Good, Sid was walking away. [break][break] He supposed they couldn't go too far - after all, two of their Pokemon were still there, the silly Cleffa attempting to ride on the Espeon's back as she followed Sid over to the tree. He tilted his head and tried to read her expression. How do you feel about this? Are you as done as I am? We joined together in this strange party out of mutual convenience. Once we depart the forest, we'll part ways, and everything will be just as it was. [break][break] He sighed and leaned his head back, closing his eyes. By force of habit, his aura sight flickered on, and [break][break] and why was someone right next to him [break][break] He opened his eyes with a start. Bent down next to him was a flickering flurry of cool tones, mixed with white and gray. The concentration of light tones increased around the person's head. Upon further concentration Kaisei remembered he was looking at Sid, and that was just their hair color. But what was Sid doing there? They were -- trying to roll up his sleeve -- fuck, he hadn't even noticed, or felt anything. Was his arm really that bad? [break][break] "What are you doing?" he asked in a small voice. [break][break] He started to pull away to leave, but Saber was rapidly approaching the other side of him, the two of them boxing him in so he couldn't easily get away. [break][break] "What do you want from me?" [break][break] He sighed and thumped his head backward against the tree again. The impact was harder and louder than he'd anticipated, cracking the silence. [break][break] "I mean, you figured it out. I'm not-- Obviously, I'm not-- But, you don't actually believe in knights and stuff, do you?" he said. As Kaisei startled, Sid fidgeted back a smidgen. What were they doing? “Checking your arm,” Sid answered. The follow up question, however, had their brows knitting. “I want to make sure it wasn’t… injured…”
What followed, however, had Sid’s features softening again. Ah he was worried about…about their perception of the situation? That was actually kind of sweet in its own way. “I believe in their legacy,” Sid answered with a smile. “Including that in ancient times, Honedge would wrap their cloth around a knight’s arm and drain the life from them…”
Sid’s eyes dropped to his arm again carefully. “I’m actually a nurse for both Pokemon and humans, so I was making sure that physically it hadn’t… caused any problems. I’m not sure I can help on the spiritual end of things.”
Oh, Sid was a nurse. Well, that actually explained a lot of things. He supposed it was their instinct to check on a person who seemed to be unwell. He hadn't met too many human nurses (which was probably a function of his own stubbornness more than anything) but he'd run into quite a few for Pokemon. The good ones listened to your story, fixed up your Pokemon in a day or two, and did it with a smile. The best ones didn't ask too many prying questions. [break][break] Sid wasn't asking too many questions. This was a good sign. [break][break] "Just pulled a muscle in my shoulder, I think... but it's not a big deal. I've had worse," he said, as if that was meant to be reassuring. "But as far as Honedge, well..." He shrugged. "If it's true that it drains souls, it would explain a lot." He held out his wrist again. "Feels normal enough on the outside, but..." He let the pause linger. Sid themself admitted that they didn't know much about spiritual matters. "At this point there's not much point in worrying about it. 'S not gonna make anything better, so just push past it. It's what I've always done, Sid-sensei. Can I call ya sensei? You think I should see a-- channeler, or a medium, or somesuch, sensei?" [break][break] Saber had heard enough. She swiped her foot and knocked Sting's Pokeball into the air, releasing the Honedge, then stamped one foot down onto his sash and the other onto the blade's sheath, making it impossible for the Pokemon to move even if he were not already paralyzed. Then she bent down and spoke to him in a soft, even voice, like a mother crooning to her child. [break][break] <I know what you did. This is your first and only warning.> [break][break] <I'm sorry... I'm sorry...> [break][break] <If you ever do anything to harm Trainer ever again, I will personally remove your eye from its socket.> She lifted a paw and extended it toward the blue orb, which appeared to quiver back in terror. Sting let out a high-pitched whine, vibrating through the air. Flashing a toothy smile, Saber lifted herself off of the Honedge and strode back toward Kaisei. [break][break] "She seems in a good mood," he said to Sid. "Do you ever wonder, sometimes? What it'd be like to know they're saying?" Sid’s lips pressed together as Kaisei spoke. “Hm….” Well, all the muscles in his arm seemed alright, and they couldn’t see any abrasions so…. maybe it was just a strain after all. Right after, however, they froze. Wait…. He thought… maybe then….?? Looking down at Kaisei’s arm, Sid felt their brows knit. What could they do in this case? Not much, if anything.
