[attr="class","Mariustext"]This job was gonna be amazing, Marius already knew it. They were currently dressing themself up in some sportsy-looking Trainer wear, and soon they would get their hair and make-up done. And after that they'd have to walk the runway in the Everyday Stylings Fashion Centre. Once they were dressed, they looked in the mirror. "I'm looking good." they spoke to themself, their expression full of confidence. They exited the fitting room and sat down in a chair in front of a mirror, which they assumed was for the hair and make-up part of this job. There were a bunch of other people here, both wannabe models like themself and people who were supposed to make these wannabe models look pretty. Marius thought of themself as one of the prettier people in this room, though there was some tough competition. It didn't take long for one of the hairdressers to come over to them and started combing through their awfully long hair. Marius usually took good care of their own hair, but having someone else comb and style it for them was pretty nice too. After their hair had finally been combed and styled, there wasn't a whole lot of time left for the make-up. Luckily they didn't need a lot of make-up, according to themself at least.[break][break]Well, showtime was nearly here. They calmly stood in line, waiting for their time to start walking, maybe they could chat a bit with the other models before it was their time to walk the runway? Or maybe they should just stay quiet... Mmmmm, nope. "So, why did you apply to this job?" Marius started talking to the person in front of them, unsure about if the person would actually listen to them, or know Marius was talking to them.

Riley had done some amateur modeling before, but last time he tried it was kind of a high brow fancy type crowd, and frankly they were kind of snobs. As fun as it was to get to dress up in those amazing dresses, and as little as he cared what others thought of him, he'd opted for something that sounded a little easier this time. Even if he didn't need praise, it was still nice to have now and then, right? Right!
Honestly Riley didn't see what made his current outfit particularly "sporty", other than the fingerless gloves. Had to have fingerless gloves for trainerwear, after all! But if it was what he was supposed to model, he'd happily play along. Hunter, his Eevee partner, had a cute headband that matched Riley's wristbands, too, so she was once again eager to get in on the action.
As Riley lined up to await the show starting, though, one of the other models called his attention. "Hm?" He looked back to the person behind him. Oh, oh wow, they were gorgeous. Granted it was a modeling gig and no one in line looked bad, but this person stood out in their opinion. It was probably just their love of long hair adding a lot of bonus points, but those sharp eyes were something too. They flashed a smile. "Why else? To meet model-level hotties like yourself~" he teased, giggling softly afterward. "But nah for real, I don't need-need the cash but I like to do odd jobs when it's convenient to keep my savings up. Like, rather than waiting for it to run out before worrying about it, ya know? And a job that puts a star like me in the spotlight is just divine~ Wouldn't you agree?"
A mousey little stage manager catches the chatting and quickly walks over. "Lower your voices," she quips and gives this annoying look like 'if you have to speak at all'.
[attr="class","Mariustext"]Marius was about to agree with what the other model had said when one of the stage managers told them both to lower their voices. Marius responded with a sigh before ignoring the stage manager and continuing their little chat. "Earning some extra money is always a good plan," they agreed in a whispering voice, "And the spotlight can always use more beautiful people like you and me." Marius smiled at the thought of finally getting some of recognition they deserved. They had noticed the model who they'd been talking to had an Eevee at his side, and it reminded them of that maybe they should have let Elbert out of his Pokéball and dressed him up a bit too, but they had a feeling it was too late for that now.[break][break]mzVpvTh8

Riley frowned as he and his new friend were told to be quiet. Where was the fun in that? It wasn't like the audience should be able to hear them, and if the other models couldn't focus because of something as small as some idle chatter that was their own fault. They should be better prepared when taking on a job. Still, he did lower his voice just a little as they went on. The other person agreed they were both beautiful, and Riley smiled smugly. "Definitely~ Maybe they should just send the other models home and let us pros handle it, huh?" he teased, snickering softly.
"In all seriousness, it's nice to meet you. I'm Riley, and this here is Hunter." He gestured down to the Eevee, who puffed her chest and gave a tiny 'veh' in greeting. "He/him pronouns at least for today," he mentioned. "It might be obvious at the moment, but I figured it couldn't hurt to clarify, especially since I might model some of the feminine attire in a bit." He enjoyed rapidly switching presentation in cases like this if only to prove that he could, hehe. "What about you, gorgeous?"
The stage manager wasn't very happy at all! She looked between you both with fire burning in her eyes, "What did I say about chatter?! Who's paying you here?" She narrowed her eyes, attempting to look fierce despite being smaller than the both of you, "We have very important guests in the audience and we can't afford even one tiny mess up, do you understand?".
