Tiara'd been planning to spend her day off chilling in her tiny, grotty apartment, binging mama mia for the fiftieth time that month while downing warm cupcakes and surrounded by her adorable pokemon- only her landlord, Simon, had stormed in before she was even fully awake to let her know of some gang that were supposed to be showing up for trading and deals in the apartment above.
At least he'd warned her?! If she'd been around then she might be liable for getting charged as a bystander, and she realllllly needed the apartment since it was all she could afford, so with the offering of a cupcake and a tired smile she'd left her apartment a bit before the crack of dawn, with as many pokeballs she could carry in her bag, two unhatched eggs who she might have been smuggled by also loose gang members who'd decided to ransack her apartment and a soft smile on her face.
At least it was a wonderful morning! As usual, her darling Swinub Princey trotted along by her side, nipping at blades of grass that he happened to come across, really just... trying to eat everything. She would have been carrying him, had her sweet Silicobra Princess not taken to draping herself right around Tiara's neck like some kind of weird scarf- like- maybe she was warm and just being a tad protective, but now Princess' hisses were 'this' close to Tia's ear, and it was a little scary!
But still, she spent most of her morning just taking in her surroundings, smiling and waving at people who passed, giving as cheery 'good mornings' as she could muster up before continuing on her way. It was a decent morning, a lovely morning- arceus, maybe getting out of her apartment could have been good for her!
Or... that was until the sky opened up, and she was reminded that winter had only just ended and good days weren't made to last. At first, it was soft raindrops, welcome in comparison to the harsh snow of the previous week, but then it started to pelt down a little harder. "Ah- uhm- Princey, stick closer to me!" Right, okay, now... shelter- she was... there were trees around sure but... uhm- oh?! Oh- somebody with an umbrella?!
"E-Excuse me!" And, like that Tiara went running, the Silicobra on her neck began hissing, withdrawing closer to Tiara's skin and sending wary eyes to the stranger, "Your umbrella! Can I- uh- stand under it for a second? I need to check my bag for a hoodie or something!"
This wasn't usually like Sonia, usually she was happy just sitting inside. But, ever since coming to Arciel that had changed. She wanted to explore everything! So of course since the weather had permitted Sonia had decided it was time for a new direction. Maybe it was because she was thinking of maybe challenging the gym, or it was from that Shroomish encounter, but she had decided going down Route 7 would be her next target. Though it would be hard with her mainly water type companions.
But it was a chance to expand her team, so it was a chance she was willing to take. She was more prepared now, staring down the clear cut path with determination in her eyes. She was ready! Mana had been released so the Vaporeon could get some fresh air, and though the likelihood of a type disadvantage had increased, she still seemed like the best to have out right now. She would be the most protective if something were to happen. So Sonia felt quite safe as she walked down the path, a green Pokemon egg in her arms, and another settled carefully in her bag. This was going to be a productive day!
And then the rain started to fall. Thankfully Sonia had an umbrella, never trusting herself to go anywhere without one. Or the spare that was tucked into the inner pocket of her light jacket. The sound of the raindrops increased in intensity, coming harder and faster. It was so loud, feeling like even with the protection that the drops were hitting her head and drowning out all sound. At least, until there was a sound other than the rain and Mana's occasional feline chirp of delight.
The girl stooped, turning to see another running towards her. Oh! They didn't have an umbrella! Sonia quickly lifted her's a bit higher and outwards slightly to make some room. She even switched hands so she could use her right hand to open her jacket, reaching inside to pull out her smaller spare. It wasn't the nicest, but surely it would help more than being in her pocket. So she held it out for the other woman, smiling softly even under the wary look of the snake like Pokemon wrapped around her neck. Mana came trotting forward, giving the snake a slight glare of her own, though Mana definitely looked more intimidating as the huge Vaporeon stood shoulder to shoulder with Sonia.
Ahhhh it was getting heavier now! Tiara could feel a tendril or two of water sneak behind her collar, dancing down it's back as if it had some business there, which it didn't! Why hadn't she checked the forecast?! She could have hung out in a cafe while her apartment block was home to a criminal meet up! Thankfully, the blonde she'd approached was quick to raise her umbrella to allow more room, and Tiara heaved out a sigh of relief. Princey was quick to dance by Tia's feet, the large Swinub trying his best to stay in the temporary shelter while Princess, eyeing up the huge vaporeon, decided for now to simply back down and rest around Tiara's neck.
