Gilbert made sure that the two of them were properly secured in their harnesses. You never knew when Pidgey's could be really crafty, but he already was aware of that when he had answered to the ad. The man grinned petting the bigger male Pidgey on the head in which the owner had told him that the name of the Pidgey was sparks, the smaller female was Coal sporting the same black color as the Pidgey he had at home! Gilbert was always extactic to take on these sorts of jobs. Although he nearly burned down the house with his clientel last time. This time he was sure a couple of Pidgey's could not cause as much damage as the fire types. Gilbert grabbed their harness and looked around from the bench he had been sitting on in the park.

"Alright you two, ready? I promise I'll take you to the best water fountain I know to take a little bird bath. Gotta get that excersize in!" the Park was beautiful today. It made Sparks flap his wings excited to get flying, in fact he lifted off same with Coal as the two of them waited for Gilbert to walk along. He obliged nodding his head as he let his feet began to take him down the path with the Pidgey's harnesses in hand. Coal and Sparks happily crossed each other, being careful not to get their lines tangled as they went.

It was a perfect day for a walk if he had to be honest. Gilbert watched happily as the pidgeys flew ahead, chirping as they went. If he was being honest he shouldve probably done this more often he loved flying pokemon after all. Sparks playfully swiped his feet at Coal as she flew underneath him. Their relationship made Gilbert smile walking along in the park as they stopped for a quick break near a water fountain. "Hey thats a cute pidgey you got there!" a young man approached Gilbert as Coal and Sparks perched themselves on his shoulders. 

"Oh you mean coal. Shes not mine Im afraid just taking her out on a walk!" Gilbert smiled as the young man nodded his head. "Thats alright I was just admiring her beauty." Gilbert perked, it was nice to see others appreciating  pokemon. It was what he spent his life doing after all. Though his main priority right now was these two pidgeys.

The Pidgey's seem to understand what you're saying and both begin to coo and making soft chirps. One moves to rub their head against Gilbert's neck while letting out a variation of affectionate noises while the other puffs out their chest and squawks at the stranger by the water fountain, as if to say 'we're both pretty, yes!'

It really did seem like the two of them were enjoying the attention. Gilbert was happy about that, giving Coal and Sparks some attention by rubbing his finger underneath their chins. "I'd like to have a black colored pidgey one day but I haven't been able to get my hands on one." the man began to say as Gilbert smiled. "I do own one! I'm in fact a breeder, here let me write down my information." Careful not to disturb the pokemon on his shoulders he moved into his bag and pulled out a piece of paper before scribbling on it. Sparks took a moment to try to peck at it but Gilbert managed to hand it over to the man. 

"If I happen to breed one I'll let you know!" Gilbert grinned as the man seemed surprised. He waved at Gilbert before being on his way. Gilbert turned to Sparks who had taken to flying above him. "Why don't we continue. This water fountain is nice but we're out here to excersize you!" He shrugged his shoulder a bit making Coal fly off of him. He took their leashes and began the walk through the park again. If he was lucky he would be able to get around with no problems. There was a couple up ahead, walking their poochyena's. The bigger one seemed to take note of Coal and began barking.

The Pidgeys are a bit startled by the barking but don't fly off. Instead, they hide against Gilbert, not that eager to resume walking. With a little coaxing however they may listen.

The Pidgey's were startled, Gilbert watched as they landed against his shoulders and snuggled against him. However the pokemon passed by without disaster and he was happy for that. With an apology from the trainer all seemed okay, except the fact that both Coal and Sparks didn't seem to want to move from his side. "Oh you two, it's fine! Haven't you ever seen a canine pokemon before?" he asked them as he gave them both some pets on their chests. Coal fluffed up the black pidgey did seem satisfied with that. "Think about it, how are you supposed to become strong and beautiful pidgotto's without exercising?" Sparks almost took offense to his words. He flew upwards, chirping to encourage Coal to do the same. Gilbert laughed as they flew up again, him holding their leashes as he nodded his head continuing down the path again. It was then that they hit the open grass field.

There were trainers everywhere with their pokemon enjoying the park. Throwing toys, relaxing on the grass while cooking with their pokemon. Gilbert sighed, maybe he would have to take his own pokemon over here when he had the chance. As Coal began to struggle, she flew directing towards the grass struggling against her leash. "Hey woah there!" he didn't want her escaping and snapping the leash. He didn't know what she was after though, he tried to look amongst the pokemon to see if there was anything.... oh no. It seemed that both Coal and Sparks trainer.... was at the park. Playing with a pidove? The betrayal. "Oh Coal no it's okay." he tried to console the pokemon who seemed ready to attack her own trainer.

