There was a saying that people liked to use. Just get back onto the Ponyta's saddle and try again. And as much as Levy knew that was what she should do, that didn't make the actual process of leaving Elliot behind and striking out on her own any easier. For a solid ten minutes she just stared down the Route, arms wrapped tightly around the white egg in her arms. Of course Zei was out and by her side, so she wasn't totally alone. But it also wasn't quite enough, Levy was still very much scared about what could happen.
Zei continued whining and yipping as he paced around and between Levy's legs. The small fox may not of known the exact thoughts going through his trainer's head, but he still knew and understood her worry. Her fear. Last time she was out, the encounter had ended abruptly when another trainer's actions had caused them to be attacked by Sevipers. And two of them had targeted her specifically, one of which had struck at her and had just nicked her arm with it's fang.
And of course that was the Seviper that was currently contained in the ultra ball on her hip. And she was all too aware of that. Levy stared forward, almost blankly for the longest time until Zei began pawing at her leg and whining. Only then did her mind snap out of it and her blue eyes looked downward at one of her dearest companions. Several blinks, then an inhale, exhale.
"It's okay Zei. This will be better than last time right?" Levy knelt down, scooping up the small fox and settling him over top of the egg. With him closer to her face, she buried her face partially into his side before she began the actual walk forward. Each step slow and cautious as if something would leap out at her if she made too much noise.

Her confidence and acting was really getting put to the test right now. Levy knew full well from her streams or being an idol, that if she showed weakness it was a possibility that others would take advantage of it. So she adjusted the set of her shoulders, standing tall, looking ahead rather than down at the ground. Zei remained laying on top of the egg, leaning against her chest.
And indeed everything would have been fine if not for the big brute of a man that spied her.
Levy refused to make eye contact with him, striding forward with forced ease. She would not get picked on by a thug!
"Ey! Babe! Got a question for you." He spoke to her anyway, though she continued to stretch her stride and hurried away. She wanted to avoid the confrontation. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" His voice rose in volume, booming and nearly startling her. But just when Levy began to run, his thundering steps came after her and jerked her backwards by her arm with a bruising grip.
Blue eyes narrowed, cold gaze doing nothing to cool his anger or her own. But if looks could kill, this guy would be long gone. "Let go." Came the simple demand, voice even colder than her gaze.
Maybe the guy flinched back, but his grip tightened on her arm as he used his few extra inches of height to try and tower over her. "I was going to be nice and ask for some change, but for that attitude I'm going to take your Pokemon instead!" And his free hand came up, already moving to the scruff of Zei's neck even as the fox growled.
But if you thought Levy would take this sitting down, you'd be very much wrong.
Before the hand could actually touch her precious partner, she kicked her foot upwards as hard as she could, nailing him in the groin. Proved him right! No one got to touch Zei like that!
He groaned, brown eyes watering as they looked back up at her. He snarled, grabbing at both of his pokeballs and releasing the Pokemon inside. A Poochyena and Nidoran came out, the canine growling while the rodent just sort of trembled and shook? Zei growled right back, jumping down to protect his trainer.
Levy's hand came down, hovering over the black and yellow ball at her hip. Her hand began to tremble, teeth biting her lip. Closing her eyes she grasped the ball and threw it before she could think twice. The Seviper appeared, tongue flicking out as the oblivious snake peered around at the situation before looking to Levy. Seviper remembered her, slithering towards Levy to see how the was doing. The last the snake remembered they'd been fighting.
But Levy panicked, pushing the black, purple and yellow head away. "Ophi, I need you to fight!" Levy tried to keep the fear out of her voice, gut either the snake didn't understand or she was too surprised. And indeed Ophi was, her tongue flicking out at Levy before she slithering her way to Zei's side. She had a name, and that wasn't something she had ever thought about! And she actually sort of liked it! With the snake now giving Levy her space she stood tall again before pointing to the jerk. "I'll show you what the N in PNG stands for!" She declared, already giving orders to her Pokemon. She cared more about actual damage potential rather than appearances as she hugged the egg tightly to her chest.
The canines immediately started tussling, the poochyena tackling, while Zei darted around with his quick attack and slamming into the pooch. With that break in activity Zei activated Hone claws, running his claws against each other and glowing faintly red before he was launching himself back at the poochyena.
And Ophi just stared down at the more timid rodent of a nidoran. The Seviper was much larger than the Nidoran, and when he eyes began to glow, and her body sway it was that extra bit intimidating. The nidoran immediately began to freak out, kicking out though she ended up kicking herself and winding herself. Ophi stared on in delight, tongue flicking before she was lunging towards the partially disabled rodent, biting into her side with a deafening squeak. Then, before the nidoran could right itself Ophi was wrapping her body around it and squeezing tightly. Even licking it. This position was held for several long minutes until the nidoran bit down on the Seviper's body.
