Arietta giggles at all the pokemon doing their thing, they were so cutttteee? Aumia moved to gently rub her head against Arietta's cheek, a soft squeak leaving her in some form of silent assurance. Elise's words were a gentle comfort, she understood that the girls were busy- it just kinda sucked that they all were so busy maybe when she needed them most- their presence alone as friends was comforting. "It's okay! We all get busy! And now we're all coming back together hopefully our presence as PNG grows!" She managed out, squeezing Elise's hand a little. "I just missed this..."
As the girl offered an ear Arietta went quiet for a moment... she really didn't wanna unload everything on Elise, she was such a bright girl? She didn't deserve to get wrapped up in all her drama, she could deal with it on her own, she was good at that! "All my issues now are tiny, nothing to worry about! As I said PR and stuff..." A tighter smile, "Soooo I probably don't need to vent!"
Elise smiled brightly and squeezed back. “I heard us over the radio the other day! The Heart Pink song!” she gushed. “It was in the daytime too! A lot of people heard us for sure!” She knew looking at view counts on the Chutube videos they had posted gave a good idea of just how many people were watching them, but this was a sign they were breaking into mainstream media, right??
Her features fell a little in uncertainty as the other girl assured her things were fine. No need to vent or anything like that. Elise was never one to pry, though, so she just nodded her head thereafter. “Ok! Just lemme know if you ever need to…” she said raising her free arm up and flexing as if she were much more muscular than she actually was.
Back on the music then. “I’ve been thinking of a new song,” she hummed a little after. “There’s this piece by Bach which I think we could incorporate like in an undertone or something…” she went on.
On the radio?! Ara brought a hand to cover her mouth, excitement shining in her eyes, that was amazing! "Ohmyarceus- really?!" she let out a laugh, "That's amazing? Aaaah- I wanna be able to tune in and hear us- if you ever do hear us again text me straight away!" it was something about the idea of it being a shared experience that made her giddy- that and she kinda wanted to hear what the radio people said about them.
Ara could see Elise's small face drop a mile away and attempted to brighter her own features to assure her that everything was fine- really really fine. "Of course! That's what friends are for- and the same to you!" She giggled then, and Aumia shifted to squeak. "If your boy gives you any trouble, lemme know!"
At the idea of a new song Arietta tilted her head, eyes wide- oh! That could be great! Though she had... no idea who Bach was... it was fine! "Have you got a demo or anything?: I'd love to hear it! What'll the time signature be?"
“Iknowright?” Elise squeaked back, her eyes bright and sparkling. “Yes yes yes! I’ll definitely text you!” She bounced a little, much to Shimmer’s chagrin. The Ribombee shifted a little on her shoulder and then sat in her lap next to Sparkle instead. A small giggle escaped from Elise as Ari spoke thereafter. “Eheheheh you’ll be the first to hear if he’s done something silly….” She beamed and then shook her head a bit softly before bringing a hand up to feel through her own hair.
Elise was already fishing out her phone as Arietta spoke, flipping through it in search of the tone. “So like, remember this is background to something else over it but!” she hit play and the melody started to come forth. [x] “But like the up and down portions?? Could totally be in a different key and with a bunch of words over it and it could sound really interesting!” Somehow, she always seemed to get inspiration from classics and then promptly turn them into her own thing. That was Elsie for you, though.
Arietta was excited to hear whatever tune Elise thought of, though she wasn't sure if she'd exactly understand what she was saying in regards to layer the music t still brought a grin to Ara's face at the girls excitement. A hand moved to gently pat at Aumia, who attempted to instead shimmy herself onto Ara's palm. A giggle left the girl who gently held the mouse pokemon and placed her on the bench, where she thrived on the attention.
"It's a bouncy tune?" Arietta said, after the tune ended. A hand pressed at her cheek, leaving Aumia's fur. "But... I can sorrrrrta visualise- or... audioalise- the sound!" Sorta, kinda. She probably wouldn't really be able to piece it together until she heard rough vocals and the entire backing- and she shouldn't even think of choreography until the time signature and core beat were figured out.
