Tiara was so kind, and understanding. Sonia felt sort of bad now for slowing them down with her eggs, and having to use the board to communicate. It was definitely a hassle, that while Sonia was used to using she knew there was a better way. She just wasn't confident enough yet. Reaching to a familiar mind was one thing, but a stranger's mind that knew nothing of her powers? She didn't feel comfortable with that.
Sonia nodded eagerly at Tiara's observation. "Yes, like a mystery, or an adventure! And even if I can't learn something from it, maybe my Pokemon can. Even if they can't then it's still good for bonding." Sonia wrote out before juggling things to fix here umbrella. Perhaps her eggs were better in her bag, where they would stay dryer that way. So the opening was closed and zipped. They would be warmer in there too.
And now her umbrella would last the trip to the next city where she could get a new one. If she remembered. And Tia was wandering off towards a Clefable? Poor thing was drenched.
"Hey girls. You alright?" A guy asked, someone that Sonia hadn't seen before. Blue eyes stared at him widely before she was nodding her head. Mana huffed at him and came up beside Sonia to act as a shield. She didn't really like random strangers coming up this close to her trainer.
"Is that your Vaporeon?" He asked, his own eyes widening at the sight of the huge Eeveelution. The Pokemon was almost taller than him, let alone the smaller girl. Sonia frowned a little bit but nodded. "Don't talk much do you?" He asked, chuckling softly. Sonia's frown deepened and she pulled out her board to write on it quickly.
"I'm mute, I can't talk." The board said as she showed it to him.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't know. Would you, uh, be up for a battle?" He looked sheepish as he apologized and asked anyway. Sonia, still frowning shook her head. If would be one thing having to explain how she battled to Tiara, but to a random stranger as well? No thanks. Discouraged the guy looked to Tiara and the Clefable before shaking his head and moving on.
