Leaving the goat behind felt a bit more exhausting then it probably should have been. Alicia let out a small sigh of relief once they were in the clear and she had made sure Skiddo had not decided to pursue. What had set the poor thing so on edge though? Some how she just couldn’t swallow the purely territorial answer. It had looked so sweet before catching wind of them after all. Little did she know she’d get her answer soon enough. She sighed and took a seat on the ground for the moment and snuggled herself into Reeshra’s fur. The Vulpix looked over to her and nuzzled her cheek with a cool nose, “Vulll...”
“I hear you, partner. I was just a little worried, that’s all.” Alicia answered to the worried cry. Petting the fox’s head a few times, she let her partner back onto her own feet and looked skyward with a smile. “But seeing these oddly colored Pokemon really made coming to Arciel much more worthwhile then it otherwise would’ve been.”
It all seemed to be going well. Until she felt a bit of unexpected heat right against her back. With a shocked shriek the explorer jumped to her feet, rustling her pack and spooking her partner in the process, and swiped at her clothes in shock with one hand. Fortunately nothing was actually burning and Alicia could rest easy on that front, before turning her glare on the surrounding area. Reeshra’s ears then perked at a soft snickering and the Vulpix turned to the source with an annoyed growl.
Another of her kind, appearing to be the Kantonian version from the straighter curls, was tucked away with a gleam in it’s eyes. It’s form made attempting to... reprimand it an annoying prospect. It could turn this into a full blown fight and Fire obviously had the advantage over Ice. That being said, this individual skulking about so close to the Skiddo earlier would explain the goat’s apprehension when dealing with Vulpix. Alicia herself would be quite annoyed dealing with an obvious prankster irritating her day in and day out. That being said... aside from the surprise, was any harm really done? From what she could feel, her shirt was in tact. So she crouched down and hummed. “Two can play that game. Reeshra, light Powder Snow.”
The Alolan Vulpix looked over in surprise, to see Alicia grinning a bit. This actually reminded her a lot of her brothers. And when she dealt with their shenanigans, she had given just as good as she got once she was old enough to do so. “Give it some cold feet treatment. It wants to pull pranks, so lets give it what’s coming to it for that.”
Reeshra looked apprehensive about that, but stepped up to the plate anyways. With a quick breath, the island fox sent a small and chilly wave of snow down low. And apparently the fiery fox had been expecting a more physical response to it’s antics because it didn’t react in time. A yip followed as their prankster leaped out from its cover, a bit of snow on its four paws as it stamped them on the ground. While it was trying to get the snow off, Alicia had fished a Pokeball out and primed it for a capture attempt. There was just something about it’s nature that made her want to take it home with her. That it’s purple fur of various shades was a lovely look did help factor into it as well. She’d wanted an Alolan version but she wasn’t adverse to the idea of the original Kantonian one. Besides, she’d only scratched the surface of Arciel. What if she found something that could help her later?
Regardless, she found what she was being so picky for and lobbed the ball at the distracted fox.

Quick encounter into a Capture Attempt with a Pokeball! Third time really is the charm, eh?

