Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
It had been a while before Freya had gone back to this route. The last time she had came, something unimaginable happened. She remembered all the fear it brought her. Though, she was kind of embarassed by herself now that she saw that she actually wasn't dead. After all, how insane would it be if something that powerful would be near a town where people started their lives of trainees. She kind of laughed at that in her head as she thought about everything. She was scared to be back, but she knew that she had to be. There was so much more left of Arciel that she needed to explore. She needed to find the beauty in every place that she could. It was one of her goals after all.
So, with Bounsweet in her hands, she looked down at the pokemon who was clearly shaking, and said to her, "Hey. I know you're scared to be back. I am too. I know that its going to be scary for a lot longer, but we need to get through this. You and me are together, and we're going to stay together. I promised you that we would get all the beauty we can out of this world, and that can't happen if we aren't willing to try and look for it. Okay?" With that, the pokemon smiled its brightest smile as it cheered. Freya knew that this would be hard on them, but she wasn't lying when she talked to Bounsweet. There were tons of pokemon that were ready to meet them, and she was ready for them.
With Bounsweet in her arms, Freya looked as the pokemon sniffed around for something. Wondering what it was, Freya took a sniff herself. With a bit of confusion on her face, Freya looked down to see that there was a Sylveon at her feet. It smelled like it had perfume on it, and as Freya took a tiny step back, she saw as the took a step back too. It seemed a tiny bit alarmed, as though something had just happened to it. She looked around to see if there were any scratch marks or something on it, but there wasn't anything. Before she could question the pokemon though, it had attacked both Bounsweet and Freya with a bite.
As it leaped towards them, Bounsweet got in front of Freya and used rapid spin on the beautiful pokemon. However, it seemed like the pokemon's move was stronger than Bounsweet's, because it clamped down on the poor little fruit pokemon, stopping her spinning. In total shock of what was happening, Freya shouted out for the Bounsweet to use rapid spin again. With this, the pokemon was knocked back, as it clasped its jaw in pain. It whimpered a tiny bit at the move, but it strengthened back up again, ready to let off another attack. However, Freya wouldn't let it. "Bounsweet, use razor leaf on the Sylveon."
It was as though the pokemon knew what was going on, as it used its ribbons to smack the leaves out of the air. As it did, something fell from it. It looked like a piece of metal...or maybe it was a tag. Before the Sylveon was about to unleash its next move, Freya ran out into the middle of them and said, "Wait a minute!"
Both of the pokemon looked up at Freya in confusion, wondering why someone would ever stop a battle that was as vicious as this one. It wasn't until Freya had picked up the tag that fell off of the pokemon's ribbon, before she realized what had happened. As she looked down at it, she saw that the pokemon's name was Silvia. This pokemon was clearly owned by someone. The fact that it wasn't with its trainer was a bit worrisome. After all, for a pokemon who was as pampered up as Sylveon, the trainer had to have had a lot of care for the pokemon.
So, as Freya knelt down towards the wary pokemon, she said to it, "Hey, so your name is Sylvia, right?" With that, the pokemon nodded, and Freya continued, "Where's your trainer. I doubt she would've left you all alone like this." The pokemon then whimpered sadly and shrugged at the response. Trying to understand the situation a bit more, Freya had asked it, "Did you think that I had done something to her? Is that why you attacked me and my Bounsweet?" With the pokemon now crying, Freya held it close to her, and said, "Hey, don't worry about it. I know you're scared. Trust me though. We will find your trainer. I promise you that much. I will do everything in my power to get you to her. I just need you to rest for now so that you have enough strength to hug your trainer the best that you can. Do you got that?" Looking down at the pokemon, she happily agreed. Thankful that they had the situation figured out, she got the pokemon back up to her feet, and starting walking back on the path. She knew that she would probably find some more things before she got to the trainer, but she would get through them the best she could.

After the whole ordeal had went down, Freya had begun walking down the path with Silvia besides her. The pokemon was truly a kind pokemon. It had even let Bounsweet sit on its back while the two of them talked together. She smiled at the sight, happy that something so beautiful could form from what started out as a misunderstanding. This was what Freya wanted from her pokemon, and the world. She wanted to show people that no matter what happens, the world can still be beautiful in its own way. With every single piece of drama that has happened within Arciel, her message was something that was important, and she knew it.
