Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Three optional icebreaker questions are offered: 1. If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it? 2. Besides war and diplomacy, what would be the best way for countries to settle disputes? 3. What is one article of clothing that someone could wear that would make you walk out on a date with them?
Feel free to discuss any of these or use your own icebreaker!
Jazz was pleasantly surprised to get the name of their next date. Shea. Didn't they have them for Secret Santa? Hmm, it would be nice to verify with them of course but hey, this could be fun~. Sitting down at the table, Jazz waited to see when their date would arrive. From the looks of the name tag across from them, it looked like the same name they'd been given. What are the odds.
Scanning the icebreakers, Jazz didn't think they were quite as fun as the last round. For whatever reason they felt a little more personal and it was hard to think of an answer for the second question especially. Well, maybe we can talk about something else~. These thoughts were interrupted as Jazz spotted someone coming over to the table, oh hello~. They were pretty cute actually~. "How nice to meet you at last, Shea~," Jazz mused, giving a slight bow in the process, "My name is Jazz and I believe I had the pleasure of being your Secret Santa~. How are the dears doing, by the way~?" they continued, pulling out Shea's chair for them before sitting down in their own seat.
[attr="class","shea"] Shea was still blushing a little from their last interaction with Gabe. Whatever had spooked him, they hoped it wound up being all right. He deserved to have fun today! Though they supposed they had to admit, they wouldn't be heartbroken if they were the only person he got to date today. Still, they weren't too much of the jealous type either, so they guessed it was fine either way, but whatever the case they hoped Gabe was okay. That was most important.
The enby was met with a rather odd greeting when they arrived at the table. Meet at last? What was this dude, a stalker? At the explanation, though, Shea calmed a bit, despite some confusion. "Huh?" The speed dates only gave their first names, right? "You sure it wasn't a different Shea?" Sure it wasn't the most common name, but it wasn't the most unique either. "Er... Did you send... a Stufful, Snubbull, Snom, and a Milcery egg? With some other stuff?" Before answering they wanted to make sure this wasn't a misunderstanding.
Oh dear, it seemed that their greeting had been more off putting than Jazz had intended. Of course, it had been a leap of faith to ask that way. Ah well, if they were wrong they could just laugh it off as a joke and go on. "Mmm, perhaps it could've been..." Jazz acquiesced, well, at least until Shea listed off the things they received. A brighter smile came across Jazz's features before they gave a nod, "I did indeed send those~. I hope they're behaving themselves. The Snubbull was a little bit of a handful," they continued, humming softly.
"You look cute by the way~,"Jazz mused, propping their chin in his palm as they leaned forward a little, "Though... I think something's wrong with my eyes because I can't take them off of you~." Maybe pickup lines were from last round, but at the same time, it would be something to get a laugh out of Shea possibly. If not, they'd wave it off and move on. This date was meant to be fun, and what was a date without some sort of pun or pickup line~.
[attr="class","shea"] Shea's face lit up a bit in pleasant surprise when Jazz confirmed he was indeed the Secret Santa in question. It was still a little weird that he'd assumed as much, but hey, he was right! "They're all doing great!" Shea said. "I haven't been training much lately, but they all integrated into my team really well. And the Milcery!" Shea clasped their hands together and squealed. "TINY! She's the absolute cutest baby and I love her!" They still needed to evolve her, but it was so tempting to keep her so teensy and adorable for a little longer.
They beamed at the compliment. "Why thank you!" But huh? Something wrong with his eyes? "Hm?" ... Shea snorted. "I don't see how that's a problem. I'm adorable, after all~!" They struck a pose in their seat, giving Jazz a wink. "You're pretty easy on the eyes yourself, though. Loving the makeup, and the hair!" Which reminded them! "Of course, anyone who picked out those nice clothes for my gift would have a good sense of style. Thanks a lot!" They giggled softly.
Seeing Shea's face light up was reward in and of itself and the confirmation that Jazz needed to know that they'd been right. As Shea started to explain, Jazz listened, smiling at hearing that the pokemon they'd caught were getting along just fine and the awwww, a tiny Milcery~. "That sounds absolutely adorable~, I'm glad to hear they've settled in nicely," Jazz grinned, opting to continue with a compliment and pick up line thereafter.
The laugh the pick up line elicited earned a soft chuckle especially when it seemed Shea was pretty confident in their appearance. When the compliment was returned, Jazz winked right back, posing briefly as well. They were especially glad that someone noticed the effort they had put into their hair and makeup and beamed back at Shea. "Thanks~, nice of you to notice. I try, but sometimes the hair wins the battle, you know?" Jazz might've blushed a little at the following compliment regarding their sense of style. Considering they'd been experimenting with different looks and presentation it was great to have someone valid their efforts.
"Oh you like them? That's great! It was a nice aesthetic and honestly? I miiiight've gotten a matching outfit in my size too. Sometimes I just like looking cute," Jazz hummed, grinning as Shea giggled, "Speaking of clothes, what's one article of clothing that someone could wear that would make you walk out on a date with them?" Ice breakers were fun and that felt like as good a segue as any.
