Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
The Meowstic looks pensively towards you and then back at the Growlithe group. Though the one with them was very similar, he was not the one they were looking for. <She isn’t the mother of all of them but…> He made a chittering sort of noise that had one of the larger than average Growlithe come forward. <She is his mother.> The Growlithe gave a bark back. The Meowstic turned and looked to Josh and gave a small nod in thanks. <I’d appreciate any help we could get.>
As you spread out and search the surrounding area, you find that there seems to be signs of a skirmish of some sort. There is a tree that has been broken, and some ground has been leveled. However, there appears to be no sign of the Arcanine.
Agate was very thankful that this old Meowstic could somehow talk in Telepathy. It would be awkward and will take a whole lot longer if he have to translate things back and forth... He really should ask Anat and Riku to come with him later to learn that way of telepathy. But for the meantime it's the time for them to look for clues.
Jasper stayed behind with the group to ask them about what they know, like what happened, when was the last time they saw the alpha, and if there is any other alpha. Then he further asked if there are any oddities to what the Arcanine doing before she goes missing. As for Agate... he's looking at sign of footprints along with Riku. Riku has sniffed the Growlithe that was told was the offspring of the Arcanine... Trees has been broken, the ground has been leveled... What a fight.
Agate activated his aura sight, trying to find any sort of hint of where this Arcanine could be... Things with aura is that a child's aura and a parent's aura aren't necessarily similar. Neither does their size. Sometimes someone's aura is big, sometimes they're small. The best that he can do is to look for any sort of residue. Oh speaking of which, now that he have enough Aura Power...
Agate tries to widen his aura sight, more than his usual sight. Is there is any detail that he missed perhaps? Beside the ones on the road, the ones on the trees? Could there be something, like mixture of "strange" aura?
Agate however cannot keep the ability always on. He shook his head to reduce the pain of the sight. Hngh...
What just he found he wonder... is there is anything? p8Fns52r for survival skill boost (tracking) -fail- Riku the Lucario lv 30 (Full Health) 4/5 Ruri the Frogadier lv 34 (Fair) 3/5 Elazul the Swampert lv 38 (Fair) 3/5 Jasper the Arcanine lv 33 (Fair) 4/5 Durandal the Honedge lv 30 (Full Health) 4/5 Randgris the Corvisquire lv 34 (Full Health) 5/5 (EXP Share)
Once the Meowstic had finished explaining their mission to the two, Josh climbed back aboard Twilight. "Agate, do you have some flying Pokémon?"Josh asked, releasing Resheph the Dragonair from her Poké Ball. "They'll probably be our best bet to tracking them down. You can see for miles out here - there's no reason we shouldn't be able to track this Arcanine down from the air." Twilight tilted her head upward and rolled her eyes. "No, I didn't mean you couldn't try to track it down, too! You're fine!" She didn't express herself too often - when she expressed frustration, she really meant it.
Resheph took to the sky, corkscrewing over fifty feet into the air in a matter of seconds. Josh envied the day when he had the experience to soar alongside the carefree Dragonair...but she had to be fitted. Plus, controlling Pokémon in three dimensions was far more difficult than two. "Agate, Bladestorm would be awful helpful right now...but I left her on the sidelines." Though she was high up in the sky, Resheph didn't wander too far from Josh and Agate. He cupped his hands around his mouth, tilting his head up toward his aerial partner. "Hey, screech if you find anything, okay?"

A screech escapes from Resheph after a while. The Growlithe pack all seem to perk up at once and go running towards the sound. The Meowstic looks to the humans and then quickly follows after. Laying in some broken brush is a battered and bruised Arcellian Arcanine. She's unconscious, however.
Does he have a flying Pokemon on hand? "Yeah I do actually, go Randgris!" Agate tossed the Pokeball to call out the Corvisquire. "I'm counting on you, girl!" The corvid Pokemon in response cawed and quickly flew up. She probably going to scout different area than Resheph. As for Agate himself, he still trying to look around for the clues when suddenly...
"...That..."
The cry from Resheph was the one that caught Agate's attention. He quickly jumped to Jasper's back and paced him. There's no need for him to even sign further... and where they headed, that's where they found her...
Bruised, battered.... whatever caused this? Agate looked at Josh. "Do you have any revive on hand? I'll give her my share of Oran Berry. If you got any revive then good, but whatever caused this can't be that too far away... At least that's what I believe... I'll keep Randgris out just in case...
Agate signed at the crow Pokemon to keep looking. Randgris gave an affirmative caw.
In time like this, he can't switch out Riku for Anat... So he only can hope that Josh have something on hand...

