Alright, good morning, Agate here, trying to go on a little journey... well, as "little" as he can that is. He's currently thinking to train his Pokemons more just in case... he heard that the road is perfect for meeting new trainers, fighting them, and then just... you know, have a relaxing morning with Pokemons? By the way, today he have several Pokemons that he wanted to train too, yes... and here hoping that he don't need to pull out the stronger ones of his team.
How the setup looked you ask? Well, good question... it's pretty much like this.
First is Kagari the Torchic... The second is Ragnard the Charmander... the third is Flamel the Fennekin. Three fire types? Yes. Yes, three fire types. They're all low levels too. Oh following them are Asty the Turtwig and Rhodonite the Bulbasaur. As much as he wanted to bring the sixth starter type with him, Elazul the Marshtomp, he was too high leveled. He decided to bring Rutile the Rockruff instead. So that's the six... it was a ridiculously unbalanced party, but at this point, who cares? He's just going to ride for a bit, and after that probably return home.... or if he have reached his destination, that's good too...
...Hm.
"Oh well whatever, time to see just how far can these party take me. If I lose, then so be it. if I win, that'd be amazing. Maybe I'll find some Pokemons here too? Hah, impossible I guess!" Party: Kagari the Torchic lv 7 Asty the Turtwig lv 16 Ragnard the Charmander lv 6 Flamel the Fennekin lv 10 Rhodonite the Bulbasaur lv 13 Rutile the Rockruff lv 12
AAAAND just as he wanted to pedal, he was suddenly stopped by a delinquent. She's asking for his money too! Oh, what on earth. That wasn't the thing that he wanted to do so early in the morning! Agate regardless stepped down from his bike and take out his Pokemons instead. The Delinquent, seem to be still thinking lowly of him, would send up Pansear first. Agate immediately sent out Rutile. Rutile still not strong enough to learn any rock moves, but even so... The moment the Pansear about to act, Rutile suddenly drove a sucker punch to the stomach! The Pansear coughed and reeled from the sudden attack, and used Fury Swipes! But being Rock Type it wasn't as effective to Rutile.
Expecting another Sucker Punch, it seems that the delinquent ordered the Pansear to use Leer... Too bad though. Rutile immediately Bite down, HARD! In panic, the Delinquent ordered the Pansear to use a fire move--one that was a bit too late as Rutile finished off the match with another Sucker Punch. After winning, the stone cub Pokemon howled.
The second match was between a Weavile and Agate's Flamel. Again, Agate's Pokemon was slower, but this time around the Delinquent is not taking any chances. She immediately ordered for Agility, which Flamel countered with Ember! It hits, but if this goes up, then Flamel would be outmatched. That's when Agate noticed that the Weavile did not use its ability. His eyes widened. Ember already launched, but it was too late! The Weavile took it and drove a punch toward Flamel, strongly damaging him. That was dangerous, very dangerous. Flamel was launched several meters away, but not before shooting his final Ember that sealed the match. Agate checked the Fox Pokemon. He's fine, and he's still able to fight, but he probably need a bit of a spray later.
The next match was between a Pincurchin and Rhodonite. Rhodonite seem to be spirited to be called for the first time! Yay, she's going to battle! But her opponent is in few levels higher than her... With that in mind, she began the first attack with Leech Seed. The Pincurchin in turn was ordered to use charge. Charge it is? She's not going to lose! Agate ordered for Rhodonite to use Growth! The Pincurchin released her Thunder Shock! ...Which only deals half the damage. Rhodonite countered with Razor Leaf! From there on it was only a battle between Razor Leaf and Thunder Shock. With Leech Seed in effect, the oddly colored Bulbasaur wasn't hurt all that bad, winning Agate the match.
"You all did good job! Let's hit the road again!" Agate defeated Delinquent Cornelia!

First thing first let he say this, but... where on earth does an Apricorn came out from this area? He didn't see any sort of trees around here, and that... is wild! Well, he can guess that there are some bird type Pokemons that dropped this over his head or something? Agate regardless was thankful for the Apricorn. He will probably grow this in his field... if he have time that is. For the meantime though he'll just farm berries and whatnot.
...Well, for the meantime though, Agate would once again pedal his bike after stashing the Apricorn. Let's see, let's see, who will came out next? He hope that it'll stay peaceful... Yeah, peaceful. The cold wind was his only answer, but even then, it felt great.
