Soren had, actually, made his way back to the city after his little adventure down Route 7, having camped out one night in the Weeping Forest only to realize that... he really didn't have much in the way of camping gear. Or supplies. Or even anything to start a fire with, really, which was pretty important if one was to go and "rough it" in the woods at night. Not just for the sake of keeping warm, but also to keep away the stronger, more aggressive pokemon that his small team wouldn't be able to fight off on their own, try as they might.

While he'd been in the city he'd ended up in possession of a few more eggs, and after deliberating over which ones to take with him versus what pokemon, he eventually ended up choosing two that were currently nestled in his satchel in a nest of clothes; both ones which he absolutely did not recognize, but imagined this would change as soon as they hatched.

Dressed for the windier weather this time around, Soren took himself right up to the entrance of the Weeping Forest and then past its borders, into the dense foliage and onto the dirt path marking the route to the next city. While he still didn't have much in the way of supplies, the most important thing was his pokemon were well-rested, meaning if he came upon the same occurrence of several... lady trainers... in a row... he imagined he'd be able to hold his own well enough.
