[attr="class","cinziatext"] Cinzia put two of her three eggs into their incubators. She had decided to take the first egg that she received with her to the social event that was going on. Of course, she doesn't talk to people all the often or that well, but she did need to leave her place a little more often, so this seemed like the best bet. So, here she was, dressed as a Gardevoir, holding a tiny little egg in her hands. Her face was covered by a white and green mask, while she wore a long and flowing white dress with green accents on it. Taking a deep breath, she knew that it was time for her to finally leave, so that is just what she did. Leaving her place and heading to the Manor where the event was being held, she seemed to be fine.[break][break]Of course, her mind did try to connect with all of the others around her, but she purposely blocked all of that out. She didn't want to touch another person's mind today. Soon, the manor was within sight and she walked into the ballroom. Why not just start here? Later on she can try out the maze. Holding her egg tightly, it being the only source of pokemon interaction that that she was going to have right now, she walked over to an empty table and sat down. She didn't know if she wanted to dance, nor if she wanted to truly be social, but still, here she was, attempting everything that this region has to offer her.
Gabe’s legs were burning from all the dancing he had been doing already, and he was aware he probably needed to take a break at some point. Still, he put it off for about as long as possible before finally stepping off the dance floor and off towards the refreshment table. In the back of his mind, he was contemplating if now would be a good time to switch costumes or not.
His Litwick-inspired costume was somewhat tattered now from all the motion. The long purple sleeves had been rolled up. The black gloves had been shed for black fingerless loves. His black jeans remained the same as did his spray painted purple and blue shoes, but they seemed a little more stretched than they had been before. The high ponytail that held his hair was now falling down, and the flame-like charm in it had situated more at the back of his neck now than at the very top. At least his half-mask was still in place— the yellow circles of the Chanedlure eyes still round and vibrant as ever. Still, put together it was still nice looking, right? Right.
Coming over to the drink table, he downed some punch before slowly looking around. Seeing a singular individual at a table, he slowly walked over and grabbed the back of a chair next to her. “Mind if I rest here?” he hummed.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] She was quite content with just sitting and holding her egg. All the while, people were dancing and conversing, while she was just sitting and wondering what might come from the egg that was in her hands. her thoughts were soon stopped though when someone walked over. They looked to be in a Litwick costume? At least, possibly before all of the dancing that is what they were supposed to be. But then, it dawned on her and he was asking her a question. That meant that she had to answer. So, thinking to his Litwick inspired costume, that is what she imagined him as being, only, you know, not so disheveled.[break][break]"Sure." Oh dear Cin, always sweet and to the point. But with how clipped the single word would sound, it would sound as if she was being rude and snippy. That was far from the mark, but she just sucked at portraying words properly. This was why she preferred to use her telepathy, and mainly with pokemon. But being at Arciel, she didn't have her own pokemon, hell, she didn't even have on back home either. So there was just the off chance that a random pokemon would let her talk to them, and well, that was very very rare.[break][break]"Fun?" There was a tiny movement of her head, as if pointing to the dance floor where everyone was. She was trying to ask if the dancing was fun, but she was only a woman of one to two words at first. It was going to be a bit until she spoke more. have right now, she walked over to an empty table and sat down. She didn't know if she wanted to dance, nor if she wanted to truly be social, but still, here she was, attempting everything that this region has to offer her.
A small smile came to Gabe’s features at the simple easy answer. What might have registered as a quip at other times was accepted as truth right then. “Ah thanks,” was the reply. Sliding the chair out and sliding into it, Gabe sighed at feeling the weight off his legs and feet.
The single word question drew his attention, though, and Gabe’s eyes flicked sideways to meet the Gardevoir’s. Hm? Oh. “Ah yes, it is very fun,” he answered back with a smile. “There are quite a few wonderful dancers out on the floor.” His eyes flickered back towards hers right after— only then to glance down on seeing what she was carrying. “Is your dance partner the egg tonight?” he teased softly.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] A small and curt nod came from her when the Litwick thanked her. The one way she was ever able to talk to people, was to imagine them as pokemon. But now, here she was, in a manor where everyone was dressed up as a pokemon. It just made things easier on her really. "Welcome." Was there ever going to be a way to get her to talk much more? She didn't know really. She just wanted to be able to sit, relax, and observe. But then, she could still do all three while having someone sit by her, that wasn't going to stop her really.[break][break]Though it did seem that her single worded question might have possibly confused the Litwick a bit. That was bound to happen really. Making good questions and conversations come from just a single word wasn't the easiest thing to do. Which was why she liked having her telepathy, but she didn't like to intrude into another's mind without permission after all. That wouldn't be very kind. She looked at her egg though and smiled a little before nodding. "Yeah." Her egg seemed to be the best dance partner for her.[break][break]She felt close to an actual pokemon, and it got the love and affection that it needed to be able to hatch. It really was a win win for the both of them. She could tell that the Litwick was teasing, but in her eyes, it wasn't much of a tease. "Sorry." She paused for a moment to try and think of a way to explain that she was horrible at this, without going into a freak out moment. "Bad talker." She kind of hoped that this came off as she was a bad talker and not him, but that would have to be seen.
