We Vibbin' Quest
Ash City. Marley, honestly, kind of felt at home here. The industrial landscape, the volcano not far away, it reminded him of his home in Motostoke. A part of him wished that they had moved here, but he knew deep down that it wouldn't of helped anyone. His mother needed clean air afterall.
But that was unimportant. What was important was what was going on here and now. Marley had managed to find himself an empty courtyard between a couple of buildings. Before him was his Hitmonlee Leia, Ally the Zorua and Mino the Mr. Mime. The three of them should prove pretty good training.
Ever since his encounter with the Aura pokemon, Marley had been thinking of how he could go about improving his abilities. It hadn't been easy to track them down again, and he didn't really know anyone who knew how to use Aura as well. Then, after making his way through the overpass and arriving in Ash, did Marley decide to try and take matters into his own hands. After all, he knew he had the ability, and he had developed the ability to see the Aura, even if it was very feintly. Perhaps he could work from there, training himself in order to improve. That made sense. After all, Aura was a skill, wasn't it? You had to work at it to get better at it.
He had stopped at a library before coming down here, looking for any information on Aura. There seemed to be many different things about it. Sensing people, hardening your body, superhuman feats, even being able to project your aura like an attack. He had heard of the attack Aura Sphere, so maybe it was something like that. Marley could imagine himself throwing Aura balls around the place. He just needed to figure out how to do it. And really, it made sense that if he was in a tense situation, it might cause his Aura to come out. Just a thought.
"Ok guys, I know this is goin' to sound wierd, but I need you three to fight me." The three pokemon looked at their trainer, clearly surprised by this request. Sure, Marley had initially sparred with Marley, but they were getting the feeling that this wasn't just a regular sparring match. "Ok, obviously I don't want you guys to kill me or somethin'. Just fight to try and hurt me. This whole trainin' thing ain't going to work if it's easy you know." Leia was an obvious choice. She was a pokemon that could use Aura as well. Ally, well, she was Ally, and Mino was a bit of a tank. He could handle this sort of thing. "I'll let you guys know when to stop. But until then, don't hold back, ok?" The pokemon looked at eachother uneasily. All except Leia. She knew what this was all about.
Marley put himself some distance from his pokemon, taking a deep breath. "Ok you lot, come at me!"
The pokemon hesitated for a moment, and then charged at him.
