Cradling a pale pink and blue egg in her arms, Magnolia stood in the training field, surveying the snowy landscape. Winter was her favorite season; though it wasn't quite Winter officially on the calendar yet, the snow and ice and cold winds said otherwise. She thought it felt better here than it had even back in Kalos, the sharp, bitter cold; she'd not experienced much of it in Kalos, per se, as she'd spent much of her time indoors. Soon, she'd likely run low on money for rent and bills and need to work again, but she'd get more work easily, she knew. Absently, she stroked the egg, lost in thought, until she remembered why she'd come here in the first place.
Magnolia made her way down the snowy hill to a cold blue lake, where she released her Feebas, Amphitrite, into the water. She released Khione, the Snorunt, as well, and Skadi the Frosmoth, Mab the Snubbull, Persephone the Glameow, and Hecate the Toxel. All of her Pokemon stood or sat in the snow, excepting, of course, Amphitrite in the lake, and wondered what Magnolia wanted from them.
"We're here to train, darlings. This place is perfect; no other trainers around, I don't believe any wild Pokemon are out on this particular day here, and it's gorgeous outside." Mab and Persephone seemed unimpressed, but Hecate, Skadi, and Amphitrite seemed to enjoy the cold, and Khione was always happy to be out with her dear beautiful trainer! She hopped on over and rubbed on Magnolia's leg through her fluffy dress, glad to be able to interact. Magnolia smiled affectionately at the Snorunt, but nudged her away. "Focus, dear Khione, focus."
"Now: I think what I'll have you all do is practice your moves together. Does that sound good?" Persephone ignored her trainer to lick her paw and draw it over her ears, having no interest in doing any moves, fighting, or anything. What Persephone wanted was a soft cushion in front of a fire. It was too cold for being outside; not that she'd show any signs of being uncomfortable, but she was. Mab, meanwhile, seemed to perk up at the idea of practicing together with the others; it was cold, but attacking would warm everyone up and it could be fun, too! The other Pokemon seemed okay with the idea, if not super enthusiastic.
"Alright, first you can do the moves on your own, then maybe use them on one another for a while, or at least in unison, perhaps?" It seemed like Magnolia was thinking out loud. While she was distracted, Persephone slunk behind her trainer, tail lashing with mild annoyance and plotting. After she was fully behind Magnolia, Persephone crouched, wiggling her hindquarters to calibrate, then leapt up, clawing her way up the back of the fur coat to settle on Magnolia's shoulders.
"Persephone!" Magnolia's normally calm demeanor was changed in an instant; she near tossed the feline off into the snow to check on the back of the coat, fearful of having it torn. Persephone, frightened, started to slink away, but Magnolia snagged her scruff with her powers.
"You can't just do that, Persephone! If you want to be on my shoulders, I would prefer you ask! You could have damaged my coat.." Luckily, the coat was fine, and so was the Glameow, if a little shaken. She might think twice next time she dug her claws into someone's belongings, at least, but she still refused to participate in the activity. With a sigh, Magnolia removed her scarf and placed it on the ground for Persephone to lay on if she chose; at least it would be off of the snow. Gratefully, Persephone did move over onto the offered item and curled up on it, eventually.