Kagari the Torchic lv 7 5/5 Asty the Turtwig lv 16 5/5 Ragnard the Charmander lv 6 5/5 Flamel the Fennekin lv 11 4/5 Rhodonite the Bulbasaur lv 14 4/5 Rutile the Rockruff lv 13 4/5
You feel a windstorm kicking up. Up and down the road, you see trainers struggling to keep hats on their heads, hair out of their faces - some of them are even having trouble staying on their bikes. With your aura sight, you see strange colors blow by on the wind.
And just as quickly as it began, the storm is gone.
"Totally gnarly weather, eh?" a lad says, approaching you. "Yahoo! This is getting me fired up for a Pokemon battle!"
Agate definitely felt it... There are something that caused a sudden strong gust of wind. It's almost like a windstorm... There are also strange auras in the air... As much as he wanted to follow, the trace gone too fast for him to track. However, just to be sure, Agate licked the tip of his index finger and put it up to the air, just to check if he could trace where the wind blew just he can be sure...
But looks like the result going to wait as there are someone who's challenging him! Agate grinned. "Sorry, but I want to make this quick, think you can defeat me that quickly... or should I defeat you that quickly?" he teased.
"Oh, you got a mouth on you! But that's fine, a good rival should have good spirits! Come and face me! Three on three! I saw you beat that delinquent woman just now!"
"Hmph, cunning, but very well. I'll humor you!"
The first to come out is a Sneasel. Wow, another? Wait, the one before was a Weavile. Agate called out his first Pokemon for the match... whcih is, Kagari.
"Muh, she looked weak, will she be alright?"
"Don't you look down on Kagari. She's a hardworking girl."
"Is that so? Well, if you said so..."
Kagari doesn't seem to appreciate being looked down on either. The Sneasel purposely taunted her. The gentle Kagari normally did not easily get taunted, but this one... this one Sneasel dared to badmouth her trainer! Without being commanded, Kagari let out series of Embers at full power! It hits the Sneasel, but it obviously won't go down that easily. If Agate is right, it needs about two more hits to knock it down for real. it followed with Quick Attack, which hurts Kagari, but not enough to knock her down. Seven levels are harsh, but even then Quick Attack's damage aren't so significant. Kagari let out another Ember, hitting the Sneasel, and sending it flying... but immediately, it came back with another quick attack... probably because it thinks that Kagari is too weak and does not want to injure her too much. Kagari's size definitely would disarm a lot of people, but even then... the usually gentle Torchic tanked the attack, and blasted another ember at the opponent, sealing her the win.
The next to be called out is a Ponyta. Agate sent out Rutile once again. Rutile howled to start the battle. The Ponyta attempted to use double kick, but Rutile dodged it! She don't want to get hit by those at all! She immediately followed her attack with Bite! The attack caused the Ponyta to flinch, to which she immediately continued to attack with another Bite! Unfortunately, her luck is sorta over. The first of the Double Kick hits her, causing her to reel in pain. That... hurts! If she got health bar, this is orange already...
Agate ordered Rutile to finish the fight with Sucker Punch, winning her the match. Still, it's concerning... He guess he will ask her to hold an item later.
The final one was an Elekid. Agate is wondering whether his third pokemon... Ragnard would like to battle... He's... he never find battle to be especially enjoyable.
However, after seeing him training, Agate can't deny him of that fight. He called out Ragnard.
"...At the very least this one seem to be a proper fight!" the rising star would comment.
"Ragnard, there's no need to get hasty, alright? Stay calm..." Agate tried to pacify his Charmander. Ragnard hugged his tail, as if trying to protect it... has the Skarmories caused mental trauma to that extent?
But there's no time to think. Leer from the opposing party is called. Agate issued Ember. A bit dirty, but Ragnard purposely hits the Elekid on the eyes! The Elekid reeled from pain. Ragnard once again shot another Ember, only for the Elekid to counter with Thunder Shock! It was effective! The Charmander screamed in pain... but, his eyes resolutely looked at the Elekid. He's scared, he's really scared, but he wanted to make his trainer proud. He finished the battle with one more Ember, winning him the match.
"...Whew... thanks for the battle, and sorry about Ragnard..."
