Bass City was big and bright and full of noise. It was hard to find a single street corner that wasn't crowded. He couldn't seem to walk two steps without bumping into someone. This was not exactly a problem. He was a people person. He enjoyed meeting new people.
The real issue was that it made it difficult to try and slowly desensitize a somewhat people-shy Oricorio with a few jitters about performing. So, it took what seemed like an impossible level of searching to try and find the perfect place to practice where there might be a FEW people but not an overwhelming number. So, maybe it wasn't too much of a surprise he'd ended up in the bad part of a town.
Every city had one. He wasn't overly concerned about it - worse came to worse, he was sure his dancing legs were powerful enough to outrun anyone that might have it out for them. He let his Oricorio, Coco, out of her Pokeball. She gave a look around at her surroundings, blinked a few times, then tilted her head while looking at Raul.
"Corio?"
"Admittedly, not the most picturesque scenery, but look at how colorful everything is!" He gestured at a brick wall that was absolutely covered in graffiti. "It's almost like being in the art district!"
Coco paused to look at the graffiti, then she brightened and flapped her wings happily, seeming pleased. "Ori ori co."
Raul smiled gently. "Now-" He gave a flourish of his hand. "Let us begin."
He struck a pose and started to clap to help his Pokemon keep her dance steps in time.
"Co co rio ori co-" Coco kept time with the clapping moving her bird feet this way and that way and waving the feathers of her wing in an elegant slow motion.
"Beautiful! Steady! Let the tempo build!" He was mirroring the movement of her feet, circling with her, still clapping to keep time.

Bass City, in a way, was almost louder than even Plum City was, despite the difference in size the two cities had. Bright lights, people busking on almost every corner, concerts and theaters ahoy - there was almost always something to draw one's attention, and all the different stimuli could almost be overwhelming for anyone who was unused to city life!
It was probably a good thing that Ettie was used to it all, then. Certainly, Bass City was very different from Plum City - less metro, more artsy - yet it was still a city at its core; and the young girl was more than happy to familiarize herself with the place. She was weaving her way among the crowds with a practiced hue, she was climbing atop the smaller buildings in the city, she was stalking her way through the alleyways... Though Azur probably would, normally, keep her feet on the ground in the main streets, he wasn't here to keep an eye on Ettie today; given that her older adoptive brother was busy studying in the hotel room!
The only ones here to keep an eye on her, as a result, were her pokemon, and Zeit - Azur's Arcanine. Though her antics were sure to worry the large Arcanine, Anne was unconcerned about it all for the most part; this was what they did in their day to day lives after all, before Azur came into the picture. Bran, too, seemed unconcerned - if only because he was more dazzled at his surroundings, staring at and admiring everything that they passed by! The murals! The people playing music! The performers! It was all so new to him; and though any other Rookidee might be overwhelmed, Bran was just eating it all right up!
In addition to Anne and Bran were Duchess, Princess, Adhara, and Sirius; Duchess wanting a chance to spend some time with the little electric-type pups, and Princess - of course - being inseparable from her sister. Though they sometimes needed help to keep up with her - particularly Adhara and Sirius, who couldn't really climb with their stumpy legs - it seemed that the pack was having a wonderful day exploring the city as well!
As they wandered into a less reputable part of the city, though... A distant sound would catch the young girl's attention; a rhythmic clapping, the sound of talons and feet against pavement, and the chirping of a pokemon. Ettie, curious, would turn to the other pokemon - gently hushing them and gesturing for them to stay quiet - as she began to quietly and carefully stalk in the direction of the sounds. Just who else was out here, and what was going on...?
Peeking around a brick wall, Ettie would notice an Oricorio and her trainer, the duo both appearing to be dancing, from the looks of things! For a short while, Ettie would watch the duo from her hiding place just around the wall; watching as they circled around, moving elegantly and to the tempo of the trainer's clapping. It was quite an interesting sight, though...
... Ettie also couldn't help but note, just how nice the man looked. This wasn't even a thing of attraction - especially given that she was a little too young for that - but simply the fact of the air he gave off with how he dressed himself! This man looked as though he was reasonably well off; and Ettie could already feel the temptation to try and swipe something off of him, to see if she couldn't get a handful of pen. A man like this trainer probably wouldn't even notice that he was missing a bit of cash!
And so, as Ettie began to study the movements of their dance, she would also be observing the man - particularly keeping a close eye on his pockets, one of which she could spy where an object was outlined against the outside of said pocket. Was that a wallet? Memorizing the movements the best she could, and using it to get an idea of the timing, Ettie would soon come out from behind the wall; stalking closer to the older man, and waiting for his movements to bring him just close enough to her for her to attempt and swipe the object out of his pocket!
