This was it, Willow's first journey through the wilds. Although Cherry town was a long ways away from Birch, that didn't necessarily mean she had to rough it out in the wilds. After all, technology was still a thing. So, this would be her first time away from any sort of contraption, and she was going to make the best of it. So, she sent out Brynn, and looked at her with happiness, saying to her, "This is it Brynn, a new world for us to explore. Farms are fun and everything, but that doesn't mean I want to stay there forever. I want to travel the world, and take care of my farm. I know that you want to do that too. So, don't hide your smile, because I know you want to too, or else my name isn't Willow Chariot."
Saying all of that, she was expecting for at list a tiny little smirk from the pokemon, but it just rolled its eyes at her, and said aloud, "Buneary bun bun!" It was clear that it was trying to get Willow to focus. As much as she didn't want the pokemon to be right, she was. Willow understood that the wild meant battling dangerous pokemon. Ones that didn't want to be their friends. Although Willow hates the thought, it didn't make it any less true. She couldn't force a pokemon no matter how much they tried. Forcing a capture would always be bad in the end. So, with a pout, she began walking and said to Brynn, "You're no fun, you know that?"

Walking down the path, Willow looked ahead to see that there was a Starmie ahead. It wasn't particularly a pokemon she needed, but it was a pokemon that she wanted to fight. Willow had remembered that there was a water type gym leader on her way to Cherry Town. So, she decided that this Starmie would be the perfect opponent to fight. It was as if her Buneary read her mind, because the second Willow looked at her, the pokemon non nonchalantly went forward.
Getting ready to fight, the Buneary jumped towards the Starmie and used pound on it. The Starmie looked over in surprise, not even realizing the pokemon was coming towards it until Brynn had connected. Now that Brynn was up close and personal, she used defense curl, stopping the Starmie from doing any real damage to her. As it used water gun, Willow laughed. She knew how smart her friend was, and how that water gun wouldn't effect her. So, as she went in for another pound, the Starmie was caught off guard by how little the water gun was actually effecting the pokemon. So, it tried to dodge to the right. However, the Buneary just bounced right into the side of it. It was already looking weak. One more hit and it should be down.
So, the Buneary got a bit more creative, using pound on the ground in order to jump over it and behind it. With her newly found formation, the buneary used pound into the back of the Starmie, knocking it back and out. Now that the fight was over, Willow congratulated Brynn, and went on her way.
Walking down the road, she looked over to her right to see that there was a little girl swimming around in the beach. Her parents seemed to not be there at the moment, which worried Willow a tiny bit. Either way though, she knew that she would always do this as a little kid. Living on a farm all your life meant that you didn't really have limits to what you could do. The little girl seemed to especially know this, because she had run up to a complete stranger, Willow.
In confusion, Willow backed up a tiny bit as the girl said to her, "I want a duel! I want a duel!" Willow was seriously confused at the moment, but the kid seemed like she wouldn't back down. So, Willow nodded in agreeance and watched as the little girl said to Willow, "Now then, let's do a triple battle! My pokemon may be weak, but that doesn't mean that they can't get stronger." Listening to the little girl speak was amazing. She had all the confidence that Willow had, and more. The fact that she wanted to get stronger made Willow truly happy. Now that she was pumped up and ready to battle, she sent out her three pokemon.
Brynn, Beryl, and Max all looked at Willow in confusion. She then directed them towards the little girl's own pokemon, and realized what was happening. They all clearly seemed excited for the battle, which meant there was one thing left to do, start it. Max was a fighter. Even after every hit, he still was able to get up. Beryl was a calm pokemon. She was a morale support that could help turn the ttides of any battle, no matter how hard she was losing. Finally, there was Brynn. She was a kind and gentle soul that would fight for Willow in the best way she could. All of these personalities that her pokemon have taken, are all ones that would help Willow win this battle.
Willow looked out at her pokemon, and watched as they went off into battle. The other girl's pokemon as well as the girl herself seemed just as determined. It was as though they were trying to prove something. The thing that she had probably said earlier about people viewing her and her pokemon as weak. It might be true, but a good fighting spirit could always win you a pokemon battle, and that was exactly what Willow believed. However, Willow was going to be the one to win, she was sure of it.
First off, Beryl used play nice towards all the targets, unleashing a musical note with each one. As they collided with each other, the pokemon's determination seemed to wear down. No matter how strong their spirits were, play nice would always take into effect. This meant that they would be a whole lot weaker than they already were. Willow was feeling as confident as ever. Her pokemon seemed to be as well as they jumped straight into action. Brynn had jumped forward while using pound. She was going straight towards her corphish. Max was running right for the girl's finneon with pound .The same move it had used in its first battle with Willow. Finally, Beryl was using stored power on the Binacle.
With every single attack colliding with her pokemon, each one was sent flying right into each other. Like that, the pokemon had all fainted. Although they had the determination that Willow was always looking for in pokemon, they still had a lot to learn. Of course, that didn't necessarily mean they were weak. It just meant that they aren't strong enough right now. So, as Willow walked over to the little girl, she pouted saying to herself, "I thought they were wrong. Those big bullies said I was weak, and they were right." Willow looked at the girl and sadness and helped her up from the ground that she plopped onto. She then looked at her with a warm smile, saying, "Look sweet pea, just because you lost your battle does not mean that you or your pokemon are weak. Keep training, because you have the best amount of determination I've seen. You will get stronger one day, and then you will show those bullies whats coming to them. Got that?" The little girl nodded as she got up from the ground.
Now that she was calmed down, she thanked Willow for the advice and went on her way. She had to get home before her parents found out she was missing. That just left Willow to continue down the route she was taking before. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to fight another trainer. She loved battling with her pokemon, but she loved finding new ones for her team as well. She wanted a lot more friends to help her battle, because her team wasn't too strong at them moment. They will get stronger, but she'd also like to diversify her pokemon a bit more.