"I never thought that your Pokemon would do that... but that's a bit eye opening! Thanks for the good match!"
And so the team returned to their journey... Agate wondered where on earth does that wind blow? cLmH_lBrp_ if success, boost to Profession (Survivalist)

Well, he lost the direction of the wind! Dagnabit all! Well, for the meantime though he should probably pedal more... to the opposite direction of the wind to see what's up... but to his surprise, there is someone who stopped him midway. He looked... strong, if Agate can say...
"That young boy over there, would you like to spar with me?" the Ace Trainer asked.
"...I'm not sure if I'm strong enough for that," Agate admitted.
"But your eyes are saying that you're chasing for something... An answer perhaps? If you're looking for something so lofty, yet said that you're not strong enough, how do you wish to obtain it then? ...How about this, if you lose, you don't have to pay anything. If you win I'll hand over some of my pen to you, oh and these items of course. what do you say, boy?"
Agate looked at his Pokemons. Their aura does not indicate them rejecting. It's a deal it seems. "...Rutile, go."
The one who Agate called is Rutile. However, before she could be fully launched, Agate slipped in a Figy Berry with her. Rutile squared off against a... Mareanie it seem.
"Hmm, this one is difficult," the Ace Trainer commented. "But it's surprising that you would toss out a Rockruff against a Mareanie which is Poison/Water. Aren't you worried about water attacks?"
"If it comes to it, then Rutile could handle it," Agate answered firmly. "I have trust in Rutile."
"Admirable," the trainer answered.
The first shot called. Agate called for Sand Attack. Rutile quickly whipped some sand attack at the Mareanie... who somehow managed to hit Rutile with a Bite! Rutile yelped in pain, but the Figy berry on her managed to heal her enough to bounce back. Now that her energy has been restored, once again she's ordered for Sand Attack. This time it was enough for the Ace Trainer's Mareanie's Sludge Bomb to miss. Rutile followed up with a Bite!
"Hmm, that's troublesome," the Ace trainer commented. "Oh well, you guessed correctly that my Mareanie have no water attack, but... I think it's time..."
...Agate noticed that white Rutile are biting the Mareanie, the battlefield are dotted with poison barbs. Crap. Rutile won the first match, but like this, Agate can't call out his next Pokemon to switch.
The second one... is also Mareanie? But this one is slower! Agate who had no choice ordered Rutile for another bite--- only for the Pokemon to reveal itself as a Zorua! Oh drats, using Bite wasn't the best option like that after all. The Zorua... cried? Fake tears... No choice. Rutile howled as her opponent fake cried, more and more... until about thrice. The Zorua released a Poison Type Hidden Power while Rutile attacked with a Bite--!
Rutile won the match, but her condition wasn't the best after all. Agate quickly approached her to praise her for a job well done before feeding her with Oran Berry. There, it should be good enough for the meantime. The wind, he lost track of it. Where did it go to? Where did it vanished to? Where is the strange aura that comes with it? He had no idea, and honestly he wanted to know what's going on. What was that aura? Why it felt so different and odd? He had no idea and honestly he just want to chase it... to find out what's going on. Why so early? Why here? No idea, but... if he have something he knew, he saw a youngster with a Marshtomp winning against another trainer in Pokemon battle.
"Huh, is that you Glen?" Agate greeted the younger boy.
"Oooh! Isn't it Aniki!"
So he was right. Glen is a youngster from Hoenn. He moved with his family few months ago, and was one who saw Agate trained the three fighting Pokemons. From that point on apparently he wanted to be like Agate in many way. He tried to emulate Agate, training together, sometimes eating together, and at times even saying that he will watch over Agate's Pokemon while he's not around... and it reminds him how he was like that with his cousin Borzil too. It made him felt nostalgic, heh.
"Did you felt the wind from before?" Agate asked.
"Wind? What wind?"
...is it local? Agate blinked at his answer. "...Well, whatever, I... just feel there's something really bad looming... You should go home."
"Whaaat! But isn't it you who said that I need to have balanced training! I'm training right now!"
"Yeah and I'm saying your life is more important than that. I don't want you to fell over the bridge because of the wind."
"But what about you huh?"
As expected, he won't back down... But suddenly, like a strike of inspiration, the youngster pointed at Agate. "OK, how's this then... If you win two on two against me, I'll go back... not only that I'll give you this winning I got from the other trainer just now. Gold, Iron, Bluk Berry..."
