To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on May 31. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
The fresh smell of a post-storm sky greeted Julia as she walked along Route 7, her rain boots squishing in the mud. Thunder rumbled in the distance, but it was moving away from her, leaving only dark, cloudy skies behind. As much as she would have preferred sunshine, Julia didn't let the clouds bother her, instead opting to enjoy the unique atmosphere that the storm had left behind. With the weather clearing up, she felt safer letting Shadow out; the Zorua had decided to disguise himself as a Morpeko for the occasion.
As the thunder rolled away, a new sound overtook it. Was that... whistling? A lot of it? Julia and Shadow looked at each other and then toward the source of the sound.

Pollen drifted in on the wind, as Kaisei rode through the mountains. [break][break] Kaisei did not like the pollen. It was sweet, like ladies' perfume, and it got onto his clothes, despite his most vigorous efforts to bat it away. Unfortunately for him, however, he was with Murakumo, and the Swablu seemed to delight at having the pollen intermingled with his cloudlike feathers. He sniffed the air, then drifted off in a direction other than where Kaisei had been going. With them were three eggs - a Karrablast in the front basket of the bike, and two Bounsweet strapped to the rack in the back. He had not anticipated a ride through the rougher parts of the trail - he was simply planning to cycle up and down the main path a few times to hatch the eggs, as one did. Yet now he was obligated to follow Murakumo. [break][break] The side trail led to a mountain meadow where Kaisei saw a large group of unfamiliar Grass-type Pokemon floating through the air. His Pokedex app confirmed them as Gossifleur - a Galarian Pokemon. By the time he looked up again, Murakumo was doing loop-de-loops around the edge of the swarm, trying to entice them to play. [break][break] Party: Absol (Saber, Lv8, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv6, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv5, 5/5 Energy), Bounsweet Egg (1/3 hatching posts), Bounsweet Egg (1/3 hatching posts), Karrablast Egg (1/3 hatching posts) [break][break] Notes: 204 WC[break]
A small Gossifleur watfted out from the group, landing on the ground on its stumpy leg before springing back up into the air, its petals catching the wind. For a while it and Murakumo drifted in slow circles around each other. But Kaisei hadn't come here to enjoy the beauty of nature. He came to catch a Pokemon. [break][break] "Murakumo, use Sing attack!" [break][break] SvUuqWXAp_ [break][break] The soporific song took effect with startling immediacy. The Gossifleur's eyes drooped shut and its petals started drooping as well. One by one, they folded up around its body, as if cradling a baby, and it began to fall to the ground -- but slowly, given it was lightweight and already somewhat buoyant. Murakumo landed on the ground beside it as it lightly snored. He could see a snot bubble coming out from where its nose would be on a human face. [break][break] "Murakumo, give it a Peck -- but, gently, okay?" he said. Too much aggression would just knock out the flower Pokemon, and with as delicate as it seemed to be, he didn't want to take any chances. Kaisei watched as the Swablu gave the Gossifleur a boop on the middle of the head, where its small flower was, albeit a boop from a rather sharp beak. Then he picked up a Pokeball and threw it, sucking in the sleeping Pokemon. [break][break] Party: Absol (Saber, Lv8, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv6, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv5, 5/5 Energy), Bounsweet Egg (2/3 hatching posts), Bounsweet Egg (2/3 hatching posts), Karrablast Egg (2/3 hatching posts) [break][break] Notes: 222 WC[break] Using a Pokeball to catch Gossifleur. +10% catch rate due to Asleep.
At first, all Julia saw was a field of flowers: most were yellow, some were blue, and there were even a couple of pink ones scattered in. But then she realized just how big the flowers were... and that the whistling was coming from that direction...
Wait, those weren't flowers at all! "It's a bunch of Gossifleur!" Julia said. "Come on, let's get a closer look!" Shadow's illusion squeaked in agreement and then followed Julia as she jogged out to the field where the Flowering Pokémon had gathered.
As she got closer, one of the yellow-flowered Gossifleur noticed her and floated up toward her. Julia met him halfway and beamed as he twirled around her.
"Hi!" she said. The Gossifleur whistled in greeting and did a quick spin. Julia tried to mimic the move by spinning on the toes of her right foot, but the uneven ground combined with the weight of her metallic left leg caused her to tip off-balance and fall back into the wet grass with a "Whoa!" Shadow tried to catch her, but he realized moments after grabbing her leg that there was little he could actually do, so he got out of the way before he was squashed. He ran to Julia's head, squeaking in concern, only to find Julia laughing. He sighed with relief at seeing that she wasn't hurt.
"I guess I should be more careful with that," Julia said. Shadow let out a little huff, somewhat annoyed at his trainer's carelessness. Julia reached over to pat his head to placate him. A light weight landed on her stomach, and she looked up to see the Gossifleur staring down at her. She smiled at him and started to sit up, prompting the Gossifleur to hop off and land on the ground next to her.
"Aww, I'm all muddy now." Julia pouted as she ran a hand through her hair. "I guess we should find somewhere to clean up." She stood and waved at the Gossifleur. "See you!"
She'd only taken a few steps forward when Shadow let out a squeak. Julia turned around to see the Gossifleur following them. "Oh! Do you wanna come with us?" she asked. The Gossifleur whistled. Julia figured that was probably a yes.

