Scarlett was in a mood. A mood where she had had enough of everbodies dramatic bullshit. Elise wasn't talking to her and most of her family seemed to be sending her sour looked or just flat out acting asshole-y, as expected. It was always Scarlett's fault, always! In reality, it was her mums fault. For just falt out existing and acting like she gave a shit. It was obvious after that night that Scarlett probably should spend a few days away from home, so she'd pakced up a suitcase and just straight up left, cancelled all her shifts at work and crashing at Chinami's parents place without so much as a warning...
...but then Chinami got pissed at her for whatever reason and here she was, sporting some ripped grungy crop top for some unknown rpck band and with her hair pulled up tightly in a messy bun, on her way to Birch to scream out her sorrows at some concert by nobodies. ...And she was probably going to get fucking smashed. She needed a damn break. If Chinami didn't want her around because she was 'not thinking of peoples feelings' then she'd take a night to herself.. but first she actually had to get to Birch. It was much easier now that she actualy had pokemon, though they were probably the worst match for her.
Asher trotted alongside her, the Bulbsaur happy to just trek along the path and take in the sights around him. He was a happy dude, always happy and willing- Scarlett didn't get how people could just be so damn happy all the time, but it was whatever. Asher could do what he wanted, as long as he stayed by her side and helped her when he was needed. Meanwhile... Delilah was another story.
The Mankey from the moment she was released clung to Scarlett like letting go of her would be the end of the world as she knew it. Every little gust of wind had her crying into the girls crop and had a groan of frustration leaving Scarlett's mouth. The tiny thing was lucky she was so cute, otherwise Scarlett wouldn't be able to put up with her. .Right now she was crying because the ripped edge of Scarlett's crop had tickled her nose and she didn't like it- or at least that's what the blonde thought?? She didn't know pokemon and their emotions!
But whatever. What-fucking-ever. Scarlett dragged a few fingers through the Mankey's fur in an attempt to calm the tiny creature down, frown painting her features with dull annoyance. The sooner she got to Birch, the sooner she could scream at the top of her lungs and down some good ol' tequila.
Fuck promising Chinami she'd only drink when around her. Scarlett could do what she wanted.

Scarlett was taking a walk. She was frustrated and reall, just wanted to get Delilah used to the outdoors. The tiny Mankey cried at everything- passing smells, strange noises, Scarlett walking waaay too fast for comfort. Each timeScarlett would attempt to gently pat the pokemons back and fight off telling her to toughen up. Chi had told her this morning she had seen something peculiar down on the route, a flower-like pokemon who... didn't have the normal colourations.
Needless to say, this had drawn Scarlett in. Maybe she could get like, some battle training or something in with Delilah on top of helping her adjust to the world around her? Surely it was a good idea, right? The softly whimpering Delilah was patted ever so slightly- it could be a good idea... or it could be a lead yp to a massive disaster. Only time would tell.
((accidentally edited this but scarlett attempted to catch the dedenne))

As the Dedenne escaped it's ball, and further the area Scarlett and co were in. The girl just huffed, eyes watching the huge pokemon run off before turning instead to survey Asher incase of any wounds, thankful to see none. He was a tough Bulbasaur. Scarlett shrugged her shoulders a little at Asher's curious glance before continuing forth. She had a concert to go to-
Another chime from her phone. Delilah seemed to be softly whimpering but he loud cries had calmed down, she was more curious then anything at... what that oddly calming chime was. Scarlett let out a frustrated sigh- what did Chi want? One hand moved to hold Delilah as gently as she could to her chest while she fished out her phone, clicking into her messages and... oh...
Scarlett squinted at the words for a moment, before a scoff left her. She wasn't mad? She sounded pretty damn mad the thirtieth time Scarlett brought up how much of a bitch her mum was. But damn it, Chi's stupid flower allegories or... whatever they were... were just so bloody cute, as pissed as Scarlett was at Chi, and her family, and life, she could still see the sincerity in her fiance's words. She was soft, she was nice. And she didn't like Scarlett when she got irrational... but... Screamo... A loud 'tsk' then left Scarlett before ehr fingers danced upon the virtual keyboard. They'd talk later.
It wasn't two seconds later that a ringtone (first 30 seconds) filled the air, startling Delilah and causing Scarlett to let out a groan. Chinami! Why?! Asher, sensing her annoyance tapped a nose gently against her calve, but Scarlett ignored him for now as she pressed the green answering button- she'd just get sad if Scarlett didn't answer...
"...chi-" Her initial greeting was cut off by the girls words. "Scarlett! Why are you in Birch? I told you i'd be coming back in a few hours..." Another sigh, this time from Chinami. Scarlett brought her phone slightly away from her ear and stared around her for a moment. Delilah had shifted to hoist herself into a piggy-back style position and clung to Scarlett's neck, and one of Scarlett's hands had moved to keep her steady. "I saw cheap tickets for Blood Machine and I needed time to breathe and shit." "Yeah but-""Chi, after all my family were goddamn pissed at me I really didn't need anybody else to be, I get that you were concerned or whatever but-"
"I was just saying you have to go back there sometime! It's not healthy to let your resentment build up, if we're going to get ma-" Scarlett cut her off again, insistant. "I said we'd talk about this later babe. I'm gonna go to Bloog Machine, yell my lungs out, and then we'll talk about like... all... the stuff later. I can't deal with it right now."
...There was silence. For a few seconds. Scarlett drew her phone back and stared at it, thinking for a moment her fiance hung up on her, only for a response to come through. "I understand. I hope the concert makes your flowers bloom more, love. I'll talk to you later- be safe, okay?""Yea duh.""Love you...""Love ya."

With that sorted out, Scarlett moved to pocket her phone. She adored Chinami but right now... a screamo concert was what she needed. She knew she couldn't bring Asher and 'Lilah in, but walking with them, even as Delilah quivered in her arms and Asher attempted to stare at those who bypassed Scarlett with judging glares to shush them, was helping a tiny bit. Scarlett speaking to Chi over the phone seemed to have confused Delilah slighty, as the pokemon pulled back from clutching to her to stare at her face, eyes wet.
Scarlett stares back. She blinked. Delilah blinked. "I was talking to Chi, Lilah." Her words didn't seem to calm Delilah, who just shook a little. Chi?? Uh.... what was this pokemons issue? Scarlett wasn't a soft person, she wasn't the best at being nice to like... anything, except maybe Chi on her best days. So, with a sigh, she tried again.
"I dunno whats up with you, and it's freaking me out. But... you're good?" Scarlett had no idea what she was saying, but perhaps it was her softer tone of voice that had Delilah curling back into her, nestling her face into her shirt and... not crying!? Oh?? Oh?? That was probably good, right?
