Turns out that Arciel was very quickly growing on Simon, he actually felt like quite a lucky guy to be here. The move had definitely been worth it. He'd already seen Juni, but Adian still hadn't answered him yet. So likely his brother was out camping with no cell service to check his emails. And while Sai would complain about missing his brother, he'd also expected this and took the chance to explore himself. That's what he was here for after all!
So he had hitched a ride with another trainer which had expedited his return to Birch by a fair bit. So he stayed at a hotel for the night, wanting to be in a position where he could fully enjoy the traveling.
"Are you kidding me?!" He shouted into the thick fog that had rolled in over night. It was the kind of thick that it felt like one was wading rather than walking. Thankfully he could see further than his outstretched hand, but he still groaned and cursed. Kushina tweeted sweetly from his shoulder, leaning herself away to try and get a good look at her trainer's face.
"It's alright Kushina. I'll suck it up. The fog will pass. Eventually." He groaned again, looking to make sure there wasn't anyone nearby before he was tucking the orange and black egg he had bought into his jacket, still holding it with his one hand while zipping up the jacket the rest of the way with the other. "There, that will keep this guy from getting to cold or wet." He patted the bottom of the egg gently, rubbing it with his fingers.
"You all good Kushina? Misha?" Simon asked, looking from one shoulder to the other where both the Fletchling and the Pidove sat. Kushina tweeted sweetly again, while just sort of blurted out a long, low coo. Simon raised an eyebrow at the green Pidove, the look getting returned by the very cross eyed bird. Eventually Sai just shook his head before looking down at his feet.
"You all good Seri? He asked the feline at his side. The Meowth looked up at him and gave her soft little mew. "I can give you a piggy back once you get tired. Let's go ladies!" Sai leaned forward and began jogging.
Of course neither bird was prepared for this, wings flapping to try and right themselves while Seri began running after Sai. What a silly trainer she had.

The visibility was difficult and disorienting, even for someone who would push on no matter what. And Sai was definitely pushing on, though his pace had slowed dramatically after his initial jog. Narrowly avoiding falling flat on your face would do that. And he still had an egg cradled in his arms as he was eager to see it hatch. When he'd bought it, he was told it was a Growlithe egg which would be the first actual fire type of his team. At least until Kushina evolved, but that was a long ways off. They both needed a lot more training for that to happen!
Speaking of training, the young man was itching for a battle, for some adrenaline. Sai wanted to see his team in action and prove it to himself that he understood the basics. So he was keeping an eye out, at least as much as the weather would allow, for Pokemon or even other trainers. This meant he lacked focus on his sense of direction and he stumbled as grass gave way to sand.
"Damnit!" Simon hissed, holding onto the egg just a little tighter as he got his footing in the less stable sand. "This means I'm probably at the beach, or maybe near the edge of a river." He groaned, pausing to tilt his ear higher to get a listen. Waves on a beach, and the water rushing through a river sounded totally different, and when he heard the lapping of waves on sand he knew right away where he was. "Definitely the beach. Guess I should look out for water types." Sai murmured to himself, already heading in a forwards direction. He still kept an ear out, changing course when the sound of the waves became too close or too distant for his liking. He didn't want to risk going into the water like this.
Of course that meant there would be an incident.
It was when Sai noticed that he was getting too close to the water, way too close as he heard the slap of it as he stepped down. So he was moving to the right when another sound was heard. The young man couldn't see what it was though, so he just stayed still. Bad move. There was a large shape rushing towards the beach, though he couldn't see it until he heard the water breaking around it. Amber eyes widened and he stepped back as quickly as he could as something rushed onto the beach, slapping at the sand.
"Holy mother of Arceus!" Sai cursed, heart beating rapidly now at the surprise of a Mantine nearly colliding with him! Of course this startled the Pokemon as well, it's large wings flapping to turn itself to the noise before launching a bubblebeam.
Once again Sai cursed getting hit with a few of the bubbles before he could roll away. His birds having flown off his shoulders at the action while his meowth ran after him, a paw coming to his shoulder to make sure he was okay. And he was, though now he was in fight or flight mode, so of course he lashed out at the wild Pokemon instead.
