Setting Liz in the basket, Gabe had started to peddle on his bike again at a reasonable pace. I definitely have to buy more incense when I get the chance…. was stored in his mind for later. Heh… or ‘buy’. He rolled along that way for a while until a flash of yellow on the side caught both his and Liz’s eyes. Running up alongside them was… a smiley looking Jolteon who stopped as they both did.
“My, aren’t you friendly,” Gabe smirked a little. The happy creature barked back and shook out his fur as if to agree. Gabe glanced to Liz who rolled her eyes once before smiling in turn. Kicking down the kickstand and easing Liz out of the basket, Gabe turned to the Jolteon right after. The Jolteon tilted his head one way and then another before pawing the ground and whining a bit. “Is there something you want?” Gabe teased softly. How endearing. Strange, but endearing.
Slowly reaching forward, Gabe scratched the ears of the Pokemon. The Jolteon sparked a little in response, and Gabe’s hand moved right after. Prickly… “Do you want to battle then?” Gabe grinned a little. The Jolteon pawed the ground and bounced up and down bowing low and wagging his non-existant tail. Well now how could anyone refuse a face like that??? Wait a second was he using Baby-Doll Eyes on him??? Gabe??? A human??? Hah… Well now. How devious.
Gabe glanced at Liz but found her a little worn from the constant battle. He couldn’t really throw Leonardo into this either, really. Hm, actually. He knew of one just as energetic and playful as this one. Shifting around his Pokeballs and releasing Kitty the Litleo, Gabe waited a moment for her to paw around and look at things. As expected, Kitty zeroed in on this new friend and went bounding forward to greet him. They bounced around happily and seemed to take turns knocking into one another and laughing. They were… a good fit, heh. Too bad Gabe had other plans.
“Kitty, focus,” Gabe called. The Litleo looked back and straightened a little. The Jolteon whined, his ears folding down and his eyes growing bit. “Fire Fang,” Gabe ordered. Kitty hesitated but did what she was told. The Jolteon yelped and backed up a little looking even more sad than before. Kitty felt terrible! She kept looking back at Gabe and then forward again as orders were given. At one point, the Jolteon even began to cry, and Kitty started to cry. Gabe sighed and rolled his eyes, fishing out a Pokeball and throwing it at the Jolteon.
Using a Great Ball.
