With how warm the days were growing, it was hard to determine when would be a good day to travel, and when it would just be a miserable experience. Naoki didn't mind the heat, but they definitely preferred the colder weather and snow to whatever wave was passing over Arciel today. The weather forecast had specifically called for a cool, breezy late-afternoon, not whatever this was. But they were already deep in the Weeping Forest by the time the heat caught up with them so there was no point turning back to Ash City.

They'd just have to bear it.

At least Himawari was enjoying it--the quite large Sunflora was tipping her head up as she walked, right in the direction of the sun, and her petals were wiggling happily as she soaked up that much needed light and energy. Perched on her back like a little backpack was Saru, who looked no less thrilled by the sunlight, but did look like she was about to tip backwards every time Himawari tipped a little too far back. Naoki was walking a few paced behind them. With their backpack of berries (which was thankfully specifically designed to keep heat out, to a degree) a little lighter from trades in Ash, they were still fanning themselves with their hand as they walked. Now would be a lovely moment for a brief shower to pass over them...but that might also lead to thunder and lightning. Thunder didn't bother them much, but the sudden shaking of the ground and flash of light was startling at times.

Himawari let out a lovely high-pitched note and flapped her leaf-shaped (or actually leafs?) arms. Naoki didn't hear the note but took note of her arms, and held out an finger pointed straight upwards. <<What is it?>>

More wiggling towards the treetops, and now Saru was peering over Himawari's shoulder, trying, Naoki assumed, to also see whatever it was that had caught her friend's attention. Naoki had to squint to try to see it. But...if a Sunflora was perfectly able to look up in all this sunlight, Naoki's pitiful human eyes certainly were not. Ow.

Blinking very rapidly they rubbed their palms into their eyes. That was dumb. Why did I look straight at the sun. How much longer until we're out of these woods yet...? They blinked their eyes open once more. Not much farther, right?