"Misha, gust now! Kushina, tackle!" He commanded the Pokemon as he got up to his knees and checked over the egg. Good, it wasn't hard.
Kushina was the first to act, quickly flying towards the struggling Mantine and tackling it square in it's forehead. Misha on the other hand, stared at it with her cross eyed gaze before understanding the command and adding more force to the flap of her wings wit whip up the wind. This of course also kicked up sand and made it even harder to see. So when the purple, pink, blue ray shot forward the Pidove had no warning and was hit with the psybeam. She cooed briefly, already confused by the actions and now even more confused by the attack.
"Gust again Misha!" Sai continued to direct his Pokemon, the Fletchling now hovering by his shoulder. Once again Misha whipped up a wind, perhaps some clarity in her after all as the attack wasn't delayed this time. Another bubblebeam was shot blindly and missed, another gust buffeting the mantine before it stilled, fainted.
Oops. Sai winced as he stared at the Mantine for a moment.

It took Simon several minutes to calm his heartbeat and get his mind out of fight or flight. He was fine, he hadn't really been hurt, just a little shaken. He let out the breath he'd been holding. Seri looked up to him, pawing gently at his arm. Amber eyes opened, when had he even closed them, and met the eyes of the Meowth before smiling. "I'm okay Seri. Just needed a moment." The young man smiled, petting the feline fondly and looking over his birds that had once again come to roost on his shoulders. Though Misha had a definite sway to her. "You all good Misha?" Sai asked. Misha cooed again, though her eyes wouldn't focus just yet. Sai chuckled, petting her head to help her collect herself.
Then there was the issue of the Mantine. Standing up, still cradling the orange egg, he made his way over to check over the Mantine. Yes, it was fainted. But it didn't look hurt? Surely it would recover just fine, and he couldn't push it into the water himself. Not when it was literal dead weight right then. Sighing, he gave it a gentle pat, the only apology he could offer it before he was moving on.
And once again, something happened quickly. Sai's foot hit something, he stumbled forward, arms reaching out to catch himself. His hand met something, only for it to give under his hand. Sighing heavily he leaned his weight back to kneel in the sand and look at what he had gotten himself into this time. The fog was thinning slightly so he could see what it was.
And Simon was almost ashamed when he saw what it was. It was a sand castle, four pillars made from buckets of sand, walls sculpted by hand. And now two of them were crushed. Simon winced before looking around, but no one was there. All he heard was the water, no Pokemon, no humans. He frowned. And what didn't make sense, was the two items that topped the two remaining pillars.
"Aren't those ice heals?" Simon muttered to himself, taking one of the items to look it over. Yeah, it was definitely an ice heal, and an odd spot for it to be too. Had a child taken them and used them to decorate the sand castle? Simon waited, listening and watching for other people. But ten minutes went by, then fifteen. Nothing.
"Well, I can't let these items go to waste. They'll only get swept away once it hits high tide." Sai sighed softly, taking the two items and putting them into his bag before he was heading down the beach again.

It took Simon awhile to get that sand castle of his mind. He did feel really horrible for destroying the sand castle, even if it was an accident and he hadn't meant it at all. But he kept stepping forward, birds on his shoulder (Misha has stopped swaying finally, her confusion over) and Seri trudging along beside him, her paw gently gripping the fabric of his pants.
It was Seri who first noticed the odd sound, ears flicking as she tried to figure it out. And of course Simon noticed as he frequently looked down to make sure the little cat was alright. "What do you hear Seri?" Sai asked of the cat, but she just tilted her head as she wasn't sure. It was squeaky and not something she could recall hearing.
But as they kept going forward, Simon heard it too and was equally as confused. Though it made a little more sense when there was a child's laughter. Wait, a kid?! Sai instantly felt his throat gripped by panic and he ran forward to the source of the noise, only breathing properly again when he saw that it was indeed a kid. An unharmed boy who was playing with his Seel on the beach. Breathing out a sigh of relief Sai continued forward.
"Hey bud!" He called, startling the boy and Pokemon. "You're not alone out here are you?" He asked, squatting to be on the boy's level.
"Mommy told me not to talk to strangers." Kamil murmured, swinging his inner tube about.
