Silas hadn't planned on attending the party. There would be too many people in close proximity to him, not to mention all the Dark and Psychic type Pokemon that were around. But upon hearing that there was a maze with prizes to be won, his competitive spirit flickered to life. Flann seemed eager to attend, so he had grudgingly picked up a Blaziken costume for himself and went.
He adjusted the facemask as he entered the mansion, already uncomfortable due to the amount of people and Pokemon gathered nearby. He gave the ballroom a dirty look as he passed by, not liking the feeling the room was giving off. Oh, there was happiness and excitement and assorted pleasant emotions, but there was a darker undercurrent to them that had him guessing Ghost Pokemon were lurking nearby. The feeling faded slightly as he climbed the stairs and followed the directions given for the starting point of the maze.
Flann chirped in excitement as she spotted another person waiting by the door leading to the event, while Silas just sighed. "Here for the maze, too?" he asked once he was close enough. He had been hoping to do this by himself, but he supposed some help could be nice.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] There were a lot of Psychic and Dark type pokemon. The Psychic type had seemed to be willing to let her into their minds, but there were just so may it was starting to make her head hurt, so she had shut down the telepathic stream. She didn't want to hear it. Her egg had hatched, and well, she didn't even want to bring the little one out at the moment. She just wanted that silence that only the Dark pokemon seemed to give her. It was a blessing in disguise wasn't it. She sighed though as she walked the stairs to the maze. Perhaps doing something like this would make things a little easier on her?[break][break]She had reached the maze though, and wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to go in. She let others go before herself as she tried to decide, at least, until someone spoke to her. She looked at the Blaziken costume and nodded lightly. "Yes." Short, sweet, and simple. Just how she liked her conversations. She looked from Silas over to the maze and sighed. "Go together?" If he was careful, he could probably tell that she was nervous, not only from the maze, but from the social interaction as well. Perhaps she might need her pokemon sooner than she thought. She soon adjusted her Gardevoir mask as she waited to see what he thought.
Silas studied the person in front of him. She didn't seem particularly pleased to be going with him even after offering, and he was half tempted to decline and let her go alone. He shifted and tugged the hood of his costume higher as he considered the offer, finally agreeing with a quiet, "Sure."
Nervousness prickled through him, although he couldn't tell if it was from himself, her, or both of them. It certainly wasn't coming from Flann, for the Torchic chirped happily and pranced around the young woman before returning to his side. "Behave, please," he murmured, not wishing to annoy his new companion with his Pokemon's antics.
Moving to the door, he opened it and gestured for her to enter. "After you." He still had his manners, despite not introducing himself yet. Stepping in after her, he let the door fall closed and took a breath, curious to see what they would face.
You enter a room which at first appears eerily empty save for an ornate coffin lying in its center. You hear a faint sound from above, and realize the ceiling is littered with sleeping, hanging Golbat. There are three small puzzles attached to the coffin. Make a Dexterity roll so see if you can successfully align all the proper pieces. You only need to solve as many puzzles as there are players.
[attr="class","cinziatext"] She looked at the person through her Gardevoir mask before she fished in her bag and grabbed the single pokeball that she had. Of course, it had been empty but the moment Chimera hatched, it was filled. She released the young castform though and she relaxed a little bit. She looked at her feet though and saw a Torchic chirping and prancing around her. It made Cin chuckle lightly before she looked at the other person. "It's okay." Looking back down at the Torchic she smiled lightly. "Adorable Torchic." But now, it was time to move. She opened her mind up though, just so that Chimera could talk to her, which immediately happened. "You need to talk more Cinzia. People are going to think that you are rude. We don't need that." You know, for such a young Castform, she sure was bossy and serious.[break][break]"I know I am trying. It's just...hard Chimera." The Castform swirled around Cin's head as they followed the Blaziken. He held a door open for her and she smiled lightly and dipped her head, "Thank you." She walked into the room and that was when she saw a coffin. Well, this wasn't the best start to the room now was it. She looked around some more and saw some puzzles. How was this going to work exactly? Chimera made a soft sound to grab Cin's attention and she looked to see that the ceiling was filled with sleeping Golbats. Well then.