"...Have you got an idea for the type of lyrics we could add to it? What emotion are we gonna try portray??"
Elise beamed and swayed a little as Arietta spoke. “Yeah! It’s got some really nice up and down beat!” she went on. “Put it with a few more layers of music, and it could really be something!”
At the follow up question, though, she found her brows furrowing a little. She wasn’t as good at lyrics and word play as she was raw musical sounds, so it took her a moment longer to even find a word to describe it. “Like a slinky….” she mumbled. “Maybe someone rapping over it actually…” With how fast paced that beat was, anyways, it made the most sense. “Maybe we’ll have to ask one of the other girls for words or some poetry….”
As Elise began mumbling Arietta tried to think too, "Rapping would be good, maybe! Or... you could make it more electro-pop style? Uhm... whats that new music style..." She trailed off, "With the big drop before we get hit with some Bach! That way, if none of the girls want to rap we still have an option! Or we could just do fast-beated verses..." she decided to trail off then, and swung her legs a little as she dwelled on things.
Uhm... uh... "If we wanted to make it like.. an upbeat song but with sad lyrics we can always pluck phrases from my blog and make it about heartbreak! But i'd probably leave it all up to the girls who are better at songwriting..." She was really only decent at dancing, after all, and... singing- but not the main bits, of course!
Hmmm. Hm. Hmmmmm. Elise hummed and nodded as she considered what Arietta was saying. Electropop might have just the thing she was looking for, actually, with a synth on top maybe… She could hear it now! Or practically! The mention of heartbreak, though, had he blinking a couple of times back into reality. “Oh huh… maybe so…” she nodded a little.
Sparkle squeaked a little. Heartbreak? That sounded so sad! Shimmer rolled her eyes, used to these kinds of discussions at least when it came to music. Elise hummed the tune a little and nodded her chin a couple of times to the beat trying to get a feel for it— only for the ferry horn to have her squeaking and looking around wildly for a moment. “Wh- oh! Look! We’re almost to Plum already! Time really flies.”
Arietta kept quiet for a while, if only to swing her legs and get out her phone for a moment, gazing over to see if there were any notifications. As Elise spoke again the girl glanced over and grinned then, "Oh- yeah! The mini-concert is so close now, I can almost taste it!" The girl moved to grab her stuff, and Aumia, when given the chance, scampered back up the girls shoulder. "Like- I wonder how many people are gonna show up- dya reckon they'd be energized by our performance? Or like... just hyped by the beats- or... or..." She trailed off, giggling. Nooo, her idea was silly... but...
"I wonder if we have any mega-fans showing up! Y'know, the hardcore stans?" She mimicked people waving glowsticks then giggled again, "Aaaah- the closer we get the more excited I am!" She pulled on the pink fur of her jacket, ensuring it was on right, "Whatever the case, if you have any ideas don't forget to record them on your audio notes so we can work something up with them!"
They hadn't had the chance to flick through the magazines she'd brought, but that was okay! Plum-city, here they come! Arietta stretched a little before turning to Elise, "They're probably wanting us to disembark soon, you ready?"
Shifting around, Elise returned Sparkle and then Shimmer before putting their Pokeballs back in her purse. Standing up and stretching, she took in a slow deep breath. “It’s going to be great,” she spoke as much to herself as she did to Arietta then. “Both!” she nodded sagely at the question thereafter only to giggle right after. Mega fans? Were they that popular yet? “That would be so cool!”
Oh! But Ara was right. She should totally write down what she had already. Flipping out her phone again, she was quick to make a few notes and find a Chuugle link or two. She stood there for a hot minute typing out her notes before looking back up to Arietta again. “Oh oops! Yeah!” she grinned shouldering her bag and then following Ari off the boat. Plum City here they came!