"Uh- sorry about all this- thank you!" She was quick to throw out a thanks, smiling apologetically. Oh- oh the stranger was offering her an umbrella? That was so nice! Tiara's eyes widened and she was quick to take it, throwing out another thanks and momentarily slipping back into the rain, at least to open up the umbrella and hold it above her. Maybe Princey was sticking out from it a little bit, but it was fine! It gave shelter to Tia, to her eggs and to her team-
And then the hail started as the rain refused to let up. Tiara was holding onto the umbrella like her life depended on it. "Arceus- i'm sorry again, I should have checked the weather report!" Eyes flicked around one more to no use, they'd have to run or something to find better cover than the umbrellas, she was sure. Completely oblivious to Sonia being mute, Tiara kept speaking. "Er... Rough day, right? I'm- uh- i'm Tiara... Do you think it'll let up anytime soon?'
Her head tilted, the braids draped over her shoulders swaying heavily from side to side with the action. Sonia looked up at the girl, though there was only a few inches between them. Her lips had parted, as if she could actually voice the 'oh no' that would have been spoken otherwise. She tried to be careful, for that was a large Swinub that was also near her feet, and she surely didn't want to accidentally kick the seemingly energetic Pokemon.
And noting the potential hostility from her own Pokemon, Sonia looked to the Vaporeon, pressing a finger firmly to her lips. Mana gave a soft huff and looked away from the snake. They obviously knew who was the better Pokemon at least in size if nothing else. But Sonia's attention was back on the girl, smiling at the girl and shaking her head. She understood why the girl was sorry, but it wasn't necessary. She was happy to help!
And then the umbrella was getting hit significantly harder, the blonde peeking out from under the protection of the umbrella to see what was happening. Hail? Wow, it sure wasn't a good day for a walk was it. Sonia shook her head, shrugging and looking helplessly at Tiara. What could they do? Not even Sonia had looked at the weather report that morning. All Sonia was able to manage sound wise was a sigh. She found at the question, daring to look up at the sky again. The clouds looked angry, with lots of shades of grey compared to white. And she surely could make out a speck of blue peeking through anywhere. Meaning it would really depend on how windy it got right?
Reaching to her side, Sonia brought her dry erase board forward, a hole punched through the corner with a length of cord so that she could easily loop her sash through it. A dry erase marker and a small piece of cloth were also attached to the cord with length of cord glued to the cap and a loop of fabric respectively. Glaring at the board, or mostly the droplets of water on it had the girl huffing and swiping her sleeve along it to dry it. Then the marker cap was removed and she was quickly writing something out for Tiara while keeping the green egg tucked under her arm.
"Yeah, bad day for a walk it seems. I didn't check the weather report either. Think I regret that bit of carelessness." Once Sonia was sure the girl had read and understood what was said, she was wiping the board clean and writing something new. "I'm Sonia, and this is Mana. I'm sorry, but I can't actually speak. I'm mute. But I don't think it'll let up soon. Not unless there is a big wind that picks up." Sonia held the board out to Tiara again so that she could read it while Sonia looked around. Once the attention was back on Sonia she pointed towards the trees with a questioning look. Would that be enough cover? There didn't seem to be anything else nearby. That she could make out at least.
Hands gripped the umbrella tighter as she attempted to keep it straight under the force of the rainfall, nose scrunching ever so slightly under the pressure and due to her concentration. Princess, not wanting to get wet curled even further into Tiara's next, even ever so slightly nestling under her collar, and Tiara was sure if Princess squeezed any tighter she'd have to tell the Silocobra off and hget her to maybe loosen up for now. Princey still stayed as close to her as he could, however he could see things getting muddy and... he kinda wanted to hop in and roll around.
Tiara for a brief moment was wondering why the girl hadn't responded, at least, until she noted she'd been balancing her umbrella and... a dry erase bored? Her mouth opened in a soft 'o' of sudden realization, oh! Her eyes scanned the words, obviously the girl could hear her which meant... she couldn't speak, what was that called again? Mute, yeah! "So we both messed up a little! But it's always half the adventure, being stuck in the rain, things can be sorta pretty!"
She bounced her bag slightly to draw it closer, so her eggs didn't get wet at all. Her eyes then followed the girl as she wrote once more, eyes scanning over the words once they were presented to her and smiling, or well, smiling as well as she could whilst struggling with her umbrella. "Nice to meet you, i'm Tiara, or, uh, Tia- this girl around my neck is Princess! And the big boy next to me is Prince!"
