Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
Swarms close at 11:59pm on the last day of each month. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
Having wandered several areas of West Arciel, Shalin's team was rapidly growing. One thing she was missing, though, was an aquatic Pokémon. So far, none of the ones she'd seen along the coastline suited her. That is, until she got word of a large school of Feebas populating the coastline. Tracking Feebas down in their homeland, Hoenn, was tremendously difficult even if you knew where to look. The reward, though, was well worth it. Milotic weren't the swiftest Pokémon in the sea, but they were fast enough. It was her primary aquatic Pokémon during her trip through Hoenn, and their long, powerful tails let them gracefully leap in and out of the water.
Not getting too lost in her daydream, she stayed alert for the patch of coastline described on a notice outside Cedar Town's north Pokémon Center, where she had heard about the unusual grouping of the elusive Pokémon.

There was a large school of Feebas swimming downstream, but one in particular caught her eye - there was one that was absolutely massive - almost trophy-worthy. Its sheer size would make it prohibitive to use for crossing smaller bodies of water, but she could always capture another aquatic Pokémon for that, especially with all the time she'd be spending traveling over the ocean. With the right equipment, even the realm beneath the surface would be open to her.
She needed a way to separate her quarry from the school, though. Wracking her brain for a bit, the best she could come up with was a combination of Prance and one of her newer Pokémon. With her team lacking ranged attacks--a big mistake on her part--she had to go for this indirect approach. Prance ran in front of the school, the orbs in the center of her antlers glowing a violet color. The large Feebas went belly up, lagging behind the rest of the school in its unconsciousness.
Shalin eyed a large rock jutting out from the water's surface in front of where the large water-type floated, lobbing Kiku's Poké Ball directly toward it. Once the school was well out of range, she gave the command to use Poison Gas, making sure she was standing upwind. Shortly after Kiku...well, passed a gas cloud, Shalin had second thoughts about keeping such a Pokémon on her team. While she felt she needed a Poison-type on her team, something like Seviper may have been a petter choice of mount than this. A bit late for that, though.
Once Shalin saw the edges of the Feebas' fins change color from blue to violet, she lobbed an empty Poké Ball at the Water-type, crossing her fingers...

It was moments after Tau had let it slip that he's heading on Route 2 to his mom that she insisted he check out the feebas swarm she heard about. Despite only being on a phone call, he had felt her passion in her insistance. He tried to argue that feebas were ugly things, but his mom quickly replied by explaining their evolution. He was quietly sold on it, but was too stubborn to say so, and quickly talked his way out of the conversation the best he could.
And a half an hour later of talking, he was finally on route 2 and had Emem out with him in preparation for another swarm. This was no longer their first rodeo, so they were both prepared for where ever this swarm currently was.
It didn't take long for a feebas to show up, but it was strange looking. Was it ill? Tau's mom told him what colors a feebas should be, and whatever that was definitely wasn't it. Well, whatever. If it was sick it'd just have to survive long enough to get better. "Emem, see that thing? Weaken it." Tau ordered simply.
Emem didn't hesitate much, and quickly attacked the feebas with a Quick Attack. The wild pokemon's Splash did little damage, and the battle was a back and fourth of a Quick Attack and a Splash for a few rounds. When the feebas didn't come back with a Splash attack, Tau ordered Emem to step back. The Blitzle did so eagerly, feeling bad for a pokemon that didn't really fight back. Tau then threw a pokeball at it in hopes to have gained a new team member.
Summary: Attempting to capture an injured Feebas with a regular pokeball
Soph was checking out a little bit of Route 2. It was a windy day, which made it actually quite cold out so she was bundled up with mittens, a scarf, a thick jacket, and boots. At least the sun was out, so when the wind wasn't whipping at her, she was pretty warm. Normally, she'd have a Pokemon travel along beside her but this time she didn't, due to the weather. She figured her Bunnelby, Dacus, could probably withstand the cold with his fur, or her Tepig, Geo, due to his fire typing, but she didn't want to risk it.
She actually hadn't even looked into anything special going on around these parts before heading off so she was unaware of the Feebas swarm, but let's see what jumps out at her!

