[Yuki Hayakawa]

The team decided to stop for a small break. The next town over was within their reach, but they were all still tired. A small amount of time to rest shouldn’t hurt their progress. So Yuki had them stop a little off the path and he took out some camping gear. They weren’t gonna camp for the night. He wanted to cook something. Trainers are often in the wild for days on end and surviving with all they had on them. If he wanted to make it, he will need to be able to cook. 

His first dish was simple curry. Both of his pokemon were taste testing for him. The end result? Both of them reacting as if they were poisoned with the deadliest toxins known to mankind. It wasn’t that bad. Was it?

Seeing his pokemon’s reactions to his cooking was actually hurtful. He wasn’t very good, but that didn’t mean it was that bad, right? His fears were confirmed after tasting it for himself. The curry had a weird blend of crunchy and softness to it and tasted like it was drenched in sweat. It costed all the water they had left to wash their mouths of it. Maybe the pokemon center will have better food?

All three fell to the ground and looked up at the sky. The sound of hoofs caused them to tear their eyes from it and watched as a bull pokemon came into view. It ate away at the terrible curry without any bad reaction to it. Yuki threw a pokeball at it out of appreciation.

This pokemon was where Yuki’s lucky streak came to a abrupt end. Instead of the successful capture, like he was expecting, the ball ripped open to allow the giant pokemon free. The Bouffalant turned it’s head around to stair at Yuki. The young trainer froze in his place, fearfully. Was it gonna attack them? Get revenge for trying to capture it while it was trying to eat? This didn’t happen. Instead, the bull pokemon kept eating the terrible curry like it was no one’s business. Now Yuki really wanted it to come with him. So he tossed the same pokeball at it.

His pokeball failed to capture the bull pokemon, once again. This frustrated Yuki to no end and going to try capturing it again. Unfortunately, the bull wouldn't allow for this to happen. It finished up the rest of the terrible curry and jogged it's way back into the forest. The young trainer panicked and dived for the discard pokeball. It was gone as soon as he readied it for another throw. The disappointment of the encounter caused Yuki to fall onto his back and let out a deep sigh. Maybe it should have been expected. He was able to get the last few pokemon, without problem. Trouble was bound to happen, eventually.