…And then Kaisei kept speaking, and suddenly their face was scarlet. “S-s-sensei—“ they breathed, the tips of their ears even redder than their features. Oh gosh, that was so cute. They were the sensei of the hour! Yes! If only they had a cosplay or something— Er. But… this was real life. “I’d…. hm… yes a medium might be able to help, I think,” they realized aloud. Surely there were people who studied spiritual matters and could help, right?
From the corner of their eye, Sid caught Saber’s motions and sweat dropped. O-oh. Ok. Welp. Yeah, they were gonna look forward instead, then. Kaisei’s question earned a small snort back. “There’s a famous Gym Leader from my old home named Sabrina…. She was a fiercely powerful Psychic trainer and psychic person in general…. It was said she could even speak to Pokemon like we’re speaking now…” They sighed a little wistfully at that. “I have to say I’m jealous of it.” Even if perhaps that last part was a rumor only.
“Hey you!”
Sid blinked looking sideways to find a Scout making eye contact with them. “Me?”
The young lad made an index point to Angel the Espeon who had curled at their feet. “I want to battle that Espeon! It looks strong!” the trainer huffed. Angel slowly sat up (causing Cupid to slide from her shoulders and roll off entirely after.
Sid tilted their head to one side and looked back to Kaisei and then forward again. “Angel are you up for it?” The Espeon trilled a little. She didn’t particularly like the look this kid was giving her trainer, so if she could sweep it away, the faster the better. “Alright then…” Slowly Sid got up again as Angel moved forward. Cupid sat back along the tree to watch and wait.
The kid was quick to toss out a Pokeball, but the Graveler that took form still caused Sid to blink in surprise. “Graveler! Give it all you got! Bulldoze!” the kid cried. The Graveler shined bright… and brighter… and that was definitely not a—
Boom.
Self-destruct. Sid felt themselves go flying back into the tree and Angel right along with them. The kid went flying back as well with his now fainted bomb in the crater of the explosion.
Oh shit. Ohshit. As soon as he realized Sid was... blushing? from being called sensei? He knew it, calling them doc was a bad idea. They were after all really a nurse. He wished he could take it back, but Sid had already moved on, talking about mediums, and they also brought up Sabrina of Saffron City. So that was their hometown. He wondered if there was a Psychic gym leader in Arciel, not that he had any intention of challenging them, but for someone to help him make sense of all of this. [break][break] A shout caught Sid and Kaisei's attention and the blond stood back, eager to watch how Sid would conduct themself in battle. The approaching Scout called for a Bulldoze attack, and--what? That was definitely not a Bulldoze attack-- [break][break] Kaisei and Saber braced themselves as the explosion rocked the forest. "Hey, dumbass!" Kaisei yelled at the trainer. "Why don't you control your damn Pokemon? Some innocent bystander could have gotten hurt!" He was not wrong, as it turned out that Cupid the Cleffa had narrowly avoided getting squished by Sid and Angel slamming into the tree, but Kaisei wasn't even thinking about that at the moment. It enraged him even more when he realized the scout couldn't hear him, because he had also been knocked flat by the explosion and passed out, whether from the force of the shockwave or from sheer terror. Damn wimp. [break][break] They were not the only bystanders to have been affected, though. A Pidgey had been roosting in the tree, and while it was normally not an angry bird, it was very put out by the sudden loud bang, not to mention the bodies slamming into its home. Screeching and cawing, it flew out, aiming to shit on the most immediate target - Kaisei Nebula. [break][break] nUTTxElep_ [break][break] He was fast, but not fast enough. A bit of Pidgey shit splattered on the edge of his hair. "Saber!" [break][break] The Absol sighed, and roared in challenge to the Pidgey, distracting it from her trainer. As soon as the Pidgey's Quick Attack hit her she realized this wasn't a fight she could win on strength alone. Perhaps she could use Perish Song...? No, that wouldn't do either, there were other Pokemon present, and they might be affected... Sighing, she bent down and picked up the Honedge in her mouth, ignoring his frantic protests. When the Pidgey flew in for another attack, she swung her head through the air, and the blade followed. [break][break] "Aerial Ace!" called out Kaisei. The Pidgey pivoted to dodge, but was cleanly hit across the tail on Saber's and Sting's backswing. [break][break] It stumbled in its flight, dropping altitude before flapping furiously to regain momentum. Once it was back in flight, it pushed its wings forward, flapping a Gust toward the Absol. Saber charged through the tunnel of invisible air and brought Sting close to execute another Aerial Ace attack. This one hit the Pidgey in the wing, opening it up to a Play Rough from Saber, after which it finally gave up and flapped off. [break][break] "Good work, Saber, Sting," Kaisei said, though as they walked closer he saw that they were in a lot rougher shape than they looked at first. He immediately recalled Sting back into his Pokeball and looked Saber up and down, but her attention wasn't on her own health - it was on Sid. Oh, right. The stupid Graveler had knocked out Sid, but also their guide, the Espeon. Now what the hell were they supposed to do? [break][break] Softly, Saber bent down to lick the youth's face. <Wake up... Please?> [break][break] Party: Charmander (Haru, Lv9, 5/5 Energy, ❄️), Absol (Saber, Lv7>8, 5/5>4/5 Energy), Honedge (Sting, Lv12>13, 4/5>3/5 Energy), Fomantis (Kusanagi, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv6, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv5, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 598 WC
Arms clutched tight around a fainted Espeon, Sid lay up against the tree they had been blasted into. They might have looked peaceful had the angle of their hips, spine, and neck been off. Their head had turned in such an awkward way that their cheek rested against the tree as well. For a hot minute, though, Sid wouldn’t feel a thing.