Anne, meanwhile, would be standing guard; ears pricked as she listened from just around the corner. Listening for the slightest sound of Ettie having been caught, or of a potential altercation, Anne was ready to step in and protect her trainer if need be - though she and Ettie's other pokemon would remain hidden here, so as to not blow her cover.
Which only raised the question: Would Raul catch Ettie attempting to pickpocket him? And if so, what would he do? Anne the Rockruff - Level 7 Duchess the Electrike - Level 7 Princess the Snubbull - Level 6 Adhara the Yamper - Level 1 Sirius the Yamper - Level 1 Bran the Rookidee - Level 1

My name is Zeit. If it's not clear before, I'm a Pokemon. Arcanine to be exact. I forgot how old I am or what my real name were, but then again most of my life has been a blur. I was tossed away by my original trainer who mistakenly gave me Fire Stone when I was very young. An evolution that quick stunted my growth... that was the word if I recall. He was unhappy with the result of my evolution, and tossed me away. From that day on I had to live on the street. It was... sad part of my life indeed.
In a way, I did not regret that sort of life though... I ended up finding a new trainer who took care of me better than my old trainer. He gave me nutritional food even if it caused him to get less money.... money, are those what those paper called? They made good sounds, and I don't quite get what human like gathering them for. Aren't papers just papers? But either way it sounded valuable for humans... Well, regardless he bought a lot to nurse me back to health... For the first time in a while, I felt happiness...
From that day on, I'm Zeit the Arcanine. I'm a medical Arcanine tasking with carrying medical supplies my trainer told me to carry, and his trusted steed. Feeling needed made me happy... and being appreciated of what I am made me happy. Yes, it was life full of bliss and happiness... Yes, if it's for my trainer, I'd do anything...
...But um... I think I'm bad at babysitting, Azur.
While the rest are with Ettie, Zeit is walking few steps behind the group. He's making sure that Sirius and Adhara could climb the stairs. If they can't, he would carry them everytime up the stairs just in case... The little ones are amusing, he thought... They need to be protected because he's some sort of the big brother...
...And at that time that he noticed Ettie telling the party to slow down. What?
Oh right, I forgot to say, but this girl, Ettie is... My trainer's little sister. Apparently she's "adopted" I don't quite understand what's the meaning of that word just yet. But either way, she's... a troublemaker apparently. And well, here I am apparently having to babysit her... What should I do? I like this girl. She was one of the very first human I trusted since my recovery...
As much as possible I don't want her to be harmed in any way... Or alerting any authorities... But I can't let her Covet anything either! Aarrrrghh...
Too bad that while Zeit is having a crisis of his life, Ettie is already doing her act... ALREADY!? Zeit only could gawk when the act happened.
Raul was still clapping and dancing and watching his Oricorio's movements carefully.
"Beautiful, my dear, beautiful! Let's turn up the heat!" Then, the tempo changed becoming faster and more varied. And so, too, did the steps. It looked like Raul was giving himself and his Pokemon a workout! He didn't seem to notice the girl that was stalking him from behind the wall, and his Oricorio was too busy focusing on her routine to notice, either.
His movements made him more than a little difficult to swipe from. In fact, Ettie might have caught air the first couple of times, but she did, in fact, succeed in grabbing the object she had seen earlier out of his pocket.
Success! And he still hadn't noticed! However, a few dance steps to the right, and Coco the Oricorio DID notice. She stopped suddenly to tilt her head. "Corio?"
Raul, to his credit, did not stop dancing but did an elegant pivot to face whoever or whatever his Oricorio had paused to look at and continued his dance steps. He blinked seeing the young girl in front of him, then smiled charmingly at her.
"Ah, hello there, my friend! I hope I have not disturbed you." He glanced at Coco and shook his head.
"Ah-ah. The show must always go on, my dear. You cannot stop! To stop is to lose the captivation and adoration of your audience! The captivation and adoration you so rightly deserve! You must let them see you!"
Coco's eyes widened, and the bird Pokemon seemed a bit flustered for a moment due to her mistake. She gave a determined nod and tried to resume dancing; though, her steps seemed a little more clumsy and uncertain now that Ettie was there.
"You got this! You are a talented and beautiful dancer!" After encouraging his Oricorio, he addressed Ettie. He sounded a little out of breath due to all the dancing.
"Excuse me. I am sorry. We are practicing," Raul said, his smile returning.
Then, he noticed the small object in Ettie's hands. Perhaps Ettie would notice it, too. It was a rectangular object, but it was not a wallet. It was a clear pack filled with a sparkly gold glitter substance with some fancy brand name title on it. In smaller print under the title were two words:
Body Glitter
Raul appeared a little startled, and there was a short, thoughtful pause on his part. Then, his smile returned once more.
