With a great creak, he managed to veer around from the Diglett at the last second (also just narrowly missing another worker who'd gotten a little speed-happy with the industrial fan, not unlike someone speeding along on a grocery cart) and get the fan back on a steady, if rocky, path. Since his hands were full and he didn't want to risk smushing another innocent Diglett, Soren ignored it for the time being and followed along with the rest of the crowd as they carted the fans off to... actually, he wasn't sure where. And it looked like he wasn't going to find out anytime soon, since the few workers in front of him had stopped and were clustered around something small and red that seemed to be flitting all around... with that big, grinning face he'd seen on the fans from earlier.

The closer he got the more he was able to pick up on little snippets of conversation, which were all along the lines of "whose Rotom is that?". So it had been a Pokemon after all, and Soren was torn between clustering with everyone else or following along with a few of the other workers who'd managed to get back on the right path. He settled with the latter, and as he passed by the oddly smiling, red creature it caught sight of him, bobbing up and down excitedly, and then zipped over the heads and shoulders of his fellow workers to make its way over to him. Not entirely sure if it was gonna attack him or eat him, Soren started walking faster, a teensy bit panicked.

The Rotom doesn't make any further mischief but it acts in a way that makes it obvious to everyone that it belongs to you. You hear whispers behind your back.

The foreman arrives. Thankfully he didn't witness any of the incidents with the fans. He directs you and the others back to work putting up the house walls.

Whelp, that was probably his cue to get on out of there. There hadn't been much of a time limit for the job, with it being heavily implied that as long as they got a decent amount's work done, they were free to do whatever, especially since they weren't technically on contract. But the foreman chose just then to appear, and, fortunately, the Rotom chose at that same moment to disappear, though Soren did feel a buzz in his phone at the exact instant the pokemon vanished from site, so that was a little telling.

Regardless, once he had the fan placed he moved to do as directed by the foreman, assisting a few other people plus some construction pokemon in raising the walls and getting them at just the right angle in order to be fastened into place. It seemed like there would be no further incident, the pokemon having had her? his? its? fun, and after a while of more work Soren excused himself and went to go collect his payment for the day's work.
