Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on October 7. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 20th of October to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.

A Tauros Swarm on Route 2...
If Borzil was honest, this was probably the furthest he'd been from his new home in Birch City in awhile; being more than an entire route away, just past Cedar Town. But, how couldn't he come this far north, too?
Tauros were about - and bovine pokemon always appealed to the young man, on top of the fact that as a Ranger, he wanted to make sure that these migrating pokemon were healthy and safe, as well as any other trainers that might be out here. Tauros were sometimes ornery pokemon, after all - and being relatively close to Birch, it wasn't unusual for rookie trainers to come up here past Cedar Town.
So, here he was, riding along on Daisy's back; Tulip and Dial at his side all the while, eager to see just what they'd meet out here. Daisy the Bouffalant - Level 6 Dial the Sigilyph - Level 6 Tulip the Mudbray - Level 1

Yes, another swarm! Sunset had picked up that it was a Tauros swarm on Route 2. Luckily she had just reached Route 2. And a Tauros was a Pokemon Sunset had looked up to. She hoped it would be friendly. Sunset had caught a Rockruff from a swarm two,so she hoped she would catch a beautifull Tauros too. Fennekin was allready at her side, ready for battle

It didn't take long before Sunset and Fennekin had run into a Tauros. It was standing a bit aside of the herd, causing Fennekin to think of it as an easy target. Hopefully it was. The Tauros had noticed them too, as Fennekin made clear she was ready to fight. 'Okay girl, let's go! Tackle!' Fennekin bursted to the Tauros, pushing her body into his. The Tauros took the damage, but Sunset didn't get the idea that it did so much yet. And indeed, Tauros hitted her back with Tackle. But because his body was way larger, he hitted her quiet hard. But being big didn't have to be an advantage. Fennekin was way smaller, that would be helpfull with the dodging. 'Tackle again!' Fennekin charged again, hitted, and created distance. Tauros started his attack, and Fennekin easily dodged it. She attacked one more time before Sunset thought it was enough to try to catch it. 'Pokeball!' And she threw an ultra ball at the Tauros.

It didn't take long for Borzil to find a tauros, it'd seem. In fact, it seemed as though a couple of someone elses found the bovine for him - a pair of young trainers, knelt down next to a relaxing Tauros!
Though his inner Ranger was concerned at the two trainers getting so close to a wild pokemon, the Tauros in question seemed to be quite lax and mild; his tails gently flicking at the air as one of the trainers hung the flower crown over his head. Even as Borzil and Daisy neared, the Tauros would glance up in their direction, briefly snort, before returning to idly grazing at the grass below.
Initially, Borzil was content to keep moving from here - wanting to make sure that things were still going smoothly elsewhere on the route - but... Daisy had other ideas - instead approaching the ebony bovine, and proceeding to give him a biiiig lick across the top of his head! Tulip, too, would playfully bray at the bull pokemon - nudging her head into his side - to which the Tauros simply snorted, and slowly got up, to sniff them both...
... And then gently lick them both back, too..!
Borzil couldn't help but blink a little at this, before laughing; reaching down to pat Daisy's head. "You guys making friends, huh?" He'd question - taking the time to pull out a pokeball, and offer it to the Tauros, mentioning with a smile "Hey, if you guys like each other that much, you're free to come with." Premier Ball (plus ranger befriend bonus) go!
"Hey, hey! Did you miss me? Then JaeTrickster is here! And right now, I'm in Route 2 because of the reported Tauros swarm!"
Jae jumped in joy before she let her phone's camera show the route itself, which revealed several brown bull Pokemon wandering around the grasslands.
"As you can see, there are lots and lots of Tauros in here and to make my first week as a Coordinator more interesting, I'm going to catch one as my very first captured Pokemon of my journey. Great, huh?"
In truth, though, she learned about swarms from her aunt while helping her out in her daycare one day. When she heard that the said swarm would occur near Bass City, she was inspired by this and tried it to not only to film a brief clip of herself capturing it but to get a new partner alongside Aki.
"But let's not waste any more time! It's time for us to do some Tauros hunting!"
And she took off as she switched her cameras to an action camera that was attached to her headband.
As she spent an hour looking around for a Tauros, Jae's enthusiasm began to waver as she only saw nothing but ordinary Tauros. She tapped her chin a few times and said, "They seem all the same to me. I wanted to get something unique, but that would be a bit of a pain."
She then turned her back from the Pokemon and switched cameras as she pointed her phone's camera onto her. Unknown to her, a stray Tauros noticed the young Coordinator and approached her.
"To be honest, I don't know how will a Tauros be in a Pokemon Contest. I know they have a Tough category, but I don't know if a Tauros is either Tough or Cool. What do you guys think? Are Tauros Tough or Cool? Leave your answers in the comments section down below..."
However, she stopped talking when she heard something breathing behind her as he prepared itself, which caused her to froze in horror.
"And it's right behind me, isn't it?"
As she slowly turned around, she saw a Tauros breathing down on her, which after a few seconds of staring, she screamed in horror. Before she could act, the Tauros quickly charged in with a Tackle, which caused her to jump to her right.
"Oh no, no, no, no, no, no! Bad Tauros, bad Tauros!"
But the Wild Bull Pokemon didn't listen as tried to Tackle again, which caused to ran away and switched cameras before she took out a Poke Ball from her fanny pack.
"Aki, you got to help me!" She then threw the ball behind her, which released her shiny Disaster Pokemon as she noticed the incoming Tauros. "Use Zen Headbutt!"
Aki did just that and to her relief, the bull stopped as he flinched in pain, which allowed her to stop running and rejoined her shiny Absol. She then commanded her to use Leer and another Zen Headbutt, which Tauros retaliated with two Tail Whips.
"Hey! Stop whipping your tail on my Aki!"
Her Absol growled as well, which she responded with a Quick Attack that Jae commanded. The wild Tauros then countered with a Tackle, which caused Aki to screamed in pain as she was forcefully pushed a few steps away from her opponent.
"And stop hurting her! Aki, another Zen Headbutt!"
She then charged in with the said attack. However, the bull didn't flinch as he began to attack Aki again.
"Oh no! I need to do something before she gets hurt again!" Without any second thoughts, she pulled out an empty Poke Ball from her bag and stared at it for a few seconds. "Well, I did want to catch a Tauros anyways. So Poke Ball, let's go!"
With that, she threw the Poke Ball onto the Tauros.

