After a small stunt and battle with his new Cloyster, Armand returned all of his Pokemon into their Poke Balls to rest and continued on his way to his destination. As time has passed, blue skies became orange as he continued walking through the path and staring at the scenery around him. For a while, everything was peaceful and quiet, which was enough for him to clear his mind from the previous events yesterday and earlier.
"Excuse me?"
Armand stopped walking and saw a young girl in a cute dress who seemed to be younger than him approached him in front of him.
"If you don't mind, mister, if you like a battle with little me. Don't worry, I won't go easy on you"
He was a bit creeped out at the girl's attire and request. But he knew she wasn't like any pink-dressed girls as she was holding two Poke Balls in her hands. He wanted to get to his destination fast, but he wanted to train his Pokemon for his upcoming Gym battles. So it couldn't hurt to battle another trainer.
"Alright. But don't expect to cry when you lose."
As he assumed their positions, the girl sent out her Alcremie while Armand sent out his Lapras. She then started by commanding her Cream Pokemon to use Aromatic Mist, which the mist she released made her perked up. While confused at her first move, Armand ordered Melodie to use Water Gun as it hit the Fairy-type. But his opponent countered with several Tackles on his Lapras. Surprised at her move, Armand responded by commanding Melodie to use Water Gun to retaliate some of her opponent's attacks until she used Sing to stop her last attack. However, not only Alcremie avoided it, but she quickly kissed Melodie's cheek, which caused her to grew dizzy.
"Oh, look at that! Looks like Shelly is all dizzy now!"
The Fairy Tale Girl laughed as Melodie tried to use Water Gun, but her Confusion state caused her to thrash around the battlefield until she hurt herself from it before Alcremie Tackled her again. Just seeing his Pokemon like this made him growl in anger.
"Melodie, don't let your Confusion get to you! Use Sing again!" His Lapras tried to do so, but her melody was a bit off-key due to her dizziness, which the girl's Fairy-type quickly Tackled her once more. Upon seeing this, Armand growled again before he took out his Poke Ball. "Dammit. She can't battle at that state... Return!"
He then retreated Melodie back into her ball before he took out another one and tossed it to release his Cloyster.
"I'm hoping you won't go overboard with this battle like last time... Cloyster, use Icicle Crash!"
The Bivalve Pokemon grinned and released a large icicle towards Alcremie, which caused her to scream in pain.
"Hey, don't you dare mess up my Pokemon!" The girl shouted, who seemed offended at what Cloyster did.
"You said it yourself that you won't hold back. Then I'll do the same. Cloyster, another Icicle Crash!" His Pokemon did the same attack, which caused the Cream Pokemon to flinch and unable to move for a few seconds. Upon seeing this, the girl gasped in horror before Armand shouted, "Finish it with Rock Blast!"
With three stones hitting the poor Fairy-type, she fell unconscious on the ground, which caused the Fairy Tale Girl to scream before she returned her into her Poke Ball.
"Okay, now I'm really, really mad! Lilligant, teach this rude man a lesson!"
She then took out her small Grass-type as he began to giggle. Upon seeing his new opponent, Cloyster about to prepare himself until Armand knocked on his shell to gain his attention.
"Oh, no. You had your battle now. Give others a chance." He then returned him into his ball before he took out his Litwick next. "Alright, Violet. Let's finish this."
Once they decided, the girl ordered her Lilligant to use Petal Blizzard, which several petals began to spin around the Candle Pokemon in a tornado. Despite he took some damage, Violet shook it off and followed his trainer's orders to use Smog 2 times, which the second one poisoned the Flowering Pokemon after he used another Petal Blizzard. Armand then ordered Violet to use Ember several times, which made a bit more complicated when Lilligant used Synthesis at the same time to heal his injuries. Thankfully, due to Lilligant's poisoned state, it took another Smog and Ember to counter his Synthesis and Petal Dance, which wasn't enough to keep him alive in battle. As he fell, the Fairy Tale Girl's Lilligant was knocked out, much to her frustration.