As his tease was turned into something more genuine, Gabe blinked a couple of times before slowly smiling. Well, that was as cute as all of hell got out. “I see,” he answered, setting one elbow on the table and resting his cheek on his fist. “Do you know what it’s going to hatch into?” He’d seen eggs here and there, but he hadn’t ever really raised one himself. The responsibility of being a parent sounded equal parts jarring and terrifying.
The apology had Gabe’s lips pressing into a fine line for only a moment before quirking up again, and a small half-laugh escaped from him. “No worries, I could probably talk enough for the both of us honestly….” he paused and then snorted at himself. Perhaps it was just a testament to his good mood, but he didn’t mind throwing some shade on himself right then. “I think I’m going to get some punch, do you want me to bring you back something?”
[attr="class","cinziatext"] She looked at him confused. Why did his 'I see' sound so..odd? Perhaps it was just because Cin still wasn't used to the whole, social interaction thing. It was hard to get used to that when you would rather just talk to pokemon. She shook her head soon enough though, "Mystery Egg." She looked down at the shell, unable to really tell what it was going to hatch into. It was going to be something good though, she could just feel that. She looked back at Gabe and tried to think of a way to tell him that she did this for a living, or at least, she was going to.[break][break]"I'm a breeder." Three words, wow, that was a new record since she was a child. But, in her mind there was no other way to really say that she was a Breeder without sounding dumb, so she had to take the chance. His smile and laugh seemed to surprise her though when he talked about him talking enough for them both. She didn't think that possible, but then, anything could be possible now right? "S-sure." She was surprised then by the offer of some punch and even moved the egg in her hands out of pure shock and nervousness.
A curious smile pulled across Gabe’s features as the Gardevoir mentioned it was a mystery egg. “Really?” he mused thoughtfully. “Those are kind of interesting… did you receive it from someone then?”Oh? She was a breeder then? Perhaps maybe even starting her first hatchery or something of the like? His gaze fixed on the egg again as if he might see what was inside any clearer than its owner did. Unfortunately for him, Gabe didn’t recognize the pattern either— granted it was hard to discern a lot of things in this lighting, so he was half tempted to blame it on that.
At the assurance that she wanted some punch, Gabe gave a nod and got up. He seemed… a little stiff in moving still but walked just fine after that. It took him only a moment to walk over to the table and fish up the ice cups before pouring some in each and coming back. Setting one down in front of her, he slowly lowered himself into the chair again. Oof. Raising the cup to his lips, he took a sip. “It’s got a little kick to it, doesn’t it?” he mused after the fact. Citric acid always did sort of have that extra uhmph.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] The Litwick seemed to be genuinely curious, though she didn't know if that was going to be a problem or not. But either way, she held the egg kind of close, but not so that he wasn't about to see it. Perhaps he could tell what kind of pokemon was going to come out of it. But that would be a stretch in this lighting wouldn't it. "Birch Lab." That was where she had gotten all three of her eggs, but the stipulation for the event tonight was just one pokemon, so she brought this egg and left the others home. She smiled softly at the thought that the egg should hatch soon, it had been moving around a lot more lately, so there was that good news for her.[break][break]She watched at the Litwick got up for some punch though, and she could have sworn that he looked like he was walking a bit stiff. That wasn't a good thing. Possibly he danced for too long without a break or anything. That would surely do it, or so she would think. Soon enough though, he was back and handed her a cup. She took the cup and smiled lightly. "Thank you." She would have gone to get one in a few minutes if he hadn't shown up so perhaps it was a good chance that he had.[break][break]She nodded lightly when she tasted the small kick that the drink had. It was a kick, but it was refreshing still. "It does." She looked from the cup then to him again, and finally decided to ask the question. "Sore?"
Ah… So it was a lab surprise Pokemon. That was… cute enough. A small nod was given from Gabe. Then it really was truly unknowable just what would hatch from it. Ah well, it was fun guessing even for a little bit.