Thankfully the consoling seems to work, and Coal calms down. It's fine! Their trainer is allowed to do whatever they want! The birds stay in line by you.

To be fair, he didn't ask what the trainer did for a living. He had said he didn't have time because of work, Gilbert figured maybe it was some pokemon training! The trainer knew his pidgey's would get jealous so he simply just didn't take them with him. "Alright Sparks, Coal let's continue on shall we?" they best not disturb him while their trainer was working anyway. Sparks gave a cheerful chirp as they continued to fly. Maybe to a better part of the park. It didn't take long for him to notice a caged area. Almost like an off leash dog park was an aviary with a small pokemon bird symbol. Where you could have your small flying type pokemon off a leash. "Let's get the two of you some gresh air how about that?" he asked as Coal seemed to excitedly attempt to fly towards the door.

Gilbert led the two of them through the contained door. There were a few trainers standing around chatting as their pokemon flew up ahead. He could see a Rufflet and a pidove, along with a hoothoot sitting on a tree. He was glad that they were separated by size. As he unclipped their harnesses he watched Sparks take off into the sky. Coal stuck around for a little while longer. "Go play" he encouraged as he watched Coal go to introduce herself to the rufflet it seemed. The big bird with fluffy hair seemingly excited to play with another pokemon. Gilbert kept a close eye on the both of them, Sparks was flying around in circles enjoying his freedom from the harness that he had been wearing.

The other Pokemon seem very happy to play with the Pidgey pair, and soon enough, they're fluttering and flying around one another happily calling out and showing off their aerial maneuvers. All is well.

Gilbert was always really excited when he got to see pokemon like this. The two pidgey's were flying around interacting with the others making him smile as he sat down on a bench for a few minutes. He noticed some of the other trainers talking among themselves and when a young girl came up to him she seemed to recognize the two pidgeys. "Hey it's Sparks and Coal!" she said as the young looking twelve year old looked at Gilbert. "You're their walkers for today aren't you?" Gilbert laughed and smiled at her. "Yes I am I'm surprise you recognized them." the girl nodded her head. "My uncle's the one who owns them, he loved them very much but never has enough time to walk them due to his job." She pointed to a couple he assumed were her parents. Sparks and Coal seemed to notice her, coming flapping over excitedly as they landed on her shoulders.

"My Name's Gilbert I am indeed the one walking them today! And trust me I'm taking good care of them." the two pidgey's screeched in agreement. As a Rufflet decided to come and join them, it must have been the little girls pokemon. Sparks and Coal flew onto Gilberts shoulder as the Rufflet made his home on the girl's shoulder. "I wish I had pidgey's like them, though I do love Roswell." she pointed to the Rufflet. However the rufflet seemed to be eyeing Coal aggressively. Gilbert didn't like the way the pokemon was looking at her, as if he was about to bite her or something along the lines of that behavior.

The girl tapped on the Rufflet's head, and the latter thought better of attacking and just rolled his eyes before flying up to her shoulder instead.

Maybe the rufflet just was jealous, their trainer had just said she enjoyed the pigdeys and while she had deterred it from seeming like she liked them more it felt like she did like them more. Gilbert stood then though and began to stretch, "Well it's getting a bit late, I best take these two on the rest of their walk and get them home before their owner does." Gilbert said as the little girl nodded her head. The rufflet cawed in response flapping his wings as if to say goodbye. Coal and Sparks looked sadly at Gilbert like they weren't quiet ready to leave yet however Gilbert shook his head. "Time for another go around guys." he stated as he clipped their leashes back onto their bodies. Unwillingly they complied sitting on Gilbert's shoulder as he exited the little park. Letting Sparks and Coal fly in front of him as he held their leashes.

"You two were getting tired anyway weren't you?" he could see the two little pidgeys were a little worn out, which was no surprise they had been outside for quiet some time. Yet it didn't seem like they were ready to end the walk. Coal looked over at a water fountain, diving for it as Gilbert jerked forward. Little did she know there was a trainer with his growlithe nearby. Coal decided to go for a swim in the small fountain. Splashing water all over the place and that included the little fire dog. Gilbert gasped as Sparks called out staring at Coal as if disappointed. The trainer and growlithe now covered in water from the bathing pidgey turned to Gilbert. He wasn't even quiet sure what they were going to do, they looked upset but he was only hoping they understood. "I'm so sorry" were the only words he managed to get out.

