To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
Swarms close at 11:59pm on the last day of each month. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
A Stufful swarm… Gabe liked Stufful. They were soft, cute, pink, and violent as hell. He liked Bewear as well even if it wasn’t as cute as Stufful was. He just had to have one even as he walked around searching for any signs of the soft bear Pokemon.
He wore warm clothing this time and a backpack to keep the Growlithe and Zorua eggs that he had on hand safe and warm for the time being. A Pokeball was already between his fingers, though, ready for immediate release when he caught sight of a Stufful. For now, though, he wouldn’t waste anyone’s energy just yet.
The glisten of yellow didn’t register immediately with Gabe, but the twitch of white ears and the roll of a dark body as the Bewear leaned out of the brush was more than enough to have him immediately backpedaling. “FFFFFF!!!!”
Nope nope nope nope Gabe’s hand immediately reached for a Pokeball, and in a blaze of light, Hariette the Alakazam came forth. She blinked a little surprised to see the wild Pokemon in front of her and then looked back at Gabe with a questioning look. “Sorry, I know this isn’t training, but Bewear are—HARI!“ She looked forward again only to realize the Bewear was coming at her. A Reflect burst forth just as the Bewear came down with a Thrash cracking right into the glass and having her wince. Gabe winced as well.
<I suppose it can’t be helped…> Hari’s projected thoughts rattled in Gabe’s mind for a moment causing him to grimace before nodding. Without order, the Alakazam swiped back releasing a Psybeam at the Bewear that blew passed her own barrier and sent the massive monstrosity flying backwards for a moment.
“Be careful, they know Pain Split a lot of the time,” Gabe commented.
<Don’t use Recover then, I understand.> The Alakazam released another Psybeam at the Bewear as it came Thrashing up against the glass again. It tripped back again, and this time Gabe threw a Pokeball.
Despite his excitement to find the shiny-like Stufful he had heard about Adian found himself a bit hesitant as he entered route six. Back home he had run into a trainer with an unruly Bewear and it had left a rather bad impression on him. The large fighting type had wrecked some serious havoc in the little Inn he had been staying at and had managed to, if he admitted it to himself, scare him.
So as he set out, camera in hand along route six he couldn't help but feel a tinge of fear at the possibility of running into another one of the large beasts. Adian couldn't blame the fighting type for how it acted but he couldn't deny the fear it brought.
Even so he bravely marched his way through route six. He would find himself the oddly colored pokemon come hell or highwater.
Amell's parents bragged quite a bit about their stufful and bewear pokemon, noting in great detail the uses of working out with one of the two pokemon. Their stuffed animal appearance wasn't really to his taste at first, but after getting bodied in a boxing ring by a bewear a few times, they started to grow on him.
Once the stufful swarm hit route 6, the word spread quickly in weight training and wrestling communities. Once he was done training his clients for the day, he made his way onto the rumored swarmed route with his prized ally, Ana the Hawlucha. While she's not as strong as he'd like, her enthusiasm and shared interest in wrestling made them a close team.
"Be perceptive, Ana," Amell said, in his usual deep voice, "We want to catch a stufful of our own to train with us." Ana took the order well, and the two started keeping an eye out for a good target.
For the second time in his quest to hunt down swarming pokemon he was presented with a perfectly ordinary pokemon, happily lounging along the route. Having been at it for hours the man sighed and ran an irritated hand through his hair. Looking around with the last shred of hope he had Adian realized this was it - he either took the pokemon in front of him or went home empty handed. And of course, he had no intention of doing that.
Fishing around in his pockets Adian would throw up Leafeon's pokeball, watching the grass type exploded in a flash of light before his eyes. "You ready for a battle? Swift at the Stufful!" Adian commanded. His pokemon would spring into action, the quick move stunning and surprising the fighting type who had seemed at peace laying in the grass.
Realizing the battle was on the Stufful would return with a tackle attack. So for the next few rounds the two pokemon would go at it, tackling and swifting at each other until both pokemon were left exhausted and panting, on their last legs. Adian had come here to capture either a pokemon or a good picture and he planned to come home with one of them.

"Well, shit." Adian said, somewhat annoyed when the pokeball would shake for a moment then release the Stufful. The fighting type would stare defiantly up at the trainer as it picked up the great ball and tossed it back to Adian. For a moment he would consider sending out a second pokemon and simply knocking out the enraging fighting type that was doing its' best to cement his hatred for the entire species.
Considering his next move carefully as he picked up the great ball that now sat at his feet he realized it was still viable. May as well try again, right? Surely fighting the pokeball would weaken it some more. Sticking his tongue out rather childishly Adian would toss it back at the Stufful, mentally crossing his fingers. If it broke free again he wasn't sure what he'd do.

It didn't take long for a stufful to meet eyes with Ana, And she immediatly went into battle mode. She didn't hesitate to attack with a Karate Chop to start the battle, which was both super effective and a critical hit. The stufful was struggling before it started, and fumbled it's way through a weak Tackle at Ana. It hit, but not as well as compared to the hawlucha's hit.
Amell saw the fight left in the stufful despite being hit so seriously so quickly, and felt some pride at seeing it still stand up despite being so injured so quickly. "Rest, Ana!" Amell ordered, and Ana stepped back as she was told. He threw a regular pokeball at the stufful, hoping to catch the tiny thing with the courage of a Vogel.

Stufful were probably among the few Pokemon that Jazz didn't mind. They were cute enough, deceitfully even and could certainly pack a punch. He knew that whoever was going to get this little treasure would enjoy it... well, hopefully. If not, well, he could always take it back and train it himself. Feather was out with him again, enjoying the freedom that came with being out. "Don't go too far now, Feather," Jazz called, smiling as the Pidgey chirped again. She really was a good helper, and such a calm Pokemon when compared to some of the ones he'd caught along the way. Now... where are you hiding, Stufful...
Feather spotted the Stufful before Jazz did and this time didn't hesitate before using a Wing Attack against the bear. Jazz had to smile at the Pidgey's intuition. A fighting pokemon like the Stufful was better to catch it off guard, especially given the reaction was to try a Payback. Huh. Well, it might have worked if Feather wasn't flying high in the air. And... the Stufful was climbing a tree. Well wasn't this one a brave one?
"Quick! Use Gust!" Jazz called out, alerting Feather to the Stufful's plan. A chirp was given in acknowledgement before she used Gust, making the Stufful fall out of the tree. She tried to use Leer, but Feather wasn't one to be intimidated that easily and used another Gust, sending the Stufful crashing into another tree.
A low growl was heard before the Stufful opted to turn her rage onto Jazz. Shit. "Feather! Wing Attack!" Jazz called out frantically as he started running from the bear that was dead set on using Payback on him this time. The Pidgey let out an angry cry before swooping down to hit the Stufful with a Wing Attack. Hit by so many super effective moves, the Stufful was clearly struggling to stand. Jazz took the opportunity to throw a pokeball at the Stufful while Feather perched on his shoulder, ready to fight again if need be.
This time, Koray was looking for a small bear called a Stufful with Freda by his side. That Absol was alert, checking her surroundings for any sign of danger. Stufful were known to be violent after all and she wasn't about to let Koray get hurt on this more dangerous mission. "Relax, Freda. We'll be fine. I trust you," Koray mused, putting a hand on the Absol's shoulder. Freda didn't look convinced, but she let out a low hmph sound and nuzzled Koray. Ok, ok... she just wanted to make sure he stayed safe, that was all.
