Following the river upstream, Freya saw a pokemon near the edge of it. It was jumping up and down, and playing around in the mud that the river created. As it was playing around, it noticed Freya and the Wishywashy. It smiled, and then happily skipped towards them. Freya then put her hands on her knees, thanking the world for giving her a reason to stop. She had mostly stayed in her house as a child, so she never really had any sort of exercise. This made her really out of shape, which was not helpful in this situation at all.
Once the Mudkip neared the water type pokemon and white haired girl, it tilted it's head, wondering why they both looked worn out. Realizing this look of confusion, Freya said to the little guy, "Right now, we're trying to find this little guy's school. He was left behind. We've mostly been following this river, hoping that we'd cross paths with them. Have you seen them swim by here?" The hope she felt was abundant on her face, showing how much she wanted to find this pokemon's family, but also to stop running. So, the mudkip agreed to help them by pointing out where the squad went.
With gratitude in her eyes, Freya thanked the pokemon and went back to running with the fish pokemon down the river. Although the mudkip was adorable, she didn't really want to try and capture it. It seemed like it would be fun to play with, but as of right now, she didn't need any more water type pokemon. Let alone the fact that mudkip's evolutions weren't really as appealing to her as other pokemon.
Following the river even more lead to something new. A huge marill blocked the path that the river led them to. So, as Freya looked at the Marill, she pleaded with it to move out of the way, so that that the Wishywashi could get through. However, the pokemon refused to get out of the way. This wasn't because the pokemon was rude, it was actually because the pokemon had decided to stick its foot in a random hole near the bottom of the river. So, the only way for Freya to actually get through, was for her to push the pokemon out.
So, Freya took out both Clamperl, and Bounsweet. She didn't actually know exactly how the two of them were going to get the pokemon out, but she knew that there had to be some way. So, the pokemon tried every single one of their moves, only to have the Marill not even budge. That was when an idea popped into Freya's head, she realized that she could try a combination move. Even though she hasn't had enough time to work with her pokemon on one, she thought of what she could do.
Freya shouted aloud towards her pokemon and said to them, "I have an idea! Bounsweet, get in front of Clamperl! Then clamperl use watergun on Bounsweet to boost him forward. Bounsweet, while this is happening, I want you to use rapid spin, so that you don't get hurt, and so that the impact is stronger." With a bit of reluctance in their faces, they finally agreed to doing it. So, as Bounsweet got in front of clamperl, she spun around at a quick speed as Clamperl blasted Bounsweet with water. This launched bounsweet forward, creating a beautiful spiral of water as she moved forward. As Bounsweet got closer and closer, the water coming off of it started pounding the Marill out of its spot. This loosened the hole's grip enough to where the impact of bounsweet on the Marill knocked her out of the way.
With this, it thanked Freya and went on it's way, leaving Freya and her pokemon alone once again. Freya sent back her pokemon to her balls and then started back on the trail to find the Wishywashi's school.
As Freya was running down the river, she saw a shellos. The shellos seemed to be minding its business. So, Freya walked right by it, not really wanting to deal with another Pokémon at the moment. Thankfully, she started to see a school of Wishywashi’s swimming down the river. As the individual one saw them, he called out towards them, crying tears of happiness as he ran towards the group. As he joined back in, the wishywashi formed into a huge thank you, showing their appreciation for Freya’s deed. She frowned a tiny bit at the sight, knowing that she was going to miss the Pokémon, but she knew that it was going to be in a better place now.
She said her goodbyes to the Pokémon and then went on her way back to the original path that she was walking on. However, she was a lot farther than where she was before, meaning that the chasing of the school of Pokémon actually benefitted. She couldn’t really tell how much father she would have to walk, but what she did know, is that it wouldn’t be too long before she reached her end destination
As fog descended upon the area around Freya, she started to feel pretty nervous. She was filled with fear from not being able to see anything. So, she took out Bounsweet to keep her some company. Once the Bounsweet came out, she hopped into Freya’s arm, scared about the darkness that had descended upon the area. That was when she saw something pretty scary. A red eye appeared out of the darkness, with a dark shadow behind it. She was confused at the site of it, until she had gotten closer.
