Kairo was still surprised that he actually managed to get the job at the Pokemon salon, even thought he almost completely butched the interview with the old Lady running it. maybe she had felt bad for him.. or maybe nobody else was interested in trying to wash the big Arcanine named Sweety. he heard previous people trying to wash him has small problems with getting him to stand still, but over all Sweety shouldn't be that difficult.. but that's still to be determined.
"well then big guy.. let's get started wont we?" Kairo asked the Fire type while attaching the leash to his collar, which would help to keep him from laying down or running out of the shower room. "I'm guessing you would like some hot water, right?" he kept asking the pokemon questions, even thought it was barely able to answer him except for some uninterested growls, but luckily they didn't sound hostile towards Kairo.
checking the temperature and always keeping an eye on the Pokemon Kairo got ready to really got started at his first pokemon washing job.

Almost immediately upon the water being sprayed upon his fur, the Arcanine shook out his body for all it was worth spraying the water right back at Kairo. Well, this did seem like it was going to be harder than he'd hoped.

the new trainer just stood there for a second before a warm smile spread over his face as he adjusted the water temperature. "guess it wasn't warm enough already? or did you just want to get me wet so we could match?" he asked still smiling, seeming to not even care about being absolutely drenched in water now just like the Pokemon in front of him.
"just a bit more on the other side and we will be ready to get you soaped up, so all that dirt can go straight out of your fur and it will be shiny and smooth again" Kairo explained and walked to the other side of the Pokemon, giving this one a good spray with the shower-head as well and in the process getting even wetter from Sweety shaking his Body again. "only the head left to go and then there wont be any more water coming, i promise" he took great care while wetting the head and neck, trying to keep a safe distance away from the Arcanines maw while still getting the work done that he needed to do

The Arcanine whines a little but sits still for the most part as water comes down after. Good boy- though he licks Kairo the minute he gets the chance.... with that big slobbery tongue of his.

"oh hey now!" Kairo laughed and carefully pushed the big canine Pokemon away from him, before it could slobber over his face even more. while he didn't mind his own Pokemon doing stuff like that, strangers was a bit different.. he never knew where that tongue was just minutes before. He gave Sweety a soft scratch behind his ear, before stepping away and getting one of the shampoo bottles ready.
"now be a good boy and stand still while i'm doing this, ok?" he asked and applied a good amount of the Soap to the Pokemons back, before starting to massage it into the fur and make sure to really get it into the dirtiest parts of it. while Arcanine wasn't horribly dirty he did seem like he enjoys a good dirt bath from time to time.. considering how the white bubbles quickly turned towards a more grayish brown color while Kairo scrubbed the Pokemon down. "aren't you going to be a pretty boy once we are done here, yes you are!"

The Arcanine whined and immediately started itching as the soap was applied, and Kairo would find a few Joltik had strangely to clinging to his fur- Didn't these little guys normally go after electric mon? Where did he pick them up? Well there were just a few, at least, try and pick them off and maybe they'll be on their way...not without trying to shock you a bit for your efforts.

huh that's not something you see every day.. what would a joltik gain from clinging to a Arcanine? "don't worry big guy, we will get them off in just a second!" he assured Sweety while quickly getting a pair of thick rubber gloves, to prevent the joltiks from being able to shock him senseless. he knew they wouldn't be able to get anything through the rubber. he also peppered a cardboard box to store the joltiks in, until he would be able to set them free outside again.
careful not to hurt the small electric type he picked them of one by one and secured them in the box, which was located outside the actual shower space. he gave the Arcanine two check overs to see if he really got all of them, before removing the thick gloves again and exchanging them for the thinner Type. "there we go, all better now aren't we?" he asked smiling before going back to finish soaping the Pokemon off. "these small once gave you quiet a bit of trouble for a while didn't they? good thing we were able to get rid of them all"

The Arcanine is so happy to be free from the Joltik that he starts barking and jumping around becoming harder and harder to get control of by the moment. Knocking into stuff, he starts to create a mess!

oh no.. this was not good at all. first Kairo tried to still get a hold of the Arcanine, but it was becoming obvious that this would not be the best course of action for him as he was no where near as strong to succeed. lets try some bribery then!
quickly he pulled a little pouch of poke-snacks, which he always carried on his person, out of his pocket and showed it to Sweety. "look!" he said to get the Pokemons attention while slightly shaking to pouch to make the goodies inside rattle. the Arcanine seemed to calm down a bit, completely fixated on the bag in Kairos hand. "now sit!" and the Pokemon happily did so while still wagging his tail. he took out a few snacks and gave them to Sweety, before looking over the chaos the bigger Pokemon made. it wasnt.. too horrible, some shampoo bottles where knocked from shelves and over all there was a lot of soap bubbles everywhere and of course water. it would take a bit of extra time to clean it up after he was done with him.
a little sigh escaped Kairos lips and he put the pouch away again. crisis averted and back to work it goes. the pokemon was through fully soaped up already so the only thing left to do was rinse it all off again! he took up the shower-head again and carefully rinsed of all the soap out of the thick fur of Arcanine.

smiling widely and humming a little tune Kairo kept working until Arcanine was completely free of any Shampoo in his fur. "there we go, now you aren't just beautiful you are also clean! and you've done so good, we only need to get you dry and then you are ready to get all types of fancy~" Kairo exclaimed letting a proud grin show on his face.
he quickly got a big bath-towel and started to rub all that water out of the big guys fur so he would not only feel clean but also comfortable again.. it probably wasn't too great for a Fire type to be this wet for a long amount of time. after the towel it was time for some dry blowing! this was the easier part of the whole ordeal, since the air was hot and Sweety had a blast trying to bite at the air while it was comming out of the dryer, but still it went over fairly fast. "and all done! let's get you out and you are ready for a good time at the salon!" proud of his handy work Kairo took Arcanines leash and lead it out of the shower room and gave him to one of the other employees which would be in charge of clipping nails, trimming fur and putting some little extras on the Pokemon.
Kairo himself went back and cleaned up the mess Arcanine left in the shower before reporting back to the owner of the saloon for his payment.