The drink was just what he needed, though. Cool, refreshing, and just a little bitter. He almost kind of wanted alcohol, but then there would be no way he could dance (or even get home really, but that was a thought for later). The single word question cut into his thoughts, and he glanced sideways again at the Gardevoir. “A bit…” he answered. “It’s easy to go overboard when there are so many around willing to dance.” He flashed a cheesy grin at that. “But so fun.” Another sip of his drink.
Absently, he carried on the conversation. “So where are you from?” Seemed simple enough since they were sitting and not dancing, though it wasn’t like it mattered much either when everyone was disguised.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] She didn't understand the willingness to dance, or even the appeal in dancing, which might make it seem a little more odd that she was even here. But she didn't want to be completely cut out of the world, even if it felt right for her to be like that. But still, changes were needed. She nodded lightly though, it did sound like fun to be able to dance. Perhaps she would have to try a single dance later on. Probably before she was to leave, that would possibly be a good idea. It was the question that caught her off guard a bit. She has never really been asked where she was from before.[break][break]"Veintown in Almia." The region was far enough away that she didn't need to worry about family coming after her to try and hunt her down. That was something that she enjoyed really. But at the same time, was it really that much of a blessing? Speaking of blessings, the egg in her hands started to shake more violently and she looked down at it to see some cracks in the shell. "Oh!" One quick and simple word to show her excitement and shock. She really didn't expect the egg to hatch here at the event, but she wasn't going to be able to stop it.[break][break]After a few moments of rustling and bustling, the egg finally fully cracked open and fell away, revealing a Castform in her hands instead. There was an automatic connection made in her mind, the one that made her know that she had a pokemon to be able to telepathically talk to once more. She was even a small Castform, Chimera. Correction, Chimera was small. Just the simple little word made Cinzia giggle lightly.
Hmmmm… Gabe flipped over his thoughts a couple of times trying to remember where Almia was on the map. “Interesting, I’ve never been there,” he admitted taking another swig of his drink. Her soft ‘oh’ caught his attention as did the— egg hatching.
“Oh??” He shifted in his seat to get a better look at the egg itself. It seemed they were about to see just what was within that mystery egg after all. How lucky. As the Castform broke free, Gabe’s eyes grew. “Oh my those are rather rare,” he commented. They weren’t exactly popular either, though, so he supposed that balanced out. “Welcome to life,” he greeted the Pokemon with a small grin. “You’ve come in at a fascinating time.” The music was playing. People were dancing. It was a good time to come out and join the world, he supposed.
He… kind of wanted Gum to come copy that. It would be useful if he ever wanted to have an immediate weather controller available. Reaching back to presumably feel through his hair, he poked Gum who had taken the form of a small tie in his hair. The Ditto opened one eye and then the other. “Tto??”
“C’mere, Gum,” Gabe murmured. The Ditto reshaped and slinked onto his shoulder and then onto the table to look forward and blink slowly now.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] It honestly didn’t surprise her that he hadn’t been to Almia before. It wasn’t the closest region to try to get to. But it was the place where she came from, so that had to say something about her dedication about getting out of that region didn’t it. But even still, her ‘oh’ seemed to have caught his attention, for he was soon looking over and watching as the egg hatched. Her eyes had been affixed to Chimera, at least until the Litwick started to talk to the newly hatched Castform.[break][break]She looked over at him and nodded lightly as Chimera took a better spot floating above the table. Just looking at her, she really was smaller than a normal sized Castform. Cin thought that it was adorable. “Chimera.” As she said the name, the Castform seemed to twirl a bit in her floating state, before both Cin and Chimera looked at the Ditto that appeared. It was the Litwick’s hair tie? That was interesting.[break][break]“They are friendly yes?” “As far as I have seen yes.” Now, if Gabe was able to read minds, that would be the most that he would have heard Cin talk all night, and it was only because she was talking to a real pokemon, and not a human dressed up as a pokemon. “Nice Ditto.” She was still going to hold a conversation with this person though, because they had been kind enough to sit here and talk with her and get her some punch.
Chimera— Had she named it already or mistaken it for another Pokemon or?— After Project Chimera? Was that just a coincidence? He had to wonder how new she was to the region at that point. “You know there’s supposedly a group in the region named Chimera,” he murmured leaning forward to get a better look at the Castform. “You might need to be careful so as not to be confused with them.”
