"Yeah, like that, keep your guard up!" Agate shouted at his Pokemon... for onlooker, this might looks like a child who somehow keep punching his Riolu... at least until they got it that the boy is actually sparring with the Lucario. A sweeping kick, a leg swipe, a straight punch... the boy did not relent as the Riolu is forced to go on defensive. Four other Pokemons are left watching as the two traded spot from how they were just now. Before it was Agate who was on defensive, and now it's Riku. They're training to read their opponent's moves apparently. Their Trainer did not move haphazardly either. He mimicked many fighting Pokemon's style. From wrestling, to karate, to judo, to sumo wrestling, to boxing, capoiera... granted, it's not that much of a mimicry, but he were watching a lot of fighting Pokemon moves while preparing to train Riku. This is the result of that training.
"Don't relent, watch your footing! Don't just think because you're Pokemon you could just like that forget about the ground! Remember that someone who can seize the ground and make it their ally are the one who will win in any martial art combat!" It's at time like this that Agate's fierce personality came through. His kick blocked, his punch shielded against, his tosses defended against... "When you touch the ground, make sure to ukemi immediately!" Agate told Riku, who replied with a spirited cry. It takes a bit more of Agate's fierce attack that finally the training for Riku is over.
"Whew..." the red haired teen relaxed his stance. "Let's take a break for the meantime replenish your fluid."
Agate gave Riku a water bottle. He immediately downed the content.
How did this happened? Well, time to return to a few days ago. Agate and the other reached Birch, where soon the trainer heard out about the training ground. Training... The boy loved to train a lot. He's strong already, but to Agate this is not enough. He always the kind that wanted to challenge how much could a human being reach. He loves trying out new things, and he loves to develop whatever he have. That's why, he decided to train with all his Pokemon in this way. Training his Pokemon, while training his own body. It feels really good.
"Right, to return to our previous conversation, I'll say this again of what your menus would be. "Riku will train with me in martial arts just like usual, I'll be focusing on his ability to dodge, his strength and grounding process. Riku got tendency to hop quite a lot, which while fine makes him weak while he got his landing swiped under his feet..."
The Riolu nodded. He accept this criticism.
"Next, Schera. We'll be focusing on your accuracy and dodging at the same time. The idea is I'll toss some rocks at you. Dodge the ones with color other than gold. If you see gold, catch it, is that clear?" A squawk from the Skarmory.
"Azalea, we'll have you train with your tendency to use status effect. I don't mind your uses of status effects, but if you keep focusing on status effects only, we'll have problem when you don't have any big gun to play," Agate told the Frillish, who seem to also accept what he said. "The other idea is to expand your move repertoire, but that's going to be expensive endeavor... I'm not sure if we'll ever get enough gems for that. At the moment on hand I have three gems. None of them are matching. I'm going to try my hardest to get you all the love you deserved. Alright! Next... Kagari!"
The Torchic looked at him. Both her and Riku seem to be pretty close lately... perhaps they're already at that relationship? Eh, let's not think about it. "I think you're well aware of your position. When you evolve into Combusken, I think you'll be more physical oriented... but do you want to become balanced like Riku, or would you prefer to stay specialized, or would you like to be physical attacker?"
The Torchic seem to choose something along the line of being a special attacker. "...That might cause some confusion on the opponent, hmmm... Well, then, I'll follow your desire. I'll think about your training menu soon. And finally, Vorpal..." The Alolan Sandshrew really wanted to cling with his partner, but with the current mood, he decided against it. "Admittedly I have no idea what to train with you so.. how about we try boosting your efficiency of strategy? I think you have good amount of moves pool... We'll try to develop it tactically, that's fine with you?"
A nod from the Sandshrew. So far so good. "And here's the thing. It's not just you all who's going to train. I'll train too! A strong trainer does not only give command to their Pokemon, but also fight with them by understanding them better! I'm bad at most smart stuff, so here's how to make me understand faster... I'll train with you all and grow stronger with you all! Alright! Now all of that done, here's what I want you to do. There's six of us! While I'm training with one of you, you train with another in the background, alright? We'll move around this training area, only to return to town to get foods and drinks! If any of you got injured, we'll immediately stop training and return too!"