Resheph slithered through the air and let out a loud cry, then sped back to Josh. "I think she's found something! Ixion, let's go!" The racer lobbed a Poké Ball, a Rapidash-sized Ponyta energing from it with a high rear, excited to get her first run through the wild flats. "Easy, girl!" he cried out to the fire-type, who seemed a little too eager to follow Resheph. Once Josh scampered aboard, Ixion couldn't help but lightly buck Josh once, startling him. "Easy!" he cried again before the Ponyta finally got more serious and chased after the Dragonair's flight path.
Her diamond-hard hooves clicked cleanly and loudly against the ground despite being off-road, entering a speedy gallop to try to keep up with Jasper and Resheph, her fiery mane and tail growing in length the faster she ran. Once his team had found the rock-skinned dog, Josh dismounted to take a look. This Arcanine was badly injured. Ultimately it would probably need to be seen at a Pokémon Center, but Josh could at least do something to ease the unconscious Pokémon's pain. "Agate, I think I only have Max Revive. I was trying to save it for the Dragon's Den, but we have little choice." He dug through his medicine compartment and found a vial of the expensive medication, administering it to the grass-type and crossing his fingers.

The Growlithe surround her closely, whining and barking out worriedly. The Meowstic stays a bit a ways away looking around at the various broken ground and broken foliage. He's pensive, on edge. Despite his timid nature, however, he knows he has to be strong for this little group at least until the Arcanine was back to full strength.
In a glow of light from the potion, the Arcanine revives slowly. Her eyes flicker open, and she whines. The Growlithe group immediately start talking to her, asking how she's doing, etc. She takes a moment before slowly managing to sit up at least. She's still got some nasty injuries, but she's also their alpha and can't help but try and look strong in this scenario.
The Meowstic hesitates before coming to the Arcanine as well and speaking in Pokemon to her. He finally nods a bit and turns to face the humans that had helped. <Thank you for finding her.... she was... attacked by a strange creature.... Not like any Pokemon we have ever seen before.... > he frowned pensively.
That max revive worked wonder, although probably it still needed a bit more time for the medicine to settle. Agate gave the Pokemons some room.... he's not sure that the huge Arcielan Arcanine will be happy if he interrupted their little reunion. Hmmm... Well, let's focus on different thing shall we? For example... That one bombshell that the Meowstic just dropped.
"...Sorry, Elder, can you say that again?" Agate asked.
Pokemon never seen before? For some strange reason to his mind, Arciel got any sort of Pokemon from various regions on top of its own variant... for someone to say that "they never seen that before" is either case of Pokemons from other area moving to places where it shouldn't... or...
Ultra Beast
No, no, bad Agate, don't think of that so early... No, don't think of that... C'mon, you're starting to breathe heavily... It's not even official. The Mama Arcanine probably just attacked by a migratory Pokemon unsure of why it's there, but just want to assert dominance. Don't think of the worst case scenario.
Agate can't even think straight in time like this. All in his mind at the moment is how to deal with this situation.
"Elder, could you ask further how does the Pokemon looked just in case?" Agate asked, still clinging to the hope that there won't be anything extremely wrong....

The powerful concoction did the trick - while the Arcanine wasn't standing even after a few minutes, it looked like she was going to at the very least walk away alive. When the Meowstic mentioned the Arcanine was attacked by something completely foreign to them, Josh noticed Agate froze. The two had been together so long that he just knew what was on Agate's mind - the Ultra Beast attacks...and that one could be nearby.
Resheph landed near Josh, letting her tail drag on the ground as she loosely coiled around him. "Did you see anything like that when you were up there?" The Dragonair shook her head - whether that was a yes or a no, he couldn't tell. He turned back to Agate. "I'll protect you no matter what, Agate," Josh said in a somber voice. This was no joke - if it indeed was one of them, the two could be in real danger. "I'm scouting on ahead. Make sure the Arcanine's okay, alright?" The racer recalled Ixion, climbing aboard Resheph and taking to the skies himself. If anything about the terrain looked off, he would probably be able to spot it from so high up.

The Growlithe were busy now barking and yipping and making all kinds of noise. The Arcanine patiently answered each of them but seemed too busy for Agate's direct worries. The Meowstic looked at Agate pensively and then back at the Arcanine. Before he could give an exact answer, however, one of the humans was on the move upwards.
High in the sky, Josh would see numerous trees had been broken and battered, but there was no sign of what had caused it now. Whatever it was..... was long gone.... Still, the wake of its damage was evident now high above.