"No, Lilligant!"
As she rushed to her Pokemon's side, Armand slowly walked to his injured Pokemon and carried him by his arms as Violet smiled at the sight of his trainer's smile.
"Thank you for enduring all of those attacks, Violet. Though I'm a bit guilty of pushing you a bit too far." It was true as he saw many bruises and cuts his Litwick obtained from his opponent's powerful Petal Blizzard. "I'll try to see if I can tend your injuries later, okay?"
Violet nodded weakly as he hugged Armand, much to his relief that he has no hard feelings for him from their tough battle. However, it was quickly interrupted when a satchel quickly hit the trainer's face. Once he recovered and picked it up, he saw the girl blew a raspberry as she returned her Grass-type into his Poke Ball.
"I'm telling Mom on you, you big meanie!"
She then left Armand as she cried back to her home, which he stared at her in pure confusion for a few seconds until she disappeared from his view.
"Did I really hurt her a bit too much?" He wondered aloud, which Violet just shrugged. Heck, he even wondered if she was old enough to be a trainer at all.

Armand Leclair - Rewards on the way momentarily, but as a note the Prize Money perk is passive, meat for every trainer encounter, the only exception being cycling road where you only encounter trainers and all battles are easily seen. Then the stipulation is after 3 battles you must pass a charisma roll.
After the strange battle, Armand continued walking towards his destination for another hour. He eventually stopped at another river as he sat down next to it and put his bag down. As he yawned, he then shifted his eyes to the water and stared at it for a while before he lied down on the grassy ground.
"It's almost evening and I already encountered a lot lately," he muttered as he now stared at the orange sky. "Still, if this is what trainers experienced on their travels from their interviews, then I now know how they feel to get to where they are right now."
As he continued to stare at the clouds parting in the sky, Armand's eyes began to grow heavy as he slowly closed his eyes. Just as he could drift off to sleep, he heard a loud growl not far away from where he was. He stood up and looked around to find the source of it. When he found it, his eyes widened to see a small light-blue serpentine Pokemon was stuck between two rocks in the river. Upon he saw this, Armand pulled out his phone and pointed it at the Water-type Pokemon.
"A Huntail. It originally lived deep in the sea, but I'm surprised one of them lived here, especially something so small." He then took a closer look at the snake-like fish and noticed that it was struggling to get out of the rock, which made him frown at what was happening and sighed in dismay. "And it looks like it's having trouble with those rocks. I guess I should help it a bit."
He then ran towards the helpless Pokemon and without any hesitation, he jumped into the shallow part of the river and slowly removed Huntail from the rocks. After that, he got out of it and walked back to where he left his bag as he placed the Deep Sea Pokemon back into the water near him.
"Are you okay back there, little guy?"
While he was unfazed at its strange appearance, the Water-type winced as he frowned and looked down on the water. From what he could tell on its expression, he could guess he was ashamed for his helpless state from his former situation.
"Don't worry, you're safe now. If you like, you can go back to the ocean."
When he said, the Huntail looked around and saw several streams of the river spread throughout the area. Armand also noticed this and frowned at his embarrassing situation.
"Oh, right. I guess it would be too difficult for you to go back by yourself. Unless you're also on a journey, too, right?" The aquatic, serpentine Pokemon then looked up and stared at the 25-years-old trainer for a few seconds. "I guess that would be a yes."
As he took a deep breath and stared at the orange sky as Huntail noticed it, too.
"I'm actually traveling to another town for a job. But to be honest, I'm also here on a journey around the region. I aim to challenge the gyms and train my Pokemon and myself for upcoming challenges ahead." It was half-true. Sure, he moved here to gain income for his journey and his family, but he wanted to become a trainer so he could experience the same battles as he saw on the videos. When he looked at Huntail again, he smiled and slowly patted on its head. "If you're a bit lost, then how about you join me?"