“Ngh….” And then they would feel something. The soft lick of tongue on their face… and the pain in their back. A sharp, higher pitched whine escaped from Sid, and they rolled sideways away from Saber for a moment. That was…. at least… until they realized Angel was in their arms. Blinking alarmed again, Sid managed to sit up some more this time. “Angie… oh gods… Angie…” Sid looked around quickly. “Cupid, the medical kit, gambatte!” Cupid squeaked and quickly scrambled to grab their bag (which had thankfully NOT been blasted in a completely opposite direction).
Taking in a few breaths, Sid slowly twisted back to look at Saber. “Are you ok? You look hurt, Saber…” they breathed not entirely aware of the battle that had transpired and assuming her injuries were from the blast. As Cupid squeaked, however, they looked back again and found him bringing the medical kit forward. Oh thank goodness it wasn’t dented or anything.
Who first? Who did they heal? What about Kaisei— Their eyes raised to him right after. He seemed…. Uninjured at least? Sid’s eyes lowered again. She had been closest to the explosion, so….
They were quick to shift Angel carefully onto the ground. Ok, vitals first. Heart, lungs then extremities. They checked over the first two, their hands reaching and moving with a knowing sort of motion. Her heart was fine… her lungs seemed in tact. There wasn’t immediate damage there.
She’s most got some internal abrasions… But they knew that already. Carefully shifting over to their supply box, they opened it and then started pulling out ingrediants. “Cupid, hold this for me…” was all they’d say before handing him a flask with which they quickly poured something from another into it. Shaking it up and checking the spray pressure, they took in a breath, turned, and started applying it.
Angel whined. She was coming back to consciousness almost immediately with assistance like that, but it still hurt. It hurt so much. “I’m so sorry, Ange…. I didn’t know…” Sid breathed as they continued to apply the spray carefully over her form. The various marks of injury began to lighten some, at least.
Setting that spray down, they grabbed another and had Cupid hold another flask before pouring something into that as well and then immediately crushing its contents. “You’re going to have to drink it, Ange…” Sid warned. The Espeon whined but complied letting her maw go slack before Sid carefully helped her drink. It tasted terrible, and she let them know that with another whine. “I know… I know…. I’m sorry…” Sid breathed.
They reached for another container— and immediately dropped it. It was only after this that Sid realized they were shaking. Their hands… their forearms… everything was shaking just a little. Oh…. Yeah they did just kind of have back and neck trauma now that they thought about it. Whoops.