Elizabeth reached down and patted the slender neck of the galarian rapidash she was astride. Violet nickered softly as she trotted along the route. Perched atop the girl's head was a rather small dedenne who was preoccupied with attempting to open some form of nut. Lumbering behind though, moving at a surprising pace for her size, was Tansy who was enjoying the recent rise in temperature.
Overhead was the large dragon form of the salamence Ryu upon which Raya the lucario was astride. Only one of Elizabeth's team was not out with the others as the blissey was unable to keep up with the four legged members of Liz's team, plus her short legs and egg like physique made riding difficult as well.
As for their presence on the route, the team was once more out searching for the rumored swarming pokemon in the area. Elizabeth was unfamiliar with this particular species and was interested to learn more. It was also a good chance to let Ryu stretch his wings before their flight training later on and get to know two of her newer team members Violet and Demi. The group was on alert, watching and listening for any telltale signs of pokemon in the tall grass.

Movement in the nearby grass caught Violet's attention. The rapidash drew to a halt then pawed the ground and gestured with her head toward the spot.
"I believe I spotted movement there Elizabeth."
The telepathic ranger picked up the psychic horse's thoughts and nodded as she slipped from the saddle and dropped quietly to the ground. Demi clung to the girl's head as she moved but was still quite intent on her nut, not all that interested in their current endeavor. Ryu dropped in altitude but remained airborne, he and Raya observing from overhead in case they were needed.
"It looks like there's a purple... cottonball? A few meters to your left."
The lucario informed her trainer from her view point astride the salamence. Tansy moved up alongside Violet and the pair watched in interest as Liz moved toward where Raya had indicated. Now she too could see the fluffy form of the eldegoss, the odd coloration standing out against the green and yellowed grasses. The ranger paused and smiled a little at the unusual grass type as she reached for Eva's pokeball.
"Okay now, Eva let's do this quietly."
Liz released the blissey and motioned to the eldegoss. She nodded to Eva who grinned happily at her trainer before stepping forward and beginning a sweet lullaby in order to ease their target into a deep sleep. The eldegoss turned groggily towards them as she realized she'd been engaged in battle. She wailed with her Hyper Voice in response, causing Liz to clamp her hands over her ears and the rest of her team to do the same.
Eva winced from the attack but kept singing and soon the eldegoss slumped to the ground asleep. The ranger rubbed her ears for a moment before moving closer to the sleeping eldegoss. She retrieved a white premier ball then tossed it toward the grass type hopeful the ball would hold.
Eldegoss is asleep. +10% catch rate. Using Premier Ball.
(Please note that's a battle capture, not a befriend capture! The +10% would not apply here. Though as you're about to see, you didn't need that extra nudge.)
Another pleasant stroll through the mountainous route seven wasn't a bad way to spend a morning, and Maeve was always looking for a chance to take her eggs out on walks. Her backpack had two slots specifically made for holding them comfortably as she walked. In front of her Attie trounced and trilled, and behind her Duckling waddled almost right at her ankles, peeping on occasion from worry.
"Don't worry, Duckling, it's perfectly safe out here." Maeve smiled down at the little egg. "The wind is strong, but it won't carry you off."
Attie made another loud noise--almost like a quack, which was weird because she was certainly a turtle--and hopped towards a shrub on the side of the path. Maeve watched her go with a raised brow. Had she seen something in there? Someone? "Don't go too far, Attie!"

