It was a fine afternoon, slightly hot, but not as hot when the sun was up. The sky has slowly turned orange, signing the coming of dust. Vert is currently riding on Prados. She got... a little bit of a delivery. She felt like if she go right now it's much less hotter than if she go to Ash City during morning or midday... Granted, she's pretty sure that her brother and parents would not stop nagging at her if they knew she's going to Ash at sundown like this... But hey, whatever. She felt like being adventurous for once!
"At least this time around I have checked the weather forecast! And it says that today there will be no freak rain or storm! Well, that's good don't you think, Prados?"
The Tropius let out a spirited groan. On Vert's lap there is Alyn the Eevee and Ran the Fomantis They're also enjoying the wind from Prados' flight. By the way, as of why Vert only have three Pokemons out this time around... the reason is that she's carrying three eggs with her today. A Comfey and a Natu egg... and of all thing, her brother gave her a Swablu Egg. Here hoping they will hatch well! But for the meantime, the party and Vert herself is just going to have fun with her slow journey, hoping to find something during the way... whatever it was.

With a gentle nudge of their heel, Makoto would direct Yurei down the road; the ghostly Stantler plodding along at a casual and steady pace, temporarily sated with a bribe of some fruits, some vegetables, and a handful of caramels. Or, at least, Makoto hoped she was sated - it seemed that no matter how much Yurei ate, she always had room for more! She was cooperative and willing, at least; Makoto had yet to be dumped onto the road, after all, with the Stantler's ability to go incorporeal.
On Makoto's lap, Kuro would be curled up, tail idly and lazily swishing as he watched the surroundings slowly pass by. His gaze was halflidded - visibly relaxed, at the easygoing pace they were going. All the while, Tengu and Esper were respectively flying and floating after; the ebony Pidgey practicing his songs with gentle melodious tweets, while Esper was just... well... Esper. Makoto wasn't entirely sure what Esper's deal was yet - given that the Abra was very quiet and barely reacted to much; though they hope that they'd be able to get to know him more, by bringing him with on the trip.
In lieu of bringing Kama and Tachi along, though... There would instead be two eggs - Litleo eggs - positioned on Makoto's lap. After having mulled it over and talked to a breeder some, Makoto had made the decision to pick up a couple instead of hunting for a Litleo - figuring that it'd be easier than hunting for a wild Litleo. Either way, if they did end up finding a Litleo on the road, they didn't mind having three little cubs to look after; a male Pyroar would probably love to have a pride to look after, after all.
As they made their way down the road, though... Yurei would soon have her attention drawn by something; raising her head, sniffing the air, and picking up the pace a bit! Makoto and Kuro would both notice this first - the duo giving the ghost-type a quizzical look, as Makoto questioned "What's got your attention, darling?"
What had Yurei's attention, it seemed, was a Tropius - and a large one, at that - up in the air..! Makoto was a little confused at first - wondering what about the grass-type was so interesting to Yurei - but... Before long, realization would dawn on them, and they'd be unable to help a gentle laugh. Yurei was interested in the fruits that grow on a Tropius' neck! "Darling, you just ate a big meal before we left - are you still hungry?" The trainer questioned with another chuckle, to which Yurei simply snorted; eyes locked on Prados, as she tried to follow from below.
Makoto could only sigh and shake their head; letting Yurei continue along, given that she was still on track, at least. So much for keeping her focused, huh? Note: Please ignore Yurei's levels when rolling encounters!

Prados sensed... someone seem to be interested on him, in perhaps a predatory way. It's something like what a Pokemon can sense... Below he looked at quite a creepy looking Stantler, seem to be intent on following him... ah, could it be that he wanted to eat fruits on his neck? The mangos seem to be enticing after all. He won't blame them! Prados let out a low groan at Vert, seem asking permission at her to descend.
"Oh, what's that Prados? You want to descen--" and Vert finally saw the Stantler. Oh dear. "Ah, looks like that one wanted something to do with you, is that so?" a nod from the Tropius. "Alright then. Let's greet them!"
Vert and Prados immediately descended. The Tropius landed with a thud. Four meters is quite tall now that she think of it... The mango on the Tropius' chin shook slightly from the descend. Vert slides down with the help of the Tropius' wings, accompanied by Alyn who let out several Eevee cries like trying to appear intimidating. Behind her Ran is both trying to calm her down while seem to be trying to either run or fight...
