More snacks sounded great in general— and especially when Skye came around. Juni gave a nod and followed after Derby towards the frozen food sections. Looking around at the numerous snacks, frozen meals, and Groudon knew what else, Juni hummed indecisively. Dino nuggets? Yeah those were made of chicken weren’t they? (And not actual dino or dino Pokemon heh…) “Would probably be good…” she mumbled grabbing the bag of them if Derby didn’t get it herself.

At the question, though, she ruffled her hair. “I dunno, my mom’d always just feed us greens and whatever we grew on the farm….” she admitted. “We’d go into town and get stuff occasionally but…” But those were always snack foods, always treats, always things that were supposedly completely unhealthy. Heh, Juni knew better now. Red eyes flicked sideways, and Juni smirked a little. “Hey let’s get some Miltank Moobars…. For us if not also Skye,” she snorted opening the freezer and pulling them out. The frozen ice cream sandwich was always a treat… and Juni had a tendency to eat them nonstop until they were gone, assuring they wouldn’t be there too long.

Urgh, yeah... veggies were for growin' kiddos, arceus new she used to be obsessed with sweet corn as a tiny Vulcan. "I get ya. Skye'd probably be all about veggies if he was raised over in Hoenn rather than here- but it don't hurt to spoil 'im." Derby shrugged absently, Skye wasn't 'bout veggies at all, and she was sure the kid'd have a strike if he figured out how her ma' and hell, even Derby and Juni had been hiding them in his food. "...could probably grab some milk for growin' bones then, maybe." yeah... Derby didn't know the first thing about feeding kids, she leaned into a nearby fridge and grabbed out the first milk she saw, as if to make a point.

Oh?! Miltank Moobars. "Sounds like a plan. They're damn tasty- Skye better come over quick if he wants some... if I text ma about it now I can guarantee he'd be over when school's done to grab one." She proud a finger to her lips and nodded, "Reckon that's about it- lets go nn pay- then we can go bunker down and get back to..."  she trailed off, eyes settling into a glare, as if a challenge were in her way. '...the worm arm."

Juni snorted softly and couldn’t help but smile a little. “Fair…” she spoke a little softer thereafter. Milk, though. “Ah….” Yeah. She wasn’t a fan these days— if only because it tended to hurt her stomach more than help it, but yeah that would be good for a kid.

Sweets, though, were best in a sort of mass consumption way, and Juni was planning on mass consumption. A wild grin flashed across Juni’s features as Derby mentioned that. Yeah. She grabbed the box and dropped it into the cart. Thereafter, though, that seemed to be it. She gave a small nod Derby’s, though, and headed towards the register.

Check out was easy enough, and soon they were walking down the street again with groceries in arms. “I’m so burnt out….” Juni admitted with a small laugh. “Time to not leave the house for a few days.”

It didn't take too long to get through the registers, and Derby was fairly certain they just smashed out a week- or hell even two weeks worth of food- that depending on if she could be bothered to leave her room to eat on whatever given day it was. Some days she just laid on bed, throwin' nuts and bolts at the wall waiting for her brain to unblock, and other days she was workin' with her pop. Holdin tightly to her groceries and ignoring the icy chill that ate away at her bare skin Derby groaned out a "Here here- unless pops asks me too the only walls i'll be seein' are that of my room."

An arm was raised as she drew an imaginary box in the air, tilting her head a little before pretending to resize it. "...Five meters one way, maybe... three or four another." A shrug then, and she was back to lowerin' her arm. "Dontcha have courses to teach? Or are they like not a thing right now? It's all different for me since they gave me like... a solid half year for my final y'know?Then i'll be savin' the world nn stuff."

Juni physically deflated. “Don’t remind me,” she muttered weakly. The answer was yes: she still had classes to teach and PI’s to deal with and deadlines to meet, and Groudon knew what else. But that could wait, maybe, just a bit. A small smile managed to pull itself onto her features thereafter. “Ah well…. One step at a time.” They just needed to get home first. She’d worry about what came after that later.