As an OOC reminder for myself and others, Reeshra’s level 5 at this time with Freeze-Dry, Powder Snow, Tail Whip, and Disable and not the currently updated stats in the PC
——————
For a moment she let herself think that would be that and it would be a clean sweep. In all honesty she should’ve known that attempting a catch on a fresh Pokemon, even distracted, was a silly, silly thing to do. And as a result the Pokeball wobbled a bit here and there before popping open. The purple Vulpix braced once it was materialized again, hackles raised over the capture attempt. And to rub salt into the wound it then torched the ball with an Ember to fry the delicate machinery.
“Aah!” Trainer she may not be, but Alicia never-the-less didn’t want to see a ball busted by the Pokemon she was trying to catch. Now it was looking ready to drop the games over the attempt, and in her moment of surprise, the wild fox managed to get another shot of fire out. This one was aimed at Reeshra and the Alolan fox yelped as she caught the broadside of the sparks. But it’s use of Ember at this moment gave Alicia the chance to shut things down before it could press it’s type advantage further.
“Reeshra, Disable!” With the declaration, the ice fox shook herself clear, though singed, and her eyes glowed with a spectral power as she focused on her fiery counterpart. The Kantonian Vulpix flinched under the gaze and took another breath, looking to spit fire. Only to then cough and sputter as the fire wouldn’t come. A mental block kept it from drawing any heat up and it looked up in surprise. Alicia then grinned, readying a second ball.
“Now Freeze-Dry!” Reeshra was quick on the uptake, blowing a much more powerful chilly air around the fire bound fox. For a moment she considered calling another shot to weaken her target further, but the Kantonian Vulpix had other plans about that by invoking it’s own Disable. Now Reeshra was the one shuddering under the spectral gaze as her strongest move was shut down.
“Powder Snow!” That being said, she had another option, and with the opposing Vulpix’s offense shut down for the moment, she had a few free shots. Reeshra was able to change tracks in time with the order and changed her breath to hit with a flurry of snow. This, unsurprisingly, upset the fox and it yipped and growled to make that known. Unfortunately for it, it had no way of really shutting down the second attacking move, only able to move in and give Reeshra a quick Tail Whipping. With a shake of her head, the icy fox tried to center herself again, but it’s clear she was shaken up regardless. Fortunately neither fox had methods to take advantage of that.
Now, though, she had a choice to make. Did the Vulpix have enough strength to withstand another Powder Snow or should she throw the second ball now? Ice may be weak to Fire offensively but the same was not true defensively. Fire took neutral damage from Ice and that meant a fair amount of damage had been racked up already. Enough that Alicia believed that another shot would knock the fox right the heck out and that was no good for them.
“Let’s try this again,” she quipped with a smile, throwing the last remaining Pokeball towards the Vulpix.

Quick skirmish after the ball breaking, followed by a new capture attempt. Hope this goes a bit better <_<“ >_>”

Alicia smiled as the ball once more wobbled. She’d been confident that the Vulpix was weakened significantly enough that it was a sure catch. The fox had appeared to be on its last legs after all. So her shock was palpable when the ball not only burst open, it shattered from them force of the internal struggle. “What in blazes...?”
Either she’d misjudged, or their target had suddenly gained a second wind and been revitalized as a result. It was chaos regardless. But at least she still had a free shot before the Kantonian fox could start properly hitting back, so she’d try to weaken it a little more. “Powder Snow, one more time!”
Reeshra barked sharply in acknowledgement and took a breath to send one more micro snow storm towards her fiery counterpart. The purple furred fox was still catching its breath from the fight to get out, and as a result ate the attack head on, clumps of snow now packed into the poor thing’s fur. And it then showed how wrong she was by answering back with an Ember if it’s own anyways. Both explorer and ice fox were so surprised by the shot that Reeshra literally let it smack her in the face, whining in pain and crouching down to brush the cinders off before she really caught fire in a more permanent way.
But... this had to be enough, right? A Freeze-Dry and two Powder Snows wearing it down, it couldn’t possibly have much more fight in it left, right? And as she was reaching for, a thought occurred to her. She’d only gotten two Pokeballs for start up here. She didn’t have anything left to use. She’d still patted around in her pack in distressed disbelief. She wanted to know so badly what an evolved Vulpix with this coloration would look like! And then she felt another round shape. “Eh...?”
Grasping it and fishing it out, she blinked in surprise as she was looking at an Ultra Ball with a note attached to it. In spite of herself, she took the moment to read the note. “Wishing you luck, love Mom, Dad, Jeremy, and Morgan...”
There was a quick tear in her eye as she smiled. Third time was the charm previously... perhaps it would be the charm this time around as well? Especially with a stronger ball. Priming the ball, Alicia took a breath and held it close to her chest. Right beside her locket in fact. “Thank you.”
And then she wound up and threw it, feeling on top of the world. Even from afar they were backing her, and she felt on top of the world now. There was no way this gift was going to fail!

Another turn into an Ultra Ball. Many thanks to Elliot Sunderland for gifting the Ultra Ball. I had to figure out how to explain it some how.
... Roller please be gentle this time...? I’m not asking for much...