But Vert instead opted to pluck a mango from Prados' neck and offered it at the incoming Arcielan Stantler. "...You looked like you want this, don't you?" Prados the Tropius lv 5 Alyn the Eevee lv 1 Ran the Fomantis lv 1 Swablu Egg 2/15 Natu Egg 2/3 Comfey Egg 2/3
As the massive Tropius began to descend downwards, Yurei's pace picked up once more into a canter - seemingly eager to meet the Grass-Type... Or, at least, meet the fruits that were sure to be growing on his neck. Makoto couldn't help another gentle sigh, simply adjusting their grip on her in case the Stantler increased speeds again! Kuro, though, seemed to snuggle into Makoto's torso - still shy as always, about new people. "There there, dear." They'd reassure him with a gentle pat on the head - glancing up as they neared the assembled group of pokemon, and a trainer!
A young woman would be seated on the Tropius - in addition to a Fomantis and a Eevee, as well as a bunch of eggs. Makoto curiously perked a little at seeing another trainer - though they had set off on their own, it seemed that they might have someone else to travel with, down route 8! Tengu, too, seemed enthused over meeting new people; though his feathers were puffed up sheepishly as he perched on a nearby bush, he was quick to regain his composure and tweet to the assembled group in greeting - as melodious as ever, as though he were trying to impress the group with his singing!
Esper, though, was as passive as ever - and Yurei wasn't entirely interested in the other pokemon or trainer, at that. Her focus, instead, were on the numerous mangoes that grew from Prados' neck - one of which Vert would pluck. Only then would Yurei's attention turn to the young woman; the Stantler softly snorting, before eating the mango right out of Vert's hand! Makoto was visibly amused at Yurei's endless hunger, on top of being appreciative of Vert sharing like that - smiling down to the other trainer. "Thank you for sharing, dear. I hope stopping for Yurei like that wasn't too much trouble?" Gently laughing, they would continue "She's got a bit of an endless appetite - I had hoped a big meal would be enough to sate it, but I guess not!"
Meanwhile, there was Alyn - who seemed to be trying to put up a tough display towards the group! Kuro, despite being larger and stronger than Alyn, was quick to cower away from the intimidation - using his illusions once again, to (despite still being on Makoto's lap) disguise himself as a bush! Esper, meanwhile, would only give her a quiet and emotionless gaze; as though he were simply observing the Eevee.
Makoto, though, was visibly endeared by Alyn; lightly chuckling at the Eevee, as they pet Kuro's head in an attempt to reassure him. "You've got quite a lively little darling there, don't you? She's quite endearing, I must say." They mused to Vert; smiling fondly. "With a fiery spirit like that, you'd expect her to evolve into a Flareon on the spot!" Note: Please ignore Yurei's level when rolling encounters!

"No, that wasn't too much of a problem. I found it endearing somehow," Vert answered, chuckling. "She's a deer one might say." Lame attempt at pun aside, Vert called out to Prados again with a gesture of her finger. She plucked another mango. Even if Prados were to be plucked clean, she don't think he'll mind as long as she gave him more mangoes.
"Don't eat too fast alright?" Vert told the Stantler. "They're yummy aren't they? Perfect balance between sweet and tangy. Prados likes them too. If it was September you probably would have eaten some muscats," she joked. Prados also let out a groan that sounded mix of amusement and laughter. "If I recalled it right... you're... Makoto Kurumi, am I right?" Vert asked.
Just at this point suddenly Prados gently bunted her cheek and dropped a Lum Berry on her hands. "Oh, Lum Berry! These are nice! I needed these! Thank you, Prados!"
Alyn seem to be proud that her intimidation at least worked to one of the Pokemon there and turned her body away, walking with some bounces on her steps toward Vert. Ran meanwhile after noticing that the group isn't hostile bowed several times at the group for "apology". Vert meanwhile laughed nervously. "Ahaha, Alyn indeed got a big character. I don't think I will evolve her to Flareon however. I think she need to chill a bit, maybe Glaceon? Or because how much she love to play with ribbons probably Sylveon."
