[attr="class","christelletext"] It was Torrent who grabbed her attention. There was a Skiddo not far from them, just staring at them. Actually, it looks like he might have even been following them for some time. Why hadn't she realized that? Oh right, there were so many aura's out right now that it made things difficult. So, instead of being mad at that little factor, she instead smiled and walked over to the Skiddo. She looked at him before she nodded lightly. "You know, you would make a great addition to my team. What do you say? Want a home where you will always be taken care of?" Torrent floated behind her, he seemed to be ready to attack just in case the Skiddo didn't feel like being befriended. This made Christelle a little nervous, but there was truly nothing that she was going to be able to do to stop it.

It was early into Clementine's decision to explore more of Arciel instead of heading back to her farm, but how else was she going to learn more about pokemon? The education was worth it, and she wanted to prove that an old dog could learn new tricks.
Back in town Granny had heard of a skiddo swarm on this route. After asking what a skiddo swarm was, and having it be explained to her in three different ways, she was eager to experience it for herself.
Edwin was out and on high alert, with an eager Margaret on his back. While Clementine wanted to build up Margaret's strength, she thought the swarm would be too much for the Cubone.
The three of them all seemed eager to to add a Skiddo to their team. Edwin wanted a new friend, Margaret wanted to see if they had masks too, and Clementine wanted another pokemon that could help her around on the farm... whenever she made it back there.

Where there was once nothing, the skiddo swarm came in. Suddenly there were pokemon everywhere, and Clementine felt overwhelmed at the sight. Seeing her nervous, Edwin stepped closer to her protectively. Feeling his soft fur behind her, she climbed on his back and went to pet Margaret -- only to find she had jumped off at the first sight of a skiddo.
It seems the troublesome cubone had decided to target a small skiddo that had wandered away from a group of them. Without instruction, Margaret let out a growl and proceeded to use Double Kick on the poor, unaware skiddo.
"Margaret, stop!" Clementine called, rushing to grab a pokeball before any more damage could be done. While she was searching, the skiddo landed a solid Tackle on Margaret, and the cubone fell back from surprise. Before the determined cubone could attack again, Granny tossed an empty (regular) pokeball at the skiddo. 'I hope I'm doing this right...' She thought to herself as she sent the ball flying.

"Ugghh...arriver à Plum City va être tellement ennuyant..."
Senara was going along the long, long road between Pine City and the Weeping Forest, but not for travelling purposes. Sure long walks along the lovely mountains was great for brainstorming and planning and such, and at twilight it was practically devoid of people, yet the real reason she'd come out wasn't for sight-seeing. No no no. When she'd seen news that a gathering of Skiddo were in the area, she'd booked it. She had plans, dang it! Plans that involved her expanding her collection of jewels and gems! Sure, she could do that just by staying in Pine and mining away, but there was something missing from making actual use of her knowledge and time...thrill! She was missing thrill! Thrill only came when she was getting these gems in a slightly less-than-legal way. And she had a reputation to keep pristine in Pine that she couldn't risk by being caught stealing.
So since Plum was the entertainment capital of Arciel, she had to get there, ASAP. There would be so many contests there, so many luxuries, that it would be worth the crowds. It would not, however, be worth spending months to get to on foot. Hence, she needed to get her hands on a Pokemon she could ride out to the city. Skiddo were, alas, quite small on their own--barely three feet tall on average. But she was tiny, too! And maybe she could work on evolving it into a Gogoat by the time she got to Cedar.
She stopped walking along the path, squinting up at a nearby ledge, and lowered her hand to her purse, where her pokeballs and an-out-of-ball sleeping Joujou were (Baby Girl wasn't going to be out in the sun thank you very much). She could have sworn she'd seen something scaling the cliff-side. It could have just been a Geodude rolling by, but...
I hope it's a good one...I wouldn't put Skiddo on my party if I didn't need to, but it could at least be strong enough to warrant keeping around, asides from riding.

Don't worry, she'll learn to love the adorable goat. <3

Yep, that was a Skiddo alright, in all its weird leafy goodness. Senara pulled from her purse a luxury ball decorated with pale blue and purple rhinestones, bouncing it once in her palm before she threw it out toward the Skiddo. Poison had an advantage on Grass, right? She wasn't really familiar with Grass-type, just from their association with a certain other type she hated. But this one was safe, right? "Reine, Poison Sting it!"
From the ball a burst of white light shot out, taking the form of a somewhat larger than average female Nidoran, which sniffed the air before looking back at Senara with a cold look. Ah. That was still a thing. The Skiddo was, thankfully, surprised enough by the sudden appearance of an enemy that it ran right up to Reine, not giving her a chance to brush off Senara's request. From the "scarf" of leafs around its neck two long vines grew and rushed Reine from the side. She hunkered down and positioned herself so the horns and spines atop her head would meet the vines on impact, her poison seeping in through the slightest contact. The Skiddo cried out and leaped back, vines retreating.
Now that it was poisoned, she took another plain pokeball from her bag. "Reine, actually use Poison Sting this time, then I'll go for a catch!" The Nidoran stared at her again. Senara let out a long sigh. "Look, it's either you, and you get stronger, or I get another Pokemon to do it. So get off your moral high-ground and do something??"
Reine growled, but all the same turned and lunged for the Skiddo head-first, driving its horn once again into its chest. The Skiddo in turn spat out a few green seeds into her fur, which she growled at and tried to shake off, but the Leech Seed had landed. A few hits from that at her level against the Skiddo and she'd be out. Her window was closing.
Goddamn grumpy guinea pig, can't even dodge...
Senara threw out the pokeball at the poisoned goat all the same.