"Ah, I can respect that. But what would she say if I told her that I was just a Ranger looking out for you?" Simon smiled, more like a lopsided grin.
The boy's eyes lit up and he nodded his head. "Yeah, she'd be okay with that! Rangers are the good guys." Turning away from Simon, Kamil pointed the way inland. "Mommy went back to the car, because she forgot her towel." Turning back to Simon, the boy smiled.
"It's a good thing she went to get it then. You okay if I keep you company until she gets back?" Sai asked, getting a vigorous nod in return.
"Those are some cool birds on your shoulder. And a cool Meowth." Kamil said while swinging his inner tube about again. "Do you think I could battle one of them?" He asked almost shyly.
Simon grinned widely. "Sure, I don't. How many Pokemon do you have?"
"Just two...."
"Then how about two one on one battles?" Simon asked. The boy was quick to cheer and the Seel slid himself forward. Simon smiled, something cocky and playful as he stepped backwards. "Seri dear?" Simon asked, the Meowth stepping forward and licking her paw. "Alright, you can have the move bud."
"Okay! Seel, headbutt!"
"Seri, Fake out!"
The two opposing Pokemon ran towards each other, but the Meowth stopped first, her paws glowing white for a second before she clapped them together. The energy was released in a wave, making a quick snapping sound which startled the Seel and caused him to flinch. Seel barked, shaking his head after the flinch.
"Growl Seel!"
"Feint!"
The Seel growled, but the Meowth was already running forward again. She dodged to the side at the last second and jumped to ram herself forward into the Seel again. The Seel retaliated with another headbutt, Sri staggering backwards a few steps before lunging forward again with her Feint attack. The seel whined, and another round of attacks was shared between the two. But in the end, the Seel fainted and Sri stood victorious.
"Awww! Your Meowth is so strong!" Kamil whined but still praised his opponent.
"She's a good girl. The Ranger Union picked her for me." Sai praised the feline, petting her head as she came back to sit beside him. His head tilted up to look at the boy again. "Good to continue?"
"Yeah!" Kamil released a Mareanie, and Kushina flew off of Simon's shoulder to fight.
The battle started with the Mareanie trying to peck at Kushina, but with her ability to fly the Fletchling was able to dodge it. Then attempted pecks turned into a barrage of poison stings instead. A few of the barbs hit Ksuhina and she tweeted in distress but shook herself off before pulling off her own barrage of attacks, swooping down and tackling the water type. Once again the battle seemed fairly even, turning perhaps when Kushina was afflicted with poison. But Kushina still pulled through, landing the final tackle before the Mareanie fainted. Though Kushina to fell to the ground in weakness and need of rest.
"Wow, your Pokemon are good. Is she going to be okay?" Kamil asked, running over to Simon to also check on the Fletchling. She tweeted tiredly, letting herself get scooped up before her eyes closed to take a nap.
"I think she will be. That was a big battle, but I think she just needs some rest." Simon smiled, reassuring the boy before he was returning Kushina to her ball for a good rest.
It was after that that Kamil's mother returned and was introduced to 'the cool Ranger guy' before they were parting ways. This time, with Seri getting a ride on Simon's shoulders with Misha sitting on his hat while Simon carried the egg that was beginning to twitch.

Simon was actually feeling quite refreshed after that encounter with Kamil. Sure Kushina would need a good rest, but now he had seen just what all of his team was currently capable of. And he was quite happy with it. They definitely had potential, now it was up to him to harness it and make it grow. He smirked as they walked along.
The fog was beginning to thin again, and that was something Sai was happy about. He could see more than a few feet in front of himself. He was just walking more or less aimlessly, stroking the egg in his arms and noting how it seemed to move. But there was something that drew his attention away. The sound of splashing, of a struggle. But, it wasn't coming from the shore? Unable to fend off his curiousity any further, Simon began to look around. Seri jumped down to help, while Misha stayed perched on Simon's hat. Though she seemed to be looking around as well.
"Oh shit!" Simon cursed as he had to stumble backwards, lest he step into the tide pool instead. His actions seemed to surprise a Pokemon, and the splashing came again full force. Now Sai knew what was wrong.