A chorus of cries raised from his Pokemon. "For today's training partner, Azalea and Schera is together, Kagari please assist Vorpal. As for us, Riku, we'll continue training again!"
Thankfully, while this training ground is often visited by many, it's big enough to let Agate trains in peace. The youth tossed his shirt away as it's now full of sweats. "We'll now practice some moves against countering! This will be one of your move. This time I'll be in defending, make sure you're aware that I'll strike this time around, unlike the last time!"
Agate put on a defensive stance. He saw on the background Schera and Azalea is doing their training. Azalea is focusing on attacking Schera with non-status effect moves, while occasionally tossing a golden rock. She's quite a cunning one. She's letting Schera gain an upper hand by purposely times her attack to a certain pattern, then changes her pattern by attacking the moment Schera thought the coast was clear. She's basically a perfect counter for Schera's Lax nature.
Meanwhile, Kagari is shooting her Embers at Vorpal. She knew how to control her strength, so it resulted in perfect balance between pain and gentle. She didn't baby him, nor she is being too harsh. The docile Vorpal in turn wouldn't get discouraged or get lax with this style of training. He properly tries to hide from Kagari's attacks by digging some holes or hides behind any covers... It looks like their training is doing great... as for himself...
Agate barely dodged an attack from Riku. A light gash appeared on his cheek. "Don't stop!" he warned his Riolu. "That one is just a light wound. If we care about every single wound, then we won't move forward. Again!"
He noted that Riku uses Lucario style fighting... it's understandable considering Riolu and Lucario aren't that different after all, knowing they're evolution of one another. Riku's style is heavily based on jabbing and boxing moves. Sometimes he would do kickboxing, but it's rare... He's the type that corners enemy by not giving them any time to breathe... would be a good move, except considering that he tends to punch lightly to compensate for his speeds. That's why...
"Naive!" Agate knocked his left hook away and struck a fist to Riku's solar plexus. The Riolu coughed and knelt on the ground. "...Ah, drats, did i hit too hard?" Agate asked. He really did not meant to hit him that strongly! But instead, Riku shook his paw as if saying it's fine, and he still can go on. "Heh, that's the spirit.. Again!"
Riku this time sprinted. He seem to get what's he's missing. First, he opened the attack with a flying kick right at Agate's arms! The stinging pain made Agate grit his teeth. That attack got quite the weight behind it, and it hurts! But what came up next isn't something that he expected. By using the recoil from kicking Agate, the Riolu landed few feet away, and kicked the ground. He's planning to hit him with a rushing punch huh...
Too bad though!
Agate tossed few pebbles at Riku, who looked surprised that he would do that. That split second was enough for Agate to close in the distance a drove a backfist blow at Riku, who once again did not expect the attack and recoiled from the pain.
"That was good, but you need a bit more work. Just because I'm a human doesn't mean I don't have various tricks with me, you know?" Agate grinned. "Nice work today, though, partner!"
[Total Words: 1508] This and two replies before it is to increase Agate's Stamina
The plan is an hour training and an hour break. Currently, all of Agate's Pokemon is resting. Agate could feel his arms stinging from the training with Riku. Using the provided medicines in the training ground, Agate sprayed his Pokemon's bodies with potions just to heal them some. Most of them must have felt some stinging pain from all the training they did. Midway through the training, Schera and Azalea switched role. Schera would hovers idly... then attack when Azalea did not expect it. Azalea's calculative nature would make her overthink, and Schera is using that moment to act unpredictably. Azalea's weakness is her tendency to stick to the book, without thinking outside the box. By doing a joint training with the lax but nearly unpredictable Schera, Azalea could learn more instinct from her.