"Saber? Ah, she's..." Kaisei wasn't sure he had the words for it, but Saber was counting on him to speak for her. He walked over and made a cursory inspection of her injuries. "She's fine, but we should probably get to a Pokemon Center as soon as possible," he said. Of course they should, because at the very least it would be within the borders of civilization and not within the stupid forest. [break][break] He watched with eyes wide as Sid pulled out their medical kit and started pulling things out of it, concocting some potions which they then sprayed on the Espeon, reviving her from unconsciousness although she still seemed in quite a bit of pain. And they were so accomplished at such a young age, too... Kaisei was beginning to feel better about having Sid along. He supposed they had earned themself a good deed at this point. [break][break] The Rangers wouldn't get on his case too much if he was friends with a nurse, right? He took out his phone and, after gritting his teeth, forced himself to enter in the number for emergency services. He was just about to dial the call when he caught a brief glimpse at his 0% battery before the phone went dead. [break][break] How? How did-- [break][break] Shit. [break][break] He forgot to close the map app, didn't he? And the whole time the phone had been burning battery, searching and failing to get any signal. He surreptitiously tucked the phone away in a pocket before walking to Sid again, and releasing the rest of his team. [break][break] "I'm going to scout the area with Murakumo and Hayato. See if we're close to a way out of here. Haru, Kusanagi, Sting, Saber. Keep an eye on them for me and let me know if anything happens, 'kay?" While the Charmander and Fomantis nodded in unison, the Honedge could only let out a weak sching... from its supine position on the ground. For her part, the Absol shook her head. She needed to be with her trainer.
After some time, Kaisei returned. He had not found the way out of the forest but he had had a very strange encounter with a gang of sentient eggs. "Yo, Sid-san... how you and Angel holding up?" [break][break] Party Update after Swarms: Charmander (Haru, Lv9, 5/5 Energy, ❄️), Absol (Saber, Lv8, 4/5 Energy), Honedge (Sting, Lv13, 3/5 Energy), Fomantis (Kusanagi, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv7, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv7, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 376 WC
“Gambatte,” Sid wouldn’t even remember giving the encouragement to Kaisei as he went to scout out the area. Their attention remained on their Pokemon. Slowly as Angel revived again, Sid calmed down again. She was weak but conscious, down but not out entirely. After that, they went to check on the kid and his Pokemon— only to find that at some point during their exchange, he’d gotten up, returned his Graveler, and went somewhere else. Sid worried for him… but couldn’t afford to worry extensively.
By the time Kaisei had returned, Sid had sat back and started to return their supplies to the appropriate places. They glanced back at Kaisei and then forward at Angel again. “She’s getting better,” they answered. The Espeon gave a small trill in response to that. “We… should be good to go now, I think…Oh, right…”
Sid shifted and grabbed a little black jar of incense before holding it up and out towards Kaisei and Saber. The latter would be able to smell the very appealing Dark Incense therein. “It won’t heal exactly, Saber-chan, but it soothes and attracts Dark Pokemon…” they explained before holding it out to Kaisei to hold onto.

Kaisei watched as Sid got to their feet and noticed they were holding something out. A gift? ...oh, it was for Saber. Of course it was for Saber. The Absol leaned forward and sniffed it curiously. She turned to Kaisei and nodded, and he took the incense into his hands, before taking the stick and lighting it. [break][break] A strong, musky smell filled the area. What exactly it was, Kaisei was unable to determine, given his lack of knowledge about plants that were not directly involved in berry crossbreeding. But it reminded him of a mysterious moonless night, the darkness holding beauty, but also danger. Saber, standing next to him, had taken in a deep whiff of the incense, and smiled with contentment. She made a soft murmuring noise in Kaisei's direction, which he chose to interpret as thanks. He supposed he ought to thank Sid as well; seeing as Saber was unable to speak in human language, it fell to him to be her mouthpiece. "Ah... Saber says thank you, Sid-san. I believe she's feeling more relaxed." [break][break] When they would set off, Kaisei recalled all his Pokemon other than Saber and kept the burning incense held in his left hand, his right still recovering from... whatever it was... that had occurred with Sting. He hoped that after a few days of rest it would be back to normal. He hoped. [break][break] Party: Charmander (Haru, Lv9, 5/5 Energy, ❄️), Absol (Saber, Lv8, 4/5 Energy), Honedge (Sting, Lv13, 3/5 Energy), Fomantis (Kusanagi, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv7, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv7, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 231 WC[break] Using Dark Incense. 5/5 spawns remain.
A soft smile pulled onto Sid’s features as the incense was lit and the Absol seemed pleased. Their eyes fell back to Kaisei again, and they grinned a little more. “Glad to help,” they answered feeling a bit better as well.
“Angel, are you feeling well enough to help us out of here?” Angel was feeling much better actually! Well, as best she could given the nastier circumstances. She could still probably benefit from a Pokemon Center run after all of this. “Ok…. Let’s get going then…” they nodded for certain. Cupid was quick to hop up them and rest on their shoulder rather than walk. Sid’s hand immediately reached back to pat him gently in turn. “Thank you too, Cu,” they murmured. The Cleffa trilled a little happily back. Good good.