So, as she looked at a Marill playing around in the forest, she smiled. Everything around her was gleaming with happiness and joy, and she couldn't be happier. She sort of wanted to squeal, but held it down a tiny bit. After all, she didn't want to scare Silvia or Bounsweet, and besides, there were tons of other pokemon on this route that didn't want to be disturbed. She would take her own advice to Bounsweet, and calm herself down. Even if things were going great, it didn't mean she had to ruin the moment for all the other living things around her. Instead, she just walked down, enjoying everything for herself.

Looking around the area, Freya saw 2 great balls on the ground. They seemed to be pretty beat up. With Silvia sniffing them, Freya realized that the balls must've been from its trainer. After all, finding pokeballs around here meant one of two things, they were dropped, or the person they belonged to had something happen to them. Freya slipped the balls into her bag, knowing that it was common courtesy to take them, no matter who's they were. Then, she looked to see if there were any foot prints or signs of Silvia's trainer being somewhere.
That was when she saw what she was looking for. To her right was a path of crushed flowers. The meadow she was on, had a steep decline that led to a pond. Of course, that was where most of the pokemon would be. It was their watering hole of sorts for the meadow. There were pokemon in it splashing around, but maybe the trainer had fallen in as well. So, as she told all of this to the pokemon, they followed her down the hill and towards the pond. She didn't know if there were any territorial pokemon there, but she would fight her way towards the trainer if she had to. Silvia needed a trainer, and that trainer was somewhere.
Tag: This Dedenne has been bullied mercilessly by her former boss Pokemon and has a very submissive complex as a result. She is quickly reduced to tears when one raises their voice, and when battling, roll a die to see if she can handle the stress or not. If lower than a 50, she will burst into tears instead of fight. To overcome the tag, you must perform 1 training thread with her to regain her confidence.
After going towards the pond, Freya looked forward and saw as 3 pokemon were crouched over a trainer. She seemed to be knocked unconscious. Though, there didn't seem to be any blood, which was a very good sign. She must've just been knocked out when she fell towards the bottom of the hill. Watching the pokemon snickering over the trainer, Freya looked over to Silvia and watched her face go from calm to angry. The pokemon seemed to be thieves, because they were searching through the pockets of the trainer, and throwing out any items they didn't care about. That must've been where the pokeballs had come from. As Freya gritted her teeth, she looked over to Bounsweet and Silvia, and said to them, "You guys ready to fight off these pokemon?" With that, they cheered.
Whether it was because Bounsweet was ready for vengeance, or if it was because it was ready for another fun battle, it seemed like it was ready for anything. Maybe it was for both reasons, because Bounsweet still had the same smile it always had. Except now, it also had a look of sadness towards its friend. It wanted to help out the one person her friend cared about the most. If that meant fighting against strong pokemon, then Bounsweet would do it without no end. Knowing this, Freya looked at Bounsweet and gave her a nod, telling her that she could do what she absolutely needed to. In this moment, Freya wouldn't be the pokemon's trainer, she would be its guide to helping a friend in need.
Though, she knew for a fact that the pokemon was a strong one. So, she looked down at her pokeball and sent out Gorebyss. The pokemon was weak to electric type moves, she knew that, but Gorebyss was strong. She believed that the pokemon would be able to fight through it. If it meant that some potions would be used by the end of this battle, then that was fine. Freya's main priority right now was helping out Silvia's trainer.
With three pokemon out against 3 other pokemon, the battle was beginning to look even. Each one had their own cards in the table. Sylveon wanted to protect her trainer, who was knocked out on the ground. Bounsweet wanted to help its friend in protecting her trainer. Gorebyss wanted to keep Bounsweet safe, since she was her first friend in a long time. Each one was ready to duke it out with the boss pokemon, and within a few minutes of glaring at each other, that's what happened.
Silvia had started off with a disarming voice, creating beams of pink light to form. As the beams went outwards, the 3 dedennes were knocked back. Though, they seemed to shake it off soon enough, as all 3 of the dedenne's used parabolic charge. With the three of them casting off lightning into the air, a huge sphere formed as three bolts of lightning shot towards Freya's pokemon. Knowing that this would hurt them dramatically, Freya yelled out towards her pokemon to dodge the move. With that, they did. Then, before the three dedenne's could recharge themselves, Freya yelled out for the pokemon to charge at the pokemon. Sylveon went in with a bite, Bounsweet with rapid spin, and Gorebyss with draining kiss.