...Afterward, regarding switch training between Vorpal and Kagari... Vorpal ended up digging six holes around Kagari, each interconnected. He would toss a snowball at Kagari, who have to shoot her embers at it. The idea of the training would be to increase Kagari's awareness toward danger, and her dodging abilities. If she doesn't want to get up and personal, then she have to stop her enemies from advancing too close to her. Clash between projectiles also must be calculated against. Too weak and the ice will hit her, too strong and she would be too late in dodging the next attack. It's a fine balanced training for Kagari. As for Vorpal, it's to train his agility and for him to remember which hole should he came out from, because otherwise Kagari could guess from which hole he came out from and attack him with Ember.
So far so good. This heavy training might strain some of them though, so he guess this time around they will do something other than this heavy training... Perhaps time to do something that's easier for them. " Alright, gather around!" Agate called out to all his Pokemon. He distributed few foods to them. Light ones, though, to make sure that they're not too overfed so they can't go on training anymore.
"You all did great. Rest yourself up a bit! This will be our next training for the day. For those who cannot go on anymore after this training could tell me! Those that want to continue, the next training will be the last until we go to our lodging place! For the meantime... I'll be thinking of idea of how to train you all!"
...Yeah, he unfortunately still had no idea what to train... He guess he could train their stamina through running or something... So far they have been moving around in burst... So... something like a light jog probably would be great? As for him and Riku though...
"Riku," he called out to his Riolu, who immediately looked toward him. "The rest will be doing some stamina building.. I'll have them do repeated actions. As for us, we'll sprint some, are you ready for it, buddy?" Agate asked, grinning. Riku simply sighed and shook his head in exasperation.
Agate admittedly is not quite good at running. He's more someone who fight with tons of strength, punch through hard things, lift heavy objects, or endure. He's not as good at running or doing parkours... still, it doesn't mean that he CAN'T. Him being in puberty means his sense of balance is still a bit chaotic due to his growing body. He's also not only growing vertically either, but also horizontally. Clothes that used to fit now starting to feel tight around the arms. Maybe after this training he should try flex em to rip it or something? Heh heh~
"...Riku, are you ready?"
The Riolu answered spiritedly. They have rested enough... so it's time to train again! This time, the two picked a course slightly far from the rest of the team. It's a track that looked similar to a parkour track, except looking more... natural? No, that's not quite it... nature blending perhaps. Although some of it are artificial, it does looks more in line aesthetically with what available. The trainer and his Pokemon knelt down in a sprinting position.
"...We'll time it in three, alright? Whoever returns here the fastest is the winner."
Riku grinned at him, and seem to say something. He can guess what he meant already.
"What, you're asking me if I'm afraid of losing? So sorry, but the only one who's losing here is me if I don't do it. Just because I can't do acrobatics as good as you don't mean anything in my training. Those who trained just because they want to win without actually appreciating the effort in training itself is a worthless person!" Agate countered. Riku meanwhile grinned in approval. Something about him saying 'don't come crying to me after this then'.
"Fuuh, getting cheeky are we? Well... let's start anyway... In three... two... one!"
Both human and Pokemon kicked the ground at the same time. While Riku opted to run from a brach to branch, Agate on the other hand took the safer route. He jumped down toward a rock platform, running down to a catwalk-like extension. Immediately, he grabbed an iron bar at the end to vault himself toward a vine! While Agate is muscular, his weight is still those of a growing youth, thus he could easily swing from a tree to another rather easily. He eventually landed, just slight ahead of Riku. The two raced faster, pushing themselves through. While near stepping rock lake, Riku opted to jump ahead... but he had no idea that the "Rocks" are actually just platform that not meant to be landed on after a jump. In turn, he suddenly slipped and fell into the water. Agate, meanwhile, not being the one to hurry, sidestepped through the foams, managing to reach the other end! It took Riku about two minutes to finally reach the shore after Agate.
"What's wrong? Haven't dad told you that the one who will win is not a hasty Scorbunny, but the careful Turtwig!?" Agate taunted. Riku grumbled, once again feeling that he perhaps making light of this training after all.
Following that, the two reached the next obstacle, hanging ropes with water below. Agate decide to just hang with his hands rather than climbing it and going all four. As much as he could do that, he's not one who's great with direction if he goes upside down. Biological navigation system pretty much have yet to able to register things while he's not on the ground. Perhaps, it's something that he should work on... But if he's doing that in a middle of this small race, he feel it would only bring disaster, so he decided against. Riku however doing that exactly, reverse climbing like a monkey.