As Angel started moving again, Sid did as well presumably followed by Kaisei’s cohort. They realized that in walking, their ribs actually hurt, but they were pretty sure they knew what a broken rib felt like. These were just likely bruised from impact, and they could take care of that later, probably.
Sensing something in the air’s flow, Angel stopped and trilled before looking back. Sid stopped as well looking around carefully for the source of her worries. What they’d see, however, was a Thievul’s red coat and— Sid squinted. Was it… attempting to take something out of the hole in that tree? They couldn’t actually see what it was, but a sudden scream of Murkrow was enough. A small gang of them went flying forward and pecking at the Thievul who was quick to leap down and run fast— towards Sid and more specifically Angel.
No, not again. Before they could reach her, Sid was throwing out another Pokeball to reveal Excalibur. “Iron Defense, Gambatte!” they shouted. The Honedge steeled himself and took the beaks and claws of the Murkrow in stride bfore deciding to dish out some retribution in the form of a well placed Retaliate. Several of the birds were smashed into and went flying back. The Thievul, meanwhile, was now hiding behind Angel and looking uncertain. Angel looked from her to Sid and back again uncertainly. Sid offered a small smile. “Hey there…”
But where is the boss bird? Espeon [Angel, 37 (5 energy again) ], Cleffa [Cupid, 31], Drampa [Lord, 27], Skiddo [Noble, 31], Honedge [Excalibur, 35], Scolipede [Great Serpent, 33]
They walked on in silence, Kaisei happy to fall in behind Sid's cohort, at least until the Espeon suddenly stopped. Kaisei immediately had a bad feeling about this. He spotted the Thievul at around the same time as Sid, attempting to steal something out of a hollow tree, at least until it was set upon by a gang of Murkrow. Those were the breaks, he thought. You weren't a good enough thief, you deserved to get caught. "Sid-san, let's get out of--" [break][break] Too late. The Thievul was already bounding in their direction. And Sid was-- defending it? He watched them throw out a Pokeball to reveal a Honedge, feeling a twinge of jealousy when he saw that it was a full-sized sword. After the immediate danger had cleared, he watched what appeared to be Sid trying to make friends with the Thievul. Even though it was obviously a thief, and already under attack? What is up with this fellow? he wondered. [break][break] He wouldn't just outright tell Sid about his criminal past, though. Even if they didn't mind, there was no need to invite unnecessary judgment. [break][break] A loud caw sounded from a nearby tree, and Kaisei and Saber both jerked their heads in the direction of the sound. It was a Honchkrow, making itself known from a protruding tree branch. With the Thievul cowering behind Angel, Saber immediately stepped up to the front line to position herself between the crow and fox Pokemon. Kaisei grumbled under his breath. Damn Saber, having to act like a hero at a time like this, when she was already injured? And for what? It wasn't like she could 1v9 fend off a mob of small and agile bird Pokemon. [break][break] Unless... [break][break] He looked back at the incense in his hand. Of course it was the incense. It had a soothing effect on Dark-type Pokemon, so it was only natural they would be drawn toward it. Of course, it was Sid's fault for giving him the incense, but he had been the one to decide to light it... What was wrong with him? Why was he forever causing problems for himself? [break][break] He wouldn't rely on someone else to bail him out now, though. Not this time. [break][break] "Sid-san." He tried to make his voice just sharp enough to get their attention, before he switched to a low whisper. "This is going to sound completely crazy... but I think we should split up. [break][break] "It's the only way Saber's Perish Song will work." [break][break] Party: Charmander (Haru, Lv9, 5/5 Energy, ❄️), Absol (Saber, Lv8, 4/5 Energy), Honedge (Sting, Lv13, 3/5 Energy), Fomantis (Kusanagi, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv7, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv7, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 417 WC[break]

Sid bit their lower lip. This was a lot of birds, and Excalibur was made of steel, but if any of them chose to use a Dark move and realized his weakness, this could get ugly quickly. At Kaisei’s words, they glanced sideways at him. Run? Split up? But in this forest, they could so easily get lost that it was— Perish song. They just had to get out of earshot then. “Ok.”
Quickly, Sid returned Excalibur again. “Angel, let’s go!” they called quickly turning to run. Angel was about to protest only to find herself picked up and carted off with. The Thievul hesitated before deciding staying with the one not facing the birds was a better idea. With that, they were quick to run for now. Angel glanced back and used some well placed Psybeams to distract them (if unfortunately not actually damaging them).