From the bushes Attie had run into there came a small yelp and the loud rustling of brush, and after a moment of confused silence Attie came out with her vines wrapped tight around something very, very colorful. It had its stubby arms hiding its face, which did absolutely nothing to hide it from Maeve's view. Her eyes went wide. What kind of Pokemon was this? It was beautiful! And those colors...wait, no, she knew what kind of Pokemon it was--it was a Gossifluer, one of Galar's native Pokemon. What was it doing out here?
And what in the world were those gorgeous colors? She'd never seen the likes of them before! Attie, looking quite proud of her find, continued to hold the very embarrassed looking flower in her arms, not letting go. A beautiful Pokemon like that would surely produce similarly lovely children. And Attie seemed...oddly smitten by them.
Hmm. Were Gossifleur and Turtwig in the same breeding category? That would be very, very beneficial for her. "Excellent catch, Attie. Now hold him still," Maeve smiled slyly and from her hip took out an unused pokeball. The shell of it was blue and yellow rather than the standard red. This fellow looked too strong for her party right now, so for now, a quick ball was what would be best for catching him.
With a quick wrist she shot the ball right for the Gossifleur's flower.

[attr="class","curragepost"] Callie had been pretty swamped recently managing the girls, and her efforts as a trainer had fallen by the wayside as a result. But when she heard there was a Gossifleur swarm pretty close by and saw some of the colors they came in, she decided she could take a day off to try to find one and do some training.
So she'd hopped a bus down to Birch, and now wandered around just outside the city with Muffin at her side. The Purrloin could be moody, sure, but she had sharp eyes, especially for catching flashy things, and, well, it wasn't Callie's fault Gossifleur looked a bit like a cat toy, heh. Not that she'd let Muffin beat the Pokemon up for no reason or anything like that, of course! That would be mean. But if her instincts helped Callie just to find one, that would be fine.
"See anything yet?" she asked, taking another hard look around herself.
[attr="class","curragepost"] Nothing turned up immediately, but eventually Muffin's ears perked and she took to all fours to dart off to one side. "Huh? Muffin!" Callie followed her around a small rocky outcropping to a flowery meadow, and at the edge what should be there but a cute little Gossifleur. "Oh!"
Awww, it was just a normal one. She'd really hoped for one of the rarer colors, but then, this one was so small and sweet-looking, and she didn't know if she'd be able to find another by the end of the day, so no sense looking a gift Horsea in the mouth. She thought to be friendly, but before she knew it Muffin was charging in with a Dark Pulse. "Muffin!" she huffed, scolding. Oh well, a battle wasn't so bad.
The Gossifleur was damaged a fair bit by the attack, retaliating with a Leafage, but Muffin took it well and unleashed another Dark Pulse. Gossifleur then tried to Sing, but the attack missed; Muffin's Copycat version, however, did not, and soon the Gossifleur was nodding off to dream land.
"Oh! Here's our chance huh?" Callie dug for a PokeBall and tossed it at the Gossifleur.