"Oh no." He murmured, kneeling down to get a better look at the stranded Carvanha. The poor thing was stuck in a tide pool. It was a fairly large one, but maybe only a foot and a half deep. Also known as, nowhere near deep enough for the fish to actually swim. All it was capable of doing was splashing around, barely keeping itself wet. Simon frowned, looking things over and deciding the best course of action. While a Carvanha wasn't exactly small, it wasn't exactly huge either. He could probably carry it far enough to get it back to the sea. Nodding he began to prepare himself and his things.
"Seri, keep an eye on the egg please?" Simon asked as he set it on the ground for a moment, taking off his hat and jacket before wrapping them around the egg, setting his hat on top. His bag was set down by the egg as well. Then the young man began to take off his shirt....
"So cold!" He complained, tucking his shirt into the bundle of the egg and jacket before his shoes came off. At least if his pants got wet, he had a spare. In the meantime, he'd have to put up with the cold for a bit if he wanted to help the Carvanha. Could this be his first rescue mission?! Sai chuckled at the thought, already squatting down by the Carvanha. "It's okay big guy. I'm here to help." He tried speaking soothingly to the fish, already splashing some water over it.
"There ya go." He smiled, alternating between petting the stranded fish and splashing water onto it. "Okay, here's the tough part. But you gotta trust me okay? I'm only here to help." Indeed, this is where the tough part began. Wrapping his arms around the fish was easy, but lifting the weight was a bit harder. Especially when the Carvanha felt it's body leaving the water and began to thrash. "Hey, hey, hey! It's okay!" Sai spoke up again, petting the fish's belly. It calmed at least enough to stop thrashing.
Then the young man began to walk his way to the sea, walking as fast as he could but also struggling a little with the sheer weight of the Pokemon. He stopped only once to catch his breath, kneeling and resting the fish on his lap as he did so. "Almost there." He tried to encourage himself, as well as soothe the Pokemon. Then he was hurrying the rest of the way into the water.
He stopped only when he was thigh deep, still holding the Carvanha and giving it a chance to get used to it's new water source. After several minutes, he let go, the fish swimming around almost drunkenly. "There ya go." Simon smiled, petting the fish as it began to swim about hit legs, briefly patting it's back whenever it was exposed. That's when the idea popped into his head.
"Hey Carvanha? Would you like to come with me? It would be best if I had a water type with me, would save some money on a ferry ride again maybe. And you're really damn cool looking you know? I think you'd be a great addition to my team. Can already picture you as a Sharpedo, helping me rescue other water types. What do you say? Interested in growing stronger with me?" He asked, already pulling out a ball that he had been careful not to let slip into the water. The Carvanha stilled in front of him, and Simon took a chance to tap the ball to it.

The ball didn't even shake, didn't click shut. It barely stayed closed before it was shooting open and the Carvanha reappeared in front of him. "Whoops." Sai murmured softly, looking down at the scrutinizing gaze of the Carvanha. The Pokemon and the human looked at each other until a thought came forward and clicked.
"You know what? Yeah, that wasn't the right way to go about this. I need to prove my worth to you, as a trainer. Not just as a human." Sai smirked, turning slightly to the shore before letting out a harsh whistle. "Misha!" The young man yelled.
Back on the shore, the Podove still sat on the brimmed hat, her head tilting this way and that. She had heard the whistle, it getting her attention as intended. However they didn't have the bond nor the training quite yet for any of his Pokemon to understand that this kind of whistle was meant to call them over. Which is why her name had also been called. So the Pidove flew, perhaps a little wobbly or ungraceful, to her trainer. Leaving the Meowth to look over his things and the heavily twitching egg.
Though the Pidove wasn't the brightest so she didn't even think to try and tell Simon. Just landed on his shoulder and cooed questioningly.
"We're fighting this Carvanha. And Misha, I want to catch it. So go all out, but don't let it faint. Leer!"
Though her eyes glowed green, but how intimidating could her gaze be when it was still cross eyed? The Carvanha's red eyes also glowed with a Leer.
"Gust!"
And with that, the battle truly begun! A gust was whipped up, buffeting the fish and rippling the water. Then Misha hopped off of Simon and flew above the water. She was leered at again, another gust launched at the fish. The Carvanha disappeared under the surface before leaping upwards and biting at the Pidove. The first try missed, the fish getting hit with another gust and falling back into the water.