As result, the Riolu and his trainer is side by side again. Riku managed to cut that two precious minutes down by doing something Agate decided to not, and on top of that accurately. Meanwhile... Agate just remembered... his arm was still numb from fighting with Riku an hour ago. Agh, the pain! Thankfully he was able to propel himself forward by swinging to the dry land, and continue his little run. Unfortunately for him, looks like the race is almost over. Just a bit in front of them, a tall wall with a curve stood. It's their finish line it seems. Agate finally used the last burst of his speed, but Riku is not losing either! Both Pokemon and Human ran up the curve, and jumped straight to the ledge! By how however, sadly it was already determined. As Riku recovers faster than Agate, he was the first to reach the finish, while Agate's arm, still sore from the fight and the hanging ropes, unfortunately made him late when he tried to pull himself up from the ledge. They found that the rest of the team have done their own version of the race too. Azalea and Schera is doing an aerial dogfight, while Kagari and Vorpal is doing a small hurdle run.
"Hhh... congrats for winning!" Agate congratulated the Riolu, who shook his head as if saying he was lucky. Had Agate's arms recovered faster, would he won the match? Probably, but such talk of "What ifs" are not the talk for a loser. It's talk for the winner. Agate regardless called over the team back for the meantime. "Good job on your little training! We're done here for the day. Back to the camping ground we go to, and make sure to fill yourself up! Rest up and we will continue this again the next day!"
...Honestly, he felt like he's a drill sergeant by saying all of this, but... he have to admit, training together with pokemons are fun. Even though they cannot really fully communicate, there's always a feeling that despite this barrier, they can work together. Agate made sure to pack up and gathered his belongings. Today was tiring, but it sure is very worth it! Ah, speaking of which...
"Say, how about if after this we forage some? As much as I have enough food, I think it'll be great if we could get some other foods at it too!"
TWC: 3044 (This and previous two replies is to increase Agate's Agility)
Foraging... which is to say, to gather as many food as possible for party of six... (soon to be seven, but the seventh, aka Ragnard the Charmander is currently recovering, together with Chatty the Wynaut, who apparently prefer to not fight for the meantime). So here they are, setting up a camp. Agate nailed the support stacks while making sure that the frame of the tent stays upright. If it caved, well... that going to be sucks. For something he only could afford few days ago, the tent is quite spacious, and the sleeping spot are... absolutely amazing. Wooloo furs makes great sleeping carpet. Agate did not have any sleeping bag meanwhile. So he only have stacks of those carpets, and a pillow, and a bolster. If it's cold, he could take out a piece of comforter. That's pretty much it.
The tent is very spacious, enough for three people at max, with spacious space to roll around if so they want. It's a bit overkill, but Agate decided that it is a good investment. Especially because he's not exactly the cleanest sleeper. While he did not hit someone, he often roll around in his sleep (especially when it's hot. When it's cold, he instead just stay in one place). After setting his spot to sleep, Agate looked outside, toward where his Pokemon gathered.
"Alright, we have set our camp. For the meantime, both Schera and Riku will stay in this place to keep watch. While this training ground is open for everyone and the wild Pokemons are much more friendlier than the wild, I don't want some people to come waltzing and think they could steal from us. Not like there's anything worthy to steal anyway, but you catch my drift! Azalea, Kagari and Vorpal, we will go looking for any berries or any foods... maybe we'll find something, eh?"
With their assigned roles, the humans and the Pokemons heads out. They looked for food. Azalea for example, would chill on the stream. She made sure to extend her tentacles to catch any incoming fishes. With her being floating, she could easily capture any fishes that caught by her tentacles. The neurotoxins there would make it even easier for her to paralyze her preys. As for Vorpal, he began digging the ground to look for any tuber based plants Tubers are nice, and yams are especially so, especially when grilled on open fire.Granted, it's not easy, but the Alolan Sandshrew is still looking hard.
