She is a peppy, cheery, and innocent young girl who is always raring to make a new friend - even if she tends to come across as being a bit clueless, naive, and childish at times. She is always full of boundless energy - no matter the situation - and is always raring to make a new friend with anyone she meets, being an utter social butterfly. On top of this, though, Ettie sometimes is seen displaying strange habits and tendencies; stemming from having grown up among other stray pokemon, particularly canid pokemon. She craves a 'pack' of some form - a group of friends and family that she can call her own - and can quickly grow depressed and despondent when isolated or lonely. In addition to this, she has a habit of making canine-like vocalizations, such as growls, barks, and howling; especially when interacting with other canid pokemon. Even with her quirks and childishness though, Ettie can prove to be a crafty and loyal companion. She has grown up learning to steal for survival; and it's a habit that's been difficult for her to break, the young girl sometimes feeling tempted to steal shiny objects that catch her eye, or otherwise swipe a loaf of bread or a couple fruits when she is feeling hungry. She, additionally, is prone to using these skills of hers to provide for other friends - even if they are the more law abiding sort! However, despite this, Ettie is a good-hearted child who means well. She refuses to steal from those who appear to be down on their luck; preferring to only steal from those who are more on the richer end of the scale, or those who slight her or someone close to her, if she can help it. She, additionally, will never steal from a friend - being deathly loyal to those she considers close, and willing to do just about anything for them. If a friend is upset or hurt, Ettie will do anything in her power to help them - wanting nothing more than for her 'pack' to be happy and healthy. As a result, though Ettie may be childish, strange, and a bit of a sneaky thief... She can also prove to be a loyal friend for life, for those who are willing to put up with her quirks. History Ettie never did know her parents; having ended up separated from them at a very young age during a house fire, from which she was rescued by a gang of wayward children and stray pokemon. She doesn't know her true name, or her origins, as a result. All she knows, was that she she grew up on the streets of Plum City - living amongst other kids and stray pokemon, both of whom had banded together into a gang for survival. She grew up taking after the pokemon who rescued her and looked after her - particularly the canid pokemon - and she grew up learning how to steal and protect herself to get by. Despite not knowing a true family or having a true home, it wasn't all that sad for Ettie; she lived a freespirited and exciting life, and was able to find family in both her gang and in the pokemon she surrounded herself with. In particular, she would most closely bond with a young Rockruff pup that she named Anne - the two of them treating each other like siblings, despite the fact they were human and pokemon. Anne and Ettie, together, would be a tricky duo; the Rockruff keeping her safe from other pokemon and humans and often acting as lookout, while Ettie helped steal food and money to take care of both the two of them, as well as the rest of the gang. This would go on until the gang - eventually - dissolved; a disagreement in leadership and childish grudges causing infighting that would eventually lead to the gang crumbling. Left without a family beyond Anne, and a couple of eggs that she was able to take under her wing, Ettie would eventually make the decision to move on - unsure of what exactly she wanted to look for, but certainly wanting to find a new family to call her own. Goals Ettie, being a free spirit, doesn't have any particular long term goals. However, she... - Wants to grow her pack by taking in new canid pokemon, - And make as many new friends as she can! |
Appearance
Height 4'4" / 132cm Build Androgynous, Lithe, but Fit Hair Color Black Eye Color Red | Ettie is a rather small but athletic girl; standing at 4'4'', with a build that is androgynous and lithe, but otherwise fit - making her look just as much like a young boy as she does a young girl. Her body has little fat to it, and she has the muscles for running and climbing around. Her skin is tanned and a heavy scattering of freckles on her nose, cheeks, and shoulders, and she has big round red eyes, and long messy black hair that is typically kept tied up in a ponytail. As far as clothes go, Ettie tends to wear whatever she can get her hands on while still being able to move around - contributing to her androgynous appearance - being not very picky, otherwise. Regardless of what she wears, however, a few consistent articles include a pair of goggles, an old dirty leather jacket, and bandages that she - oddly - wears around her neck; seeming to be concealing a bite scar on the crook of her neck and shoulder. She, additionally, has the rare couple of faint but tiny scars here and there - seemingly from injuries that she just lacked the proper means to treat. Aura Ettie's aura is a pale - almost white - mix of yellows, oranges, and pinks that mix into an almost salmonish-orange color. It glows brightly as it swirls about Ettie, rippling and sparking with a jittery and giddy energy. This sparking increases and pulses with predominately yellow and pink when Ettie is particularly excited or cheery, and reduces when she is feeling calmer or sleepy. |