It wasn't totally deterred however and leapt again. This time getting it's mouth around Misha's leg and pulled her into the water where it began to shake her. Misha panicked, whipping up another gust that stunned the fish and freed her. It was then that Simon through the still working pokeball.
The ball bounced upwards, landing on Misha's back where it shook it's three times before clicking and stilling. "Gotcha! Fair and square this time!" Simon cheered, collecting the ball from the floating Pidove's back. He put the ball in his pocket before lifting the Pidove from the water and settling her on his shoulder. "Come on, let's get back to the shore. Fucking freezing out here." Sai complained, goosebumps already covering his arms and limbs already beginning to tremble. He needed to get out and dried off quickly.
He quickly waded his way back to the shore, shaking his feet off and flicking water off his body. Simon passed by the shaking bundle that was the egg. "Meow meow!" Seri mewed insistently, gesturing her paws to the egg.
"Just a minute Seri. I need to get dressed. And warm." Sai objected, already reaching into his bag and pulling out his spare pair of pants to switch them for the ones he was wearing, using an extra pair of socks to dry off his legs.
Dried off, and getting stared at all the while, Simon grabbed his jacket. And only then did he notice the shaking egg.
"Shoot." Simon murmured, slipping his arms into his jacket and watching the egg. It continued to shale before it cracked, glowed, and then completely shattered. And in it's place was an actually, quite big Growlithe. Honestly a fair bit bigger than he had expected. It was all good though.
"Wow, look at you! Such a big boy." Simona chuckled, already petting the young Pokemon that just stared at him. "I'm totally going to name you Mikoto you big guy." Simon smirked, petting the pup again before getting ready and moving on. Misha on his shoulder, Seri on one side, and Mikoto on the other.
Misha continued to sit on top of Sai's hand, looking out like some sort of cross eyed lighthouse. And both Seri and Mikoto had been returned to their balls for the time being. As much as he was enjoying the company, Sai didn't want to push either of them too hard. So Sai was just walking quietly, minding his own business and stopping to see what little he could see.
"Halt good sir!" Came a girlish voice, causing Simon to halt (as intended) and Misha to let out a startled coo as her head whipped about to see who it was.
Simon remained patient, a hand on his hip as a relatively young looking girl came forward with a Pumpkaboo floating at her side. "Sir, have you not seen the weather advisory?" She asked quickly, not quite giving him time to respond. "It is supposed to be foggy like this all day with very limited visibility, it is recommended that you stay indoors." Her ghost type bobbed as it too nodded his head.
"Well, thank you for the heads up, but I'm here on official business." Simon looking down with a faint blush on his cheeks, already reaching into his jacket and pulling out his Ranger badge. The girl's blue eyes lit up and she immediately began bowing to him.
"I'm so terribly sorry sir!" She exclaimed, freezing when Simon chuckled and patted her shoulder.
"It's alright....?"
"Sierra."
"It's alright Sierra. I'm Sai and I'm still new to the region so I'm familiarizing myself with the weather and landscape. What are you doing out here?" Sai asked kindly.
"Oh, I..." The girl blushed, hiding behind her hair. "I want to be a Ranger too, but my parents won't let me. So when there is a weather advisory issued like this I try to warn people before they get too lost."
Amber eyes widened slight, but his expression changed into a friendly grin. "Well, you're doing a very good job. Do you think you'd be willing to help me with something?" Sierra nodded eagerly. "I'm looking to toughen up some of my team, would you be up for a friendly battle or two?" Sai asked kindly, but softly to leave her with the room to back out.
Instead her eyes lit up again with excitement. She was about to help a Ranger! How awesome was that?! "All three of my Pokemon are at your disposal, starting with Pumpkaboo here. Step forward Bookins." Sierra was obviously elated to be helping him out.
But here was the mean thing. Save for Mikoto who wasn't battle ready yet (and Chitose whom he wanted to save just in case and would also take reduced damage), he had a team of normal types, with normal type attacks. This was going to be interesting.
"Misha, you're up." Simon finally decided, the green Pidove gliding down from his hat and cooing cutely. "You may have the first move Sierra."