Attempting capture with Pokeball! Aron Egg Post: 2/10

With her feet taking her toward a stream, Soph honestly didn't expect to find anything but found herself surprised. A Feebas flopped in a shallow part of the water, leaving the girl very concerned. It was so cold, after all, and there were some ice crystals in the water. Finding the quickest and least treacherous way to get to the Pokemon, she lifted her and brought her out of the water. She wanted to make sure she didn't see any injuries on her before she would try putting her back in the water. Unfortunately, Soph did see some scrapes and so, a little panicked, she pulled out a Pokeball.
"I know you don't know me, little one, but you... well, you look a little hurt and with it being so cold, I want to make sure you don't freeze or get dehydrated on the way to the Pokemon Center to get you checked on. Please go ahead and get in this Pokeball? It will keep you nice and wet while still being warm. Once you're checked, we'll find a good place for you to go, okay?" She held out the sphere hopefully.
Route 2 seemed quiet, serene even. It was a nice day to try and go fishing which meant that this time Tide would get a chance to shine and the Oshawott was raring to go, bouncing by Jazz's side while throwing a few air punches every once in a while. It was cute to see the tiny Oshawott so excited, but the point was to catch a Feebas and not to train all day. He swore he'd told Tide this, but the Oshawott could be a bit thick headed when he wanted to be. Well, he supposed that was the best he could expect from Tide right then.
"You ready, Tide? Remember, we need to find the Feebas first. Don't attack everything you see." Tide seemed to understand, hopefully? And... there he went already jumping in the water. Sigh. Arceus help him with these troublesome pokemon. Hopefully Tide would actually listen to him this time but that remained to be seen.
With Tide underwater, it was hard for Jazz to see exactly what was going on. The water was clear enough, certainly but it was still problematic to say the least of things. Please let him listen to me... Whether or not the Oshawott would do such a thing was a mystery even to Jazz. Judging by the amount of bubbles coming from under the surface, it looked like Tide had found a Feebas... that or some other unfortunate passerby that had happened to be in his way.
Thankfully, Tide had managed to get the Feebas to chase him to the surface, beaming with pride as he showed Jazz just how well he'd done. Jazz couldn't help but smile, relaxing only slightly as he laughed and gestured for the Oshawott to continue. A happy cry would be heard before Tide lunged forward with a Tackle followed shortly by an Aqua Tail. The Feebas was sent spinning away from Tide, surprised that such a small friend would start a battle. Retaliating with her own tackle, the Feebas sent Tide reeling backwards as well before he attacked with a Water Gun.
Several rounds of this back and forth would commence before it seemed Tide had tired out the Feebas enough. Telling Tide to wait, Jazz threw a pokeball and waited to see what would happen.

A shivering blue Pokemon stood next to her trainer, carrying a purse. The trainer carried nothing and seemed to be disgusted with the wet leaves littering the ground. "Khione." The Pokemon looked up as Magnolia spoke her name. "We came here for a Feebas. Please find one for me."
The sparkling Snorunt waddled up to the river and looked down into it. She saw many Pokemon flash past, living their lives under the water and paying no mind to her. She spotted what she was looking for, then lifted the purse off of her body, prompting Magnolia to grab it with her telekinesis so it wouldn't touch the ground, then waded into the water, sneaking up on the fish Pokemon she had her eye on.

The fish splashed around, oblivious of the Snorunt creeping up, until Khione used Powder Snow to strike it. HMEnjA_Op_ The confused Feebas flipped around, utilizing its tail for a Splash attack, doing absolutely nothing to Khione. She used Powder Snow again, which while not very effective, still did some damage. p_ The fish Pokemon attacked again with Splash, still doing nothing. This was almost unfair to the wild Pokemon, but Khione was doing this for Magnolia, so she would keep it up until the Pokemon could be caught! She hit the Pokemon with Astonish, attempting to cause it to flinch. p_ Feebas Splashed feebly, trying to get away while Khione struck it with a Hex to weaken it further. The shining Snorunt called out to her trainer, who struggled to levitate a ball out of her bag, dropping her bag on the ground but managing to lift and throw a Poke Ball at the wild Feebas.
