He was so proud of Birb, but it seemed while she was perched on his arm something peculair was happening. He watched as a glow enveloped her, Gilbert carefully placed her on the sand as he held the Noibat Egg close to him. Before his eyes he couldn't believe it! All that battling seemed to have paid off. Slowly changing shape and form as the white light faded it bursted out. Birb stood tall, bigger than before she had changed into a Dartrix. Gilbert gasped and grinned as he placed the Noibat egg on the sand for one quick moment. "Birb look at you!" he exclaimed as Nancy jiggled in excitement. The shiny ditto moved over to inspect the newly evolved Dartrix. Their happy moment was interupted though when a Crabrawler came out of the sand, obviously irritated by the noise they had been making near her nest. Gilbert took a look at the pokemon before grabbing his Noibat egg and adjusting the blankets that held it.

"I do need one of you." he stated turning towards the pokemon who looked ready for a fight. Birb was about to fight it but Gilbert stopped her, she wouldn't be used to her evolved form yet and he didn't want to stress her out after the battle with the Lapras. Taking his last Quick ball out he threw it towards the Crabrawler, hoping that would work. As the pokemon was sucked inside, they looked on in anticipation. Birb still seemingly ready to "have at it" if the pokemon were to pop out of the ball trying to contain it.

As much as he didn't want Birb attacking the pokemon, it seemed the pokemon breaking from the pokeball and throwing a rasberry irritated her. She swung her head back, as Gilbert looked at Birb. She raised her wings and sent a flurry of razor sharp leaves at the pokemon. The Crabrawler was taken by surprise with this, scuttering backwards as the powerful hit almost sent it back to the waters. It seemed Birb was a lot stronger than the pokemon because the Crabrawler looked beat already. In a feeble attempt it blew a bubble attack at Birb. She simply shook it off as a sting as Gilbert sighed holding onto his egg tightly. "No need to be so aggresive birb! You need to get used to your new body anyway." he picked a pokeball out of his bag. He might as well use it now. 

Carefully he gave a bit of a good luck kiss to the pokeball and then chucked it at the injured pokemon with his free hand. The Crabrawler was sucked inside as Gilbert shifted his Noibat egg. Wrapping the thing farther into its blankets. He shushed the egg listening to the rocking of the pokeball as it began to shake. Maybe the Noibat would bring them good luck when it hatched, at least  he liked to think so. 






Tl;dr: Birb used Razor Leaf on Crabrawler! Gilbert threw pokeball!

The Crabrawler had been caught. As Gilbert carefully placed the Noibat egg on the ground he walked forward to retrieve the pokeball. Placing it into his bag as he returned to his egg and picked it up within its blankets. "Good Job Birb but I really think you should rest now, let Nancy do some of the fighting how about that?" he said to the tired Dartrix as he patted her on the head. She flapped her wings and landed directly onto his shoulder. Seemingly a bit clumsy as well making him smile. Nancy jiggled with excitement as he stared at the shiny Ditto. Changing quickly into Birb before returning back to their wiggly jello like form. "Yes I know it's exciting!" he said as he shifted the Noibat egg in his arms.

Turning around to continue to walk, Gilbert noticed something underneath a tree. The glinting purple color was curious, forcing him to walk over to investigate. Two purple apricorns were sitting gently underneath the tree in the grass. He crouched and grabbed them with a free hand and a smile. Well that would work out perfectly! He could make pokeballs with these, grinning he turned to Nancy to show the pokemon. "Look!" he said as Nancy wiggled with excitement.

The time for the Noibat egg to hatch was getting near. Gilbert could tell because of its wiggling back and forth. He had walked for such a long time that it felt like days. Even Birb was starting to get a bit tired, though Nancy still seemed raring to go through this adventure. However, it was starting to get late and Gilbert knew that as soon as this little Noibat hatched he would probably retire to his ranch. In the midst of his thoughts though he saw a particularly tiny popplio playing in the sand. "Awwww look at how cute!" he had a soft spot for tiny pokemon. Also for a starter to be out here it was really lucky.

"Hold on Nancy." he could see the ditto jiggling with excitement wanting to fight probably. He had one more quick ball left and if he could so help it to avoid a fight then he would. There had been such a good day here he was hoping his luck didn't strike out. Gilbert used his free hand to grab the brightly colored ball and got closer to the pokemon. Poking its head up the tiny pokemon noticed him for a split second before Gilbert chucked the pokeball. Getting sucked inside Gilbert held the Noibat egg carefully and waited to see if the Popplio would catch.

Tl;dr: Gilbert throws Quick ball at popplio!

Gilbert watched as the ball successfully caught the pokemon. He held the Noibat egg close and celebrated with a soft smile and a jump as he walked over to pick up the pokeball. Nancy followed him as Birb seemed to have dozed off on his shoulder. Turning towards Nancy he patted the pokemon on the head, making the shiny ditto jiggle in delight. "That's right Nancy next pokemon's yours I promise." they looked like they needed some exercise anyway. It was then that he turned around and nearly tripped on what seemed to be another apricorn!

His excitement grew as he leaned down and grabbed the orange apricorn, rolling it around in his fingers for a moment before he placed it into his bag. It was then that Gilbert noticed that the egg was beginning to shake vigorously. He looked down and could see that it was very... very close to hatching. Wrapping it in its blankets Gilbert quickly climbed up into the grass. Setting down the egg so he could watch it more closely. Was it time?!

Tl;dr: Oh!? The egg is going to hatch?!

It wasn't long before the cracking of the egg resulted in a baby pokemon. Gilbert jumped up in joy as the clumsy little Noibat crawled out of the egg. Looking up at Gilbert with a little chitter. He quickly grabbed the pokemon and lifted it up. "Oh you're beautiful!" he exclaimed as the Noibat grew increasingly excited. He wasn't sure what he was going to name the pokemon yet but he was glad that this little adventure had resulted in an egg hatch. Turning though it seemed the commotion had attracted a wild pokemon. Nancy jiggled, Gilbert had promised a fight and while he was ready to go home he didn't plan on catching this pokemon either.

"Alright Nancy. Use Transform!" He said as the Ditto shifted formed. Looking that identical of the Mearanie. The wild pokemon looked shocked, bursting forward was a peck as Nancy pulled back. The only reason that he could tell who was who was because of Nancy's odd face. "Alright then use whatever move you think is best Nancy!" he watched carefully, as Nancy moved forward with a poison sting. Hitting the wild pokemon as purple bubbled began to appear. The pokemon used Venoshock in a rage, making Nancy shiver when they were hit but the robust Ditto was still ready to go.

"Use Venoshock now Nancy!" it was clear though that this wild pokemon was stronger than Nancy putting up a fight. The Venoshock did help, making the Mearanie stagger because of the poison coursing though it. As the pokemon went in for a poison sting Nancy made an attempt to dodge it, only to be hit escaping being poisoned just this once. "Finish it off with a peck!" Gilbert could see the pokemon getting tired. As the new Noibat watched in awe Nancy shot forward with a peck against the wild pokemon. Forcing it back into the waters as another hit from the poison caused it to faint, retreating back into the depths it seemed. Gilbert breathed a sigh of relief, as Nancy shifted back to their ditto form and crawled over to the group.

"Why don't we head home?" he suggested. They had caught a lot of pokemon and not to mention a new Noibat hatched. He best go home and sort out who he had. Plus he needed to head off to the next town, where there would be more potential trainers to sell to!

Tl;dr: Nancy faints Mearanie, Gilbert and the gang head home end of thread!