As Sonia gestured behind her Tiara held her umbrella a little closer and nodded, "Yeah agood idea- I think it's hailing?!" She glanced to Princey for a moment before nodding, and starting towards the forest area as quick as she could get, hoping for better cover before the rainfall got heavier.
A Poké Ball with a 50% chance of capturing a wild Pokémon, with a higher, 80% chance of catching any Pokémon that is encountered on Route 3A or Route 3B, or Water-types in the Crystal Lake.
Sonia nodded, chest shifting in her silent chuckle as she held up her hand with her thumb and index finger pinched together. Yeah, they had messed up a little. But the girl was also right, Sonia made a point of looking upwards even if she risked getting wet to look up at the sky. It was sort of refreshing now that she actually looked at it. The sound of the rain was rhythmatic and soothing. And the smell of it was pleasant as well. Sonia definitely nodded her head at the statement. It was definitely pretty in it's own way.
Oh, her name was Tiara, or just Tia. Sonia smiled, acknowledging each Pokemon with a wave regardless if they were actually paying attention to her or not. It seemed like the fair thing to do after all.
And now her blue eyes were widening almost comically, head ducking down as she gripped both the egg and umbrella closer. Oh no, if it was hailing they definitely needed some cover. She winced, almost whimpering at the potential of hail. That could actually be dangerous! Mana pressed as close as she dared with her already wet body, not wanting to get either of the girls wet. They already seemed to be struggling to stay dry as it was. The Vaporeon huffed, shaking her frills at the silly humans before they were hurrying towards what cover the trees offered. Though Sonia paused just near the trees, something catching her eye. Of course she couldn't voice her curiousity, so instead tried gesturing to get Tiara's attention then pointing towards the base of the nearest tree and what looked like it might have been a pokeball of some sort.
Instead of getting to satisfy her curiosity, something bounced off her umbrella. Two somethings actually, and without knowing what they were Sonia squealed out in surprise and fear. Mostly fear. 9f course this had Mana charging over and growling at the items that had scared her human. Wait, it was those stupid blue things again! There was more growling before Mana was swatting one of the blue apricorns away, the orb hitting the trunk before rolling back near to Sonia's feet.
Once she finished her act of cowering and she spotted the blue Apricorn she began to laugh. Bringing out here white board and writing out her thoughts. "Last time I found these, they almost hit me that time too." She chuckled as she held out the board.
Tiara was in a hurry to at least get some shelter from the rain, that refused to lighten or spare the two girls who'd just before been out in perfectly normal weather. Princess hissed slightly at the rain, as if telling it to dare get her wet! Princye, meanwhile had finally given in and run straight for the nearest forming mud-puddle, a soft splash echoing as Tara turned her gaze over to look at him, only having to awkwardly giggle in response- ahhh Prince...
Umbrella was held tightly, and Tia could only hope the eggs were safe away from the rain in her bag, arceus forbid the rain somehow affect them in any way. She attempted however to keep pace with Sonia, a wary smile being sent her way every few seconds before trudging further along. During one of these checks she noted the girl pointing to.... something? A head was tilted and shewas quick to turn her attention to the source, her gaze locking onto... a pokeball?! Oh! No wait, a dive bal! She bent down, quickly pushing shrubs out of the way and ignoring how damp everything was to quickly grab and pocketing it. "Somebody must have left there ball here... poor ball."
She was quick to stand back up and return to Sonia's side, looking slightly perplexed until she realized that shed also... found something? Her umbrella was adjusted slightly as Sonia spoke- oh? They'd fallen on her?? A giggle left Tiara then, "Maybe you just have a way of summoning apricorns, hm?" Her shoulders shook with her giggles and she had to pause to ensure her Swinub hadn't strayed too far, calling Prince over ever so often to keep pace, especially as the rain got louder and heavier.
"Do you think we need to get deeper into the trees? Or are we safe from the weather here?"
Sonia was also quick to burst into more forceful fit of giggles, clutching perhaps a bit harder at her sides and the green egg she held than she would have liked. But the situation was definitely giggle worthy. Marker tip met board, and there was definitely a shakiness to it and the words that it wrote that previously wasn't there. "It would be nice if I didn't get a concussion in the process! :P" And while the exclamation mark could convey anger at the situation, between the simile face and the giggling her actions indicated some good natured humor.
