Most people would be wary about travelling at night. Isaac was not one of them. In fact, he almost preferred to be out at night. Carrying a lantern in hand, the young witch boy of the Weeping Forest wandered around the plains of route six. It was a nice, quiet night tonight. Perhaps it would be a good night to find some ingredients. This was Isaac's first trip outside of the Weeping Forest, and he was curious to see what things he could find for his cooking. He just hoped he would be able to find what he was looking for out here. His partner, the large cubone known as Orphan, walked alongside him, his bone at the ready to defend his master.
It had taken some scrounging through the underbrush, but Isaac finally found something. A berry. Well, it was certainly a start. However, as he picked up the berry, something suddenly shot down from one of the trees, swiping the berry out of his hand. "Hey!" he spluttered, stumbling as the small bird pokemon tried to take off into the air with Isaac's find. Dammit, he had spent some time looking for that too!
Orphan was quick to react. Tapping into the deep, ancient energies within, the little Cubone levitated some rocks from the ground, before launching them at the bird. The Fletchling, caught off guard, was knocked out of the sky before falling to the ground. Holding his lantern tightly, Isaac made his way over to the stunned pokemon.
Laying on the ground nearby was the berry, punctured by the Fletchling's talons, and now covered in dirt from the fall. Isaac let out an annoyed sigh. It wouldn't be good for cooking like this. He let the berry drop as he looked down at the stunned pokemon. Well, he couldn't just leave him like this, even if he started it.
Pulling a small pokeball from his robes, Isaac gently tapped the Fletchling
He had come here, expecting to find ingredients, and instead he ended up catching a pokemon. Isaac picked up the pokeball, looking at it for a while, as if contemplating what to do next. Well, he could find something that the little bird could do. In the meantime, he tucked it back into his robes, before continuing on his search.
And soon, Isaac was back in the tall grass, looking around for anything that resembled a berry or an apricorn. He needed something. I mean, it wasn't like he could cook that Fletchling. Well, ok, theoretically he COULD, but would he want to?
Then, through the grass, he noticed something. Something round. Was it something he was looking for? Quickly parting the grass, Isaac blinked when he saw what turned out to be a pokeball. A luxury ball to be exact. What was one doing out here? Isaac's face fell. He couldn't cool a luxury ball.
Still, it was just sitting out here. He picked up the ball and tucked it into his robe before continuing his search.
