Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
At the mention of coming with to Galar, Ettie would be a little bit quiet - not ambivalent or anything, but simply thinking it over. The idea of leaving Plum City had already been a big change for her - but to leave Arciel entirely, it seemed like it'd be a big adventure in of itself..! Before long though, she'd smile and giggle; nodding to Azur. "I'm happy to go wherever you go, Azur!" She'd chirp to him; reaching an arm over so that she could hug him, nuzzling her cheek against his side. Anywhere was good, as long as she had her family to rely on.
As she returned to the game though, and as her controls got more manageable... Ettie would, once more, be subject to Azur's puns; prompting the young girl to only giggle, and Anne to make an over-dramatic groan - her paws covering her face. "Then let's bring on the aten- antenn..." Briefly, she'd trail off and purse her lips after stumbling over her words - forgetting about the game at hand, in lieu of being in deep thought for a few seconds. Eventually though, she would exclaim "Antenlery!" with a rather confident look about her!
... Only for her to blink a bit, and grow sheepish. Grinning shyly at Azur as she scratched her cheek - admitting "That... made more sense in my head..." with a soft and embarrassed giggle. Maaaaybe she should leave the puns to the pun-master here? Even Anne was giving her a bit of a quizzical look! Eheh...
In any case, it seemed that the game was now behaving as expected; allowing the both of them to defeat the enemies, and to continue onwards through the level. It seemed that Azur's score was higher right now - and while she technically didn't mind it if Azur was doing better than her at the moment... She still wanted to try closing the gap, or to even try beating his current score - taking a sip of her tea as she tried to get into the zone! XFhcwsqDp_ (10 Dexterity, 25 Luck)
"Heh, it's not like we'll go soon or something... But yeah, I'll one day show you my hometown. Compared to this place... How to say.. Galar is both equally high tech and feels quaint... like, a snuggly, tucked in place that is a blend between new and old. That's the feeling at least. Compared to Arciel, I think Galar have this idea where you have to live with part of the past, so that it will continue on to the future."
Hmmm, that's about it, he guess? Well, glad to see that Ettie is laughing like that! "Oh my, what a bombshell for you to try to pun like that. Let me slug this one before I continue with more puns..." Azur drinks his energy drink once more. "...Oh, I already did countered. I was too slow on realizing that."
Well, as for Azur, he returned to the game again, purposely ignoring both the Joltik, Milcery and poor Zeit groaning at him. To be bombarded by puns like this, man, the puns are cold! Freezing cold even!
Azur was glad to see that his snail no longer glitching, but all thing considered, he did not expect that there are this many bugs already... For the meantime it behaves like how it should, but what about later? Hopefully it will stay stable... Or, if he want more money he guess he can say he hopes that they ended up showing more glitches.
"Not sure if I have the patience for it. While snail pace is fine, I'm looking for Turtle Pace. I think it need more lubricant."
After some more platforming and shooting, you arrive at the Golden Mushroom at the end of the level. Your character jumps on it, which transitions into the score screen, and your score goes up... and up... and up...
Uh-oh. Looks like the game has got stuck in a loop.

Even more puns; though they didn't seem to hit as hard as the last ones (or maybe Ettie just needed to catch her breath?) from the gentler laughs she gave in turn, she still looked plenty amused at them all - offering Azur a warm smile. "I'll figure out a good pun sooner or later!" She'd chirp to him, briefly taking the time to nuzzle her cheek against his upper arm in an affectionate fashion, before returning to her game.
However... The 'lubricant' pun, as they made their way along through the platforming, would make Ettie fall quiet; a faintly confused expression crossing her face as she stared at the screen, in visible thought. "... Lubricant?" She'd soon question, tilting her head at Azur.
With things no longer glitching though, both of them would be able to make their way through the rest of the stage, and soon arriving at the end of it, seeing what looked to be a golden mushroom! Ettie would perk up a bit curiously, wondering what mushrooms had to do with snails - but nonetheless would grab it, so that they could finish up this level!