Gum had finally realized why it had been summoned. Staring up at the Castform, it slowly shifted cellularly taking on the form and fashion of the Castform in front of it. Now it would remember that for a long long time, yes. The compliment had Gum looking sideways and uttering a cry that was very reminiscent of Castform now rather than Ditto. Gabe meanwhile glanced sideways at it and then forward again at the Gardevoir. “Thank you,” he mused. “I have it copy interesting Pokemon— I hope you don’t mind.” He laughed softly after that.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] Wait what? There was a group called that around here? "We should change your name." "No, this is my name. I'm not changing it because of some radical group." Well, that settled that little problem. Cin looked from the castform to the Litwick. "She named herself." Cin thought on it some more though but an angry sound came from the Castform, reminding Cin that Chimera was able to read her mind as well. "Won't change." Cin shrugged softly as she focused on the Ditto for a moment.[break][break]She watched as the Ditto shifted to look like Chimera and she thought that it was pretty awesome to see. She smiled though and nodded lightly. Hopefully this wasn't going to bite her in the ass later. "You're welcome." Chimera seemed to be mystified over the Ditto though and was watching it. "Very interesting." She looked from the Ditto back to the Litwick then.
A curious expression came to Gabe’s features as the Gardevoir spoke. “Named herself?” He looked sideways at the Castform as if half expecting it to talk right then and there. “How so?” he asked. Was she truly a Gardevoir that night with the power to read other’s minds? Wait there were actually people like that— He being one of them but of a different category.
Gum stared back at its new counterpart mimicking the small motions that was directed its way. Slowly, it also floated up off the table as well to make the entire thing look like two Castform assessing one another. A small puff of air escaped form Gabe. He knew well enough that Gum didn’t need that close an assessment to complete a transformation. It was just interested and wanted to know more. “Gum, be nice,” he warned. The Dittoform looked back and made a face very uncharacteristic of Castform’s features before looking forward again. Well, alright. It supposed it could do that. Floating around the other, it gave soft cries of playfulness.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] "You said to much. Now you have to tell him." Well, Chimera had the right of it right there. There had to be an easy way to explain this. Well, there was the single word answer that she could do, but that seemed to be too easy? Or was it just that she didn't need very many others to know. She didn't know, but she sighed lightly as she nodded. "Telepathically." The word seemed to be a bit strained, but could still be heard over the music and talking of others.[break][break]Too bad there wasn't any weather out at the moment. That would make things easy for Chimera. But at the same time, there was still a way to tell the difference between the two, no matter how subtle it might be. But the castform seemed to be uninterested in the play. Turns out, she was the serious one of the two, which was going to be an excellent way to tell them apart. Cin looked from the two pokemon back to the Litwick.[break][break]"Not scared?" She wasn't used to people not being scared or freaked at the fact that she could read minds and talk to someone in their mind. It was a trip figuring it out when she was young, but it also would explain the lack of actual social skills.
Telepathy… Gabe’s lips parted and sealed. He had heard of that as a Psychic skill but had never encountered it in person. Was she reading his mind right then, then? How much did she know if anything? Gabe bit the inside of his mouth and didn’t say anything immediately. Instead, his gaze flicked sideways to watching the Castform move. No… If she had been reading his mind, she would have acted already, he decided.
Was he scared? “No not really….” Gabe answered slowly. “I think it’s rather cool, actually. Is it only between you and Pokemon or? Can you communicate with humans?” he asked curiously hoping that he seemed more legitimately curious than vaguely worried.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] He had nothing to say. Did she say too much? That was a good question. But she watched as he thought on what to say. Technically, she could just peak into his mind, but she wasn't the person to do that. She actually actively stayed out of another person's mind, unless she was invited in. But, in the chaos that was her mind right now on trying to figure out how to fix whatever might have just happened, she looked at Chimera. He soon answered though and she looked back at him.[break][break]She looked down at Chimera, to the Ditto, then back at Gabe. "Both." She thought for a moment. She should tell him that she only really spoke to pokemon though. "Mainly pokemon." There was another slight pause as she thought. "Only bonded." Yes, she was only able to talk to the pokemon that she was bonded to right now. So no, she couldn't even get into the Litwick's Ditto's mind.
“I see….” Gabe answered more interested than he wanted to admit to being. Unfortunately for him, he seemed to… cause the woman discomfort as she rather quickly got up thereafter. “Ah? Sorry?” he called, but she was gone. He sat at the table for a moment mulling over exactly what had happened before looking sideways at Gum. Well, at least it had seen a Castfrom now which meant that it could replicate that whenever he really needed. When that would be was up in the air but ah whatever. “Good work…” Gum just looked up at him and shifted back into a pile of cells right after. A soft “To…” escaped from it.