As the pokemon collided with the electric types, they damaged the pokemon, knocking them back even more. However, they're durability was a lot more than Freya had expected, because they were all ready to strike back. With the boss pokemon using helping hand on its minions, the two of them used parabolic charge on the pokemon. This time though, they weren't able to dodge it. Gorebyss and Sylveon stepped back in fear of the attacks, but Bounsweet stood perilously in front of them, ready to take the hits.
Bounsweet was willing to do anything and everything to protect its friends. That meant standing in front of the line of fire for them. Bounsweet closed her eyes, ready to take everything the other pokemon had. Her face was confident and fearless for what was about to happen. She wasn't sure if the attacks would be too strong for the pokemon, but that didn't matter. What mattered was having her friends fight till the end. She wanted Silvia to take vengeance on the dedenne's. If that meant fainting from the damage, then Bounsweet would do it happily.
As Freya looked at her pokemon in awe, she saw as it started glowing. A faint white light had casted over it, as though it was ascending. Freya knew exactly what this meant...she was evolving. Bounsweet had grown so much since the day Freya had met her. The loneliness of the pokemon had evolved into something else...selflesness. She had grown into a pokemon that cared more about her friends than her own well being. That was why she was evolving now. She was blooming into something even more beautiful than before. With the light gone, Bounsweet...I mean Steenee had taken the hit of the beam.
With Steenee now standing where Bounsweet was, she looked down at herself in awe. She smiled her brightest smile, realizing what had happened, and cheered at the sight. It seemed like the pain she had felt from the Parabolic Shocks had gone away with her old form. Of course, she was still damaged, but she was just as energetic as ever. Though, that could just be the pokemon's nature. After all, it had always been really excited about everything that had happened to it. Now that it was in this new form, it was ready to pummel those dedenne's.
So were the pokemon behind her. They were more pumped then ever after seeing what had happened. This meant that they had their second wind. The dedenne's were now looking scared, but the boss immediately snapped them back in shape. As they started to charge another parabolic shock, Gorebyss unleashed a whirlpool upon them, causing them to lose the charge on their move. Them swirling around meant one thing, they were able to be hit easily. Both Silvia and Steenee immediately jumped into action. Steenee used the new move that it had inherited from its evolution, Energy ball. Since Silvia had unleashed a disarming voice right after it, the energy ball got quite a boost from it. With the Energy ball colliding with both the whirlpool and dedenne's, it exploded into a bunch of tiny water particles. The minions were now on the ground, and completely out of it. The boss, however, was still standing. He was weak, but he still wanted to go at it.
All of a sudden though, it got down on its knees, begging them to give mercy on it. Freya knew this was all a trick though, as the slyness of the pokemon came through its eyes. With a loud shout, Freya said to her pokemon, "Don't trust him! He's trying to trick you. Quick, attack him." With that, each of the pokemon unleashed an onslaught of attacks onto him, knocking him out and leaving Silvia's trainer to rest in peace.
This left Freya to start a fire near the trainer, hoping that the warmth of it would help her wake up. So, while Freya sent her pokemon out to get some food, she stayed behind. She tried to care for the trainer the best she could, but she wasn't a nurse anything. The best she could hope for really, is that the trainer would wake up and things would be fine. Though, she wasn't sure on how well that plan was. So, she just sat there by the fire, staring at Silvia's trainer.

After only a few hours, the blond girl had finally come back to reality. She was now conscious, and staring right at Freya. She crawled backwards in confusion. I mean, it is pretty confusing to wake up to a random person looking over you. Especially when it was someone that was looking way too closely at you. So, as she spoke, she said with an alarmed tone, "Who are you? Why am I here?" With that, Freya responded in a calming tone. She knew that the girl was probably insanely confused. "You fell while on the path to Pine Town. I found your Sylveon wandering the road, and she led me to you. Of course, she was scared and attacked us first, but I was lucky that I was able to see this coming off of her ribbon." With that, Freya opened up her hand to reveal Silvia's tag.
