"Then all the better!" Adi piped up, blushing a little as he chuckled awkwardly. This was quite awkward already, asking a near stranger to strip. Though he didn't mean that he would watch and be a perv! "I wasn't going to watch anyway." Adi confirmed, spinning on his heel and looking the opposite direction. Tri gave a short whine, concerned but Adi just guided the canine's head away.
"It's fine Tri, just don't look at him for now. He needs some privacy." Adi explained, to which the canine still tried to look anyway to which Adi forced his head to turn the other way. Everything seemed fine, Liam was taking his time thouh he was in a precarious situation.
And then there was a near shriek, and Adi covered his eyes to peek behind him and look through his fingers. Why was a Lady here now? There hadn't been anyone here before! And now Liam was on the ground though Adi quickly looked away.
"Hold on." Adi murmured, peeking through fingers at the ground to see where it was safe to walk and put himself between Liam and the lady before he was squirming out of his light hoodie the tossing it behind him. "Feel free to step on that, I don't care if it gets sandy and it'll make it easier for you." He supplied before putting his bags down to make a sort of barrier, stacking the bag of eggs on top of his larger travel bag and checking on them real quick. He was worried about them not being warm enough, though he kept the hand closet to Liam covering his eyes to offer what privacy he could. "You okay?" Adi asked softly, concerned that his potential inattentiveness caused Liam to be pissed at him.

Liam had appreciated Adi trying so hard to give him privacy, but in the end it was all for naught. Of all the rotten luck.
As the random lady hid her face and continued mumbling apologies, Adi scooted his way over to offer his hoodie. Aww? Liam was a little touched, but he didn't want to mess up Adi's clothes too. "I-it's fine," he replied. "It's too late for me, no sense smooshing your clothes into the sand, too." He forced a soft laugh. Admittedly, now that he was just brushing himself off and cramming on his clothes, accepting his fate of dealing with sand irritation rather than trying to avoid it, he was able to get dressed much faster. Of course he was only putting on a tank top and some baggy shorts, so that helped with speed, too. It would be cooler, if a lot less professional, but ah well.
Picking up Adi's hoodie, he sighed as he dusted off the light sand that had gotten on it just from contact; wasn't as bad as if he'd put all his weight on it at least, though. "All right, you all can look," he said, handing Adi his hoodie when he turned around.
As the woman turned around, she told them, "I'm so so sorry again. I was just out looking for wild Pokemon, or maybe some trainers to battle. I never expected--" Her face went red again as she cut off.
Liam blushed again himself, averting his gaze and rubbing the back of his neck, but mumbled, "It's fine..."
"Oh good." Well she took that to heart fast, heh. "Ah... I don't suppose now that that's settled that either of you would like a one on one match with my lovely Sneasel?" Hm? Ah... Several of Liam's Pokemon were weak to Ice or Dark, and he was still feeling a bit blugh, but he looked to Adi questioningly.

Adi tilted his head, listening to Liam while his fingers still covered his eyes. The blonde was a little confused as to why Liam wasn't using his hoodie to help make it easier for himself, he had said it was alright. And while yes he would be a little heartbroken the day that his comfort pick hoodie would bite the dust, he was an Explorer now and things would get dirty, ripped and stained. It was to be expected, and clothes could be easily replaced.
But, Liam was his own person, so Adi would respect his decision. So he waited until he got the okay before he was slowly peeking through his fingers to be certain, then his hand was dropping and he was smiling kindly, apologetically. But hey, he had his hoodie back which was quickly patted down and tied around his waist. It was a tad warm out, he'd be fine in his tshirt and jeans. And meant he was about the same level of dressed as Liam. Which wasn't fair by the way, those arms looked very sexy with some muscle definition without being bulky.
Adi looked to Liam, raising an eyebrow in response to the lady's words. Was Liam actually okay with it? Oh no, Liam was pretty cute when he was blushing. That was it, before they got to Cedar, Adi was totally getting the other's number. Catching this train of thought, and worried the Liam might catch onto to it Adi sought out the first distraction he could. A battle? He could totally do that! And he could totally see why Liam wouldn't want to, though he had a feeling that if Adi stood q chance, Liam probably would have done well himself.
"Yeah, I'd be up for one. Never hurts to get more practice in. What do you say Tri?" Adi directed the question to his partner, the canine let out a happy bark before darting forward to be in front of Adi. And the blonde smirked. This would be an interesting battle, neither of them seemed to have an advantage over the other. This would be just pure skill and power!
"Ladies first." Adi winked, giving a flourish of his arms as he bowed. He sure was in a playful mood wasn't he?
"What a kind dear. Sneasel, darling, you're up!" The ball was tossed and the Sneasel leapt forward, immediately striking a bow similar to Adi's as if that was what he was trained to do. "But please, I insist on you going first to make up for my transgression."
Adi was a bit surprised, but also wasn't about to kick up a fuss about it. "So the lady says, so it shall be. Tri, let's set the tone shall we? Howl!" Adi commanded, Tri sitting on his haunches and letting out a battle cry.
"Now, now. We can't have too much of that. Taunt darling!"
Oh, so they couldn't do that again, claws came up, the Sneasel saying something that aggravated Tri and caused him to growl. No matter, that didn't nullify their attack boost. "If that's how you want to play, then that's how we'll play. Spark Tri! Let's make it a good one."
Tri, still growling, began to spark all over his body before he was running forward. The Sneasel darted off to the side, dodging and then Leering. So that was their plan, prevent the opposition from getting up stats boosts, then weakening their defense before striking with something more physical. "Yeah, I see what you're doing. It's a good idea. Just means we have to be quicker than you or catch you off guard." Adi mused out loud. Quick Attack would easily get that done, they just wanted to use it more sparingly. They could still probably use it once, maybe twice.
"Tri, Spark." Called out again, this time Tri managing to hit it as the Sneasel tried to Leer to soon. Another Spark was dodged. "Now Quick Attack." This time Tri was able to beat the Sneasel to the punch, dodging around a scratch and tackling it instead. But if they were taking the offensive now, then they didn't have to worry about them getting away. "Spark, and keep it up."
Back and forth it went, Tri just dodging a Scratch to hit the Sneasel with his Spark, or the other way around. But Tri had a bit more health, a bit more experience, and it was the Sneasel who fainted.
"Way to go Tri, come here bud." Adi gestured to the canine, bringing out a potion to heal him up a bit. "Thank you for that, that was sort of fun." Adi chuckled. "You did pretty well too. That was a cool strategy."
"Thank you! We are still practicing ourselves. Thank you for that, and sorry again. Please take these." The lady replied, calling back her Sneasel before coming up to Adi to give him some items. Some treats really, candies and honey. Then back off to town so that she could properly heal her own companion.
Adi thanked her, looking over the treats before smirking and offering a jar of honey to Liam. "Want some honey, Honey?" Adi teased playfully.
Now Adi was looking back to Liam, gathering his bags. "Do you remember which way that track was going?" The blonde asked before looking toward the way he had thought it had gone before they had gotten distracted.