Ophi hissed angrily, releasing the rodent before biting her again. Giving her several firm shakes before tossing her to the side. And Zei gave one final dash at the poochyena so they landed in a heap together.
"N is for Nightmare bitch!" Levy pointed to the man, glaring at him before she was strutting down the path. Ophi hissed threateningly before she was slithering after Levy. Zei too huffed before he was running after Levy

Levy was most definitely stomping down the path, still clutching her egg tightly as she occasionally threw glances over her shoulder. She wanted to be sure that guy wasn't following her. It wasn't until Zei yelped that her attention shifted and she slowed down to look too see Zei crash into her calf.
"I'm sorry bud!" Levy sighed, crouching down and scooping him up into her arms where he panted for a few minutes. Levy sighed, nuzzling her nose into his side before she was looking to Ophi. The snake looked almost expectantly at her, tongue flicking out as she inched her way forward. Levy shivered, actually quite fearful as she warily watched the Seviper. And all she did was push the top portion of her nose against Levy's hand. Her fangs tilted towards her serpentine length more than Levy. Then her nose moved up her arm, finding the mostly healed scratch and flicking her tongue against it.
Levy blinked, not quite understanding at first. Then she smiled softly. "I'm fine now." Levy reassured the snake, shifting her precious bundle of fox and egg so that she could pat Ophi. The snake instantly turning her head back downwards to not risk hurting her now trainer again.
Their bonding moment was broken up but the sudden realization that there was a song playing near them. Or was it someone singing? It sounded beautiful, and Levy already felt it relaxing her. She turned to see where it was coming from before walking forwards. Eventually she found the source. A bunch of rocks making a semi circle as if it were a stage, and an Oricorio standing in the center of it. It's eyes closed as it sang soft notes. His arms swaying softly from side to side in time with the notes he sang.
Levy was instantly mesmerized by the performance, walking forward quietly to sit on the grass and just watch him. Ophi remained behind Levy, though she relaxed greatly. And Zei sat forward on Levy's lap, ears turned forward to listen to the song better.
The Oricorio was quite startled when he opened his eyes, the song faltering for a moment and his limbs stilled. But his audience sat there quietly and waited patiently for the song and dance. Seeing that they were genuinely interested the Oricorio smiled as much as it's beak would allow, then started the dance anew. Stepping one foot forward, he brought his feathered hands forwards and upwards. Posing as he sang. Then he began dancing in earnest, feet stepping quickly and elegantly, claps of his wings muffled but keeping the softer pace and tone of the dance and singing.
It didn't take long for Levy to recognize the dance and where it was from and she quickly hopped up. She didn't know the dance by heart, but she could follow the Oricorio well enough. She quickly jumped into the same dance, spinning the same time as the bird did. Levy followed through with several more turns, and while she wasn't quite as relaxed as the Oricorio she mirrored him as best as she could.
Then they struck the same pose at the end, and the Orcicorio was absolutely delighted to have such a good dance partner. "That was so much fun. Thank you." Levy smiled, kneeling down to the smaller Oricorio's level. "I'm actually a coordinato. They are trainers who do performances like this one for entertainment and just for the joy of it. I would love it if you joined me, then we could dance like this all the time! What do you say?" Levy asked as she held out the green and yellow ball.

The bird didn't seem to resist too much, clearly it was a little nervous with how it seemed to clasp it hand feathers in front of itself. And how the misty aura surrounding it seemed to condense and hang thicker in ther air. As if half way to a puddle. But that was something Levy understood. Getting taken out of something familiar and going into something more unknown. But, she could tell that the Oricorio would like it for the most part. Sure, if it had a little bit of stage fright, they could work on that!
The ball moved, just as gently as she would have expected from the seemingly gentle nature of the Oricorio. Two wiggle, three. Then a startling loud click. But it was now her's, Levy had caught another Pokemon! She hurried back to her bag, lifting it back onto her shoulder and pulled out her phone, already sending a quick text to Elliot saying she had caught it!
"Don't worry Tempo. We will just do our best and have fun dancing. That is all I ask." Levy held the ball close before adding it to her belt. With a wave of her hand Levy was trucking on forward again to see where the path took her. While noting that her bag shifted a bit more than usual.
The rocking of her bag was becoming quite noticeable, the weight of something throwing the bag forward before banging again on her hip. The bluenette frowned, looking around. Was it even safe to look into her bag right now? She had found out that the egg she carried was quite rare, and she didn't want anything to happen to it.
Levy didn't expect it, but a long salmon colored limb stuck out from the bushes off the path and waved her it's way. She looked to Zei, all bristled and on edge, and Ophi seemed quite relaxed still. But with her Pokemon she was sure that they could defend themselves. She walked past the large, thick bush and found a very defined pathway into it. So ducking down she found the hiding spot, and a very large Gourgiest that patted the ground beside it.