The Growlithe is none too happy and sends an Ember directed at both Pidgey! The Pidgey panic and send a Gust in retaliation, fanning the sparks into a bigger flame! Uh oh... better do something before the fire spreads too far!

Gilbert's jaw dropped as it seems the sparks in the sky were heading straight for the trees. This always happened when he mingled with growlithes and he felt bad as the trainer who owned the growlithe was now scolding the dog. Both sparks and Coal were in a panic, flying around each other as their leashes nearly got tangled. Gilbert trying to make sure that he had a grip on the leashes went over and starting to stomp on the sparks in an attempt to make sure that a fire didn't spread up into the trees. Luckily it did seem like it only singed some grass, but he wanted to make sure.

"Squirtle use water gun!" a nearby trainer called out to their squirtle. However it seemed like the man was dressed in what seemed to be official park clothing. Gilbert turned as Sparks and Coal started to calm down, landing on Gilberts shoulders the two looked a little bedrazzled. "Is there a problem here I need to be concerned about?" the park security asked glaring at the growlithe and then to Gilbert. Gilbert swallowed realizing he had been the one to start it. "Sorry it was my fault sir." Gilbert admitted and the growlithe's trainer looked thankful for that, but the young man also didn't think Gilbert did anything wrong. "There was no harm done, just a bit of fire is all." the park security glared at the young man, he didn't seem very amused.

Park security seems to forgive the transgressions, but you better stay on your toes! Don't mess up! Otherwise, everything seems to go back to normal.

Gilbert was happy that all he got was a warning, it went a lot smoother than he expected if he was being honest. The owner of the growlithe waved his hand smiling at Gilbert. "No harm done, I know how it is with pokemon." he held his less happy growlithe back. Who was glaring at the pidgeys. However after a quick thank you from Gilbert he led the pidgeys away. They were halfway around the park now the tree's beginning to thin as they made their way to the part of the park that was filled with different types of pokemon. They were out in the fields playing with their owners, training for whatever it is that they were going for next. It filled Gilbert with joy, one day he wanted to breed pokemon that would be purchased all over here.

Coal seemed to let out a cry then, she was flying just above his head and staring at Gilbert who had been zoning out. "Sorry you're right Coal let's keep going. You guys are almost done!" they were halfway done so he wasn't sure that was almost done but it was a start. Holding the leashes as the Pidgeys happily flew over his head it made Gilbert smile. They definitely were getting their exercise in for the day. Not to mention that it had gone much better than he figured it could have gone. Gilbert whistled a bit, and then stopped when he noticed a part of the park was closed off. There were a few blockades and large trucks on the concrete. It was swarming with people buying things from the trucks. As Gilbert approached he looked at one of the guards for what seemed like an event.

"What's going on here?" Gilbert asked as he held onto his leashes. The guard looked at him, "Oh they're having an event vendors are selling food and other trinkets they made at home. You're free to look around." Gilbert entered the little blockaded area, beginning to look around as Coal and Spark looked around in excitement as well.

You and the Pidgeys have a good time looking around the market, the birds flitting close to this or that trinket that catches their eye, but they're keeping on their best behavior. For now.

It was kind of interesting to see the different vendors. They had all sorts of things for sale from the looks of it. Pins of all colors and shapes and a few pokemon harnesses as well. If Coal and Spark were his he'd consider getting them some new harnesses but they weren't so he would have to refrain. It was then that Coal spotted a pokemon food booth she strained against the leash as Gilbert looked up at her and then to the booth. He chuckled softly. "Okay Coal let's buy you some food." that was the least he could do. As he walked over with the two pidgey's he bought two small bowls of food. Binding a bench to sit at so that he could place the bowls down for the pidgey's to eat.

The two of them enjoyed their food in peace. As Gilbert listened to the traffic coming through of people. It was really a nice day out so it was no wonder a festival like this was going on. Looking around though he didn't seem to see Coal slip out of her harness. For the moment she continued to eat as Gilbert leaned back in the bench. Nothing felt like it could go wrong right now and he was feeding into that mentality. Spark looked up for a moment and flapped his wings as he noticed his pokemon companions harness off. Yet Coal still had a beak full of food not currently paying attention what was attached to her or not.