Once she neared it, she realized that it was just a Starmie. Laughing at the sight, she decided to pass by it, not wanting to pick another battle. So, she waved at it, as it walked towards the other direction. She went onwards, talking to her Bounsweet about the funny mistake. They laughed through their fear as they walked down the road. They would soon learn that they could get each other through anything. They’re bond was growing stronger with each growing moment, and Freya wondered if Bounsweet was ready to do some pure training. Firstly though, she’d have to see her fight once more.
As Freya was pondering over the training that she would need to do with Bounsweet, she looked in front of her to see that there was a pokemon there for the bounsweet to fight. In the darkness, she couldn't really tell what it was, but either way, it would be a good fight for Bounsweet. So, as she looked down towards the pokemon and asked her, "What do you say Bounsweet, are you up for one more fight?" With that, the bounsweet looked up at her trainer and smiled her biggest smile, showing that she was happy to.
Bounsweet then hopped out of Freya's arms, and got into a fighting position. As the enemy pokemon came closer to them, Freya identified what it was. It seemed to be a wimpod. She didn't know too much about it besides the fact that it was a water and bug type pokemon. She didn't even know what moves the pokemon would have. Either way, Freya knew that her and Bounsweet could defeat this pokemon. So, with this hope, Freya shouted out towards Bounsweet, "Bounsweet, use rapid spin on the wimpod!" The unsuspecting pokemon realized the attack too late, as it bounced off into the darkness.
Even though Freya and Bounsweet couldn't see it, she knew that it would come back. Like she thought it would, it came back into action, sending out green flashes of light towards the Bounsweet. Knowing the tactics Bounsweet has done before, she tried to use rapid spin to deflect the move. However, it wasn't until Bounsweet got hurt by the move that she realized that it was a bug type move. Those types of moves were super effective against a pokemon like bounsweet. So, the attack went through Bounsweets. As the Bounsweet grunted, it recomposed itself, waiting for Freya's command. "Bounsweet, use rapid spin once more!"
With this, the Bounsweet did it once more, knocking the other pokemon a lot farther than last time. After it didn't come back from the fog, Freya knew that it must've either fainted or given up. That meant that this battle was a victory for both her and Bounsweet. She lifted Bounsweet up in the air, and happily spun her around. She complimented her on her durability, and how she fought through the pain. She kept doing so as they neared the end of the road. Although the path hadn't ended, she could see lights coming from a town near the end of it. She was in the homestretch, but they weren't safe yet. There were a numerous possibility of things that could happen on the way there.
Bounsweet | lvl 9 | Leafguard Splash, Play Nice, Rapid Spin 7 hp/1 Energy
Clampearl | lvl 10 | Shell Armor Clamp / Iron Defense / Water Gun / Whirlpool 10 hp/3 Energy
As Bounsweet and Freya ran towards the light of the town, they saw a river holding a goldeen within it. It seemed to be staring them down. Freya didn't know exactly why a pokemon would do something like that, but it seemed like it wanted trouble. Whether this meant fighting, or just a stern talking to was beyond Freya. So, she knelt down next to the goldeen and asked what was wrong with it. When it replied back, it pointed over to another goldeen down the river from it. It seemed like the two of them weren't talking to each other. Freya frowned a tiny bit at the site, knowing that she was super lucky to be blessed with a good friend. The sad part, was that this Goldeen was having problems with its friend.
So, she got the two Goldeens together and said to them, "Hey guys, don't waste you're friendship. Whatever you're fighting over now isn't worth it. Think of all the adventures you could have together. Me and Bounsweet didn't have the greatest start either. The first time I let her out of her pokeball, she ran off into another direction. Though, we made up and even got a new friend. So please, end this feud and do what you guys love to do. Whether that be swimming, finding other cute Goldeens, or whatever else. Okay?" With that, the Goldeen she had originally seen, rolled her eyes. Though, he was considering the option. After a few moments, he agreed, and was followed by his friend. The two then swam off together, thanking Freya for the help.
With that finally taken care of, Freya walked into Cedar town, and smiled. It was a wild ride with her and her pokemon, but she was finally ready to get them to a pokemon center, and rest in one of the hotels in the area.