When he suggested, the wild Pokemon looked up to the trainer again as his eyes widened.
"Right now, I don't have a destination in mind other than the one related to my job. But I'm hoping to meet more Pokemon and help them out if they are in trouble. Of course, I can't leave you alone all by yourself after that small incident, do I?"
He then took out an empty Poke Ball from his bag and showed it to the Huntail.
"Of course. it's up to you if you want to join me or not. Regardless of your decision, I will respect it."
The Deep Sea Pokemon quietly growled as it stared at his Poke Ball. But after a few seconds, it nodded in approval. Upon he saw his answer, Armand smiled before he threw the ball to Huntail.

Note: Okay, I'll keep that in mind. I'll use one Poke Ball for a capture attempt to Huntail by befriending.
One shake, two shakes... Armand watched the ball as he waited for the Huntail's answer. To his surprise, the ball popped open and released the Deep Sea Pokemon, which broke it in half in the process. The trainer sighed to see his Poke Ball broken. However, he smiled as he turned to Huntail.
"So that is a no then. I understand." While he was a bit disappointed, he was happy that the wild Pokemon reached his decision. "As I said, I won't stop you. Just be careful on your way back, okay?"
The Huntail nodded and as he looked back at the trainer one more time, he left his side and swam away into the river as Armand waved goodbye to him. It was his first failed capture attempt, but he wasn't frustrated about it. He just helped out a Huntail and that was all he matter for him right now. Happy at this outcome, he stood up and picked up his bag as he stared at the river one more time. With a nod and a smile, he turned around and walked away as he resumed his journey.

Armand sighed in exhaustion. How long was he walking in this seemingly long route? He knew he was traveling from Birch City because of his job, but he never expected that he encountered so many wild Pokemon, some that he befriended and captured such as Melodie and Cloyster, and battled some of the trainers traveling in this route. Now that he thought about it, he realized that his business trip has somehow turned into a full-fledged Pokemon journey. Then again, he chose his life as a contract worker and a Pokemon trainer for a reason. So there was no reason to make excuses about it.
Past events aside, he then noticed something coming to his view. As he continued to walk, he saw a wooden gate in front of small buildings. Above it was the sighed that said, "Cedar Town", something that made him smile and sighed in relief.
"It's about time I got here. I guess the first thing I should do to check in a nearby inn for an overnight stay and take a bath."
But just as he could head over to the gate, he heard a small commotion not far away from where he was. He knew he was so close, but he couldn't just leave it alone. So he turned around and head to the source of the noise. With his ears as his guide, he ran into a small pocket of trees near a river. To his surprise, he saw a pack of Galarian Zigzagoon with two Galarian Linoone and an Obstagoon surrounding two Sentrets and Wooloos. But rather than seeing them being abused by the Dark/Normal-type line pack, he saw all of them bawling with the Blocking Pokemon's eyes flowed down like small waterfalls.
"W-What the heck?" He was flabbergasted at what he just saw. He took a quick look at his Pokedex app and after reading the strange Zigzagoon line's entries, he became perplexed how these battling-loving Pokemon turned into crybabies. "I would ask what is going on here, but I doubt all of you are too busy crying to answer."
Before he could rub his temples, he noticed something a few steps away from the bawling Pokemon. A blue small lizard with a spiral tail was staring at the river on the waterfront. Noticing that it wasn't crying like the others, he took a quick scan on it with his phone and checked its entry while he slowly approached it to take a closer look. However, he stopped when the Pokemon turned around and noticed the trainer. At first, he was surprised that it saw him. However, he took a deep breath and offered his hand to it.
"It's alright, little guy. I'm not going to h-"
Before he could finish his sentence, the lizard let out a Water Pulse from its mouth, which caused the trainer to flew back a few steps away from it. He was surprised again. He never expected a seemingly timid Pokemon to attack him. However, he was undeterred as he tried to approach it again.