What does Kagari do meanwhile? The Torchic is looking for seeds, but not just any seeds. Aromatic seeds that could be seasoning for the soup. Agate cant' cook, he already said this repeatedly, but he never cooked before. He only could shape food into certain shapes, just like making onigiri, or slathering something on his piece of bread... that's all. He really can't do much. That's why, soups are the best thing to cook. It's easy! It's not hard to cook them either, just put them in and let the ingredient harmonize together!
As for Agate? His arms are still sore, but he decided that perhaps there are foods still hidden somewhere... somehow. Just as he thought that, he saw several ground wild vegetables! If he recalled these correctly, they're part of turnip family! That, and he also saw quite number of mushrooms. He could pick these up and ask Riku about it. Riku's smelling would easily tell which one is edible, which one is poisonous... But even so...
"...And there just have to be this massive branch blocking the way to get the to the foods over there..." Agate sighed. Yep, there's apparently something fell over on the way... His arms are still tingly, but even so, he hopefully can easily pull this off! In one, two, three--! Agate grabbed the branch and exerted his strength. He could feel his arms shaking from all the strains today. Oof, talk about hard work, but even so... having things to eat would hasten recovery too! That's why, he'll work hard to move this away! After exerting more strength, Agate finally cleared the way. Owww, his arms pretty much already protesting a lot. He only could do this several more times before his arm gave up.
Well, let's dig anyway. "Vorpal!" Agate called the alolan Sandshrew. It immediately approached, carrying few tuber crops of its own. Agate put it on his bag while Vorpal dug the veggies out. As much as he want to yank them off the ground to train himself, he guess that his arms need a priority in rest at the moment. The moment Vorpal dug out the vegetables, Agate would put it inside his bag, then repeat until everything has been taken. Kagari returned with several seeds on her cheekpouch... actually, does Torchics have any cheek pouches? Their cheeks does looks round though...
Either way, she gave Agate the seeds.... Mushroom, seeds, some tubers and wild vegetables... it turned out to be quite a feast. Azalea wasn't there anymore when they crossed the forest path to the river... Instead, she seem to have gone ahead, carrying sizeable amount of catch. Carbohydrate, check... vitamins, check. protein, check. These probably good enough. Agate took out the biggest soup pan he have. Just one is not enough, so he pretty much readied three of them... good things his sister told him to at least always bring soup pans, otherwise he had no idea what to cook...
"Right, the three of you, Azalea, Kagari, Vorpal, stay back. Riku and Schera, come with me. We'll get some water." Water for the soup... how could he forgot, he had no idea, but the three of them are carrying a bucket each. Three sauce pans means a pan is for two. That's hopefully plenty enough. Agate would trek back to the river Azalea was hunting on and filled the baskets with water. Afterward, they returned to the campsite to fill the soup pan with water... No matter how good the water looked, it's best to boil them after all...
What happened next is simple enough. Agate would season the tubers with salt and pepper, then piled dead leaves up high above them and set it on fire. Riku did not smell any poisons in the mushrooms Agate carried and so it's apparently edible. With that in mind, they got their umami. Agate put in the chopped veggies (it's hastily chopped. He's not good with chopping veggies to be honest), the radishes, the mushroom, a bit leeks and some fried onions they have laying around to the mixture, add a bit of shredded meat, and then just stir.
While waiting, Agate made sure to rest his arm. He bandaged it, and slathered some muscle relaxant ointment. The menthol feeling was not quite the sensation he liked. Riku too, being a canine Pokemon, does not find mint to be pleasant smell the slightest. He avoided Agate, who can't help but to sigh. Agate, Riku and Vorpal ended up being the ones who stirred the pot content using ladle. If only they could get some starch slurry, they could make this more appetizing... In the end, Agate used some corn flour to thicken it some. The result was less than what he ate at home, but the texture felt more satisfying.