Levy was still wary, but sat across from it. The ghost type made no move other than to smile kindly and gestured to her now furiously wiggling bag. "Thank you." Levy smiled softly, shifting the bag into her lap and opening the flap. Indeed, the white egg was shaking quite vigorously now! And it was even bumping into the other orange and cream egg in her possession. Fearing that it may actually damage the other egg, she took out the white egg and wrapped it in one of the fabric swatches she kept in hr bag for this very reason. Then with the material to act as a barrier, she set it gently on the ground.
Then it was just a waiting game to see if the egg would hatch. Which it seemed quite obvious was the case. It didn't take long before the moment actually arrived. Cracks appeared, jagged but almost uniform around the middle of the egg. Then it pulsed, actually seeming to grow in size a bit before the top burst open and creamy spikes seemed to bloom open. Arms and legs burst out from the shell and then the cutest little pair of eyes were staring up at her in wonder.
It was a togepi! "Aww, hello little one! Aren't you just the sweetest little thing!" Levy cooed, already lifting up the baby Pokemon. It just continued to stare at her in wonder before crying out happily. And Levy could see the very pink ribbons that seemed to float about it. She still didn't understand what they were, all she knew was that she was very happy to have this little one at her side. Quickly she grabbed her phone, taking a selfie with her and the now very perplexed Togepi who didn't understand what Levy was doing before sending it to Elliot.
"Well, little baby Harmony. We should get going. Thank you." Levy smiled to the Gourgeist who just smiled and waved. Exiting the bush with her new companion was easy thanks to the path that had been made by the ghost. And the bluenette was quick to head down the path again, Harmony cooing in awe as he took in everything to offer.
"There, a journey really is meant to be a good thing." Levy smiled, confidence renewed.
The togepi chirped and cooed nearly every step of the way. Sure to Levy Route 1 was pretty much a replica of Route 2. But Harmony was totally new to the world, everything was totally new to him. And that was adorable! Now Levy truly understood how Elliot felt about making Echo battle. It was just such a painful thought right now. She clutched the Togepi closer who just simply waved his arms in delight.
Still she checked her bag, the orange egg still very visible with the latch of the bag open. It too was starting to wiggle, though not much yet. It might still be hatching some time soon which was almost worrying. Though Levy also felt that this one would be just fine too.
Levy was just walking down the path when she saw another person. This time it was a younger girl, and she was training with two Pokemon. Levy quickly used her phone for the pokedex app. Alola Sandshrew? How interesting! Levy nodded appreciatively before putting her phone away. One of the Sandshrew launched an ice Shard at the other, which was then destroyed with a metal claw which turned the shard into powder. Levy clapped, giving the girl a thumbs up. Then it was when she was about to turn to move on that she saw the girl's expression. Shock.
"A-are you Levy? From Pixie Nightmare Girls?" The girl asked, the Pokemon pausing in their efforts as their trainer ran over to the coordinator.
"Yes, yes I am." Levy spoke, slipping into her usual 'customer service' facade.
"Oh my gosh! I'm such a fan!" The younger girl squealed, a full high pitched squeal of delight that actually threw off Harmony and nearly sent him into tears. Levy was already shushing and bouncing him gently as the girl was digging in her bag. Levy was in no way surprised when a notebook and pen were what was pulled out and presented to her. "Can I please have your autograph?" The tremble of her hands showing just how excited the girl was.
"Of course! Who am I making it out to?" Levy asked, taking the pen.
"I'm Marcella! I'm training my sandshrews to try and perform with or against you all some day!" The girl started and quickly began rambling on. Something about steel being good against fairy, ice being so versatile. Everything that Levy already knew but nodded along with anyway.
"Good luck training your Slush Rush crew! ~ Levy" Levy wrote down before she was returning the pen, still smiling even if it was a little faked.
"Oh my gosh I could cry!" Marcella squealed again, thanking Levy as she actually burst out into what Levy hoped were happy tears. But the waterworks were unsettling Harmony so Levy quickly excused herself so that she could leave.
There, Levy had moved on enough that she could no longer hear, nor see the girl who had still been crying as Levy had made her leave. Harmony still whimpered, Levy noting how the ribbons that swirled around him had shortened. And she could tell the Togepi was distressed with his still soft whimpers. Frowning the bluenette wracked her brain to try and find something to cheer up the young Pokemon.
Sand! Her footing nearly gave away as she stepped on the less stable ground. But this was also perfect! "Harmony, look at this." Levy kneeled down, sitting the baby Pokemon on her lap as she lifted a hand full of sand and let it slip between her fingers. Of course, never seeing anything like it before, the Togepi was instantly mesmerized. Zei barked softly, running over to them quickly to begin digging a hole which had the fairy type giggling and cooing.
