Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on October 7. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 20th of October to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
Littens... They're cute beings. Agate honestly loves cats a lot. Between cat and dog which one is better you might ask? To Agate both have their own merits. The tsundere of the cat and the deredere of the dogs are actually like tasting something salty then sweet. The idea is that both are precious and actually compliments each other well! ...Well, if only they're not such polar opposites that it would be hard to keep both of them together that is. However in his case... He's raising Pokemons...
...Pokemons should be more understanding than cats or dogs, right?
Anyway, Littens! He'd really love to get any of them. For the meantime he'll just look for a Litten itself. Whether it's Incineroar or Torracat, he'd rather not immediately go for the big gun. This time around, he... have Jasper to check which Litten would be good for him... hopefully he'll get a good one that Jasper approves.

The pokemon swarming this time of year was quite extensive. Elizabeth's Rotom Phone kept throwing up alerts of pokemon sightings all over the nearby routes. Like many she was obviously interested in the chance to catch some interesting pokemon but also as a ranger she felt it prudent to be on site to keep an eye on things and be sure trainers were behaving as they should. Why pokemon showed up on occassion in swarms was uncertain but it was best these unique events were monitored carefully.
And while the ranger already had a litten of her own, the young woman had little desire to evolve the tiny Pavel and instead allow him to remain his itty-bitty, adorable self. Pavel was currently draped around her neck as she casually soared over the route on Ishi. The aerodactyl wasn't the most controlled of her fliers but Liz liked to be sure everyone got a chance to be out and about to stretch their legs, or wings.
Below Tansy and Raya were surveying things from the ground along with Eiri the vaporeon and Xan the porygon-z. Eiri wasn't exactly happy about the hot climate but he wasn't one to complain. The cautious water type stuck close to Raya while Xan was nestled in the safety of Tansy's bloom, the porygon a bit on the timid side.
Ishi banked to one side as they circled the area in front of Fuji town. Being this close to the volcano's base made sense for the fiery feline so it shouldn't be too difficult to scrounge one up fairly quickly.

Ruaidri was drawn to feline pokémon. Fire pokémon as well, but perhaps less so. For this reason it may not have been all too surprising that he couldn't quite pass up an opportunity like this, hearing that Littens were apparently swarming in Route 8.
Of course, he already had a feline pokémon in his Skitty, but maybe she wanted company...
Either way, here he was, looking for the fiery little kittens.
In his arms he carried his tiny Skitty, keeping her close to him as he tended to do. Lero, his Bulbasaur, was kept in his pokéball. Ruaidri might not have been the best when it came to pokémon but even he knew that grass and fire did not usually go well for the grass-type. It seemed unnecessary to put his Bulbasaur through that particular ordeal right now.
So how did he plan on actually catching a Litten when his more experienced pokémon was at a disadvantage? Well, that was a problem he'd eventually have to solve, but only if he actually did find a Litten. For now, he put it out of his mind and simply focused on keeping his eyes open for what he was searching for.
That being said, he figured he'd stay away from the evolved forms, they'd be stronger and that seemed like a bigger risk still. As far as he'd heard, Incineroar in particular could be quite fierce indeed, and truthfully he'd rather try for a catch without having to battle. The little Skitty in his arms was still so young and, again, Lero was at a disadvantage.
Alright, so he'd simply try and find a Litten, one that didn't look too fierce maybe...

It was Pavel who first noticed something dark loafing about on the ground below. From this height it was rather small but the litten seemed to recognize the form. He rubbed against Liz's head then pawed at her shoulder before motioning down at the ground.
"Something there?" The ranger picked up on the fire feline's thought telepathically and nodded in agreement as she patted Ishi and motioned toward the ground.
"Let's go check that out. Take it slow though, I don't want to startle whatever it is." She sent the thought to the rock flier who rumbled in the affirmative and dropped down toward the ground. The ranger leaned over the side and beckoned to Tansy, Raya and the others.
"I believe we've found something of interest over here guys." Liz informed them as Ishi stretched out her wings then landed heavily on the ground not far from where Pavel had seen the dark figure. The ranger slid off the aerodactyl's back and gave her a pat on the beak before heading to where they thought this thing was.
Tansy with Raya and the others soon joined the ranger as they ventured off the main path. Pavel slipped down from the woman's shoulders and jogged ahead of the rest. Though a docile sort, he still had that feline curiosity. Pavel rounded a boulder and came face to face with a black and white incineroar. The others soon caught up to Pavel and the wild incineroar who didn't seem to care a wit that they were there.
She lounged against the boulder and gave a lazy yawn as she cracked one eye open to peer up at them. Liz blinked at the tiny incineroar that was hardly bigger than most litten. Pavel tilted his head to one side before inching closer and sniffing curiously at his final evolution. Incineroar peered at him then began to purr. The ranger gave a soft chuckle and crouched down to the incineroar's level.
"Well hello pretty kitty. Think you'd like to come with us? You look like a cat that would appreciate a nice, comfy home." Liz inquired as she offered up the usual bulk berry and pokeball.

As Ruaidri walked around he didn't particularly spot much of anything in spite of keeping his eyes peeled. Just as he was about to give up, however, the little Skitty in his arms stirred, jumping down to the ground before he could even react.
She was faster than he expected!
Her eyes were trained on a spot beneath a bush and Ruaidri saw now that there was something moving there. The tiny Skitty didn't hesitate, but pounced on the moving object.
A jolt of panic went through Ruaidri. What if it was something strong! What if she got hurt!
His heart was pounding as he instinctively moved towards her in order to protect her if there was a need. He didn't quite make it before a black and white Litten rolled out of the brush, tangled with his own Skitty.
For a split second he thought there might be fire and violence about to happen, but the Litten seemed to mostly try and ignore the rambunctious Skitty, who was still looking to play. Well, this was what he'd been hoping to find, and thus his hand went to one of his pokéballs, but he did not throw it yet.
His face scrunched up in thought as he watched the two feline pokémon interacting. While at first he'd thought the Litten, who now sat with its back towards the Skitty, had been ignoring the pink cat he now saw the rhythmic twitching of its tail.
Was it... playing with his Skitty?
The head was held high and it looked grumpy somehow, but every single time the Skitty pounced, the tail twitched away teasingly. Maybe the Litten just didn't want its tail pounced on, but then wouldn't it be more effective to leave or even fight?
He scanned the Litten and perused the information provided by the dex-app. He remembered hearing at one point that they weren't very open with their feelings, which seemed to check out. Since it didn't seem to be about to leave just yet he didn't feel too rushed either.
In either case, he knew his little Skitty wouldn't grow tired of chasing that tail anytime soon. She could play for hours on end, it felt like to him.
At the very least this seemed promising. Since he was hoping to bring this Litten into his team, he would want as little friction or resentment among the pokémon. Of course, he still hadn't brought out the Bulbasaur, nor did he intend to right now, but he had hope it would all work out.
After watching the two cats playing, or at least he figured that was what it was, he finally spoke up. "You two seem to get along," the Litten turned sharply to look at him. Somehow the look felt... defiant to him. Maybe it would have been better to just try and throw the pokéball, no warning. It just seemed kind of rude, what with the good time the two seemed to be having.
"I just thought maybe you'd want to join us?" he showed the pokéball in his palm. Hopefully this was enough to convince this new little friend.