As their scores went up, Ettie was eager to see whether or not her score beat Azur's; and as her number climbed up past Azur's, once his stopped normally, she'd be unable to help but internally cheer at herself! She did it! ... Except that the score kept going.
And going.
And going.
The sight of this would first perplex Ettie, but she'd soon be unable to help giggling at the sight of the numbers eternally ticking upwards, facepalming with one hand! "Pftehehe; I know I wanted to see if I could catch up to your score - or even beat it - but this is ridiculous!" She'd remark to Azur; grinning in clear amusement. "Should we see how high the score gets, or should we try pressing buttons to skip it?"
Either was fine for her, honestly; she was just amused that the glitch happened at all! Though, maybe other goofy things would happen, if they waited? jvMardSp (10 Dexterity, 25 Luck)
"Well, better get to it, then... otherwise I have to call ya..." Azur make a knowing, and teasing smile, before poking at the younger girl's rib "slowpoke."
That was admittedly so bad that the teen chuckled while facepalmed. "But it's OK, I'll sure you'll get there. No need to hurry. Good puns often came out of nowhere, sometimes accidentally, sometimes you got it on the tip of your tongue but you don't know what's the good way to fire it... in my case, it came with where I came from."
Azur gently rubbed his little sister's head. Hmm, so Ettie had no idea what's lubricant is. "...Basically it's a substance that reduces friction. It makes a surface slippery. For snails it's the slime they left behind as they moves." well, that sort of explanation should be easy enough right? "...However I don't think it applies to Slugma or Magcargo. They left behind a trail of heat or something..."
..And there they goes, another bug! Perfect! Azur chuckled as he saw the number goes up, up, and up... "Well, that's just ridiculous," he pointed at the score with a smirk. To Ettie's question, he pondered it up for a bit before deciding. "I think we should probably stay a bit to see how it goes up. See what sort of bug crops up, whether it's just because it's looping the enemy's death animation and registering it as a valid death or it's something else..
Mine is going up as usual, so maybe there are some sort of trigger to the glitch... position, weapon, or probably the character itself... hmm.. Lemme get to your spot and I'll try to bomb the enemy over there."
..Thankfully side scrolling game like this shouldn't have any issue if two players stood in the same spot, right? Anyway, Azur moved his snail to Ettie's snail that they overlapped, and then attacked an enemy nearby."
It works! However, now your character avatars are now switching between who is in the foreground rapidly until Ettie is jumped forward by it, then her score stops while Azur's starts skyrocketing now!
Quick Ettie! While you're score is still higher!

Being poked in the rib would prompt a giggle from Ettie; visibly ticklish, if the way she flinched back and hunched a little was anything to imply. Grinning happily though, she'd lean into Azur; trying to sound as dopey and deep-voiced as possible as she drawled out a long "Poooooke~" like an actual Slowpoke. If Azur was gonna start calling her a slowpoke, she might as well make the most of it!
Before long though, the score bug would come along - and as Azur remarked on just how ridiculous the score going up, up, and up was, Ettie couldn't help but giggle and nod in agreement. Just how high was it going to get?? Azur's pondering over the glitch would make her tilt her head a little curiously as she listened - though she also, admittedly, didn't entirely get everything that he explained and theorized over. Azur would have an idea on how to replicate the bug, however - and as he brought his snail over into the same spot as hers, and bombed a nearby enemy, well...
... It was safe to say, that Azur's attempt to replicate the glitch would succeed, as his score began skyrocketing now, after the two avatars flickered between each other! "Ehehehe, you got it, Azur!" However, it would also cause Ettie's score to stop increasing - making the young girl blink. Wait - was Azur's score going to beat hers again, at this rate? She wanted the higher score!
Attempting to replicate the glitch as well, Ettie would now try to overlap her character over Azur's, before attacking a nearby enemy once more - wanting to see just how high, exactly, her score would get. "You're not gonna beat my score today; ehehehe!"