She knew she was a bit of a scaredy cat, with everything being so new to her she wasn't totally sure what to expect. And being open to things left her in these situations. Where she jumped at every turn. Little did she know that she would get pulled into another jump scare soon.
The rain was getting harder, and the trees didn't seem like quite enough cover. Not yet at least, though if they moved deeper where the trees were thicker that would probably help a bit. Though they increased the risk of getting lost, or getting tangled in the underbrush. But the potential for extra cover would likely be helpful. Sonia frowned, shifting her grip quickly to write out her comment.
"It might help, but we should try to remember where the path was to try and keep us from getting lost. And might be a good idea to be mindful of Prince in case the underbrush gets thick." Sonia found a good position for the board, holding the egg in the crook of her left arm and holding the board that way so she could write properly with her right. Then the fingers of her left spun the small board around to show off what she had wrote. Was definitely less of a struggle this way.
And with Mana being the largest Pokemon, and therefore able to keep a decent path for the humans the Vaporeon huffed before deciding to take the lead. Though Sonia was fine splitting from her Pokemon, giving Tiara a chance to go between them if she liked. Once either Mana moved too far ahead, or Tiara went before her did Sonia begin to walk again and look around at their immediate area. It seemed almost deafening loud with the rain, she couldn't hear any movement besides them as they walked between the trees.
At least until there was a snap. Thinking she had maybe stepped on a twig she began to look down to check only for her umbrella to get assaulted again. Now she really froze, eyes widening dramatically as her head oh so slowly looked up to see the shadow on her umbrella. One of the arms then snapped, a pin coming loose and flinging it's way into the brush where it would likely be lost for good. Sonia remained frozen, trembling only slightly as she let out a whine as something began to move. There was a definite weight clinging to the center nub of the umbrella. Then a very white, whiskered head peeked over the edge of the umbrella and chattered at her. Sonia continued to blink at it, unable to grab her phone and whined again to get Tiara's attention if she didn't already have it and wrote out a very quick, somewhat messy "What is it?"
Tiara was glad Sonia was able to get a kick out of everything too, especially despite the fact thwy were stuck in the horrible hail. Prince managed to eventually catch up, snorting in glee- this was his favourite type of weather! He got to enjoy the mud, and then when he was home he got to get warm and snuggle with his trainer while watching whatever weird jukebox musical she picked out- it was a great day!
As the whiteboard was shown again in response to her question Tiara hummed in thought, shifting the umbrella slightly so she could hold it with one hand while using the other to gently scratch at the pokemon around her neck, keeping her as chill as she could. "Yeah- maybe we just go forward so we know to only go backwards..." A pause before she cracked a grin, "And we don't have to worry about sweet lil' Prince, he'll have a lil mud splat then be at our heels, he knows what he's doing!" A snort is what followed from the large Swinub, as if he could tell Tia was talking about him, and she grinned larger. "Dontcha buddy- yes you do!"
Umbrella righted, Tiara prepared maybe to go a little further into the covers of the trees, ensuring her eggs were in place before adjusting her grip on the umbrella. She wasn't exactly paying attention to the noises around her, the sounds of rainfall clouding her senses, so the snap of the twig was passed off as nature doing its nature thing- at least until she heard a snap.
Whirling on her heel, Tiara noticed the shaking girl and her now snapped umbrella. Tiara's eyes widened slightly, huh?! What?? Tiara noticed her writing quickly and squinted- ahh this was maiing her nervous too! An uncomfortable giggle left her then and her gaze followed up to the umbrella, the girl shifting onto her tiptoes slightly before she left out a squeal!
Oh- oh she had thought it was something scary and shocked herself in anticipation for like a monster or something! A breath left her followed by, "I-It's a Nincada! Don't be scared!" Tiara was about to send out Diadem, aware the Klefki might be able to scare it off when a loud noise from nearby had her jumping?! Huh??
The crunch of leaves amidst the hail, the sound of scampering feet... Tiara was on her guard, holding her umbrella tighter and glancing around, "Ahh, hang on Sonia! We might have more trouble..." She said softly, eyes flicking this way and that before she spotted something in the treeline, seemingly taking shelter from the rain- two eyes, staring straight at her. Oh arceus- oh no- uh- Tiara moved quickly, she was too busy sheltering herself to be able to attack or send her mons out-
So she did the next best thing, grabbing a quick ball and throwing it into the darkness with a soft squeak.