Their first day of training ended up very productive... but at the same time, it's questionable whether they can be stronger like this. The nature is great, but eventually there are just so many things he can do while in the nature. If he want to be stronger, he got to go to the real training ground, possibly... get some workout done with all the tools there... or something like that. Or maybe he should just think of how to make a makeshift training items himself? Agate is not sure, but... He know that he want all of them to be strong enough. There are so many dangerous places with treasures...
"...Alright, gather up," Agate called to his Pokemon after they finished their dinner. "Tomorrow we'll go back to the city to stock some of our foods. Afterward I think we should go to a training ground where we can learn more about traps. We don't know what sort of adventure waiting for us out there... and well, I'm sure we'll all gonna be alright! But to be 'alright', we need to train, we need to be more prepared. So the idea is... tomorrow we'll set off toward the training ground that could give us a rundown of how to evade traps... There must be one around here. It'll be a bit brutal... And well... I think it'll be far from here too, so during the way we'll be training too if that's fine with all of you."
The Pokemons cried in approval. "Good, well, that aside... I think we have done great job today. I want to pat my back too, heh. But either way, it's time to rest up. You guys can either return to your Pokeballs or stay here... but as for me, I'm going to sleep... goodnight, you all."

It was quite a good night sleep, all thing considered. It wasn't a hot night, but the tendency for the weather to change to stormy is a bit concerning. With this in mind, Agate woke up earlier than usual that day. He began his day with the usual warm ups. First to do some stretching. Neck craning, arm rotating, stretch it in front of his chest, a bit of hip dance, then leg stretching. Immediately after, he followed it up with 15 push up for twenty seconds, followed with squats for another twenty seconds after ten seconds, then followed with back extension, also for twenty seconds, followed with crunches for twenty seconds after another ten seconds rest. He repeated this set for about five times before finally doing the more strenuous training... Today is... rolling a boulder. Usually he would use a tired to roll, but as there are no tire here, a rock with approximate size of the tire is enough.
A voice called out to him. It's Riku huh. "Hey, morning." he greeted his partner. The Riolu nodded, then put on a fight stance. It's another of their morning routine... Basically, after Agate did a heavy training, he have ten minutes break before he spar with Riku. Both human and Pokemon kicked the ground at the same time. Their little spar ended up about thirty minutes later. Unless it's their dedicated training, generally sparring is only about thirty minutes after warmup. That's pretty much it. Afterward, they would continue by eating breakfast.
"Right... as you all know, as planned yesterday we'll leave this training ground and probably head somewhere that could teach us more on how to be more ready when facing traps and whatnot... Reaction time is important! And... well, if you want to challenge gyms at it too, I think we can do it one day..." Agate muttered.
Gym battling... it's honestly something that he wanted to try, but he honestly wasn't so big in it. Why? Simple, he had debts to pay. If he enter the Pokemon Stadium just like that... Probably he won't get as many compared if he go doing odd jobs and spelunking. He loves to dive to new caves and get some rare items after all!
"...So, until we reach the next city, I'd like you all to train as best as you can, alright? Because the moment we reached next city, I think I'll have to change Pokemons to train for a bit."
Understandably, there were protests. Schera was neutral, Riku understandably wanted him to train him more. Azalea also protested, seem to want to train further. Kagari stayed silent, while Vorpal just latched at him, as if trying to get him to train him more."
"Alright, I understand, I really do. But we need to balance our teams. I want to make sure that you all properly trained," Agate tried to explain. "Even you, Riku. You know that a strong Pokemon would attract another strong Pokemon. If you're too strong while the rest is not strong enough, there will be a heavy imbalance.
Last Edit: May 11, 2020 13:26:35 GMT by Agate Valyn
With such a strong argument, no one could refute it. In the end, while planning, each of them idly trained. Kagari is sidestepping along with Vorpal. Schera and Azalea decided to play tag while going through hurdles, such as tree branches. Schera might have the superiority from her ability to pass through branches unharmed, but there is also Azalea, who as Frillish is very light and could easily slip through the obstacles due to her general body shape. As for Agate... he stayed behind with Riku.