Once they had gotten a safe enough distance away, Sid slowed and then glanced back at the Thievul with them. Now that they had a moment to really engage the creature, they frowned at her. “What were you trying to steal?” they asked. The Thievul immediately regretted not staying with what at least looked like the dumber of the two humans. She looked from Angel to Sid and backed up slowly. Angel hesitated and trilled. It didn’t help as the Thievul went barreling at her with a Night Slash.
Sid was immediately on the defensive again. This time, they released Noble the Skiddo instead. “Noble, no time, use Vine Whip,” Sid called. The Thievul had started to run only to be seized by the vines reaching up from the ground now. The Skiddo just sort of assumed that Sid was wanting to capture it before it fled. “Now Seed Bomb!” The Thievul took the attack and shook her head quickly forming a Nasty Plot. She still wouldn’t expect a Double Edge off of Angel who was equal parts lethargic and pissed that she had been duped. That was enough to have the Thievul staggering, however, and Sid was quick to throw a Pokeball.
[attr="class","queentext"] As soon as Sid and the Thievul took off, Saber shouted out a taunt to the Murkrow. Oh, that definitely got their attention. She barked a few words to Kaisei, lowering her front legs so he could climb on her back, and they were off like a rocket. [break][break] Tree branches were smacked aside and fallen logs trampled as Saber raced through the forest, followed by the flock of Murkrow. All Kaisei could do was to cling onto Saber's neck with one hand and the incense with the other. After what seemed like altogether too short a time, Saber slowed to a stop and turned around to face the Murkrow. [break][break] And she began to sing. [break][break] One of the Murkrow immediately tried to dive-bomb the huge Absol, and oh no you don't, Kaisei thought. With his now free hand, he reached into his backpack and grabbed the first thing he could get a hold of, which just so happened to be the portable pantry. He swung it upward in an arc, smacking the Murkrow in the side, who squawked furiously and fluttered back to the rest of its flock. Kaisei dropped the incense on the ground and reached around inside his bag for his fishing pole, brandishing it at another pair of Murkrow that seemed like they were getting uppity. He slung his arm through the portable pantry's handle, as if it were a small shield. The Murkrow had taken to circling the odd human and Pokemon pair, unsure what to do. And all the meanwhile, Saber continued singing. [break][break] Kaisei looked up into the tallest tree and lo and behold, made eye contact with the leader of the flock, a Honchkrow. He stared her down calmly, as if to say, Are you really willing to lose your entire crew over such a trivial matter? [break][break] The Honchkrow fluffed up her chest and squawked harshly, then let out a louder, raucous caw to signal her flock. As one, the entire group of Murkrow turned and flew off to the west, the Honchkrow giving Kaisei one last, glaring look before she continued after them. [break][break] Saber stopped her song and almost immediately collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily, and forcing Kaisei to roll off her back. She looked to be in bad shape... He knew he had a potion around somewhere. Digging down to the bottom of the bag, he retrieved some and sprayed it on the Absol. "I know, I know, it's not as good as what Sid-sensei can do..." he muttered, though it was uncertain whether it was to Saber or himself. "At least I tried, okay?" [break][break] Party Update: Charmander (Haru, Lv9, 5/5 Energy, ❄️), Absol (Saber, Lv19, 5/5 Energy), Honedge (Sting, Lv13, 3/5 Energy), Fomantis (Kusanagi, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv7, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv7, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 435 WC[break] 1 Potion used.

In a flash of light, the Thievul escaped from the Pokeball. A cry escaped from her before she formed a Night Slash and went charging at Angel. The Espeon froze. “Noble!” In a split second, the Skiddo got in between the swipe of the Thievul and the Espeon taking the damage much better than the Espeon would have.
Wincing and shaking out his coat, the Skiddo smiled at the Espeon who managed to smile back. “Thanks, Noble,” Sid spoke. Turning around, the Skiddo stomped his foot in determination— and then began to glow? Grow! Shine brightly with light. Even the Thievul was taken aback and frozen watching it. “Noble…” Sid stared for a moment before grinning a bit harder. “Vine Whip!” Again the vines reached up from the grond and were sent crashing into the Thievul who hit the ground hard right after. She struggled and squirmed but would not be released this time. A cry escaped from Noble. If Sid wanted to try again, now was the time.
Sid took in a breath, grabbed another ball.
Note: Using an Ultra Ball.