"H-Hey. It's alright, Sobble. I'm here t-"
The Pokemon quickly fired another Water Pulse before he could finish, which caused him to jump to his left to avoid it. He knew that it somehow won't listen to reason, so he had to resort to another method to calm it down. With that, he took out his Poke Ball and stared at the Sobble as it slowly backed away from the black-haired man.
"Melodie, I need you-"
Once more, he was interrupted as it fired again towards Armand, which pushed him further back as another Poke Ball fell out from his back and popped open, which released his Cloyster as it cried in excitement and noticed the horrified Water Lizard Pokemon. As Armand recovered his footing, he gasped to see him fired 2 Rock Blasts at it.
"Cloyster, what are you doing?!" He shouted, which his Bivalve Pokemon flinched and slowly turned around to see his angry trainer. However, Sobble quickly charged in and wrapped its tail around the spike on his shell in a tight bind. Despite not changing its fearful expression, the trainer knew it won't listen to him as he sighed in dismay. "I'll discuss your behavior once we deal with this. Icicle Crash!"
His Cloyster followed through his command and fired an icicle to the small lizard to push it away from it. But it remained on his shell as it fired a Water Gun on his face, which he retaliated with 1 Icicle Spear and 2 more Rock Blasts thanks to Armand's commands. However, Sobble then used Water Pulse before it released its bind from Cloyster. This caused his eyes' pupils to shrink and cried angrily.
"Oh no... Not again... Don't let your confusion get to you! Use Icicle Crash one more time!"
At first, the Water/Ice-type cried in pain. However, he managed to fire an ice spear at the lizard, which caused it to fall from the ground as it was their turn to cry in pain. Upon he saw this, Armand gasped, horrified that he thought his Pokemon knocked it out. "Oh, no! Are you okay?"
Before he could approach it, the lizard quickly woke up. But as it stared at the trainer and Cloyster, tears started to flow from its eyes and started bawling. Armand froze in shock at what he saw as he remembered what its entry said.
"H-Hold on! Don't cry, please!"
As he turned to his Cloyster, he gasped to see him crying with his tears flowing out like a waterfall. And then, Armand's eyes started to tear up before he also cried as he covered his eyes. When he did, the tears around Sobble began to turn it invisible, which he noticed as he uncovered his eyes.
"No, wait! Come back!"
He wanted to chase it, but he couldn't afford to lose it from his sight especially his current state. With no other choice, he took out his empty Poke Ball and threw it to the Water Lizard before it could fully turn invisible.

Note: Used one Poke Ball to capture Sobble by battling. Victorious Spirit will be applied. Also, Cloyster's level will be 15 and his energy down by 3.
With three shakes and a click, the Water Lizard Pokemon was sealed into the ball, which allowed the black-haired trainer and his Cloyster to stop crying as they collapsed on the ground.
"Damn... That was close..."
Armand took a few seconds catching breath and as he did, he noticed the Galarian Zigzagoon line fled as the small Pokemon stared at them in confusion, which he guessed that the tear's effects wore off on them. Once he was finished, he stood up and picked up the Poke Ball from the ground.
"When the Pokedex said its tears' effects are more potent as 100 onions, it wasn't kidding. I better be careful when I take this little guy out." As he pocketed the Poke Ball that contained his new Sobble, he turned around and glared at his Bivalve Pokemon, who was also recovered from his crying fit. "As for you, Cloyster, you need to learn to be patient and listen to me more often. If you want to win, then you have to work alongside me and the others, got it?"
While he groaned in frustration, his Cloyster nodded in agreement, much to his trainer's relief.
"Good. We should not waste any more time here. I think I had enough adventures for one day."
He then returned his Pokemon into his Poke Ball and left the river as he headed towards the gate nearby. While he needed to focus on his next job tomorrow, all he wanted to do now was to rent a room in a nearby inn and rest for tonight.