"Okay. Bookins, use Astonish!" Sierra called out, causing Simon to flinch. The Pumpkaboo made a scary face, eyes and mouth glowing red before the energy was shooting towards the Pidove. Though it passed through harmlessly. Simon looked even more embarrassed than before, and Sierra looked totally confused before it clicked in her head. "That Pokemon is a normal type isn't it?" Simon gave a slow nod before he was calling for Misha to use gust. A confuse ray and two good gusts had the battle ending quite quickly.
Even though that could have gone better, Sierra took it in stride with Simon's encouragement. The scout then sent out a Purrlion, and Simon decided it was time to bring out Kushina. The Fletchling was sufficiently rested and tweeted, wings flapping with vigor as she took to the air. Paws were clapped together, causing Kushina to flinch and dropping a little. The Purrlion then jumped at the bird, scratching at her and doing some damage. Kushina began to fall, eyes opening determinedly she tucked her wings against her sides, gaining speed to tackle the feline, pulling away only to gain more speed, body glowing as she pulled off a Quick Attack. A sand attack caused her to miss her next tackle, getting scratched at instead. This game of cat and bird continued, but the bird had the advantage in levels and same type attacks. Soon the cat fell and Kushina settled on Simon's shoulder to rest.
Now, not even knowing the last Pokemon he would be facing, Simon sent out Chitose. The fish came out in a ball of water, blinking red eyes and quickly spinning around to look at his supposed trainer, glaring slightly. "Caught you fair and square bud." Sai met the fish's gaze, the Carvanha still staring for a moment before bubble escaped his mouth and he turned to look at the battle at hand.
Against a Natu of all things. Another poor match up. Simon tilted his head to the girl as she was wincing. Seemed like she too know the type disadvantage in play. Though she nodded, ready to battle anyway. Though her Natu had no psychic type attacks to use, the Carvanha still had a dark type move to use. And it was his only damaging attack he could use.
Red eyes began to glow as the Carvanha leered at his target, the Natu shivering with the defense drop before pecking at the fish. Chitose turned to the side, taping the hit before biting the small bird's wing. It cried out in distressed, pecking at Chitose to get him to let go. Then it too leered at Chitose, but the fish wasn't as cowed as the Natu. His defense still dropped, but he charge forward, biting the bird and thrashing it about. Sierra quickly recalled the fainted bird.
"Thank you Sierra. That was some valuable experience. Thanks." Simon smiled, patting the girl awkwardly. She still smiled at him.
"I'm just happy I could help. Of you come a big famous Ranger some day, give me a shout out." She winked, clearly teasing the young man. Though he had a hard time telling that and blushed, murmuring a 'will do' before he was hurrying off.

A wind was beginning to whip up, tousling Simon's hair and hat, nearly blowing it off his head a time or two before Misha sat on it to keep it down. "Thanks Misha." Sai verbalized his appreciation, tucking the green egg he now held tighter into his jacket. And as much as he had wanted to keep Seri out, but he had returned her to her ball for the warmth. Misha at least seemed unaffected by the chill as she hunkered her fluff down into the hat which kept it firm on Sai's head.
Otherwise the walk was peaceful, if littered by the presence of several tidepools. Though like the one from earlier with Chitose not all of them were empty. There was another one where a large fish was seemingly trapped. But just as Simon was considering helping the Relicanth in a similar fashion as the Carvanha, the fish flailed, pushing into the sand. Simon watched as a path began to form around the fish, making slow progress back to the sea.
Simon watched as the Relicanth continued burrowing through the sand though water stayed around it. "Cool." Simon watched before he was still trying to help. Kicking his heel downward he helped loosen up some of the sand, dragging his heel through it to make a trench. Certain that the Relicanth would find it's way back, he continued his exploration of the area.
Post by Simon "Sai" Savage on Mar 26, 2020 20:58:11 GMT
Things were finally starting to clear up, the fog was thinning and finally Simon was able to make out the shadows of objects that were further than an arms length away. Though just as Sai was thinking he might get a chance to do some actual exploration done he was proven wrong.