Ophi also slithered over, wiggling her body to bury herself partially in the sand. Soon even Harmony was sitting in the sand, flicking it around with his feet and arms (though Zei was helping by kicking sand so the egg bound Pokemon could reach them easier). Now everyone was smiling or giggling.
Or at least everyone in their little group was. Looking up Levy saw two figures down on the beach. And they didn't seem very happy either. They wre both Pokemon, kinds that she knew due to their typing and her own interest in them. An Alomomola right on the edge of the water, watching quietly. And just off from the fish was a little bug, a Wimpod to be specific. Both of which would make some interesting additions to her team. Specifically the Wimpod as that was one she was definitely interested in.
And she knew if she got too close that it would scurry away. Her trio of Pokemon stopped their playing, watching with interest and curiosity as Levy began to dig around in her bag, being careful of the orange egg and noting how it began to really wiggle. It would be hatching soon, so Levy would need to take it out of the bag soon. But she still had enough time to befriend this Wimpod, she just needed to find those pokebeans!
There they were! So holding a finger to her lips she began to crawl her way forward (as undignified the position may be) to get closer to the bug. Of course it still heard her coming, trembling as it stared at her warily. But Levy still gave it plenty of room, holding up one of the pokebeans for the bug to see before tossing it the bug's way. It landed a few feet away from the wimpod, not enough to scare it off. But the Wimpod took an interest in the treat, skittering forward to devour it. Harmony, wondering what was going on waved his arms until he too was handed a bean which he then too tossed in the bug's direction. How could it resist more food? Devouring the second bean it came closer, chittering for more.
"Would you like to be our friend?" Levy asked, offering another bean from her hand this time which was also gobbled down. A few beans were then also offered to the Alomomola before Levy was producing some pokeballs to try and capture the pair.

The Alola . . . Amolo . . . Lololo . . . the big pink fish thing has been caught!
One Poke Ball has been removed from your inventory. That makes two Poke Balls in the general sense, one Poke Ball and one Net Ball in the specific sense.
Both balls shook, and Levy sat there on edge. It was like catching Ophi all over again, only a lot less dangerous and dramatic. Three shakes and the pokeball clicked shut, but the net ball continued to wiggle the longest until it to finally clicked shut. The bluenette stared at it, almost not believing that the latch wasn't about to burst open. She'd done it! Two more partners to call her own!
"Amazing! You did it Levy!" She cheered for herself, her team also crying out in glee and approval before Harmony shrieked out with fear and started crying. Levy, quicker than any momma Pokemon jumped to her darling Togepi's aid. "What's wrong Harmony? We didn't mean to scare you." She soothed, still holding the baby in her lap as she shushed him lightly to try and find out what was wrong. Zei took it upon himself, since Levy hadn't retrieved the balls yet to carefully pick up the balls to bring them to his owner.
Who was now distractedly dealing with a notification from her phone. Too many Pokemon at once? So the Alomomola was whisked away in a beam of light to just leave the Wimpod in her care for now. But what had scared Harmony so terribly? Something jerked against hr side, even startling Levy. But Zei was in front of her, and Ophi was still too far away and covered in sand. That just left... her bag? It gave another hard twitch.
The egg!
Hurrying Levy pulled the other egg out and set it down on the warm sand. It wouldn't be there long judging by how much it was flashing. Several more pulses of light before the egg really began to glow and morph. Then there was an adorable Dedenne sitting in front of Levy, whiskers twitching and long rope like tail flicking as brown eyes opened to see Levy for the first time. "De!" The larger than expected Dedenne squeaked at her before joining Harmony in the space of her lap where the two looked at each other curiously. Levy giggled softly, pulling out her phone again and snapping another picture of the two baby Pokemon as they looked up at the camera.
"The other egg hatched too. Looks like a not so little girl who needs a name. I'm thinking Decibel, got any opinions?" She spoke out loud softly as she texted Elliot.
Alright then! The name met approval from Elliot, and worked with the fact that Joule was the mom (of which Levy was pretty damn certain Beerus was the dad, though Elliot didn't seem to know about the birds and the bees yet). And the Wimpod shall be named Octavia, and the Alomomola Tacet! Musical names!
"Perfect!" Levy clapped as she took in her new team members. She actually had quite a few team members now, and for the most part she had actually had a good day. Both of her eggs had hatched, and she'd caught three new Pokemon. She smiled as she looked down at the two young mons in her lap that were cooing and squealing at each other.
And just when she thought it might be a good idea to think about moving on, she saw something actually sort of scary.
It was a huge Corsola! And we are talking huge as in double the size, with a coloration Levy had not even seen or heard of before. And now it was looking right at her and almost creepily toddling it's way over. Fearing the worst, Levy panicked, grabbing up the baby Pokemon into her arms and hurrying off. It was probably about time she head home anyway if she wanted to be back for dinner. They should do something special for this milestone!
