Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Three optional icebreaker questions are offered: 1. If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be? 2. What is the cheesiest pickup line you have heard? 3. If your friends compared you to a Pokemon, which Pokemon would it be?
Feel free to discuss any of these or use your own icebreaker!

Elizabeth had been on very few dates in her time. The ranger while friendly and had no aversion to people, was generally just too busy for relationships beyond simple friendships or acquaintances. And while even though she'd signed up for this particular event, the young woman was mainly interested in getting to know a little bit more about the people of Arciel. Liz was definitely that career focused sort who could often be blind to anything outside of work. Of course when you worked with pokemon as a ranger it didn't really feel like work.
Raya had insisted on accompanying the brunette. Many of her other pokemon had wanted to join her as well but there honestly just wasn't room for her usual gaggle of companions. The lucario got her way in the end, she usually did, while the others awaited the ranger over at the pokemon center. If Liz was going to be meeting strange, new people, they wanted someone there to keep an eye on her. The lucario did however carry a satchel with her containing two good sized eggs.
Liz found table 8 and glanced around not seeing anyone else there yet. She shrugged and removed her black jacket, and dropped it over the back of a chair. Her short brown hair was already pulled back into a loose ponytail and the ranger wore her badge pinned to her light gray hoodie sweatshirt. As per usual she also wore her navy blue cargo pants over her black combat boots. She'd seen no reason to dress up for this event, really even if this was a legit date she probably wouldn't've dressed up any.
"Now can you relax a little and try not to look so uncomfortable?" The ranger inquired of the lucario who'd been standing at her shoulder, arms crossed and with almost a grimacing scowl on her muzzle. The steel jackal sighed and forced herself to relax a little, leaning back against a nearby railing. Liz shook her head then looked up to a scrawny, pink haired teen approaching them.
"Oh hello, you get yourself a little turned around there hun?" She asked sweetly but with an oblivious tone.
Why was he here? Isaac had no idea what prompted him to partake in this. I mean, who would ever want someone like him? Guess it was just morbid curiosity. As he approached his first table, he blinked when he saw that someone was already there, waiting for him. Oh dear, his first 'date' and he had kept the other party waiting. He approached her, taking a note that she seemed much older than he was. Guess this was really randomized, huh.
Well, she seemed friendly enough. "S-Sorry about being late," he stammered, moving to sit down opposite her. "I-I've never done anything like this before. I'm just nervous. I'm Isaac Faust," he said, introducing himself to her. The glare coming from the Lucario wasn't helping matters.

It dawned on the ranger that this young fella was in fact the first date. The brunette blinked a little in surprise but she just smiled and motioned to the seat. "Oh! No, you're fine. Isaac you said? Well it's nice to meet you Isaac." She said with a warm tone and nodded to the teen. Raya couldn't help a small smirk at the obvious age difference but Liz simply shot her a scolding glance.
"Remember be nice. Probably should've brought Ena, she'd love this." Raya made a face though the ranger knew the energetic flareon would be about as bad but in the opposite sense, as she'd simply have to give Liz's dates snuggles.
The young woman offered a hand in greeting to the pink haired youth still smiling. "I'm Elizabeth but most everyone just calls me Liz." The young woman stated as she introduced herself wanting to make this as pleasant as possible. "So... this whole thing is kinda weird huh?" She added with a small chuckle hoping to put the other at ease.
The ranger felt it probably best to overlook the age difference and just focus on being friendly and try to make the whole thing as comfortable, for the both of them, as she could. Since she wasn't really out for a 'date', she was more than happy to simply make a new friend or even just an acquaintance.
"I-It's nice to meet you Elizab-erm, Liz," Isaac replied, catching himself and taking her hand, shaking it gently. He tried to ignore the Lucario as he took a seat. Well, she seemed nice enough, mercifully enough. And she seemed to be of the mindset that all this was strange.
"Y-You can say that again," Isaac replied, "I-I mean, I haven't been out of the forest long, but everything just seems so strange. So many different people, so many different things..." He looked to the side, a little bashful, "Well, ok, I guess I'm more the weird one here. I mean, all this is just normal for you." He wasn't talking about the speed dating either. Isaac was a total fish out of water when it came to everything.

The ranger smile gently at the teen. He did seem the reclusive sort and her empathic sense picked up on his nervousness. She followed his gaze back to Raya and the young woman shook her head and gave the lucario an apologetic look.
"Oh gosh I'm sorry. By the way this is Raya, she's my over protective chaperon for the dates. Don't worry, she's not as severe as she seems. She's also taking care of a couple eggs for me, didn't want to leave them all alone at the pokemon center you know?" Liz introduced the lucario who dipped her head respectfully to Isaac.
"Really you're making the poor kid anxious, why don't you go patrol the room okay? Let me know how everything's looking. It's not like I'll be out of your sight or anything." The young woman requested of the lucario in hopes of easing the tension due to her presence. Raya sighed and reluctantly stalked off to survey the room, sending Liz a mental picture of her findings.
"Sorry about her, she has trouble relaxing." Liz apologized once more and reached for a glass of water. She tilted her head to one side and raised a brow. "The forest huh?" She inquired gently unsure what he'd meant by that. The natural guess was he'd spent most his live in a forest somewhere though this wasn't the first time she'd met someone like that. She chuckled a little at his comment of things being 'normal' for her.
"I mean I suppose you could say that. I'm familiar with cities and travel, but I grew up in the country, raised on a ranch, so really always preferred that to this hustle and bustle. But my job takes me all sorts of places so you just gotta go with the flow." The ranger commented with a small shrug. She supposed she'd never thought much of it before but it was quite the culture shock when she first left her little country hometown and first visited some of the large cities back in her home region.
Isaac was a little relieved that the Lucario was going to explore the room, rather than hover over her trainer's shoulders. I mean, Isaac could understand her mindset, but it didn't make the by any less at ease. "I-It's ok. I understand," he replied, not wanting to seem like he was putting her out or anything.
So, Liz was from the country huh? A little bit different compared to the forest, but he could understand the sudden change. "I grew up in the Weeping Forest with my mother. I mean, there were a couple of times I went into Ash City to get some groceries, but that was about it. This is really my first time going out into the world and exploring everything. I'll admit, I'm a little bit lost." But enough about him. It was time for him to change the topic back onto her. "You said your job takes you everywhere. What do you do for a living?" She could be a trainer, but that hardly seemed like an actual job.