"Ah, thank you so much for picking that up for me. It must have fell out of my pocket." He chuckled. "How lucky I am that you were here! It would truly be a shame if I were not able to add more sparkle in my life if I needed it!"
He gave a few short claps, and he and his Oricorio stopped dancing. He held out his hand. "May I please have it back, my friend?"

Ettie seemed to be completely oblivious to Zeit's crisis and gawking over her antics; instead being more focused on the task at hand; namely swiping from Raul's pocket! Though the first couple of attempts to swipe from the much larger dancer were a failure - Raul's movements being just a hair too unpredictable - Ettie would only furrow her brows in a bit of frustration and building anticipation; knowing that she had to grab whatever it was that he had in his pockets and get out of here before anyone notice!
Anne, meanwhile, would simply sigh a little at Zeit's gawking; patting the Arcanine reassuringly with a paw. She'll be fine; I'm keeping an ear out. She would reassure the larger canine in a hushed voice of gentle barks and rumbles; an ear indeed being pricked in the direction of the dancers and thief alike. At the first sign of trouble, the pack would be ready to step in as needed. Adhara and Sirius were getting antsy though, fidgeting in place - whereas Duchess and Princess were deathly still and silent; waiting to see what would happen.
Though the first two grabs were a miss, Ettie's third attempt to slip the object in the pocket away would succeed; making the girl grin, backing away a couple paces and glancing down in her hands to examine what her ill-gotten loot was... Only to freeze in place, when she heard the Oricorio stop, to chirp inquiringly. Busted! The bird pokemon's trainer would soon notice her as well - greeting her with a charming and friendly smile. As the Oricorio soon returned to her dancing at the trainer's direction, and as he apologized, Ettie would attempt to act natural; standing up straight and offering the older man a friendly smile.
"It's okay, mister!" She'd soon respond; grinning gently. "You two look like you're practicing really hard!" Glancing down at her hands once more, she'd try to discreetly put the object away in her jacket - though... It would be then that both she and Raul noticed the object in her hand, and what it was: a little pack of body glitter...! This would make Ettie blink a bit, and tilt her head a little; almost forgetting that she was supposed to be acting natural, and instead appearing quizzical!
Now that the jig was up though, Raul would be asking for the body glitter back; extending a hand in her direction. Ettie would, curiously, take a second to first examine the pack - gently tilting it back and forth in her hands - before nodding, and handing it back to Raul. It wasn't anything of value or interest to her (besides the fact it was pretty to look at,) and being asked to hand it back was better than being chased or grabbed at. "Here you go, mister!" She'd chirp with a smile; though the smile soon turned inquisitive, as she tilted her head. "What's body glitter for...? It seems like it'd be messy to just dump it all over yourself!"
Not to mention Azur once mentioning glitter's propensity for getting everywhere, it seemed like glitter would be more trouble than it's worth!
Now that the jig was up though, Anne would take the chance to slowly come out from behind the brick wall as well; Bran perched on her head and watching the dancing, and the rest of the pack trailing behind. She would sit a respectful distance away from Raul and Coco; though still remained relatively near Ettie, leaving no doubts as to who her trainer was. Duchess, as happy to ever to meet a new friend, would have her tail wagging - and so would Sirius', both electic type pups slowly coming up to Raul to greet him with gentle yips! Princess and Adhara, though, would remain at Anne's side - Princess for the sheer fact that she just wanted to sit against the brick wall and doze, and Adhara out of relative caution.

Ah right, it happened already. Why, ain't that lovely? Honestly, I might have to interfere before Azur knew of this... now how to interfere with the least chance of possible altercation? I don't want to upset Anne, but more than anything I don't want to upset Azur... mmm, maybe I should just block the way when she almost got caught? Zeit's mind particularly turning around, trying to think the best possible way for him to insert himself in that situation without compromising his trainer's little sister... Hmmm...
Anne's assurance is good, but at this point he preferred an assurance of someone who's not being an accomplice to this act... After all, he felt like he's alone in this angle of wanting Ettie to not get away with the item... Anne's focus seem to be solely on Ettie's safety instead. Zeit soon takes the first step...
...Only for Ettie to return the item to the man's hand. Whuh.
Body Glitter... what's that? It's something similar to strange powder that apparently could make Pokemon becomes shiny version of themselves? That's... odd... what for does human need it? Either way looks like things are going fine... I guess I can approach them safely now...
Zeit followed the rest, probably with him being the biggest of the bunch it might looked a bit scary. But the Arcanine really is just here for babysitting the young girl. He barked in greeting toward the man, a bit of a tail wag to show that he's not hostile. With busking being normal in this city, he wondered if this man is practicing for the same reason.