Willow walked down the road, only to find two pokemon swimming about in the river. They seemed to be having a nice time. They seemed small, almost as though they were babies. Each one of them were trying their best to make light of their situation. The situation in which they didn't know where their parents were exactly. For all they know, they could be on the other side of the beach. The two of them were trying their best to be optimistic about the situation, but Willow could easily tell that there was pain on their faces.
So, she walked over to the pokemon and asked them, "Hey there guys, what's wrong? You seem down in the dumps, and I don't think I could just walk by without knowing why." So, as she looked at the pokemon with empathy, they tried to explain the situation to her the best they could. Luckily, the amount of pokemon on her parent's farm allowed her to better communicate with pokemon. That didn't mean she could talk to them exactly, but it just meant that it was easier for her to understand them than most others.
Now that she knew what the situation was, she was determined to help them. This meant actually confirming her help towards them. While talking to them, she comforted them and told them that they were going to find their parents no matter what. It would be a tiny detour in Willow's travelling, but it was worth it to help out some newly found friends. Of course, that didn't mean she was going to capture them. No. They were already separated from their families, and it probably wouldn't be the best idea to do it again. So, she followed the shore of the beach, making sure to look out for any pokemon along the way.
As Willow watched the Dewpider and Luvdisc swim forward near the shore, she saw that there was a pokemon in the way of their path. It seemed to be a Staryu, and it was not happy. She didn't exactly know why it wouldn't be happy, but it's gem was glowing a lot redder than usual. With pokemon like staryu, that usually meant a sign of aggression. The two baby pokemon seemed to back away slowly at the site, but Willow wouldn't let the pokemon get bullied like that. So, she sent out Cleffa to guard them.
With Max now in front of the pokemon, it tried it's best to stay up in the water, but it was very close to its waste. That would be what makes this battle extremely hard for the pokemon, but it was going to make Willow proud. The thing Willow always called him, was a fighter. It's because he knew how to keep going, even with the going got tough. That meant that he wasn't going to let something as simple as water stop him from defeating the angered Staryu.
So, as the pokemon rushed forward, it used pound. However, the water at his feet slowed him down much more than he expected, causing him to get hit by the Staryu's tackle. As the move hit, the Cleffa got right back onto his feet as he slammed the Staryu that had conveniently got much closer to him. The pokemon did seem to expect this from him, nor did the pokemon expect the Cleffa to use copycat and tackle the staryu with the same amount of power it used on Max. Max smiled with confidence as he jumped out of the water to slam down on the Staryu with a pound, knocking it out completely.
Willow congratulated Max, as she sent him back into her ball. He was getting a lot stronger, and she knew that. She had always expected him to become a great fighter, and she was right. He helped her clear the path of the bully, and that would allow for Willow to help the baby pokemon find their mothers.
As Willow was walking down the shoreline, she looked over to see that there was a Tynamo in the way now. However, it was in the way for a different reason. It wasn't mad or anything, it was just extremely rude. The two baby pokemon tried asking about their parents, but to no avail, the pokemon shunned them continously. It wouldn't even look their way anymore after only a few moments. So, the baby pokemon tilted their heads down in despair as they slowly swam around the electric type pokemon.
Willow was not taking their sadness well, so she went into the water to give the pokemon a pep talk. After all, that's what one really needed at points in time like these. They needed someone to bring back some hope in a situation where there was none. Kneeling down in the water, she comforted them by saying, "Hey guys, I know that it may be hard right now, but I promise you that you will get back to your parents. I came with ya'll to make sure of it. So, bring back those smiles you had before and lets get to work before your parents start to worry too much. Okay?" With that, the two pokemon happily agreed as they picked up the pace on their swimming down the shoreline
The waves were getting a bit rougher as the shoreline had started to decrease, causing Willow to walk further away from it. She was scared for the baby pokemon, and what would happen if a wave over took them, but she couldn't worry about that right now. She knew that she needed to find their parents, and that was that. If she could, then they'd be protected from the waves. She looked down at the ground and pondered where they could be, only to find a pokeball on it. Picking the pokeball up, she put it in her bag for later and continued on.
After picking up the luxury ball from before, it had led Willow to a pokemon. One that she hadn't really seen before. It seemed to be a Stonehenge of sorts, that brought some scenery to the pretty barren beach. It seemed a bit out of place, but it really did look pretty cool. However, it wasn't what Willow was looking for, so she needed to move past it and just walk forward. There were 2 pokemon that needed help, and she was going to make sure that they got the best help they could.

Walking down the shore, Willow had begun to get more and more hints about the whereabouts of the baby pokemon's parents. She wasn't exactly sure how much longer it would take them, but they weren't too far. She had just come across a clauncher. The pokemon had led Willow and the babies to their parents. It seemed as though the Clauncher was just like Willow in this situation, in which he was trying to help reunite the family together. So, his relief for finding Willow was immense. This relief was what caused Willow to offer up the pokemon for catching. She wasn't sure if he really wanted to, but she decided to try anyways. As she took out her pokeball, she clicked it on top of the pokemon's head, waiting to see whether or not it'd join.

With her newly found pokemon in her pokeball, Willow raised it up into the air and cheered aloud. As she jumped up and down, she smiled and looked onward. With a family saved, and a new pokemon, she just went back to the route and on her way down it. She didn't exactly know how much farther she was from the next town, but she was sure that she was close. If not, then her and her pokemon would get through it in the best way they could. She was sure of that. As she sent Brynn out of her pokeball, she let the pokemon bounce along with her as they talked.