Early morning was the best time to walk in nature.
It was a shame, really, that Jules was very much not a morning person. But it was "healthy" or something. So he was out, maybe not exercising, but at least strolling and appreciating the effervescent wildlife of dawn.
That said... Jules had wandered this way in hopes of continuing to be lazy. He didn't know about skiddo, but if he trained with it -- something he'd have to do anyway, if he was to start exploring -- then eventually it would be a gogoat, known for their ride-ability. Not as elegant as something like a rapidash, but as Jules intended to go off-road, the sure footed nature of a gogoat could only be a boon.
But first, he'd have to find one. There was meant to be a swarm around here, so it shouldn't be too hard, but... well, the other reason Jules came at dawn was that he didn't want to wait too long before starting back towards Ivy Town.

Sid liked Skiddo, or rather, they liked Gogoat that evolved from Skiddo. The thought of riding one fully armored into battle was a LARPers dream, and it just so happened that that dream was attainable now with a swarm on the horizon. Sid had been lucky enough to hear about it when they did and act as quick as they did. They were also just lucky enough to be on this side of Arciel where the swarms were. Anyways…
They were walking around now humming softly to themselves, their red eyes searching for the signature leafy mane of a Skiddo. They hoped it wouldn’t be too much trouble to find, but with the sky being so overcast, they might have settled down into the taller grass or something. They just had to be vigilant! They’d find one at least!
Sid didn’t even see the Skiddo until they were right up on it. They were expecting to see the familiar rustling green or even a lighter more vibrant green. Thus, when they passed what was essentially a red pile of leaves to them, they hadn’t even registered it was alive— let alone that it would move. As the Skiddo suddenly stood, Sid was backing up quickly. “W-w-woah…” How beautiful? Honestly incredible.
Sid shifted from one foot to the other. “I have been blessed to find a rare forest spirit…” they spoke to themselves before slowly stepping forward again. The Skiddo backed up, and they stopped walking. “Ah, apologies, powerful one….” They smiled a little. The Skiddo slowly tilted his head from one side to the other. What was with this strange human and their stranger words and tone? A small call escaped from him. Were they going to challenge him or not? Sid blinked a moment before remembering. Pokemon were fighters by nature.
But I don’t want to fight something so majestic… Sid let out a soft breath. “I wish to be your friend, oh forest spirit…” They spoke softly. “Would you offer me the chance?” They asked fishing out a Pokeball and holding it forward.
Why did it have to be wind. Arceus, it seemed that the weather was intent on messing with him as Koray fought to keep Elanor safe. It was not the ideal day to be searching for Skiddo with a Litwick, apparently. Of course a little wind wasn't going to dissuade Koray from attempting such a feat, even it meant carrying Elanor the entire way. Holding the Litwick close, he tried to soothe the anxious Litwick but could only pray that they reached the area soon.
"It's ok, Elanor... I got you," Koray encouraged, holding the trembling Litwick close, "See? The wind's even dying down some, you're safe." Besides, the Litwick's flame didn't exactly run on fuel. Maybe she was just scared of wind storms? That was a valid reason to be scared, he supposed. "Come on, Elanor... we're supposed to be looking for Skiddo, remember?" The sooner they found what they were looking for, the sooner they could leave and go back home.
Thankfully they didn't have long to wait for a Skiddo to show up prancing around in the little bit of wind like this was nothing. Was it his imagination or was the Skiddo purposefully rubbing the fact that a little wind didn't scare him in Elanor's face. With a glint in his eye, the Skiddo stood proudly as if showing off. Elanor had enough of the Skiddo and jumped out of Koray's arms. A little wind was nothing! She was fine! Just... fine... yeah. While Koray was admittedly surprised at the sudden bravery by Elanor, he had to admit that the Skiddo was quite cocky. How fun...
Laughing a little, Koray gestured towards the Skiddo. "Let's show him what we've got, ok Elanor?" The Litwick responded with a cry of agreement and rushed forward, already using Smog to both mask her presence and attempt to poison the Skiddo. The Skiddo winced at the sudden field of poisonous gas, already feeling pretty badly. Elanor wasn't done yet however and used Ember. The Vine Whip done in retaliation didn't do much aside from annoy Elanor who followed up with another Ember.
Koray was...admittedly surprised at how vindictive the usually sweet Elanor was and tossed a pokeball at the struggling Skiddo. Hopefully Koray would be able to save him from further embarrassment.
