With more rural or otherwise smaller towns, it wasn't uncommon for wild pokemon to wander on in and make themselves at home. Fuji Town was no different; the farm fields often drawing in hungry wild pokemon who hope for an easy snack, the lack of a proper hustle and bustle leading to more bold pokemon wandering in on their own, and the spacious barns making for easy places for one to hide out if they so desired. Of course, though, these wild pokemon aren't always welcome for obvious reasons; being that they're eating what they're not supposed to, that they're getting into where they're not supposed to, or that they're fighting others that they're not supposed to!
In the case of today, it would be a mix of the first two reasons; a small group of Zubat having made themselves at home up in the attic of a barn, and munching on a nearby orchard's fruits. Seeing this as an easy way to make some quick money, and perhaps even as a way to meet a new friend, Makoto would be more than happy to take up the job; entering the barn, with Kuro at their heels.
"Alright, darling..." Makoto would murmur, bending down to scoop Kuro up in one arm, as they began to climb up the ladder, and up into the attic. "Let's see what we have to deal with, to start..." Already, they could see that it was relatively dim up here - the only light being through an open window that was no-doubt how the Zubat were getting in and out of here. Glancing about, Makoto would try to gauge two things: Were the Zubat home right now? And if so, what were they up to? NQRp|Uawp_
The Zubat are indeed home! Several of them are piling purloined berries onto the attic floor, while one of them is rooting through the berries and inspecting them to see if they're any good or not. Upon finding a particularly pungent-smelling one, it let out a cheer, the Zubat crowding around and taking ravenous bites out of it.
Oh no. That wasn't just pungent smelling. That berry smelled fermented.

First things first, it seemed that the Zubat were definitely home; flitting about, and piling berries onto the floor nearby. The sweet smell in the air had a pungent undertone, one that'd make Kuro rub his nose a little with his paw, letting out a gentle whine. Makoto would pat Kuro on the head to reassure him, smiling sympathetically. It was a bit of an overpowering smell for them, too, admittedly. But they had a plan on how to handle these Zubat, and to lure them back out into the wild, so...
... Wait... Were these Zubat... getting themselves drunk..?!
Certainly, Makoto knew that these berries were a bit pungent-smelling; though as the realization hit them, they were split between laughter and groaning. They'd soon settle on the latter, though; because of course, this was likely to cause some trouble, no matter how hilarious the idea of a bunch of drunken bats was. "Well... This is going to be interesting..." They'd murmur to Kuro; glancing down to the Zorua. "Let's stick to the plan, and play it by ear if things go awry. Go ahead and get their attention like we practiced, darling."
Kuro, admittedly, was a little nervous at the idea of trying to get a bunch of drunken Zubat to follow him, but... Nodding in response, he'd take a few steps forward, towards the bat pokemon, and - using his illusions - proceed to make a keening cry, as though he were another Zubat! He'd attempt to call them over, saying that he's found more berries, and would begin running back to Makoto - checking to see if they'd follow after him.
Makoto, meanwhile, would look the Zubat over - seeing if any of them in particular stood out or caught their eye. OOC: I'd like stats for the three zubat rolled, please! Gonna try befriending one of them later!
Your plan succeeds! The three Zubat dogpile onto Kuro - albeit a little awkwardly due to their trouble flying in a straight line - and wait for him to lead them.

As the Zubats proceed to practically try to dogpile on him, Kuro would be unable to help a startled yelp - backing away a short distance, only for the bats to continue following him! Makoto couldn't help a slight sweat - though would pull out a bag to scoop up the berries that the Zubat had gathered, in hopes of using it to continue luring the Zubat along, if Kuro ends up unable to hold their attention for any reason.
Once the barn is tidied of the berries, Makoto and Kuro would soon begin leading the Zubat out of the barn - Kuro continuing to pretend to be a Zubat all the while - as they began moving out into the forest that surrounded Fuji Town! Makoto had figured out where some wild berry trees were growing, a ways away from Fuji Town - and hopefully, once they got the Zubat settled out here, the bats would see no reason to wander back into town when they have a home with a plentiful source of, uhm, berries to ferment, they supposed?
The idea of drunken Zubats was still rather ridiculous to them; but hopefully, things would go without a hitch. iqQmJvoHp_

The Zubat chirp among themselves and seem to be having a rather loud conversation amongst each other now. Too bad they weren't saying anything interesting even in Poke-speach. Silly goofy bats. Looks like you're coming up to some nice trees.
So far so good; Makoto was able to gather together the Zubats' hoard of food without arousing any suspicion or attention, and the bats eagerly followed after Kuro's lead - even if it was a practical dogpile of bats, much to the poor fox's chagrin. One thing was for certain; Kuro was getting plenty of caramels, once this job was over.
And speaking of ending the job... It seemed that they would, before long, come across the grove that Makoto had found - a nice and cozy little area, with a large tree and a few scattered berry trees as well. Hopefully this would be a much more preferable habitat for the Zubats - and for the farmers, as well. The last thing they needed was for these drunken zubats to return straight to the barn!
Kuro, sighing in relief, would call to the Zubats to stop; stating that this place seemed like a far superior home to the barn. Though he wasn't entirely sure if they'd even notice him, over their own chittering! Ah well... Makoto, in any case, would dump the bag that they had used to transport the berries out in a nice cranny under the large tree, figuring that the Zubats would decide where they wanted to put the berries on their own time.
Though, before the trainer made to leave... They'd notice one of the zubats - a larger specimen, who had caught their eye before. Approaching this Zubat in particular, Makoto would pull out an Ultra Ball - offering it to the bat. "Y'know, darling... You seem like a pleasant fellow to spend time with, and I think that I have a few pokemon who'd share in your interests of a good meal, and a good fly around the forest. Would you be interested in coming with me, on our adventures?"
They'd probably have to help break this Zubat of his drunken habit if he agreed; the last thing they'd want is to get in trouble for having a drunk pokemon, after all. But, the idea of flying through the skies with a Crobat was an appealing one... Or, at least, a sober Crobat. cgzX14qhp_
Catching the Large Zubat with an Ultra Ball! Finishing the job here if the catch succeeds.