Through the fog there was some flashing, a yellow blurred by what fog still remained. And of course, Simon was still the kind of curious person who didn't always think before he leapt. His curiosity quite often getting the better of him, especially in situations like this. Plus, what human wouldn't be slightly mesmerized by flashing lights? Misha was also cooing and tilting her head at them. So slowly moving closer Simon went to get a better look.
He wasn't totally surprised when a Pokemon zipped at him from the fog. What was surprising was the size of it. Simon couldn't recall having seen a Tynamo that large. "Whoa! Easy there!" He exclaimed after the Pokemon had zipped by and began circling him. Then there was another Tynamo, and another. There was three of them, and they were all quite angry looking. Cries coming from then frequently. Just why they were mad he didn't know, all he knew is he felt very much cornered. Chest tightened, breathing becoming just a little more shallow as had to dodge another tackle that came at him.
"Relax! I wasn't going to do anything to you!" Another exclamation came from the boy, only this time there was a weak jolt of a thunder wave sent at him. "Fine, you want to fight, we'll fight!" Simon growled, shaking slightly as the electricity finished running over his body. Now here came the downside. Kushina and Misha were flying types, Chitose was a water type. All of which were weak to electric type attacks. And Mikoto was newly hatched, not yet battle trained.
This was going to be a disaster.
Pokeballs were grabbed with hurry but also care as his four remaining Pokemon were sent out. Simon already fearing the worst as surely this would be an absolute mess. And he would need to think this out quickly. The bug one definitely seemed to be the most powerful. If he stood any slim chance at winning, that one would need to be kept out of the battle as much as possible.
"Seri, Fake out on the big one!" Simon called, already giving out commands as quickly as possible. "Mikoto, stay by my side for now. Kushina, Chitose, team up on the smaller one. Misha, you fight with Seri against the middle one!"
The fake out worked, stunning the other Pokemon, Seri turning to what Simon had said would be her opponent. Misha was already gusting at the same one. Chitose lunged forward, biting the smallest of the trio of electric eels, and as soon as he was letting go Kushina was charging forward with her quick attack. Simon couldn't really watch, his attention focused on the largest of the trio. All he knew for certain was sparks were flying and he hoped that Arceus would smile on his team and none of them would go down right away. What he needed was for this boss to become coherent again. And as soon as it did, he was barking out another command.
"Mikoto, hypnosis on the big one!"[/b
Mikoto's eyes began to glow red, making direct eye contact with the largest of tynamo. After a few seconds it began to drift downward, eyes closing as it drifted off to sleep.
With that another round of battle happened. Misha set off another gust, her wings sparking with electricity as she had been hit with a spark attack previously. Her wings seized with the electricity, causing her to fall and leaving her open to another spark that Seri couldn't protect her from. The Pidove now fainted, but it left the tynamo open to a feint attack from the Meowth who hit it extra hard. Chitose was also sparking lightly from a thunder wave, but was able to lunge forward in another bite that missed. Kushina was able to hit with a tackle. Chitose took the spark attack, the hit also causing the tynamo some pain.
The boss remained asleep. Simon was certain as he kept his eye on it. Seri hit her target with another feint attack before she too was zapped with a spark attack. Though remained static free. Chitose also seized with static, leaving him open and fainting to another Spark attack. Kushina was able to finish the target with another quick attack. Another feint had the other minion falling.
So things weren't looking great when the boss woke up. Mikoto tried another hypnosis but it failed, the boss hitting him with a charge beam that instantly had the inexperienced Growlithe fainting. That just left Seri and Kushina. Simon hissed a curse under his breath. There was no way they could win. He knew that but couldn't make his legs move to run away. "Get it!" His mouth was saying before his brain could properly think.
The quick attack and feint hit the largest tynamo, but it barely budged. Kushina was hit with a Spark and near instantly fell with a cry. She was returned before her body could hit the ground. Seri fell in a similar manner, not able to dodge the charge beam that was shot her way. Eyes wide and panic filled, Simon returned all of his Pokemon, tucking the balls into his jacket before he was running away as quickly as he could. Lest the tynamo target him instead.
Everyone faints, but Kushina gains 1 level, Chitose 1 level, and Seri gains 2 from the minion defeats Kushina, lvl 7 to 8 Seri, lvl 6 to 8 Chitose, lvl 4 to 5
