As the two pokemon were cheering, they had gotten the attention of a Mienfoo. The pokemon looked at them angrily, and they looked back at it angrily too. It seemed as though the three of them were rivals of sorts. Tilting her head in confusion, Freya saw as Marill started running towards the Mienfoo head first. Again, a really unusual way of doing things, especially when she wasn't even using a move on the pokemon. As it dodged it, Panpour tried to attack it with fury swipes. However, it was still weak from its battle with Steenee. So, it whiffed the Mienfoo.
Before things got any worse for the weakened pokemon, Freya sent the Panpour back. Her focus was now on Marill. She would see how well the pokemon faired in battle. Since Freya didn't actually know the pokemon's move set, she would pretty much just have to guess what it did. Without a moment's notice, Freya commanded Marill to use Bubble beam on the Mienfoo. Just like that, it did. The Mienfoo was clearly surprised that the pokemon had actually used an attacking move. Though, it dodged it. It then slammed down onto Marill with pound.
However, Freya was two steps ahead of the pokemon, as she shouted out for the Marill to use Defense Curl. As it did, Freya brought her hand to her body, and verbally shouted out, "Yes! Now that the Mienfoo is caught of guard, use bubble beam!" Bubbles then shot out of the Marill's mouth and right onto the Mienfoo, knocking it back into the ground. The bully had now fainted from the attack, and Marill had cheered. It was surprised by what it could do when it actually did the moves it could. Freya was laughing at its surprise, as she took the Marill up into her arms and walked onwards down the path. She then looked at Steenee and said to her, "Amazing battle, wouldn't you agree." The Steenee then nodded back in agreeance, with her face beaming.

Freya had been walking down the path after facing everything that had happened earlier. Their journey was almost over, which meant that they'd finally be finished with the taxing journey. Though, that didn't mean there weren't anymore perils to come. That was especially apparent after Freya had come across a new trainer. A man looking extremely sleek for being in the wild. It was odd how he seemed so confident in his skills. Especially so much so, to challenge Freya in a pokemon battle. Freya wasn't sure if he was just joking, or if he was actually serious. When she found out that it was the latter, she grinded her teeth a tiny bit. Steenee was really weak at the moment, which meant that she couldn't use her. Not if she wanted to ensure her safety. So, that means she would have to use a pokemon she was dreading to use.
Her Comfey was an amazing pokemon, and she found much joy in finding it in the adoption center. However, Freya wasn't able to actually control her tantrums as of yet. With everything that had been going on, she found it difficult to train the pokemon to think otherwise. So, she closed her eyes and hoped that she would get lucky. While sending out both her Gorebyss and Comfey, she crossed her fingers, hoping that if the Comfey did have a tantrum, the Gorebyss could simmer it down a bit.
With the Comfey finally appearing on the battlefield, it had begun to cry a tiny bit, realizing that it wasn't out there to be around someone's neck. It's usually happiness that it felt when around a person's neck was gone, and replaced with the tears of the Comfey. So, as Gorebyss saw this, she went over to the pokemon and comforted it, trying to make it known that it was there to do something important for the person that took care of it when no one else did. It tried to cheer itself up a bit at those kind words, and after that, its bright demeanor came back to it.
Watching this display in front of him, the Ace Trainer looked at Freya and said to him, "Wow, you're so unskilled that you can't even take care of your own pokemon. Seems like they do all the work for you. That's not what a trainer is about. You have to take over and deal with the pokemon yourself. If I was the trainer of that Comfey, it'd stop crying within the day." With that, Freya angrily looked at him, and then back at the Comfey to see it angrily looking at him. It seemed to be determined enough to fight, but if it got into its head during the battle, then Freya wouldn't know what she would do. Either way though, it was this or letting the trainer get away with his harsh words.
So, she just let the Comfey do its thing. She wanted to make this guy more self conscious about his rude ways. The world was too beautiful to let it be wasted on pent up anger. She was going to show him this. Her pokemon looked back at Freya, ready to start the battle. This was it, the moment before they'd start their first battle with Comfey.

Uh oh...it seemed like the determination had gotten into Comfey's head, causing her to go straight towards Freya's neck. However, it was soon snapped out of it as the competitor's Monferno dashed towards it with Fury Swipes. This was soon stopped by Gorebyss's quick thinking. As she formed a ball of water on her left fin, she immediately threw it out towards the pokemon, having it collide on impact. Seeing the Monferno fly right past the Comfey gave it a bit of a reality check, setting it back into battle mode.
Now that Freya had both of her pokemon on track, she told her Comfey to take Monferno and use vine whip on him. Then, when she did, she wanted the pokemon to toss the Monferno towards the trainer's Gothita. Watching all of this happen, the trainer had become a bit flustered. He didn't actually expect Freya to fight back in the way she did. After all, her pokemon seemed weak. There was no possible way that they could be winning. However, having the Monferno tossed at the Gothita threw him even farther than he already was.
Before he was able to even think, Gorebyss sent out a water pulse to the two clumped up pokemon, creating an explosion of water. As it rained down upon the route, the trainer looked at Freya in awe. He couldn't believe the decimation that had just happened. He got too confident, and he screwed everything up.After that, Freya walked away from him, saying, "Don't get too cocky. That's not right when it comes to dealing with pokemon. You're job as a trainer isn't supposed to be being better than your pokemon. It's supposed to be about bringing out their inner talents. Remember that before you do something as reckless as you did. I hope to see that you have gotten better one day."
