Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? “I’d say I’m a curious person. I love learning new things and meeting new people. As for the meeting new people thing though, I can also be a bit shy. I really like making new acquaintances and I always hope they might turn out to become friends at some point. But I’m really bad at initiating a conversation with someone I don’t know. Apparently I can also be somewhat difficult to talk to, since I sometimes jump from one topic to the next. To me it makes sense, really. Just apparently not to someone who can’t see the trail of thoughts leading to the new topic. “ Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? “Ah, well, it’s my dream. You see, one day I want to be known as a formidable Pokemon breeder. I want young people from all over the world to come to me to get their first Pokemon. And I want to be able to breed and raise the perfect pokemon for each and every one of them. So that I can see their happy faces when they head off together. Hoping that they will form a strong bond while travelling or living together. That’s my dream.” Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? “That’s simple. I’ve been born here and lived here all my life. That’s why I care about this place and the people living here. When I open my own Pokemon daycare one day, it will be here in Arciel. To support the region I love.” What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. “Personally, I like to think that my best attribute is that I accept people as they are. Of course I might not agree with everyone, but I always remind myself that everyone has their own reasons for doing things the way they do them or thinking the way they do. And often, there is no objective right or wrong, even though we generally like to see our own opinion as the objectively right one, instead of the subjectively right one that it is. I also get along well with Pokemon, but since I want to become a breeder, this should be obvious.” What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! “I guess I can be a bit naive sometimes. I try not to, but since I always try to find the best in people, I do get carried away sometimes. Which leads to me missing the obvious red flags. But I’d rather have it this way than any other. And I can be a bit too curious sometimes, I think. When I see something interesting or something I can’t explain, I want to figure it out. Even if it might be a bit dangerous.“ What was your childhood like? How was school? “Pretty quiet, I guess. But happy. My mom and I lived alone, so I had to help her with the farm every now and then. I didn’t mind though, because that meant I was able to work with the farm Pokemon. At first I was really intimidated though. I was still small and most of my mom’s Pokemon seemed really strong and scary back then. But she taught me how to handle them. School was fun. Though there are some things I would have preferred to learn in a more hands-on approach rather than through lessons and books. But all in all it was nice. I love learning new things after all. I also had some friends in school that I met up with whenever I wasn’t helping out my mom. I’ve never been the person who can sit inside the house, even when it’s raining, so we usually played outside.” How is your relationship with your family? “I love my mom. She’s amazing. We do a lot together. We’ve been working on the farm, yes, but it wasn’t all work. During the afternoon, we usually took the time to go and have a picnic nearby. Then we talked about Pokemon, school, everything we thought about. Every now and then we headed to Plum City together. I think those little moments are what I’ll miss the most when I travel. But it’s not like I can’t come back every now and then, so I’m not sad.” What do you like to do for fun? “As boring as it may sound, I love going for a walk. It doesn’t matter where, although I prefer if it’s somewhere in nature. When the weather is nice, I also like to just sit down somewhere and have a picnic. Although that’s a lot more fun if done together with other people. I also like cooking. That’s why I’m usually the one preparing the food for a picnic. I don’t mind though.” What are your feelings on romance? “Umm… I guess I never thought much about that? Right now, it seems like this strange, big thing that might happen someday. Like, something that might get important in the future. But so far I didn’t really pay it any mind I guess?” What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. “Long-term it’s to open my own Pokemon daycare someday. I don’t know when that will be the case and I don’t know where I’ll live then, but that’s my plan. Short-term, I want to travel through Arciel. To become a formidable breeder, I want to learn how other breeders all over Arciel work. Not only that, but I want to see how different people interact with their Pokemon and what they value to see in a pokemon. The needs of an aspiring trainer are surely very different compared to those of a coordinator starting their career, or a farmer searching for the perfect companion to help them with their work. Only when I understand what everyone wants and needs can I breed the perfect Pokemon for them.” If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? “That’s a difficult question. I don’t have a favourite Pokemon or typing per se. Every Pokemon has something unique and special and I love them all equally. I don’t want to cuddle with every one of them, but even a Grimer has some unique ability which makes it special. But if I’d have to choose a typing, I’d probably choose psychic for their insight into the emotions of others. “ What do Pokemon mean to you? “A lot. To me, they’re as important as other people. They can be friends, family or co-workers, depending on what you need. To me, they’re all three at once. Close like family, but not related to me, so more like a friend. And we work together towards a shared goal. I can’t imagine a life without them. That’s part of why I want to become a breeder, after all.” Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? “Not really. At least I don’t think so. It’s a very broad question so nothing comes to mind right now. I’ll probably have dozens of ideas later though. That’s how it always goes with things like these after all. The witty remarks only come to mind hours after the conversation.”

Being an outdoorsy person, Scarlett usually wears simple and practical clothing. Usually a shirt or sweater and a pair of jeans, though she does wear the odd skirt or blouse every now and then. Additionally, most of her clothing has pokemon motifs. She likes to have her long brown hair loose, though she always has some hair ties with her in case it could get in the way of work. Aura Scarletts Aura is predominantly of a soft, pastel pink colour with streaks of silver and grey inside. It seems to glow from the inside like embers of a fire.
