I’m going to be fine. It’s Senara who’s going to get reamed for this… He still fidgeted looking up at her with wide eyes as she mentioned the incident with Rep. “….” Something left Gabe’s eyes then. Maybe some life, maybe some fight, but something genuine then. Even faking it… she breaks me down…. Gabe rested his forehead on his knees and sighed.

He didn’t look up at the sound of weight sitting down in front of him, and he didn’t really respond as she started speaking. I’m so tired…. It was like Ara had stolen all of his energy all at once. Would he even have enough to get the things he need to do in Ivy Town done? And she’s right… Liz would not be happy with him. Was not happy with him.

How did he meet her? Not Liz you idiot…. She meant Senara. He knew that. But did he have enough of anything to really make up a compelling story? Gabe closed his eyes and sighed. “I was on Sparkchat and liked a picture of hers…. And then she liked a picture of mine….” A slow, forced breath escaped from him. “And then we just started talking.”

A modern day internet love story, oh how romantic. "...That's cute." She managed out, pushing down the slight sick feeling in her gut. He... wasn't okay- and it easy because she'd made Senara distance from him- and... arceus fucking damn it- he hadn't lightened up at all reminiscing about his girlfriend- who the fuck would when talking about their current reality with the past?! Just what could she say... or do? She leaned against the railing, eyes closing as another sniffle left her lips.

"...did I steal her from you too, Gabe?" question soft, an eye peeked open to gauge his reaction. It's what he had yelled at her for before halloween, and that would explain why he was so upset- even this close she couldn't tell if he was crying again, she really couldn't.

Hand's tightened and untightened around the railing she was leaning against, and eventually she kicked her feet out."Sorry- u-uhm... uh..." She'd done enough- she'd done enough... but yet, still. The backs at her palms moved to push under her eyes and a soft, confused laugh left her lips. "T-Tell me more, then- focus on the positives of... of your relationship- b-because that'll... help you... o-or- I could buy something from the bar downstairs- or... the ferry doesn't dock for a while..."

A soft, strained breath escaped from Gabe at Ara’s question, and he found himself resting his forehead square on his arms and breathing into the space between his stomach and his knees. Why am I even upset… What was it that made this real to him. He was the liar. He was the one accepting Senara’s lie and taking it to the furthest extreme in this case. It was his fault, not Ara’s. He should have been feeling…. anything but this.

On some unknown cue, the horn of the ferry rung in Gabe’s ears. “Ah….” A hand slammed on the door as he then slowly pushed himself up again vertebrae by vertebrae. He felt stiff all of a sudden, weighed down. “I just want… to be left alone for a while.” Once he was fully standing, he grabbed the door and opened it. “I’m just tired.”

Oh- he wanted to be... ah... oh... yeah... She could only watch as he stood up, hands under her eyes not making much of an effort to do anything at this point. "...medbay probably has a spare bed..." she managed out, at this point Calando had made it back up the stairs next to her and flopped by her side, a huff leaving his lips- what a good boy.

Her hand had moved to raise into a wave for a second, only for her to push it back down to her chest and avert her gaze with a soft cough. Enough. You fucking dickhead. You've strained this dude, and you're still- let him live his fucking life, you shouldn't even be talking to him. "W-When people are upset, the worst thing to be is alone..." she mumbled out, more to herself than anything. Her legs crossed, and she further squished her face into the railing.

Didn't she know it. Alone and upset Arietta had done... too many wrong things, and she kept repeating it, over, and over, and over again. It was good- don't keep him here any longer- you can... text Senara, fix things- you can't ruin another great thing, Arietta! "...but...b-bye-bye, Gabe- get some rest." gaze glanced up to the door then back to her lap, and she choked out another soft sob "...s-sorry..."

Ara’s voice echoed in Gabe’s ears, and a small “Ah…” escaped from him, but he wasn’t going to stop for her right now. Something had broken, come loose, and was rattling around in him. And he wasn’t sure why. “You should find someone to talk to then.” There were plenty on this stupid boat aside from him.

And as she said bye, he didn’t say it back, just walked down the steps and disappeared to the front of the boat. Sure enough, he had heard that correct. They had, in fact, come close to port. Reaching for a Pokeball, he caused a stir as a Charizard was released, but he didn’t care at that point. Instead, he got on the back of Rep, and ordered him towards the island. They could fly the rest of the way.