"...Are you still upset?" Agate asked to Riku, who shook his head. "...It's not that I don't want to bring you with me. It's undeniable that we have been together for a while... ever since few years ago too... But even then, I can't play favoritism. I know technically you have priority exactly because my starter Pokemon. 'Starter Pokemon are the one you can play favorite to', they said. And the rest wouldn't mind, exactly because you're my starter Pokemon, but even so..."
Riku shook his head. He seem to understand what is it that Agate wanted to say. "I know that it's odd to leave your starter Pokemon behind, but this is my choice... You probably can tag along just as a walking Pokemon, but you're not allowed to train, is that... fine?" Agate asked. Riku thought for a bit, he shook his head eventually.
"I see, you'd rather stay behind if you're not chosen?"
Riku stared at him like saying that he doesn't mind that at the slightest. "I see... Honestly, I'm also guilty to all of you, but that's the rule. You only can bring six Pokemons no matter what. I can send you out to PC, but I can't really just like that do that to you all... I prefer if you guys just... go somewhere that feels more like home, you know? But at the same time, I don't think my parents have the space for all of you..."
Agh, so complicated... Riku however gently patted Agate's shoulder, almost in a way that says 'do what you think is the best'. "...Yeah, I guess for the meantime, we should decide further, huh... I know that you'll be one of my core fighter... so... I want you to develop more moves if possible...
Secondly, Schera is a good fighter, but I'm not sure she want to be a forefront fighter. I feel she's content if she could get a little bit of action, probably a bit of a journey on the side... I think she's more to a scout Pokemon, what do you think?" Agate asked. Riku nodded in agreeing manner.
"Right, and there's Azalea... She's an oddity, not quite one who I planned to catch, but I got her from a friend, and she was really helpful... but as a trained Pokemon, I think she want more fights with more trainer... so I think she's... Gym challenger type, right?" Riku nodded. But seem to say that Azalea does not mind exploration too. "...Hmmm, I might give it more thoughts then..."
Finally, the last two... "...Between Vorpal and Kagari... Kagari seem to be content to be a pet type Pokemon, but... considering her gentle nature, I'd like her to teach the younger Pokemons from now on. For example, like Ragnard... He's docile so he might need the guidance of the older Kagari... Kagari also sounded like she could do a lot of contest based contents... Especially with her ability to do a lot of tricks with her fire. I'd like if she could do more techniques though. So I think I'll pick her for the next training... Up to Chatty's mood, I might take her too."
Between his meditation, Riku seem to ask something about Vorpal. "...Vorpal eh... Vorpal... He's definitely more suited for exploration. With the chance of him learning all sort of dig, and his ability to be faster while in hailstorm... I think he got great potential for travelling to the mysterious northern Arciel..."
The Northern area, no one know what's in it for the meantime... but having Vorpal in the team is a blessing due to it. We might need a more suitable team to go there, for investment... Still, I'm not particularly hasty with him... About Ragnard, it's nice to get him to Charizard as soon as possible to get a flying mount though..."
But the issue lies in the pokemon's hate for battling. A Charizard that doesn't battle probably... Agate made a complicated expression, but he seem to know what team to bring. "...For the next one, I think I'll bring Ragnard, Kagari, Vorpal and Schera... that's for sure. For the rest... I might be hypocrite to say this, but I'd like you to come. I'll see if Chatty would like to join us too."
With the team decided, Agate nodded and gathered the team once again.
"We're heading to the next town... for the meantime, I'd like to apologize to you all... Some of you, I won't bring to the next excursion. I'd like you to stay put for the meantime. The next that will come with me will be team for exploration... Schera, Kagari, Vorpal... three of you will come with me. Riku will be there too. Azalea, I'm very sorry, but you're to stay for the meantime."
Azalea definitely looked upset, but she decided to follow her trainer's order. "It's not like I won't return to train you either.. I mean, I could also invest in leaving you to the Dojo, but... I don't have that kind of money. I'm sorry."
In the end, Azalea backed down. Agate mentally remind himself to come back to train Azalea. As an underwater Pokemon, she does have potential for underwater exploration... maybe one day there will be diving suits too?
"Alright, now let's head back. We're packing out here."