Oh! That was a relief, it would have been a shame if what seemed to be one of her prized companions got lost. But if Prince could take care of himself, then all the better!
And this... bug? This bug was a Nincada? Now that the flight response was fading she could get a better look at it. There was some soft chittering, and even though it broke her umbrella, it seemed sort of cute? The green egg was tucked back into her bag, the board had a strap that was hooked to her sash. So it was dropped back to her side, bouncing off her hip. Now that she had a free hand, she held it out to the Nincada, guiding it down and off the umbrella. Finally the hinges stopped squeaking in protest as Sonia now supported the bug's weight. It was a big one too!
Blue eyes blinked at the bug, and green half blind eyes blinked back at her. < What are you doing out here? The weather is miserable. > Her soft mental voice reached out in a thin and gentle connection to the bug's mind. It gave a little chitter and tilted his head to the girl. She just looked at the bug, frowning a little at little as she took it in.
Darkness, boredom. Adrenaline! Oh! It was a ground dwelling insect, but it wanted something more and tried taking ti the trees? That's that vague impression she was getting. Would surely understand why it fell. It's eyes were used to darkness, and it was still brighter out here so it couldn't see too well. Her lips opened in a small o of surprise before she broke out in a smile.
< You are looking for something more thrilling than what you have right?> There was a slight nod and twitch of its whiskers. So Sonia held up a pokeball. < If you come with me, you can experience new things every day. I'm a new Pokemontrainer, and I'm doing a lot of exploring. Would you like to come with me? We can see so many new places and things together! > Sonia smiled, showing the ball to the Pokemon before giving it a gentle tap with the device.
A soft giggle of excitement left Tiara as her ball clicked and she rushed after it, careful to not smash the umbrella she was holding into Sonia's own as the girl seemed to be.... somehow communicating with the bug? Or... just kinda staring at it, Tiara wasn't too sure, but as long as Sonia was calmer! Tia scooped up her quickball with one hand, trying her best not to bother the snake around her neck too much as she bent slightly. A curious hiss left Princess and Tiara managed a hum in response, waiting to right herself before words left her. "A new friend, princess!" Is what she managed out. Princess just hissed once more and attempted to get comfortable, tightening herself further around Tiara's neck as a result. Tiara let out a squeak, pocketing the ball before quickly mumbling, "Tight- too tight- Princess-" A wheeze, what was her command again? Her original trainer had one that always got her attention but... it was in kantonian, right? Uh- uhm... "Princess, ya...yameru?" At her words Princess let out a soft cry, uncurling herself from Tiara's neck slightly and instead laying like a loose scarf.
A loud breath was given as she returned to Sonia's side, hands shifting to check on her eggs before going up to gently brush at her neck, it was only then Tia noticed the empty pokeball and tried her best smile. "Aww, nice try! It was a cut Nincada too!" Her gaze glanced back into the deep of the woods, then to Sonia, "Maybe if we keep going we can find a place to wait it out? Like big stones to sit or somethng- I think it's getting even heavier..."
Tiara had caught whatever had come her way, but Sonia watched the ball barely wiggle before popping open and releasing the bug type. Which very quickly hopped down and began chattering it's fear and running off into the underbrush. Where it was very quickly lost. Sonia frowned a little bit, the blonde sad that a potential new friend got away. But, at least the pokeball seemed okay? Seemed perfectly okay actually, it wasn't even scuffed up and the hinge still held firmly.
Sonia let out a little sigh, smiling as warmly as she could towards Tiara and her encouragement. It was sort of cute, especially the little whiskers. But there was always more Pokemon, and more Nincada. Sonia nodded at Tiara's comment about going deeper. Maybe they could find some place a little dryer to sit, or maybe even find more Pokemon. Sonia quickly wrote out something first.
"Sure, that sounds like a good idea. But not to be rude, I'm just curious. But why are you out here on such an awful day? Did you have some place in mind that you want to go to?" The board asked, Sonia smiling warmly but definitely tilted hr head like a curious kitten or puppy before she was carefully tucking her green egg back into her bag, and then making sure the brown one was staying warm.
Then she realized she hadn't done anything about her umbrella and sighed as she tried to think of a way to fix it temporarily while she still listened to Tiara.