The ranger found herself on the sandy route 2 once more now on the hunt for a tauros. Surprisingly she hadn't encountered any of these beasts back home and felt it appropriate to have one on the farm. Liz was accompanied only by Raya and Tansy today as everyone else was taking a well deserved break back at the farm. The ranger had been running all over Arciel of late and it was good to go in smaller numbers at times.
"This is nice, fall's finally here though the breeze from the channel's a bit chilly." The telepath commented to the pair searching with her. The ranger and Raya were both nestled under Tansy's large blossoms as the venusaur steadily paced along the path.
"Prefer the spring with everything in bloom. It's always so lovely." The venusaur mused in response and the ranger smiled softly and nodded in agreement with Tansy's sentiment. Raya leaned back against the base of her bloom's trunk and stretched a bit more relaxed than usual for the serious lucario.
"This is good training weather, won't overheat in this." Came the aura pokemon's response. Liz chuckled and nodded to that as well.
"But of course you would think of training weather. Anyway, best keep our eyes peeled, though Tauros are typically not the shy types." The brunette smirked a little. Tauros certainly had a reputation but she knew Tansy and Raya could handle any trouble that might crop up.
It was getting colder, windier and generally a little less pleasant to go outside. But if you thought that would stop Sonia, you were very much wrong! It was sweater weather for certain, and Sonia was bundled up in a thick, warm, plush baby blue hoodie. Her braid was tucked into the hood, hands tucked into the fuzzy confines of the pockets. And the one Pokemon who didn't really mind the weather was at her side.
You see, it had been awhile since Sonia had caught Ceecee, and she hadn't done much more than coo over and cuddle him. It was about time they took a chance and went out. And the walk was lovely! Their pace was slow, but who cared about that? The clouds were thinning, there was only a slight wind, and the leaves were changing. Sonia hadn't taken the time to enjoy the fall season in awhile. And sometimes it was just breathtaking. It hadn't been long before they stopped and just admired the view with the Tauros grazing against the half cloud backdrop. It was nice.
Sonia wasn't much of a photographer but she snapped a picture anyway.
"Isn't this nice Ceecee?" Sonia asked, letting herself lean backwards against her companion.
"Slow...." He replied, still mesmerized by the view himself. Only, now they had been spotted by a Tauros and it seemed to be heading their way? Maybe it would like to relax and chill too.
Or ot! The tauros coming their way was black, one of the special Arciel colored ones. And it was mad. He was pawing at the ground, tossing his head and snorting as he stared them down, and Sonia didn't know what to do. She only had Ceecee, and he had never liked to battle! He was a companion. This was going to be rough!
Sonia quickly stood, anticipating the charge that was probably going to come their way. "Ceecee, it's not happy!" Sonia warned, but the Slowpoke only turned his head and staring blankly. She pushed at 5he pink pokemon, trying to get him to move, but the Tauros charged and she didn't have much time to dodge. The blonde squeaked, jumping backwards, her telekinesis activating to push against the Pokemon's head to just avoid getting caught by it's horns. Instead Ceecee was getting hit by the tackle and tossed from the attack.
"Ceecee!" Sonia called, running 5o help her slowpoke as the charging bul began to circle back around. "Ceecee, I need you to use yawn! It's the only way to slow it down, then you'll need to weaken it so I can catch it. I don't think it'll leave us alone otherwise." Sonia explained, wincing at the trouble this encounter would be. She could already feel how reluctant Ceecee was to fight. But could also feel his determination to protect her. She was his trainer, his friend, it wasn't right to just abandon her. So he stood there as the Tauros charged him again, yawning quite pointedly in its face and taking the tackle. It was only a matter of time before it fell asleep, or so the pair hoped.
The tauros charged, and Ceecee was able to roll out of the way which caused the tauros to collapse. Sonia was scared to check, but it was asleep, and then Ceecee was butting his head against it in what had to be one of the most pitiful excuses for a tackle attack. But it was the best they could do, so Sonia tossed out a ball in the hope that it was good enough.
