The last room of the Halloween Maze would have been an awesome experience for Sid had they not been so nerve shot by the end of it. Instead, what they would remember of it was looking anxiously from Pokemon to Pokemon and expressing their concerns before being gifted some rewards in hand. Now they were left standing at the front of the maze just a little dazed and anxious, the candies, pen, and Pokeballs now clutched in their hand.

Swellow. The thought was enough to pull them from their daze. Red eyes immediately snapped into focus and searched around for him. He was alright, wasn’t he? He had to be “Sir S-swellow???” They nearly dropped the items in their hands before awkwardly putting them in their pockets instead. “Are you here?” Are you ok??

A moment passed as Michael heard the call, had to process that was definitely about him, and then figure out how to respond. He'd waited near the entrance just to see how his knight had held out, but it had taken a bit longer than he'd anticipated. He hesitated when he thought about calling back and then just answered the question, "Yeah, I'm here!"

Coming around the corner at a bit of a jog, he lifted a hand to wave. "That was quite the fall," he admitted with a laugh before questioning, "How'd you do?"

You’re ok— Or so his voice said. Sid wouldn’t say that till they saw him. Instead, they headed the direction they’d heard him and upon seeing him immediately closed the distance and hugged him all together too readily. In Kanto, they would have been scolded for it. Sir Swellow was still close to a stranger in many regards, but Sid didn’t have time to process that formally or informally. Right then, the relief was all too much.

“Oh thank Ho-oh you’re alright,” Sid sputtered out before leaning back and fidgeting slightly only after the thought. Their arms dropped and then raised pulling the helmet off again to look him over more carefully now. “I— I’m so sorry I didn’t catch you I just…I….” Sid realized then that they were grasping at straws for as many thoughts as they had all coming at once. “I know it was part of the… Maze and … you were likely unharmed but….” A weird breath drew into them and a shaky breath escaped from them. “I’m…. glad you’re alright…” That they could see he was alright.