Vert lifted the Eevee up, staggering a bit as she accidentally postured herself wrong. The young woman swayed sides to sides, trying to stabilize herself... which thankfully she could thanks to Prados. "Oops, getting too spirited there ehehe! What about yourself? At the pun, Makoto couldn't help an amused laugh; smiling wryly yet brightly. "She really is, isn't she?" They'd muse out loud, adding "It's hart to not love Yurei, even if I sometimes don't know what's going through her head, when she fixates on food like this." as they stroked the Stantler's neck; watching Vert retrieve another mango from Prados.
However... Though Vert instructed Yurei to not eat too fast, it seemed that when it came to food, the Stantler had a mind of her own; munching right down without a care in the world, her wispy tail casually swishing side-to-side in contentedness! Did she even notice that Vert had been talking to her, or that Makoto had been talking about her?
Makoto would chuckle at this - though perked up a bit, as Vert called them by name. "Ah... Yes, that's me." They'd mention with a gentle smile. Given their tendencies as a friendly social butterfly, and how easily word spreads around Fuji Town, it was no surprise that someone might recognize them - and, in fact...
"And you're... One of the Valyns - Vert - right?" They'd question in turn, offering the young woman a warm smile. It was hard to miss the gossip about a 13 year old who could bench-press a young Tauros (though Makoto wasn't sure whether or not that was an exaggeration, really) - so it only stood to reason that they'd hear of Vert as well! Extending a hand down, they'd offer Vert a handshake - mentioning "It's nice to meet you, in any case, darling."
As Vert laughed nervously though, and as Ran bowed in apology for Alyn's behavior, Makoto would gently wave a hand in a calm dismissal. "It's quite alright, darlings - I can understand having a hotheaded partner quite well." They'd reassure the duo, before humming in thought over Vert contemplating evolving Alyn into a Glaceon or Sylveon. "Those are a couple possible options; though you might just end up with an ice queen or diva instead, too!" They'd lightly joke, smiling warmly.
Though Vert's swaying was a little concerning, Makoto wouldn't focus too hard on it - instead smiling gently at Vert's question. "More or less. I've been deciding that it's about time I get out of the house, and go around Arciel; get a little adventuring under my belt, and have an opportunity to socialize little Kuro here, to try and help him warm up to people and pokemon." At the mention of his name, Kuro would - hesitantly - dispell the illusion about him; warily eyeing Alyn, despite their difference in size and level. "He's a timid darling; but I think he's starting to get a little bit better." Makoto hummed; scratching the Zorua behind the ear. "He gets along well with his teammates, even if he still shies away from strangers."
Meanwhile though, a couple of wild pokemon - a Torchic and a Kangaskhan - would be passing through, only to notice Tengu's singing! Curious, they'd both come over to listen - the Pidgey briefly puffing up in flusteredness, but continuing to sing nonetheless - as the Torchic began to even try joining in, with a few cheeps of his own! Though, despite the fact that the Torchic definitely had spirit... He, uh, could've used some practice. The Kangaskhan winced a little at the other's offtune cheeping, but tried to smile and pat the chick pokemon on the head. The Torchic's enthusiasm seemed to encourage Tengu, though; and he attempted to match his little tune to the Torchic's cheeps, in an attempt to have a duet of their own!
Noticing this interaction, Makoto would glance in the direction of the pokemon, and with a warm smile - "Pardon me for a second, Vert dear" - hopped down from Yurei's back, and came over to greet them. "Well hello there, darlings..." The Kangaskhan, for the most part, seemed a little disinterested in Makoto - he'd offer a brief nod, before wandering off and into the sparse foliage once more. The Torchic, though, would attempt to let out a few cheeps to Makoto in a (supposedly) melodious greeting!
Makoto would blink a little at the assault on the ears, the slightest wince to their expression; but... "Ah... You seem to really like Tengu's singing, don't you?" They'd question, crouching down to try and bring themself a little closer to the Torchic's height. The chick pokemon would cheep in confirmation, tiny wings fluttering a little, as he turned his attention to Tengu - cheeping along with his singing once more!
Seeing how much the Torchic enjoyed singing with Tengu, Makoto smiled warmly; digging into their pocket to take out a nest ball, and offer it to the fire-type. "Would you like to come with us? I'm sure you'd get plenty of opportunities to sing and practice with Tengu, that way." Nest Ball, go!