As confident as she was given the strength of the gifted pokeball, she still felt a quick twinge of worry as the Ultra Ball wobbled on the ground. For being such a prankster the Kantonian fox was quite the fighter. Would her attempt be dashed again? A moment of panic came over her as the ball thrashed twice more, before finally settling down and clicking shut. Alicia just stared at the quiet Ultra Ball for a few more moments, before finally working up the courage to walk over and grab it.
“… Well that was more hectic then I was anticipating.” She commented as she smiled at the ball. Now she had to run for real. This had taken more out of her and Reeshra then she was originally expecting! Even if she had more pokeballs to try for another catch ‘just because’, Reeshra was hurt and their new partner could also do with a check up. “Time to split!”
Gathering up her icy partner, she turned tail and left with all due haste, handling all the important matters to ensure her catch was recorded properly. For how short it was, it felt like such a long ordeal!
Raul felt more than A LITTLE suspicious about this so-called Community Garden. He was pleasant and civil enough when he'd been allowed inside, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there had to be more going on here. Who was this wealthy philanthropist? Where had all his wealth come from? Was there something more sinister going on in this garden than there appeared? Or perhaps the garden was a front to cover up various crimes committed against humanity and Pokemon alike.
Well, he intended to try and get to the bottom of all of this.
There's only one reason why he's here today... Simple, he wanted to know what are these so called "rare coloration Pokemons". Of course there are prime example in his close circle... Sirius the electric blue Yamper. Honestly, the sight of the Pokemon sort of baffled him. The yamper is blue... with dark blue body, and electric blue else? It's just... quite the sight no gonna lie. What caused this unique mutation? Why are they only available in swarms? And suddenly one day someone just said that they're breeding only the uniquely colored Pokemons? In that case who wouldn't jump at that chance? Azur admittedly only jumped now because he wasn't sure how it sounded at first... is it a conservation, or is it something else?
Regardless, the nurse decided that he shouldn't look at the gift horse on its mouth and decided that he should just try to see what Pokemon might suit him in his journey to heal people... Alolan Vulpix or normal Vulpix would be great. Snoms... the Snoms are red aren't they? Those are interesting too. He's not as much into Skiddo due to the amount of Pokemons he already have at hand. Well then, time to check!

Raul had almost completely missed the Pokemon - it was so small, he had almost stepped on it! It was a good thing he was not easily thrown off balance. He quickly backed up, eyes widening. "Ah! I am so sorry!"
He crouched down to make himself appear less threatening. "Please forgive me, my friend. I am quite new here, and I was absorbed in thought."
He paused, tilting his head to look at the Pokemon. "My, I have never seen a Pokemon like you before. Hmm! You must be very exotic. And look at what a lovely shade of pink you are!"
Yes, this was all starting to come together. The fiend who put together this garden likely snatched this Pokemon out of its native habitat and then cooped it up here - lonely and lost! Oh, what a sad tale! It was enough to move him to tears. "I wonder how long it is you have languished here? Is there no end to the crimes wrought by the rich!"
He rubbed at his eyes. He didn't want them to get swollen, red, and puffy after all!
"My dear friend, please, let me take you away from this awful place. Join with me, and I will ensure the one who has wronged you so receives justice!"
He pulled out a Pokeball and made to try and catch the Pokemon.
Jackpot. There it is. An Alolan Vulpix. For some strange reason they're in Galar too. It's strange thing to call it Alolan although it's found in other region too, in Azur's opinion? But whatever. He guess it's also valid to name it with certain region name because it was found there first as a regional variant. But either way, seeing that, he stepped closer to the Alolan Vulpix--- only to suddenly felt something like a cold air on his legs... eh!?
The Vulpix smirked, as if saying she just got him. Man, what an impish one this creature is. Too bad though... Azur pulled out what looked like a vial of potion, then poured the content at his feet. Immediately the ice thawed. It's something like an anti freeze... sorta! It's of special blend though. Azur smirked back at the Vulpix, who looked a bit surprised by the display. But something about her seem to suggest that she's smirking again... hmn?
"You, you think this is interesting, huh?"
The Vulpix let out a "kon" sound, as if agreeing. "What a chaos child you are... but I guess I'm a chaos child magnet... Let's see... what do you want to do? Do you want to see outside world? if you want to, I'll take you with me, and then you can explore the world to your leisure."
Exploring the world... doesn't sound too bad. She honestly just wanted some attention, and someone who's smart enough to outsmart her... well, this in itself is fine. She sat on the ground, and Azur immediately tossed a Pokeball at her direction. Let's see how it goes. Pokeball Go! Eggs: Sobble: 3/5 Zorua: 8/10 Rotom: 8/15