Realizing that everything the girl said was true, Megan looked at her and thanked her. When Freya tried to give her back the great balls she left behind, she refused. After everything Freya had done for her, it was the least she could do to reward her. When Silvia and Freya's pokemon came back, they came bearing gifts. Silvia was ecstatic to see her trainer well and happy again, and everyone else was happy that they were able to reunite the trainer and pokemon together. To celebrate, they commenced the feast. Although Freya wasn't the best at cooking, it seemed Megan was a natural. The food was amazing, and the conversations they had were great as well. Before you knew it, their stomachs were full, and they were resting the night, and waiting till morning came around again before parting ways. The encounter was great, but Freya had places to be, as well as Megan. So, with that, Freya continued onwards towards the path.
The day before had been a rough one for Freya and her pokemon. Although it ended up in Freya's Steenee evolving, it still was tiring for her. So, as she was walking down the lengthy route, she felt herself nod off after every few minutes or so. However, her Steenee kept her up. Even with this new form, she was still as persistent as ever. She talked non stop, and since she had a more humanoid form, she found it more natural to do so. Freya was a bit sad that Steenee couldn't fit in her arms anymore, but the pokemon had obviously matured. Her skills in this new form would be tested as a panpour came upon them.
The pokemon was extremely tiny for the species, which made Freya ponder on if she would catch it. She was considering it, but was waiting to see how it would fair in battle. After all, she needed more combat pokemon. Gorebyss was an extremely versatile pokemon, but she can't do both rounds. So, it might be advantageous to have another water type on the team that can substitute for Gorebyss if anything happened. With this process in mind, she looked down at Steenee, and said to her, "How about a fight Steenee? I know that you might be tired from yesterday's, but-" Without even a little hesitation, the pokemon smiled confidently and got into a fighting stance.
Panpour looked at the pokemon questioningly, but then realized what was happening. The pokemon seemed pretty dorky in nature, as it tried to create the form a fighting type pokemon would take. It would then rush towards Steenee, and unleash fury swipes onto it. However, knowing her routine, Steenee quickly spun around, deflecting the claws of the Panpour, and damaging it in the process. Even though the pokemon was knocked back, it unleashed water gun onto the Steenee. Though, it was countered by Steenee's rapid spin. This was a tactic she learned very well, and it was perfect for this type of situation. Without further ado, Steenee unleashed an energy ball at the pokemon. As it was knocked into a tree, Freya threw a pokeball at it.

Walking into the dust that had popped up after the battle, Freya looked down to see that she had successfully caught the panpour. She smiled at the site, and at Steenee for her job well done. Freya was a bit sad that she had to test the skills of Steenee on that certain pokemon, but Freya would do her best to clear things up once she got the chance to. She had never really caught a pokemon in this manner before, and she felt a bit bad about it. Especially when a pokemon ran up to Freya and tried to attack her with its fists.
However, it didn't seem like the pokemon was actually using an attack on her. Instead, it was just trying to rush at her with no avail. After kneeling down, Freya held the Marill in her arms, and said to her, "Hey, I didn't want to hurt your friend, I promise you that. I just loved your friend's personality and thought that he'd be a great addition to my team. He is quirky, and I love that about him. I'm a coordinator and a botanist, which means I look for beauty in everything and absolutely everything. That's why I saw it in him. If you'd like, you can join us. You can even help me explain to him why I did what I did. I really just want to show the world how amazing pokemon can truly be." With that, Freya took out a pokeball and tapped the water type pokemon on its forehead.
As Freya waited for the capture to complete, she crossed her fingers in the hopes that it would work. The panpour would need a friend in these tough times, and Freya wanted to make sure that it would have one. So, with this in mind, she sent out the Marill and Panpour. She looked over to Marill, and she looked back at Freya knowingly. Within only a few seconds, the pokemon made way in conversation. It had taken a while for the pokemon to do the convincing, but they seemed to be good enough friends for the Marill to convince the Panpour that Freya was a good person.
After the conversation, the Panpour had become pumped. It's fighting style from before showed Freya how much it wanted to get stronger. Like all her other pokemon, the Panpour wanted to improve itself. Right now, it looked like the pokemon would be suited for a tough contest, but Freya was positive that she'd be able to fuse Panpour's toughness with Freya's ideals of beauty to form something amazing. So, she called the pokemon back into their pokeballs, pondering on ways to use their skills to make her message known to the world.
