For the past while, Andrew had been taking up a variety of odd jobs. Primarily, these jobs had been pokemon-based; walking pokemon, washing them, training them... He enjoyed these sorts of jobs - partially because they required minimal human interaction (beyond actually picking up the job,) and primarily because it allowed him to work with pokemon. What could make his day any better, than being paid to do the things he loved, after all?
Today though, he would end up with a bit of a different job - a job to deliver a letter to another trainer, who was out on Route 2. The job had, honestly, taken him a bit by surprise - and he wasn't sure why exactly the individual had picked him to do it, but... He didn't exactly have the courage or heart to decline the job, even if it didn't exactly seem up his alley. Thankfully though, he would be given a bike to help with the job as compensation - which hopefully meant that this job wouldn't take too long, in the grand scheme of things.
Inari would file in alongside Andrew as he seated himself on the bike; visibly ready to go, as he began to pedal on down the road. Hopefully the recipient trainer won't be too chatty... A53Lhi8Zp_ 29/200 Points 1/5 Posts

As you ride down the path, you see numerous Pokemon out and about going about their daily lives with some reserve but otherwise normalacy. That is, at least, until you see a strange gathering of what appear to be a mix of Krabby and Kingler out along the beach. They seem peaceful... for now...
Riding along, Andrew couldn't help a faint smile as he admired the wide varieties of pokemon that he passed by - each and every one going about their day. Perhaps this job wouldn't be so bad; getting to be out and about, and getting to see the local wildlife, was quite pleasant! Even Inari seemed to enjoy getting to be out and about; it had been awhile since she had a good run, so Andrew couldn't blame her for wanting to run ahead a few paces every so often; prompting a light chuckle from him.
As they rode along though, he would - eventually - come across a bit of an odd sight, which prompted him and Inari to both slow down and observe. Were those... Krabby and Kingler? Certainly, they were pokemon that one would expect to find on the beach - but in such quantities was a little bit odd and concerning. What were they up to..?
It seemed that another pokemon of Andrew's had the same question in mind - and was raring to answer it - though; Claude popping right out of his pokeball, and attempting to approach the gathered crabs with clicking claws! Andrew was fast to react, though; scooping up the scuttling lobster before he could wander off too far. "W-woaaah there, Claude..." He'd murmur; holding the Clauncher on his lap, so that he wouldn't wander off again. "Let's, uhm, not aggravate the local wildlife today, please?"
Hopefully, if he just kept cycling along, these crab pokemon won't give them any trouble... 3MeKZn4yp_ 106/200 Points 2/5 Posts
One of the Kingler turned around to stare at Andrew and Claude, but as the biker continued on, it slowly turned around again. Whatever was going on was left to the imagination! Right, though, where was that person you were truing to find? As you cycle onwards, you come up behind a young woman who will seem rather confused if you mention looking for someone but will then say she actually saw such a person up ahead some ways!
As the Kinger turned to face them both of them, Claude would - initially - attempt to approach once more; aggressively clicking his claws in the assembled crabs' direction! Thankfully, Andrew was able to keep a firm grip on the Clauncher - one arm wrapped around the lobster pokemon, and opposite hand holding onto one of the handlebars, as he rode off; being quick to avoid any confrontations.
Once the assembled crab cult turned away, and soon fell out of sight... Only then could Andrew relax, as Claude began to calm down, instead idly clicking his claws in frustration. "S-sorry, buddy..." He'd murmur to the lobster, patting him on the head. "Just in a bit of a hurry; we can do a bit of sparring with another pokemon later, okay...?" Claude, in response, would click his claws a few more times - but seemed to calm down and accept this, returning to his pokeball. Andrew, in turn, would let out a sigh of further relief; glad that the fighty lobster was cooperating somewhat.
As he continued to cycle along, though, Andrew would soon notice someone else on the road - a young woman. She didn't appear to match the description of the trainer he was looking for - though he still, briefly, considered asking her. And yet, as he tried to open his mouth, as though to speak ...
... Almost as soon as he tried to speak, a lump of anxiety in his throat would stop him. What was he doing - he shouldn't be bothering her, especially when she was just minding her own business. And yet, asking around should help narrow down where the trainer was, right? It wouldn't hurt to just ask a quick question, right? The worst she could say was that she didn't know where the person was, right...? So...