Kaisei Nebula did not actually care about the beautiful botanical garden that he was strolling through, nor the fact that his Bidoof was getting some much-needed exercise. His true intention had been to scope out the property, maybe try to find out some more information about this mysterious "wealthy philanthropist" that had set up the garden practically overnight. The other benefits, including the four eggs quietly incubating in his backpack, were secondary. Together he and Saver had explored much of the grounds, making some pleasant conversation with the few other visitors he had chanced to run across, but to his dismay he had failed to find out a single thing about the proprietor, not even a name or a vague physical description. [break][break] Saver was pulling on the leash again, to sniff at some random bush. Kaisei was generally not a fan of leashing Pokemon, but as dumb as the Bidoof was, he had failed to see another option to prevent her from running off into Arceus knows where. A pair of women passed, pointed at Saver, and giggled among themselves. Kaisei glared at them behind their backs. It was the stupid collar, he was sure. He had bought the thing to make her look at least somewhat more intimidating, less doofy, but if anything it had only accentuated what he had heard others referring to as his Pokemon's "cuteness." [break][break] He walked forward and held the leash in place, not attempting to drag her along, but rather patiently waiting at the end of the taut line until Saver decided to get with the program and move on. She ran up to him, wagging her tail, before her nose sniffed the air and she dashed off ahead of him, Kaisei having to run as well to keep the leash in hand. What on earth was she so excited about? "Are you serious, Saver?" Kaisei blinked in disbelief when he finally saw what the Bidoof had been carrying on about. "It's a Pidgey." Sure, it had an unusual black color, but the damn birds could be found everywhere in Kanto, and he supposed in most other places as well. If he wanted one so badly, he could have caught it anywhere, and its diminutive size wasn't doing this particular specimen any favors either. [break][break] Saver was having none of it -- she continued wagging her tail and bound up to the Pidgey, wanting to play. Instead Kaisei sharply turned a corner and gave the leash a light tug. "We're moving on," he stated flatly, and waited for her to decide to do the right thing. When Saver did, he suspected it was only because she had caught an exciting new smell from the other direction - but he supposed at least he should be grateful she was cooperating. Even though Sonia was speaking telepathically, it was still quite quiet around her. After all, she wasn't speaking verbally, therefore her presence wasn't really being broadcasted other than the occasional noise that the grey blue Eevee made. Which since it was brother, wasn't much.
So when Sonia did see a Pokemon, she ended up startling the poor thing. The blonde saw the Vulpix as they pawed at the ground near the roots of a tree, and Sonia was instantly endeared by the sweet looking mon. Kneeling down to be more on it's level, though still maintaining several feet away before her mind was reaching out to the new encounter.
"Hello there." She spoke softly, and only then did the distracted Vulpix notice that she wasn't alone. Eyes shot open, body stiffening to alertness before actually seeing the girl. And her first instinct was to run. So she turned, and ran face first right into the tree. Sonia gasped, Brother getting set down as she hurried and scooped up the dazed Vulpix instead. Fur was smoothed down with gentle hands, and once eyes began to focus the fox was set down again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I just wanted to say hi." Sonia kept her voice softer, mental murmuring if you will. And the fox just stared in amazement as Sonia petted the curls on top of her head. This was actually amazing! An actual telepath! She had been hoping that one day she could work with a psychic one day! The Vulpix cooed into the attention and Sonia smiled.
"Would you maybe like to come with us? I know it might be scary to leave you're home, but I was hoping I could make a new friend today. Would you like to be that new friend?" Sonia asked, offering out a spare pokeball.