"Oi, oi, I don't like the sound of it."
"Just hear me out! If I win, you can't tell me to go, and I'll come with you!"
"....All the more reason for me to win then. Sorry, Glen."
"Say that after you've won against me! Go, Thievul!"
Thievul... If he recalls it right, his Thievul is pretty strong... the stronger of his three Pokemons. His Marshtomp is recovering huh... In that case... Agate quickly put on an Exp Share on Ragnard, then fed Asty a Pinap Berry.
"Asty, go," the first that Agate called out is Asty. Both trainer is at advantage and disadvantage. Agate knows what moves does Glen's Thievul have, and Glen knows what Asty knows too.
"Hone Claw-!" "Razor Leaf!"
The two orders carried out. Asty send out razor leaves that whittled Glen's Thievul as he ordered her to increase her attack. If he recall it right, Glen's model would be...
"Quick Attack-!" "Razor Leaf at close range, Asty!"
The quick attack hits but the razor leaf also hits. The last one was one the one that will decide the match.... Asty still held her ground, and is ready for another.
"Beat Up--" "Absorb!"
The moment that the Thievul and the Staravia came to beat up Asty, Agate immediately ordered Asty to absorb some health from the Thievul. That small margin was enough to knock it cold. Asty meanwhile could walk out of the battle with not as much injury as expected. Whew. With Pinap Berry, Asty immediately gained two level and evolved! She's now a Grotle!
"Kuh... Alright, next! Staravia!"
Round two is about to begin it seems.
Last Edit: Jun 18, 2020 4:38:18 GMT by Agate Valyn
Staravia is weaker than Thievul, but at the same time with a third of Agate's Pokemon are grass type, it's a bit of a pinch. Though it's not like as if he doesn't have a fighter in mind for this one. "Rutile, you go again," Agate ordered, but not before feeding her with Pinap Berry too. Feeling energized, Rutile heads to fight the Staravia. First, the Staravia started with a quick attack--only for Rutile to counter with a Sucker Punch!
"Wha---!"
"Did you think I'll be starting the battle with Sand Attack? You're thinking too lowly of me, Glen. Like I told you don't just focus on what your opponent will do, you have to think what they will do in response to your action!"
Glen gritted his teeth. "Alright then, Double Team--!" "Bite!"
Double Team is a move that can increase evasion, hence there's a bigger chance for Rutile's bite to not hit obviously... but in this case...
sB_f|x8Sp_
Ugh, it missed! Glen seem to be quite happy with this outcome. Did he thought that he already won? He ordered a Wing Attack, but Agate once again ordered a Sucker Punch.
"Wha-- a sucker punch again!?"
"Your bad habit is to let your thoughts shows on your face when thing goes in your favor. You'd want to swoop in with the best kind of attack that you have!"
Glen was read. He probably did not thought that Agate is reading him to that extent, but... Agate is serious when he's training someone. Be it Pokemon or human he'll be serious in training them. Training, self improvement, all of that are important for him. He want everyone to do their best when it comes to self improvement. That's why he attentively paid attention to his 'disciple' even if it just surface wise looked like a joke or him humoring the boy.
"Don't be too sure now! Staravia, Wing A--ah!"
Too late. Agate ordered another sucker punch that won him the match. "...Drats..."
"You got too heated, Glen. You did well, but you really got too heated up. At that point your opponent will control the flow, not you. You have to wrestle for control. Ride the wave, like what Brawly said, eh?"
"Of all times you just have to remind me of my favorite gym leader!" Glen pouted. "Either way, a promise is a promise... I'm angry, but I guess it can't be hlped... dangit..."
"Cheer up, Glen. You're doing well, you know? Sorry, I just need you to return home before some bad things happened. I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't stop you."
"...'dat so...? Alright, here's your winning... I'm going to go home now."
"Careful on your way!" Asty gained two levels! lv 16 -> lv 18! Evolved! Rutile gained two levels! lv 16 -> Lv 18! Through Exp Share, Ragnard Gained two levels! lv 7 -> Lv 9 Two Pinap Berries consumed (for Asty and Rutile)

He could have sworn he has been in this route for quite a long while now, but he still haven't seen that strange wind... He wanted to chase it, but for some reason he's already lost how to... Drats. Just as he was about to gave up on it and probably decide to turn tail... he saw a Bird Keeper... Score!
