Scarlett drew a deep breath as she stood at the exit of Cherry town. Of course she had been outside the town before, but she had never travelled all by herself. Then again, she wasn’t truly by herself now, was she. Zuro was with her. The first pokemon that was truly her own. Deciding that he would probably enjoy the travel as well, she let him out of his pokeball. “It’s time to go on an adventure.” Scarlett said to him, excitedly, before heading along route 4.

Zuro appeared to be excited as well. Again and again he was dashing somewhere to check out something interesting, then returning to Scarletts side until he saw something new. It was funny how she felt like he would be protecting her, yet she also felt like he needed her protection. At this point, Zuro was still a baby, exploring the world. Pokemon were often capable of many things from the get go, but Scarlett couldn’t help but wanting to look out for him.