Tia returned Sonia's grin as good as she could, glancing around for a moment before ensuring Prince hadn't wandered off, finding the pokemon a few paces away sniffing at a moss covered rock, utterly drenched in rain water. ..That would be fun to clean up tonight, but- later! Tiara blinked as the board Sonia wrote on was shown, eyes skimming over the words for a moment before she bit her lip, smiling fading for a moment...
She... couldn't really tell Sonia that a local gang was coming over to do criminal operations a few apartments over and Tiara was told not to come home until later, there was a risk that she'd go to the rangers and then Tiara could get charged for being a bystander or something! Instead, Tiara though of a lie on the spot, thoughts bouncing around her head before she managed to settle on: "My roommate's having a party that i'm not invited to, so... I decided to just kinda go on a walk with Princey and Princess, and my eggs!" Princess from dancling around Tia's neck curled closer into the girl, hissing in approval of her name- good! The eggs in her bag rattled slightly at the movement.
"I didn't exactly check the weather since it was such a rush decision... so... that's why I don't have an umbrella, haha." An awkward giggle is what followed and she used the hand not holding her umbrella to tuck some stray red hair behind her ear. "I could ask the same of you! What are you doing out here?"
Sonia frowned a little, head tilting to the side. Her friend didn't invite her to a party? That sounded a little mean, who wouldn't invite a friend to a party? Though... Sonia admittedly knew very little of friends. Or parties for that matter. Still, that didn't sound very nice!
But did explain the lack of umbrella. But a walk with her Pokemon must have been nice instead. Bonding with Pokemon was quickly becoming one of Sonia's favorite things. But with her question answered, it didn't hurt to answer Tiara. Which it was also nice that Tiara was being so patient with her written responses, even if they didn't take too long to write.
"I actually heard a rumor that I was very excited to check out. It was going to take a bit to get there, and as a newer trainer I thought it would be a good chance to check out something interesting while bonding with my Pokemon." Sonia supplied in writing, telling the truth but also not being the most forthcoming about her abilities. The blonde had no idea how Tiara would react! And as much as telepathy would aid in communicating there were times where it was nice to still have her own mind be private.
"I also have some eggs I got that I thought I'd spend some time with. I just need to fix my umbrella a bit then we can go further in?" Sonia wrote, waiting for a reply before she was shifting her bag. She had a hair tie or ribbon in here somewhere...
There! She pulled the thin elastic, snapping it. Now she just had to thread it through the pieces, tie it up. There, now it should last at least until they were closer to the city!
Tia continued to hold tightly to the umbrella as she walked, even if the path through the forest was damp and wet and she had to try hard to not stumble into a puddle she couldn't help but adore she weather. Hail almost looked like crystals, and the sound of it slamming into the ground, mixed with that of rain was almost calming! Of course, Princess didn't think so, but what did Tia care? The Silicobra would just have to get comfortable until they were able to go back to the apartment.
As Sonia showed Tiara the board again Tia couldn't help but blink for a moment, a soft 'hm' leaving her. "A rumour? Like about some sort of mystery? That really does sound peculiar, but it'd be a cool bonding experience, i'm sure!" A giggle then, and she continued forward, it took a few more monents but Sonia showed the board once more as Tia patiently waited, and immediatly nodded her head as a response. "Of course! Wouldn't wanna have it break on you."
She moved to look around once more while letting Sonia fix her umbrella, however paused after a moment at... a sound from nearby? Tiara blinked, confused, unti there was a flash of pink in her vision, followed by the emergence of a drenched looking Clefable.
Oh! The poor thng! Tiara rushed over to her, attempting to move the umbrella over her head for a few moments. The Clefable turned her gaze to Tiara, who ignored the slight feeling of rain on her at she smiled at the pink creature. "You're really wet- mm, let me get a tissue."
It was fairly hard to go to her bag and grab one with one hand, but Tia was quick to wrestle through and gather a handful of white tissues, gently patting down the Clefable who was just going about her day. At once point princey, in all his muddy glory had patttered over too, and Tia could also briefly identify with the sound of incoming footsteps from nearby, but she was... a little busy ensuring the Clefable wasn't too wet, the sudden hail must have been a shock to her system, the poor girl!
Oh- actually... Tiara had an idea. It took another second but she managed to grab a pokeball and offer it to the pokemon. "I can get you safe and dry and all fixed up if you join me when I go home!"