"Hello!" Agate greeted the bird keeper that currently feeding his Pidgey.
"Hmm? What do you want, kid? Don't tell me you're here for Pokemon battle?"
"Errr, I'm not up for a Pokemon Battling, at least if you don't want to, but I want to ask for a help. I'm trying to sense a strange wind..."
"Strange... wind?" the man parroted.
"Yes, strange wind. It blew out of sudden and now I have no idea where it came from or where it goes to! It's just... there you got what I mean?"
"No, sorry..." that was anticlimatic. "But if you won against me in Pokemon battling, I will consider it... no, actually... let's just say I wanted to test your character. I saw you fighting back there down the road... you looked experienced enough despite your team not so much so. So what about it? Do you want to fight my Pokemon for a chance of finding this 'wind' that you felt? I have Natu..."
Natu... he heard the evolution Xatu could possibly see the future... In that case...
"I accept!"
With the two on agreement, the first battle was between a Skarmory and Flamel. Just in case, Agate fed her Pinap Berry. Having Skarmory himself, Agate knows what he should do when it comes to fighting against Skarmory. The Skarmory was ordered to use Air Cutter. Agate quickly ordered for Flamel to dodge. Flamel's own training against Schera sort of helped him knowing what to do when dodging Air Cutter. The moment even before he landed, he launched Embers. It however opened a chance for the Skarmory to retaliate with a Peck. Flamel was hit, but he quickly countered once more with Ember. Go for broke if your strategy is working, is what he have in mind at the moment. Just one more hit and it'll be his win... but looks like it wasn't going to be smooth sailing. When Flamel thought that the Skarmory about to use another Air Cutter, it instead used the initial wind buildup as a feint, and attacked with Metal Claw. Having no chance to dodge, Flamel instead bravely blasted embers straight at the Skarmory's chest. The Metal claw glanced, but it was enough to damage him... This going to be a warning health alright...
"That was quite good. Now, the next one... what would you do with this?"
...A Wingul. That's a tricky one. If he sent out Rutile, it would be right because she can tank the flying type attack, but at the same time, water type attack going to weaken her a lot. On top of that... She have yet to learn any Rock Type moves...
..No choice. He sent Asty out. The bird keeper smiled.

If possible, Agate wanted to reach the end with six of his teams intact. He wished that strongly. But with how it goes at the moment, it's a bit hard. The Wingul is ordered to do a Supersonic, a move that could confuse with low hit rate.
79kJCzjcp_
While it hits Asty, it does not confuse her! Agate quickly ordered a Razor Leaf. Not discouraged, the bird keeper ordered for another Supersonic. Agate not sure if he could keep that moves from keep hitting. He need to order for another sort of move, but what? Just as he thought that, the result of the moves
p_
Was that Asty managed to once again hits the Wingul with her Razor leaf! With no choice, the bird keeper ordered for Water Pulse. By then though it was already too late, because Asty won the match with another Razor Leaf. The last one was a Natu...
"Wait, if I beat that one wouldn't it become useless anyway?" Agate asked to the Bird Keeper, to which he just smiled and raised a revive.
"...If you say so."
The last one that Agate used for the match is... Rutile. Once again, Agate strapped a Figy berry on her just in case. The Natu was ordered to use Ominous Wind, which immediately put Rutile's health in warning zone, but not before the Rockruff managed to drove a sucker punch to the Natu. With the Figy berry, she managed to bounce back, but even then, if he didn't finish this quickly, it'll be dangerous...
Agate ordered Rutile for another Sucker Punch, which... for some reason hits? Could it be that the trainer...
"Looks like you won the guess. Indeed, Natu doesn't have status moves that could turn this around. It's your win, boy."
Agate sighed in relief. He won... that was close.
"As promised would you please lend me your Natu?" Agate asked. The man looked at the newly revived Natu and looked at it, asking at it to perhaps check the direction of the wind. But... looks like it's no go. The Natu does not have any clues it seemed. If it's Xatu then it's a possibility, but as a Natu, probably not at all, huh... Agate sighed and stretched his body. Oh well... How far is he from the next town anyway? He better find it before something bad happened.