... Why couldn't he just speak up already - why wouldn't the icy weight in his gut and the lump in his throat go away...? How hard was it to just ask if she had seen any other trainers recently? Inari, noticing this anxiety, would try to nuzzle against his leg - but it seemed that even her comforting presence wasn't quite enough for him to muster up the confidence to speak up.
Before long, the young woman would notice his gaze on her, and glance his way - and near immediately, Andrew tensed; hands tightly gripping the handlebars. Come on, come on, say something - anything...! Dumbly, he'd sit there with his mouth half-open, as though to speak up - but no words came out. Only when the woman would raise an eyebrow at him that he'd snap back to life; quickly realizing that he was being weird, that he was probably being creepy, that he should just move on. "S-sorry..."
... Without another word, he'd ride off, even as the shame pinpricked at his eyes and tightened his throat. Inari would gently whine in concern, but he'd shake his head. "I... I'm okay." He'd near-whisper to his partner; even as he couldn't bring himself to look her in the eye right now.
Maybe next time, he'd think to himself - though how many time's he's said it by now, only Arceus knew... X4Xn2thLp_ 153/200 Points 3/5 Posts
Speeding along again, you find the road to be littered with broken foliage and trash. There appears to have been some sort of skirmish here?? Be careful when navigating around some of them! There are holes in the ground as well as things above ground to trip your bike up on!
As Andrew rode along, he'd gradually regain his composure; returning back to a neutral state, even if he still felt a pang of shame in his gut for running off like that. He'd nonetheless shove it down though, instead letting out a heavy sigh; trying to pay attention to the road ahead, in lieu of worrying over his messup any further... Though he, perhaps, didn't pay well enough attention; the bike suddenly lurching beneath him, as he rolled over a piece of debris..! "W-woah..!"
Nearly falling over, Andrew would have to come to a stop - placing a foot on the ground as he briefly surveyed what looked to have been the site of a brief fight - though what sort of fight, he had no clue. Even Inari would curiously sniff the air, yet be unable to come to a solid conclusion - idly pawing at one of the pieces of debris scattered about. Did the trainer they were looking for get into a scuffle...?
It was hard to say, though either way, Andrew would be very careful as he made his way across the debris-scattered zone; walking the bike at a brisk pace as opposed to riding it. Only when he managed to reach the other side would Andrew hop back onto his bike; the duo continuing onwards, Andrew sparing a brief glance backwards - as if hoping to get a glimpse of what caused all of this. nqDUWGPBp_ 238/200 Points 4/5 Posts
You look around for whatever had caused the wreckage, but you don't see it.... There's an uncomfortable air that has you speeding on a little faster now. And hey up ahead! Is that the trainer you're looking for?
At the lack of any sign of the perpetrator, Andrew couldn't help but feel a brief chill down his spine; an uncomfortable sense that something here wasn't right. Maybe... Maybe he shouldn't be looking for what caused this mess. Inari, too, seemed to have a similar feeling in her gut; her ears flicking every which way with a visible sense of unease, as if she was hoping to hear whatever might've been lurking about here before it became aware of either of them.
Either way, the duo would trust in their gut instincts, and would be quick to vacate the area; only waiting until the debris-ridden mess was well behind them and out of sight for either boy or fox to relax. "Geez..." Andrew would soon mutter with a heavy sigh, the nervousness leaking out of his body as he glanced behind him one last time. Inari would agree with a nervous yawn of her own; shaking her body out briefly, before nuzzling against Andrew's leg. He would, in turn, gently pet her head and smile; wondering out loud "Wonder what that whole mess was about... Kind of gave me the creeps..."
Thankfully though, it seemed that their job was just about over. Off in the distance, he could see an individual on the road - an individual that he would hope was the trainer he was trying to look for. Perking up a little at this, he would pick up the pace once more - eager to get this over with, so that he could head back to Bass City...
Maybe Elliot would know something, about the mess he had passed by before... Not rolling since I already hit 200 - closing the thread with 5 posts though!
(I was already sent the bike/rare candies, so please don't send me duplicates XD I do need the 200 pen though)