... How high was Ettie gonna try to get her score, before she was satisfied? XHxsEuUi (10 Dexterity, 25 Luck)
"Alright that was cute," he admitted, messing with his adoptive sister's hair. "Sounds less chill tho, how about this?" This time it's Azur's turn to imitate Slowpoke. He purposely made his voice barely louder than a whisper, but sounded very lazy and droopy. Come to think of it, when he first started his lesson in the nursing academy, there was a certain classmate that copied pokemon mannerism. He thought that they should be in researcher related majors instead such as pokemon behavior and communication, but they ended up attending the same class anyway... it was amusing. He guess he picked up some of their weird tendency.
...Well that's nothing compared to an Alola trainer school headmaster that copies all 800+ Pokemon and make puns based on their names though!
Hmmm, that's not quite the bug that he's trying to replicate. Azur sipped his energy drink, sticks out his tongue not at the bitter taste (in fact, it's fizzy and quite tasty) but at the memory of spending restless night trying to tackle problems like the medicines that he made not being effective enough... or whether there are defects and such.
...Hm, back to the topic, it seems that while the glitch isn't replicated, instead the avatar switching between his and Ettie's. Azur jotted down the problem, then put a big note asking "is this a feature or is this a bug?"... considering that the two sprites are of the same size, so it only makes sense after all!
"Hey, I don't think it work like tha--" too late. Ettie now attempting to do it again. Well, he guess if this is the same glitch then probably... it will work again? What with this girl and her ability to attract glitches anyway?
"Well, I'll be doing the same then."
Ettie's competitiveness is endearing, but he's less in this for the score. He's in here for the bugs, and somehow while he's leading score wise, Ettie is leading over here in bug finding. 6toqamOM + 15 DEX WC: 337

Your score suddenly stops climbing, and then the game just freezes. No matter what you push, the game is frozen on your end like the game is about to crash!
While Ettie's game is frozen, it is fine on your end, though your score also stops climbing to insane heights. Maybe whatever was causing it fixed itself? Either way, the enemies are stopped in their endless loop of death. You could probably continue on now if you liked once Ettie's game unfreeze, if it does.

As her hair was ruffled, Ettie would squeak in surprise; laughing and lifting her hands up to the top of her head, to protect her hair from further ruffling. "Azuuuuur, you're messing up my ponytaaaaiiiil~!" She'd complain jokingly, giggling with a wide grin despite it all. Vengeance would not be far behind, however; for as soon as Azur stopped, she'd attempt to leap up onto his back - climbing him like a mankey, with one hand on his shoulder for balance and grip - so that she could attempt to ruffle his hair back..! "Gotcha, ehehehehe!"
She wouldn't ruffle for very long if her climbing succeeded, though; seemingly only wanting the satisfaction of being able to do it, before she was happy to hop back down to stand next to him. When Azur began to imitate Slowpoke as well, though... Ettie would be giggling, listening and observing carefully - as if trying to learn from Azur's own version of the Slowpoke voice. And once he was done, well...
"Ppoooooooooooooooooookkkeeeeeee....~"
... It was safe to say, that she would imitate it right back - drawing out the 'poke' as long as she could in a quiet and dopey tone, much like Azur!
Was this becoming a game between them, at this point?
Back on the topic of the actual arcade game though, it seemed that something strange was going on... Namely, Ettie's character and controls had frozen up completely! And so did their scores! Ettie would blink a bit in a bewildered fashion, before reaching for the controls to poke around a bit and see if something would happen. When there was no reaction from the game, however, she would pout a little - remarking "Awww... I think I broke it."
Ah well; it seemed like Azur's game was still working, for the time being! She'd just pull up a chair to plop down and sip at her tea - seeming content to watch Azur play; especially when Anne came over - strecthing her limbs and yawning widely - before hopping on up into the chair to snuggle with her!
Maybe her controls would unfreeze soon - that, or they'd need to reset the game. Either way, she was happy to watch and see what would happen! wpxWvS03 (10 Dexterity, 25 Luck)
